Clean room, staff very helpful and polite. Bar staff were fabulous and food was very good (the only thing was they brought nuts and popcorn with the drinks so I struggled to eat my meal)!😀
Sushi restaurant was amazing, first time I’ve had sushi and it was delicious. The only fault was the pool area. It was lovely I must say with the comfortable sun loungers and heated pool but as a Northern European who doesn’t get much sun and loves to sunbathe, the sun went behind the hotel building at 1pm leaving us in the shade which was a bit disappointing. Apart from that we cannot fault the golden tulip.

Fabulous hotel, great customer service

The room was fabulous, spacious, very clean, mini-fridge, and self serve coffee station. Was on the 28th floor with a fabulous view of the city. The breakfast buffet was amazing.

This hotel knows hospitality, the service was excellent, they allowed early check in and late check out. Generous with amneties and cleaning done to an excellent standard I was really impressed by the hotels standards. Friendly staff around the hotel and lots of services on offer i.e spa, gym, pool, onsite restaurant, prayer room etc.

Avoid this hotel if you are coming to enjoy your time and spent a nice vacation.
I would highly recommend that you avoid this hotel, its the worst hotel i have ever checked in at, the A/C is so noisy in the room and I have asked the receptionist to switch my room and he actually did come to my room and said the whole rooms in this hotel comes this way, the furniture is very old, I wouldn't give this hotel 3 stars and I would highly recommend you to stay at a different hotel, the certain is teared and the carpet is very awful, moreover there is bugs in the room, and the toilet is very old and have water leakages everywhere and its not a 5 stars hotel cleanliness

The hotel was just so so. Nothing like it appeared on the pictures. Rooms had that dated early eighties feel. Beds were fair for comfort and the water only ever just got warm. Not hot. My electricity went out 3 times and it took them over an hour and a half to get it back on. Breakfast buffet was very good and likely the bright spot of the hotel. Location was good.

I was disappointed when I could not find an iron in the room to iron my clothes.

Japanese restaurant is excessively expensive.

I was upset with the parking lot. In the morning, the parking lot was locked and I could not find my way out. Even as a guest.

The cleaning guy had to show me a shortcut to leave. Very disorganized for the guests.

The reception and restaurant staff are wonderfully friendly, and the housekeeping staff are flexible, polite and professional. We enjoy having a gym available, but wish it were better air-conditioned before 11 a.m. Still, the hotel is clean, quiet, beautiful and comfortable in every way. We stay at the Golden Tulip every time we go to Manama.

It took sometime to find the booking, got a different room type in the extension, ! The room is so old and the bathroom is rusty , nothing in the room except for two small water bottles! Idk why this hotel is rated as 5 stars in Expedia. I wouldn’t have paid half what I’ve paid for this service. It’s disappointing!!

Room very tired, i.e. furniture somewhat \"knocked around\" being old and worn. Had to ask for consumables to be topped up on more than one occasion and things like dirty glasses and cups, after being taken away for washing, to be replaced or brought back. We were in Bahrain on business so had quite tight time scales. First 3 days the breakfast selection was excellent and readily available, on the 4th day there was a large influx of guests and the choices were significantly reduced with many of the previous items no longer available. We were then offered food specially prepared which wasn't a solution as this took considerable time and we had appointments to keep. However, my wife being lactose intolerant had soya milk specially provided which was very much appreciated. Parking whilst being adequate could be improved as it is very limited close to the hotel.

First at check in the lobby was packed and the receptiest didn't know how to stick to the line. I personally saw 2 people pass me in line in my 40 min waiting time. The room was old and the needs renovation. And the most annoying thing was the room next to me we shared a door and at 2 am the ladies next room came back and decided to continue their party at the room. The noise woke me up. After I complained twice the reciption sent the security to shut them down. That process kept me wake up and didn't had a good night sleep.

Great hotel in city centre near Moda Mall

Look dated from outside as it 80's style architecture but the staff are wonderful and the rooms spacious, quiet and comfortable. Room is classic in style but very clean, comfy bed, comfy armchair and excellent aircon. Wifi was great everywhere in hotel and room. Food in main restaurant was very good (didn't try the Japanese restaurant though), Windows outside were very dusty but apparently this is common in Bahrain due to the mini sand storms and sandy atmosphere they constantly have - and I witnessed a large eddy of sand that blasted me on the coast one day ! Taxis easy to get from entrance as concierge hail them for you. Use their airport pick up and drop off as it was very cheap, reliable and comfortable and easily bookable at reception. Pool area was a bit bland style wise and dated and was quiet but has lovely cabanas for privacy. Pool was however well maintained , clean and at a warm temperature. For the price I paid I was very, very happy with this hotel and would recommend it. It is less stylish than the latest modern glass and steel structures but has a refined elegance and excellent service, food and clean, comfy rooms.

Golden Tulip from what I had read on online was a decent and affordable hotel to stay in Bahrain. However, my experience with Golden Tulip was the great deal to purchase. Though once I had arrived at the hotel, my impressions were not entirely what I expected. The room did not come with wash towels, bad lighting, and the bed was a bit hard. I highly recommend for the lights to be brighter and the bed to be softer. Overall, the service was good. I was well respected and my requests were honored. The daily breakfast was really nice with freshly made juices and eggs made to order. Taxis was easy to get and the hotel service provided a daily trip to the Centrepoint Mall.

Not a 5 star hotel. Breakfast food just awful. WiFi useless in room and lobby. Had a terrible time checking out. I had no tags for my bags left at reception and the guy checking me out just said\" what can I do if you don't have a tag\" and left it st that! What training! What service! I have been staying here since before it was a Hilton. I must have stayed over 100 nights since 1992. Sad to say, never again.

In general the experience is o.k. Positive to highlight: Service in the restaurant - all staff is very kind and worried about you and your comfortability.

I like hotel location and very convenient.

As of today, this hotel is not a 5-star one; probably it was many years ago.

Complaint: In my room, when I removed the duvet, I found a woman's long, long black hair on the bed sheet. It is very common that cleaning staff do not really clean but make just a make-up.

Although I like to take care myself of my luggage, I noted that there is no front door personnel in the hotel. I arrived 2 times in a vehicle with luggage, and no a single time somebody was ready to attend guest in the front door.

I would stay again; I would recommend this hotel, however if I would find another hotel for the similar fare, I would try the other one.

I will say that the new section may be very nice, but unfortunately we were put in the section by the pool, which had not been renovated. The carpet in the hall was worn and torn in places, and smelled of mold. The room was clean but nothing special. The bathroom was something you'd find in a motel-- a sink crammed next to a toilet crammed next to a bathtub, with a sixties-era hair dryer affixed to the wall. The service fridge was empty.

5 star hotels usually include a warm greeting, maybe a glass of fresh juice. If you have to wait youmare escorted to a comfortable area. Instead, I was told by the woman at the counter to sit down on the bench and wait. I asked about internet service, so I could get online while I waited. She told me curtly that I wouldn't have access until I had a room number, and if Imneeded the internet now I could go upstairs and pay to use a computer in the business room. I declined.

Parking was another issue, as there essentially was almost none. I had to park along the drive that leads to the back of the hotel.

Even on a good day I don't see this hotel registering over 3 stars.

Very Disappointing Stay

The policies of this hotel seem to differ from guest to guest, I was not happy about this. I was requested by hotel for additional pre-authorisation to be put on my credit card during my stay, never happened me before, checking of mini bar at 6.45am morning of my check out. My friend also staying had none of these requests. They need to maintain same policy for guests. Was not happy with the attitude of the staff when I complained.

This was first time in the hotel and I will definitely not be returning. The comfort of the room is fine, its old and a little grubby but the staff do their best. Shower in bath totally out of date and needs refurb badly. Duty manager very rude, not used to dealing with 5* guests. I will be returning to my 5* hotel in the future.

My stay at Golden Tulip Bahrain

Check-in slow and I mean \"slow slow\" staff fail to concentrate on check-in and more interested in talking to each other keeping guests waiting.

Internet connection OKAY, restaurant OkAY,
Phillipina waitresses need to pay more attention to guest needs,
Indian waters were fine no issue with them they know the job and do it well.

Reception need to listen to what the guest are saying or asking for we needed to repeat the same request three times before it was acted on correctly.

Pool and (KEEP-FIT) room was great.

Room service were very good along with cleaning the room also.

Overall would rate this as a 3* hotel not a 5*. This hotel was formally the Bahrain Hilton and must be around 30years old still needing some attention in some areas.

It was so enbarrassing for me tht when i went for check-in at reception counter, they told me tht there is no booking in my name, or against my confirmation number, i e-mials HoHotels.com for my problem, and i didnt even got any responce, i then e-mailed my booking detials to hotel management, they called Hotels.com office in uk, n my matter got solved after almost 2 hours waiting.

Golden Tulip Bahrain again

One of the best and convenient and value for money hotels in Bahrain. Excellent breakfast with one of the best pork section. Easy to get in and of, only thing is that some renovation is going on and the pool is closed for the next weeks.
