The care taken to provide a warm, comfortable experience with everything you could possibly need was amazing. The owners are very visible and helpful. The support staff were amazing. Breakfast made to order and so tasty. Could not recommend this place more highly. I would be very surprised if there is another hotel in Blackpool that comes close to it for quality based on our stay. The internal design of the hotel and rooms is simply incredible. Do not delay if you're thinking of booking because we will be back and will bring the kids next time too!!

We chose Number One Hotel as our “night away” instead of the usual town centre selections. We were totally amazed by everything this beautiful place had to offer. From the warm welcome, the tour of the room, the standard of the room and its facilities to the amazing breakfast provision. Will totally choose Number One Hotel as our place to go again - thank you ever so much!

Absolute gem of a hotel. I loved the location, a 5 minute stroll south from the Pleasurebeach. Staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived, room very comfortable with a touch of luxury to it.

Wonderful hosts but overall too noisy and no sleep
Excellent hosts - nothing was too much trouble. Also wonderful breakfasts with plenty of choice. But we just didn't sleep well at all. The beds very soft and our sleep was disturbed by noise throughout the night. Our room had an interconnecting door and we could hear every word from the room next door even when our TV was on. Can also hear people walking about in the room above as the floorboards are very creaky. Doors slam when being closed. Boy racers in cars with noisy exhausts race up and down Harrowside at night too. It's such a shame: if it wasn't for the noise I'd give full marks.

FORGET THE REST.....THIS IS THE ONE TO BOOK
The hosts at number one show just how running a Hotel/Guest House should be done. The friendly personal service, the standard and cleanliness of the rooms with everything being top quality throughout. (no expense spared here) Breakfast cooked to order was excellent. Parking was easy, restaurants close by and a very quiet location, so if you are visiting the Blackpool/ Lytham St. Annes area this must be the very best accommodation. We are quite a \"picky\" couple but just cannot fault number one. Definitely one for the discerning!

This is a fabulous hotel. From the initial check in, to all interactions, the staff were amazing. They took us to our room and explained everything, breakfast is cooked to order, bar prices are very reasonable for a hotel, room was clean and had everything (water, coffee with fresh milk available), sweets. Jacuzzi bath with TV in bathroom. Location is perfect for Pleasure beach and easy access to Lytham St. Annes (we were there for Lytham festival). Highly recommended and will return.

I have stayed at Number One South Beach a couple of times previously, and it is my favourite spot to stay when I'm in Blackpool. A supremely comfortable 5* boutique hotel, it provides the warmest of welcomes from the fantastically friendly owner-managers (Mark, Graham and Janet) together with the highest standards of customer care...not to mention delicious breakfasts. When I was very badly let down by CCabs, a local taxi firm, having booked a car 24 hours in advance to take me to a time-specific event and it didn't turn up, Mark dropped everything he was doing to rescue me and drive me to my venue. Not many hotel owners would do that, and I shall be eternally grateful. This is a gem of a hotel that I highly recommend.

Stayed here 2 nights to relax and I definitely accomplished that. It’s quiet and peaceful with a nice view. Staff friendly and helpful. The thing I was looking most forward to was the bath and I was not disappointed.
If you’re staying here probably take some water bottles. I felt bad as I had to ask 4/5 times for them to refill mine for the kettle and for drinking.

Excellent service from check in and checkout , how’s to be hands down the best hotel I’ve stopped in Blackpool ( including the big name ones) . I stop in around 55 hotels a year . A charming hotel with a friendly welcome and great service. Lovely bathroom with both shower and bath. I chose a room with a small balcony and a view over a small park with sea to the side.
The bed was too soft for my liking giving me back ache.
Disappointingly, the toiletries provided are all in small plastic bottles. Tram stop nearby and beach right on doorstep.
