Hotel was ok overall, except for minor faults in the cleanliness and the facility (bathroom).
However, the problem was the loud music from outside. Perhaps, there is a club of some sort.
The music was blaring all night, which made it very difficult to have a sound sleep.
I strongly think the hotel management should manage this problem for the potential hotel guests.

Bit far from the airport but if traveling early morning or late night then its nothing to worry about. The hotel itself was nice and felt luxerious. Cant complain at all. Also couldnt here tge other guests either.

I stayed for seven nights. Bathroom cleanliness was horrible especially the shower. The only thing that is clean in the room is the bed. Staff are amazing though.

Terrible service from the staff. Not trained properly to handle situations and they told me to go ahead to complain to their management. Rude and very unprofessional. With the price, there are many other hotels around the area thats worth your money.

It didn't feel like a 5* hotel. 5/10 points.

Good vibes, but the condition is not really good. The water in the sink didn't flow away properly. Also we requested for a room with a view on the city, but didn't get it. After asking the reception a second time, we still did not get it, even though there was availabilities as shown on hotels.com. Hmmmmm... Also the breakfast was very poor. However: It wasn't bad stay, but we def expected more from a 5* hotel.

Wonderful Stay

I stayed in this hotel for my birthday trip. The staffs are very helpful to assist every demands that my husband requested to prepare some birthday surprises. The room is spacious, clean and well equipped. Very good value for such price. The location is in the heart of Surabaya which eases our mobility. We are happy with our stay here.

WYNDHAM Surabaya is very well located in the heart of the city. I like the facilities and also within several minutes walking distance to one of the nicest malls. Room is generally spacious and comfortable

Good service

Very good service to hotel guest! I was not feeling well this evening so my HB went to ask for in-house doctor but they dont gave one. Instead the duty manager arranged his guy sent us to the nearest hospital, acted as translater, waited n brought us back safely to hotel.

Nice business hotel. Comfortable room @ good value

Good overall. Great breakfast, great staff. Executive class room was very nice. Location is awkward, having to go several blocks for shopping an restaurants. City touring opportunities are limited.

bad idea for family, only 1 restaurant open at 7pm

Dinning time (after 7pm), they only have 1 lobby coffee shop open and all other restaurants are closed. Shuttle bus to mall finished at 7pm. So we had to take the taxi in and out on the heavy raining days. This is absolutely cheap hotel operate.

I stayed many different Pullman Hotels in the world. They all perform the great job and great service. But this Pullman Surabaya try to minimize the operating cost. They are not following the Pullman Hotel standard and rules! I am so disappointed!!

Definitely 2 stars hotel only and worst Pullman Hotel I ever seen.

1) no shaver and no body lotion at all
2) 2 people room only provide 1 set tooth bush, soap and even the towel is 1 set too
3) those NEW towels looks so dirty even turning grey and still using
4) just use plain garbage bag to replace normal laundry bag with the hotel name
5) no map provide

However, staffs and managers are so helpful!

Great hotel

Hotel is great. Bed is comfy, elevators are fast, all the amenities work well. Location is close to TP (Tunjungan Plaza). A 10-minute walk or 5-min cab ride to go there. Return trip is longer due to one-way streets.

Didn't have breakfast there, so I can't comment much. I did buy fried rice from the cafe/bar area and it was tasty.

Fall short of expectation

The service was SO slow. Took an hour to check in. Safety deposit box was locked and hotel would send someone to unlock it within a few hours but ended up, nobody came. For such a long line which was waiting to check in, there was only one person handling the whole counter. When other service staffs came, we requested to open another counter to speed up the check in but was rejected. When other guest cut into our line, the staff just went ahead and processed the check-in for him instead of telling him to wait and attend to us first who was there waiting! This was the first time ever I was searching for a feedback form to complain while waiting to check in. The restaurant at the lobby was another slow-area. Drinks took 30mins to arrive, bread baskets were served 15mins after drinks and our main courses came 2mins after the bread baskets! All in all, we had to wait nearly an hour to eat and everything was cold! Room cleanliness was good, however the bathroom needs more touch-up seeing that the wallpaper was peeling, the ceiling cornice has broken off in parts and the tray holding the toiletries was caked with stains. The pool was rather small, especially when half the hotel occupants descended upon it. The gym was decent, faulty machines need maintenance please. Not sure whether I'll come back to this hotel.

Great staying experience with minor hiccups

I like the overall experience of the hotel. I stayed solo with late check-in and a morning check-out. Here is the summary:

Pro:
- Big room, cold AC, clean carpets and bedsheets
- Comfortable bed
- A lot of working space inside the room
- Many amenities are provided
- Great location
- Responsive staff

Con:
- Check-in counter at night is limited to one person and there was a large check-in ahead of me
- I received no shampoo, but a quick call to operator corrected my situation
- Wall on hallway has large mildew spots

I had a very pleasant stay @ Pullman Surabaya from 18-20 Dec 2014.
The rooms that I booked were high on 23rd floor & were huge & clean.
The gym facilities that can be used 24hr are also new.
Swimming pool is relatively good for kids & adults alike.

Zero customer service

1) my advise to d reception: PLEASE check properly bfr simply rqst customer to pay for rooms that they have paid!! reception asked us to pay for the rooms n rqst for receipt even aftr giving hardcopy of hotel confirmation showing that everything was paid in advance. They only accepted after i show EXACTLY the same confirmation as the hardcopy. Is this a joke? We have to wait about an hour for this plus i'm travelling with seniors n an infant.
2) day earlier we rqsted for late check out at 1pm (out at 12pm as stated in the guidebook inside d room) n they granted our rqst. During the checkout day, housekeeping come at 8am to clean up d room and we turned them down. Drama starts when they returned at 10am knocking non stop since they cannot ring d bell(we turned on the do not disturb sign). They insist to clean the room by giving the reason that we are going to check out today n we turned down their request again. Thought of having extra rest bfr check out.
3) reception called at 11:30am asking wheather we want to extend our stay. I have to remind them about our late check out request n suddendly she said that she just wanted to reconfirm about the late check out. I wonder why they didn't note anything in d system.
4) 12:45pm reception called again when we are about to go out rqst us to check out immediately. SERiOUSLY Pullman???
Other than that, they have nice and clean room.
