When we originally got there, we were given a ground floor room that was dark and dingy and freezing. There were also someone’s dirty socks left in the shelf. There was also a wedding going on and the room we were given was right next to it so was very loud. I spoke to the reception and they were nice enough and moved us to the top floor this room was also small and the beds didn’t even feel like full size double.
My husband got a shower and the shower fell off the wall while he was in it. There were also dirty marks on the toilet. Although the music was quieter from here, you could still hear it way past midnight.

I have stayed a the hotel a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. It is a lovely hotel, the bar area is very nice and rooms are nicely presented. My only criticism this time is we were in quite a noisy room, ( 11 ) with creaking floorboards, running water, toilets flushing in surrounding rooms. As a consequence my daughter and I didn’t have the best nights sleep. I mentioned to the lady on reception when checking out but she completely ignored my comment. If I stay again which I likely will I don’t want room 11!

Hotel was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the room was very small and the shower overflowed and flooded the bathroom when my partner uses it, so I wasn’t able to have a shower. Apparently it’s an issue with the drain.

This is a lovely hotel that is clean, the food and service is good, but the WiFi on the first floor (Room 22) was terrible which is a shame as I had to work in the evenings and use my phone as a hotspot as my mobile 4G was faster and more stable than the WiFi signal in my room. The reception did ask their IT team to reset the network, but it made no difference.

We liked breakfast and bedroom. The. waste bin in the bedroom had previous ladies underwear in it!! The toilet was blocked on the morning when we were leaving, broken tiles in the bathroom and plug hole had so much debri in in when the plug was removed after a bath the debri came to the surface of the bath water.There was no heating , after reporting the lack of heat a male came to check, he said “ if no heat in 30 mins report it again. The heat came on 20 minutes later, for approx 2 hours, not at all in the morning, it was very very cold. All in all a disappointing over night stay. Room 49 needs a lot of TLC .

Came for a local birthday party at a different venue and the staff on reception and on the bar couldn’t have been nicer - even tolerated us for drinks at the bar after our night out. Could not fault the room, hotel or staff at all.

Slightly disappointed that having stayed at the hotel close to ten times, that we were asked upon check-in, if we had been to the hotel before! Must be a cardinal sin in the hospitality industry! Shower temperature was also bordering cold and despite asking two different people, the issue was not addressed. Otherwise stay was very good.

We stayed here for a wedding. Due to this, we arrived much earlier than check-in time, but were able to collect our keys, which was very convenient. Our room was on the top floor, which was up a few stairs - this was fine for us, but there was no lift, so if you are booking here and can't manage stairs, please specify this in your booking and they will find you a ground-floor room. Our room was lovely and clean, and the hotel staff were very friendly and polite. Would definitely stay here again!

Well situated hotel for visiting friends in Alderley Edge. Friendly welcome and friendly approachable staff throughout. Room was very clean but a bit small for the price paid, the bed was a double rather than a king size which is more the norm these days. Bed was rather hard for us and we had a bit of a restless night, sleep wise. Room is probably ready for some refurbishment, for example, more plugs. Overall it was fine but next time I would ask for a bigger room with a bigger bed.

The room, beds, bedding, bathroom, towels,etc were all perfect. Thank you! The staff were friendly. There seemed to possibly be a bit of a delay in the kitchen during dinner however the meal was lovely. We enjoyed the breakfast too.
To improve our experience we would suggest the restaurant needs to be l3ss drafty/heated much better (other guests said the same) and hot plates at breakfast time.
