Our room was very clean, the staff was helpful and let us check in a few hours early for free, and the food at the restaurant was great! The location is nice - you can walk to the Tunjungan mall in less than 5 minutes, and walk to Alun Alun in about 10.

Clean, safe, great staff. Nice rooms. Great experience. Only complaint is having to walk down to the front desk with the masseuse after a massage to pay with a credit card, as they cant take payment with cards at the spa. Inconvenient

The pro: location is closed to a huge mall and eateries. Staff were courteous and attentive.Room has a pretty good sound proof.
The cons: Shower was a bit mouldy. Tiles in the room was uneven with sharp edges which is dangerous.

Great place. Highly recommended.

Location is fantastic. Place is very happening. Turn right and walk down to first road juncion and turn right again and an entire street selling local stuff as well as a market.
We booked 6 rooms and a suite. Rooms were very nice and staff very attentive. Only comment is the bath towels were a little threadbare. Other than that everything is very good!!!!

Close to Tanjungan Plaza, and almost all my meals taken there. No other attractions, amenities, or entertainment in the area. Quite noisy due to local drum practice in nearby property. Hotel was clean. Staff friendly. Gym and pool ok. Laundry service NOT used due to high cost. Used a local laundry instead, even tho inconvenient.

Beautiful Hotel Will Stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Swiss Bel, we loved everything, the staff were always friendly and helpful. The only thing was the Towels were a little old but overall, it was a great hotel to stay at very quiet for its location and priced quite reasonably.

Need to mention that the staff is wonderful. All very attentive and very friendly. We wanted to get a higher floor which was not possible for the first night. We were called to ask if we would like to switch rooms next day. Awesome for them following up. Not usual based on previous experiences at other places. When we told them we are checking out early, they asked us what they should prepare in a box to take away next morning. Berry surprised about what they boxed. Great surprise. Btw, the breakfast is very good. A lot of variety and the quality is great. The location is great too. I would highly recommend the hotel and I will stay there next time I visit Surabaya. Only one suggestion. Lower the beer price at the pool. People would drink more if the price wouldn’t be double compared to even very good bars/restaurants in the city.

Poor lift system causes so much frustration

The lift system is ridiculous and makes going to different floors very inconvenient, especially if you have family or friends on different floors when they aren’t able to put you together. Worst of all, they only issue 1 key card per room.

We were really surprised at how good our stay at the Swiss-Belinn Surabaya was. The room was clean, functional and comfortable, with good WiFi. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was really good with a wide choice, and the location was great with a massive shopping mall just outside the door. Price also good, making our stay excellent value for money. Really happy and would stay here again.

The gym is terrible. The hotel would score better by not having it. Pool is small. No hairdryer or ironing board in rooms. Bathroom amenities are cheap. WiFi was on and off.

Hotel staff were all exceedingly helpful with advice & assistance, especially Bapak Fery F ( Reception) & Ibu Ira ( Conceirge ).
The location of the hotel was very strategic; walking distance from Tunjungan Plaza Shopping Mall & Pasar Genteng ( Outlets & Vendors for local delicacies , biscuits, cookies and cakes ). House of Sampoerna Museum is a must visit place for both Indonesians & non local / foreign tourists ! Don't forget their Heritage Tours ! Another must see are those Pinisi sail ships at harbour of Sungai Kalimas river .

Close to shopping, nice clean room and good breakfast choice. 1st night the room has problem with air condition but 2nd night they changed the air cond control. Better but still not as cool as it should be. Probably the air cond split unit does not have adequate BTU or horse power in relation to room size.

Good location. Fairly nice hotel. Some staff were good at helping, breakfast fine, but some time bit crowded to get a seating, looks also popular among locals. No complains. But it would be be good to know facilities available at check in.only discovered there is gym later.

We had a black out at 7am on one morning. The emergency exit stairs were not lighted, although the lifts were down. When the power came back, we took the lift down to the lobby. Unfortunately another black out occurred before we reached the lobby. And it went pitch dark in the lift. When the lift door finally opened, we dashed out and walked down the stairs to the ground floor.

Perfect location, great rooms

Right opposite the mall, with an overhead bridge so no dangerous jaywalking required. Rooms were good sized and really nicely furnished and decorated, we were pleasantly surprised at how chic it was. Staff were pleasant and polite and tried their best. The one downside is the hotel massage - really quite terrible and not well-organised. However, overall a great stay and will return to this hotel if the price remains attractive.

Very conveniently located right at the heart of the city, close to Tunjungan Plaza.
The service was very prompt and polite. The room had a great view of Surabaya city and was minimalist and clean. The breakfast buffet had quite wide selection of food.

However, the room’s noise isolation is not very well, I can hear the TV of my next door neighbour and the street noise downstairs. I stayed on the 11ty floor and It’s 60dbs in the room.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Comfortable room, hotel is just opposite tunjungan plaza. Polite and friendly staff. Nano at the reception was very helpful. He asked our plan for the following day when we checked in at the hotel and even offered breakfast box for us to take as we will be leaving that night for the mt bromo sunrise tour.
When we had our dinner at the hotel, Silvia at barelo was so nice and she attended to us and recommended the dinner buffet which was so worth it.
We enjoyed the spa/massage which was open until midnight. The swimming pool and gym are both not so big but will suffice for our routine exercise.
Breakfast had much variety. Only thing is it can get busy and crowded sometimes but the attentive staff helped us to the first available table.

The housekeeping is not detail in cleaning the toilet. Left stain on wash basin even after cleaning the room 616. 2nd bad experience was the housekeeping left a bag of rubbish in black plastic bag behind the door & a dirty pillowcase on the table after changing new pillowcase in room 616. I came back at 10pm to find such unpleasant sight. 3rd bad experience - after checking out, reception helped to book a 7 seater car but he told me to wait below 15 mins. But after waited for 25 mins, I went back to check with reception. He told me to take taxi instead. I got to rush to airport with 2 taxis. Really disappointed with their service.

You get what you pay for

The hotel was fine for the price I was charged. It is just at a very busy intersection and therefore the rooms at either end of the hotel are very noisy. Ask for a room in the middle of the hotel.
This is also not a hotel for business travelers. There is no business center and the front desk can only print 3 sheets of paper for you. The gym is a joke, with nothing but an old treadmill.

The hotel is next to the Tunjungan Plaza mall in the center of Surabaya. The rooms are comfortable. Just the restaurant/breakfast could be better organized. The food itself was delicious but especially in the morning a bit chaotic in the breakfast area.
