It was a great experience! The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. They offered us an upgrade room and on Valentine’s Day they have decorated the room with red Roses and cake. At the beginning we were not sure abut staying at the hotel but after our stay I think it would do it again.

The property itself was very good and I enjoyed the stay overall. However, I was disappointed with the professionalism of the staff during check-in. They asked for both my ID and my friend’s ID, which is understandable. But later, when my friend asked for his ID back, I realized it wasn’t with me.

We spent nearly an hour searching for it, only to call the front desk and be told that they still had it. The frustrating part is that they didn’t return it to us during check-in and also didn’t inform us that they had kept it.

This lack of communication caused unnecessary stress and wasted time. I hope the management works on improving the professionalism and communication of the staff, as it really affects the guest experience.

Staff was INCREDIBLE. Always there at dinner and breakfast to serve us; check in was fast and courteous; concierge was knowledgeable. The hotel was located very close (5 minute walk) to the souqs and other shopping and restaurants, and the area was clean and safe. A fantastic place to stay!

Great stay, staff are brilliant & friendly and really helpful. One of the pools was closed which I wasn't aware when I made the booking but it wasn't much of a problem for us.
Only negative for me is that if you have allergies or dietary requirements then they struggle to cater, The coffee shop didn't have any options for us and no alternative milk to dairy either. I had to check every item and list everything as many of the stuff didn't understand what Vegan was and my children have allergies so I did find it difficult as everything including the pasta has egg. The chef's were very accommodating for breakfast but it was a struggle as the labels aren't all accurate.

We went for a last minute break. We did not realise it was Ramadan, but it was not a problem. Actually is was so quite we had the pool to ourselves for most of the duration. We wanted sun, piece and quite, we certainly got that.

Great Hotel, great stay, friendly staff. One simple criticism: the ridiculous lightning system in the rooms. It is so complex, one has to spend very long minutes before being able to get the place dark. I was not successful one of the nights.

I’ve stayed here many times. The staff are welcoming and helpful.
I have one suggestion. The staff in Elements Bar (by the pool) should do a walk-around every 10 minutes or so to check whether guests require drinks. As it is we have to go inside and order them ourselves. It’s a small point but one which would make a huge difference.
A mention for Benson on the front desk. His good humour sets a great tone as people check in and check out. My taxi failed to appear on check out and he sorted a car for me within a minute! Top class service!

The worst experience from the check in to the check out .. i had a bed with Stains when i entered the room .. all the corridors stink and smells really bad .. i hate to wait for over 20 mintues in the checkout to get the luggage taken to the car and i hate to carry them all by myself inorder to not miss my flight .. the manager shenny or sherry i dont really remember her name was rude and i told her the luggage asap and she just didnt care .. save your money that place is trash :)

This hotel is really lovely, the staff was great and the rooms were well appointed. Our only disappointment came at the Italian restaurant in the hotel, which was incredibly slow. It was so glaringly different from all other aspects of the hotel.

I stayed here for one night on a quick business visit to Bahrain.
The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Check-in was fast, the room was spacious and comfortable, and again, the staff was great all around.
Will absolutely come back on my next trip to Bahrain.

The hotel is centrally located. Currently they are conducting a programme of upgrade on the upper floors. I was disappointed that no prior warning was given to let us know that both the sauna and steam room would be out of action; the sauna for a complete refit and the steam room for maintenance.

Regency Intercontinental hotel is great hotel to stay in Bahrain, Staff is excellent. Great location and facilities in hotel.
Professional staff. I experienced a bit of issue with my booking (from Expedia) but staff handled the issue perfectly. I would rate this hotel with excellent service.

Bad experience all the way around. Total confusion for valet parking and checking-in. Lots of noise throughout the night - partying taking place at hotel. Housekeeping is very disrespectful. Will not stay here again.

Good hotel but not the Best!!

A good hotel in fantastic location but the stay was rated below par due to the housekeeping service. The hand towels were missing after the room was cleaned on the second day. Even when I called and asked for additional hand towels the attendant sent only a box of tissues. The breakfast had very good options but was a bit let down slightly by the poor service levels.

Close to old City Centre and main shopping malls.

Very easy to find location with easy access and parking. The hotel was quiet at the weekend and staff were excellent. I was upgraded (not that the room looked any different to a standard 4-5 star room), given a complementary drink in the bar and late 2pm check out.

Wonderful Hotel close to everything.

My husband and I stay here any time we are in Bahrain ( which is quite often). The staff is wonderful as are the restaurants ( the dessert bakers are second to none!). The rooms are large and comfortable, with great pillows! We look forward to staying here because we know we'll be welcomed like family every time. I just booked another stay for next month yesterday and look forward to arriving after a very long flight.

really bad experience, also Hotel.com did not send the confirmation Email to the hotel, so i have waited more than one hour at the reception to get my room!!!

They made my Wife's birthday so special

I chose the hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday and the staff there could not do enough to ensure this was the case. They were so friendly and accommodating all through the stay. They gave my wife not one but two birthday cakes.
The room was really good and clean. The mattress on the bed was amazing I really need to know what make and model it was as I want to get one for my house.
We would definitely go back.

Weekend in Bahrain...

We spent the Saudi weekend (Thursday night to Saturday night) at the Intercontinental Hotel to attend a conference in the hotel. The staff was pretty attentive except when we were attempting to get brunch in the lower level bistro. The attendant forgot my order and my wife wanted a bagel with cream cheese (not quite on the menu...but they had a smoked salmon with cream cheese and on bagel)...and they could not process that order until the Manager on Duty put the request in on behalf of my wife. We were given apologies the next morning by the food service manager in the breakfast buffet...and were given a free ride in their cars anywhere in Bahrain. The room was nice...but the bed a bit soft for my taste...and you need to be a scientist to figure out the master light controller in the room next to the bed. The spa was very nice and no waiting...even on a Saudi weekend! Given all that we experienced (good and bad), we will likely return to the hotel given the proximity to everything that we normally do in Bahrain...and the rates were decent.

We arrived at 3 am after a very long flight from South Africa, our room was not only ready they had an anniversary cake and flowers for us because we had mentioned it was our 27th anniversary trip. Christine at the front desk is such a sweet person and she always makes us feel welcome.
