Moorish style hotel- bit frail on the edges, bathroom require upgrading with low water pressure and lukewarm hot water supply.
Ok for a couple of days
Area is downtown near the Bahrain Gate and local souk.
For a total chill and relaxation I would recommend Seef or near to the Avenues Shopping Mall.

Great location. Rooms are large with a view of the city. A 5 minute walk to city center. Gold city is across from hotel. Next to that is the largest Souq in the country. Parking is available. There’s a travel agent on site. Restaurants on site too but many places to eat within walking distance..

The Delmon International is an excellent hotel; however, on the night of Thursday, December 1st, I was kept awake until 3:00 a.m. by loud music and noise in the clubs on the ground floor. After 3:00 a.m., a loud-mouthed neighbor kept me awake for three more hours. Staying at this hotel on a Thursday night, it appears, will not lead to a good night's sleep.

2 Nights in the Delmon International.

I stayed in the Delmon International for 2 Night. Overall I had a OK experience.

Staff where friendly and polite and allowed me a late checkout.

Room was clean but both the room and the hotel itself are showing signs of there age now. There was no Tea and Coffee facilities in the room but I asked reception and one was provided for me. Shower pressure was very poor too.

Most of the facilities where closed due to the current situation.

Plenty of cheap eating in the local area.

Best Breakfast I've had in Bahrain yet.

1. Not a place for families or new tourists:
They didn't let a food delivery guy come to my room but there was a lady in the 2nd floor lobby offering 'her services'
2. Nothing eatable
Not a 'good' menue
For my whole stay i ate out, twice i picked up the menue to order but couldn't come to order because there wasn't anything particulraly good
3. Very loud music untill 2AM
There's night club on ground floor that goes on an on untill morning 2AM. No way you can sleep before that time
4. Houekeeping was good
Clean and clear and fast. Room was good as well

reception was very unprofessional very slow rooms are very old ac premature has no control only the fan speed house keeping never replied guests coming for a meeting were asked to pay some 5 BD to be allowed to come to meet me breakfast as per my booking was as addressed free were the front desk rejected and insisted that i pay 4 BD to have it
in short it was a disaster experience in this hotel

Location is fantastic, right next to lots of shopping and Manama Souq buzzling with activities. Limited parking but valet parking available. Hotel had ample time to get our room ready as we turned up early, but went to walk around and returned much later after check-in time, but was given a smoking room when I specifically requested for a non-smoking room, and front desk didn't even ask or tell us it was a smoking room. Tried to bear with the room initially, until even the pillow was reeked with smoking smell, and upon calling the front desk did I find out that it was a smoking room. 1st response was that they were out of non-smoking rm, and when I insisted that I booked a non-smoking rm, agreed to move us an hour later. Other than this, rest of stay was ok since it was nice walking around the area.

Old hotel in the old part of the city.,I like the location because I can walk everywhere I need to go, gold shops and all......the shopping at the mall is the same over the world. Bahrain has that too. Many upscale int shops a cheap ride away. Delmon is a great choice for me..good rest.

Basic sleep and good breakfast.

A good location. I like to visit the Sheraton so itbis walking distance. And the breakfast is good. It is quite smoky. And people do smoke in the hotel. And there is a nightclub underneath, so not for light sleepers . Not a family place. Alot of visits from tbe working girls. Okay for a couple of nights stay over. Not more than that.

Better than many reviews I read about the place. No negatives in the experience. Room service was good and fast. Room was comfortable and clean. Internet worked fine. Room was quiet. No disruption from guests or visitors. Location was crowded and was glad to be getting dropped off. No idea about parking there.

Delmon International Hotel

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very firm which I greatly appreciated. Poo, area very dilapidated with threadbare outdoor carpeting. There were 3 problems with my stay: (1) The pool was closed because of a concert that was being set up for the evening. There was no mention of that on the web site; (2) I stayed on a Friday night and the noise from the night clubs in the hotel was horrific. It is impossible to get any sleep before 2:00 AM when the night clubs close; (3) The Wi-Fi was very very poor, even though the router antenna was outside my room. In order to get a signal for more than a few seconds, I had to put my chair in the hallway and use my laptop directly under the Wi-Fi antenna. DO NOT use this hotel if you need Wi-Fi access. The breakfast food was barely acceptable. And one additional note: This is definitely NOT a place for families. The hallways are frequented by Asian ladies who will boldly seek your company. Be forewarned.

Close to the gold souqs

My bathroom floor flooded while in the shower, happened within first hour of checking in. Maintenance quickly resolved the problem though. You will be approached quickly by the local \"talent \". Not a lot of eating establishments that are close.

The rooms aren't renovated.
Rusty bathroom sinks and bathtubs.
And the driver who came to pick up, didn't even greet us while we came out. Snapped a finger and pointed us towards the car, offering no help with luggage also.

Over all stay at Delmon

The over all stay of the hotel was good, staff are very helpful and always gives smile, buffet break fast was good which was complimentary, room cleanliness was good, also the hotel pick and drop was complimentary, the hotel location is very nice every thing available within reach.

The Delmon Again This Year

I really like this hotel. I've spent my summer vacation there several times, and I'm always a little sad when I finally have to leave. The hotel has maintained an experienced staff who recognize me as a regular summer guest.

staff is ignoring that your are talking them with masked faces and their eyes looking around to avoid helping you.
rooms have no warming facility it was too cold , i still have common cold till now
there is no specific rooms for smoking, do whatever you like in room , they have no control.
i checked 2 days early for emergency, but they refused to refund the balance as well as they refused to provide me with invoice.for my payment?????

Needs to renovate the bathroom

The showers in the morning had no force. Felt like the water was barely pouring out, and with great difficulty I took a shower. Overall the room was 5/10...typical 3 star hotel. Bed sheets were clean with carpets being dark and a bit worn out.

Too Much Noise!

At check-in, I asked for a quiet room, but the hotel did not deliver. Noise from the bars on the ground floor kept me awake until after 2:00 a.m., and then at 6:00 a.m., hammering, pounding and clanging took over. Needless to say, I didn't get enough sleep.

However, the staff were excellent. They were friendly and helpful. If I stay here again, it'll be because of the staff.

You get what you pay for ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 😂😂😂

We chose this hotel because it is centrally located and has a few bars/restaurants where we thought we could socialise. That is not the case. When each bar opens it is already full with \"ladies\" openly plying their trade. Breakfast is the high point an adequate buffet with plenty of hot tea and coffee but don't be surprised when the \"ladies\" join their clients for breakfast in their pick up gear. Rooms are clean and comfortable although old. Night club can be heard in room til the early hours. Pool and gym old and not inviting. No hairdryer in room. Great television and Internet and place to pick up if you're a single male into oriental ladies.

This is totally a screwed up trip of mine because of this hotel:

No parking available here. They even don't have curtsey to guide us for some decent parking spot. You need to park your vehicle 300-400mtr away in public place.

In quote, they say, private balcony, but they did not provide one. Reply with very rude, if you ask for the things. They say all these are based on availability, they wont confirm anything.

Room is full of smell of cigarette smoke, my child got irritation by this. If you ask, they say no other rooms are available. We need to suffer for that.

Never Ever go back to this hotel....

Great staff but in need of major updating

Staff were friendly and helpful, attentive and dedicated to the guest at all times. The hotel itself is worn, dated and in need of major updating. It needs immediate updating most of the interior of the rooms and hotel in general is worn out and needs what could be considered urgent work. They also want to keep your passport for the duration of the stay and furthermore will not release the passport until after you have checked out and they have verified that the room has no breakages! Despite the hotel itself being a serious disappointment the staff were excellent and totally dedicated to the customer. To the management update the building without delay and provide your staff with the working environment that they deserve.

It's a Pity Prices Are Going Up!

I've stayed at the Delmon many times, and it's always been pleasing. Everything at the hotel is great, from the helpful and friendly staff, to the nice rooms to the food menu.

I am not recommending the Delmon because its prices (room rates) have just risen sharply.

Clean Hotel in a Good Location

I have stayed at this hotel many times and the service remains consistently good. I think that the breakfast is good and of good value. I sometimes go there for breakfast when I don't stay at the hotel, if in the area.

Nice place for a weekend getaway

The Delmon is a nice place to get away for the weekend, with very friendly and professional staff working behind the front desk and at the hotel itself. The wait staff and cooks at the Café Sayah were very pleasant and courteous, and the food was good. The housekeeping staff went out of their way to clean my room thoroughly and solve any issues that came up, such as a clogged toilet, etc. The hotel is conveniently located near the Gold Souq and there are cheap but delicious local restaurants nearby. The hotel has just about all that a male guest would like to find in a hotel for a pleasant weekend getaway. I was very satisfied with my stay.

Nice Hotel at the Edge of Manama City Center

Had a nice stay with no issues at this hotel. The staff were especially good.

*People who like to go to bars/night clubs should know that the closing times have been moved to considerably earlier in this area. There are no places authorized to serve drinks after 2:00 a.m. anymore.

Not Bad...

From reading past reviews that the hotel is getting shifty and bad experience, i stayed one night on Sept and found the experience is not bad. There is no loud music and drunken guest in my floor and at day time, i even saw small children walking at the lobby.

But this hotel is pretty old and conditioned, it is like the Souk next to it; old but a lot of people visiting.

It was a good, medium range hotel. Smelled of stale tobacco a bit, buy nothing too unpleasant. It is within walking distance of many sites and taxis are easily obtainable to the others. NOT GOOD FOR SMALL CHILDREN OR PEOPLE WHO WANT QUIET AT NIGHT!!
