A dated hotel that needs updating and maintenance, a working breakfast buffet, better ventilation. Too bad since it’s is big, had a large pool, and has a good location with not a lot of hotel options in the area.

Hotel in a great location near the LIRR and airport. Unfortunately the area around the hotel and front lobby is a bit concerning at first glance - in need of some more maintenance and cleanup which likely raises many eyebrows about staying there. For me the staff was kind and the room was clean and refridgerator, air conditioner and tv all worked fine so I had no complaints after the initial concern. Think this could be a popular place to stay with a little more maintenance and appearance focus.

This hotel needs a huge renovation. It is noticeably old and dark, the rugs are old, floors are old, wallpaper, artwork, furniture, ceilings, everything should be updated. No one was ever in the lobby. The room was sufficient, bed comfortable although a bug actually crawled on me. Bathroom was clean enough, just don't look in the corners. The nicest thing I can say is that the pool looked nice. I also have never been asked at any hotel to give a $100 deposit that will be returned when I check out. WHY?? And no one is behind the front desk when you go there, you have to shout hi, and then someone will mysteriously appear from a backroom somewhere. When you go to check out, be prepared for this person to actually physically leave you standing there while they go to \"check out\" the room. What???? This place gets a bad review in my book: creepy.

The bathroom had mold around the shower head and some pills on the floor under the sink that were left behind. The edges of the room had cobwebs and dirt where the floor met the wall.
Thankfully the beds were cleaned. I will not stat there again.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone! Got into the room and there was no TV remote. Had to walk all the way to the front desk to get a remote. When I went to wash up, they were no cups! Had to call the front desk again and told them I could not come down to the front desk again. They sent someone there. Stayed there three nights. No one made up the room on a daily basis nor cleaned the pails. Only had two towels, face cloths and washcloths for the entire three nights stay

Please stop and read before making any reservations at this facility. It was filthy. There was no security. The doors on all entrances can be opened without even a key. The pool was filthy with items floating on top. The bathroom did not have toilet paper. we’ve asked the staff to bring it to us on Thursday. We checked out on Sunday and no items were ever provided when I spoke to the front desk and explained that I never received these items. She said that they can only accommodate cleaning the rooms and changing sheets when they have staff available. They overcharge everyone and no maintenance on the facility at all holes in the ceilings. The windows were so full of dirt. You couldn’t see out please do not let your children stay in this facility. I’m sure they may catch something.

The restaurant is shut down there was just somebody sitting in there who said he was the Cook but then he also was the guy who drove us to the airport
I went to the gym and not one piece of equipment they worked
The door jammed when you close it to the room
Outlet I’m very disappointed that Clarion is putting their name on a hotel like this. Anybody seeing that would be shocked.

Room was clean. Elements of the property show disrepair. The rugs need replacing in many places throughout the property, but the general character of the place is clean. The property is bordering the limit of the MacArthur Airport, so you will hear and feel the planes landing and taking off. Its a small airport, so the jet traffic is sparse, but loud/rumbly.
There isn't a restaurant on the premises. that area appeared to be closed. However, there is an very good diner across the street. I did feel safe. Staff was always available at the desk when I needed. Plenty of parking.

We had 4 people staying in the room. Knowing that most hotels have 2 towels in the room, we asked for more - 6 to be exact, so each traveler could have 2 towels each. He would only give us 3. We got to the room and It was so so in cleanliness - toilet, microwave and curtains. After showering, we opened up the pull out couch. Lo and behold, there was no bedding. I called down to the front desk and was told we had to go back down. When I got there, I was handed one sheet. I told him I need pillows, another sheet and a blanket. He told me laundry went home. I asked him again for bedding - nothing. I then asked him why didn't he tell me I needed bedding when I checked in. I got a blank stare. Another employee spoke up and said maybe he didn't know how many people were in the room. Ummm, yes he did, he gave us extra towels for the 4 of us. This employee went down and got us pillows, another sheet and a blanket. I again asked the first employee why he didn't tell me I needed bedding and again I got nothing but a blank stare. The customer service from him was atrocious!! I am staying in a hotel and have to make my own bed??? Unacceptable!
Also, the fire door as propped open and light fixture wires are capped off and left hanging - Fire hazard??

This is a real low end hotel maybe not even 1 star , its 20+ years overdue for remodeling. Had a problem with the desk staff inhad to go back to him 4 times in 2 days that my room card key stopped working finally someone else made a new keyboard worked.that clerk never admitted it was the key or him, really inconveniences me. ROOM SMELLED LIKE REAL DIRTY CARPET A DOG SMELL NO MORE CLARION

The property is old and could use a makeover to update everything, but that’s also part of the pricing compared with most of the hotels in this area of Suffolk County. My room was suitable for my sleep needs, the staff was helpful and competent. Some of the other guests showed unrealistic expectations but staff handled the situations properly, IMHO.

The room had a terrible odor and bugs climbing all over the surfaces. We tried to cancel our reservation and the manager refused. I have asthma and had an attack due to the smell and she was worried about getting paid by expedia. Never stay at a Clarion again. Called the corporate office of Clarion to report the hotel. Dollars over heath!

This place is more like a section 8 housing, than a hotel. People with Pitt bulls, people screaming all night long, the receptionist/front desk locking you out so you have to go back to reactivate your room keys. No working vending machines to get at least some water. The gaps underneath the doors are high enough that I had to put a towel down to prevent anything from crawling in. No elevators, so you have to carry your luggages via steps if you are the second floor. This place needs a serious makeover, otherwise it shouldn't be sold as a hotel. I will never intentionally book this place again. This was my experience here and I always find something good about any place, no matter what, but not here.

My room's bath/shower area needed to be replaced for several reasons. There was a musty smell throughout the facility. the desk people were not very friendly, nor informative. They had a dining area in the facility, but it was never mentioned with check-in. Lighting (the ones that had working bulbs) was insufficient.

It is clean and the staff is nice, but the place hasn't been updated since about 1981, it seems. The carpet in the vast lobby is bubbling up; the former breakfast area is cordoned off and vacant; outside my room, a bit of trim in the hallway had fallen onto to the floor and was still there the next day. The exterior door to the parking lot was incapable of locking (I think); like, I didn't need to swipe my key to open it.
At some point in its time, it may have been in a busy area (because the place is huge), but not any longer. Like I said, it's CLEAN, the shower worked, and the bed was comfortable, that is all that mattered to me.

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Honestly when we drove into the parking lot we thought the property was getting ready to be demolished. The paint was chipping off the outside walls. The parking lot had trash and potholes everywhere. The front lobby is in need of an update also. Lights off everything dark. The carpet was worn and smelled very musty and old. We were put in a room on the second floor with no elevator. The access door never locked at night so there was no security. The room is in desperate need of an upgrade. The sink never shut off. The shower was dated with soap dishes almost about to fall of the wall. TV is older with limited channels. Went to the front desk to get more towels because room service never came to at least make the bed. As soon as we got back to the room we were greeted by an employee saying he needed my dirty towels that were in my room. He told me he needed the same amount of towels that were given to me. I would save the headache of going here and drive a few miles up the road to a nicer hotel.

This hotel was in serious need of revision .
It represents Long Island badly !
I was extremely dissatisfied in the loss in quality of the physical space ie hallways, doors, walls . I am a professional person and my stay here felt as if o spent the night in cell block 13 . The lighting was poor , it was dark and gloomy . Old refrigerator and heating A/C unit were loud and kept me awake . There was clearly the scent of lingering cigerette smoking in the room .
I asked if there was a second floor in a different part of the hotel , I was told no , however there was a second floor .
All around the quality of this ‘hotel’ was that
of a 1 star motel. Truly awful !

I use this hotel because it is right next to the airport. That's it. The place is run down, but the room is clean. I don't think it was there fault, but expedia offers a bundle package to \"save you money\". But then the hotel takes away the amenities. I arrived before 3pm to check in, they wanted to charge me $50.00 USD. The place was 90% empty. In addition, because I bundled, I did not qualify for the breakfast. So you're really not saving any money, they are just stripping away perks that you should have on any trip. Next time, I may try a different hotel and roll the dice with the shuttle service.

The staff was great, the property is very run down, as you walk in the wall paper is falling off the wall, ceiling is water stained, carpets are stretched out and lose, gyn equipment being stored in restaurant, hallways are extremely dirty, window view trash in courtyard, fence broken apart and just laying there. Miniature pillows on the bed. Hole in wall above the bathroom mirror, felt like i was staying in the ghetto.

Wifi doesn’t reach parts of the building so if you have a room on the far side you don’t get WiFi. Toilet seat was worn (this is a cheap replacement fix that wasn’t done). Overnight staff was good but the keycard reader on the doors aren’t up to date and thus there’s trouble at times getting into your room.

Window being held close with a stick. There was a chair on the direct other side of the window. Like a watching window. Room dirty full of spider webs. Full time residents noisy. Will bang at every hour on the hours of the 1am, 2am, 3am and so on. Tv remote didn’t work. When checking out a day early they wanted to know why we didn’t call to report but the only phone in the room was disconnected. Parking lot has multiple signs not responsible for car theft. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy

Property deserves zero stars. Had an awful experience. Booked through Expedia but when arrived at the hotel somebody named John could not find my booking. After several minutes of trying , he phones his boss who was able to find my booking. Once I was given the room, it was several buildings down despite the entire hotel being empty. The toilet flush was not working. The wash basin was stained. The room was probably last updated in 1950s. There was no chain lock on the door.

The outside had lots of unsavory characters hanging out.

I wanted to leave but I was so tired, I just crashed on the bed.

Signs everywhere stating they are not responsible for cars that are broken into. Big red flag immediately. Upon check in they said i was not paid even tho i had receipt stating otherwise. In the bathroom in the room pain was chipping and pealing everywhere. The microwave didnt work either. Could have stayed at much better place for the price. Was more like a motwl then hoten. Room was 194 by the way.

The entire hotel is out dated. There’s treadmills in the restaurant area, the rooms smelled horrific that I had to cover my nose the entire time. My room had sheer ish curtains and no way to protect myself from the other guests seeing into my room. There was no heat through the building and the gentleman at the front desk offered my an extra blanket and said they like to save. They must also save on the hot water because I took a Luke warm shower and there was no WiFi.
