The staff members were nice, however after sleeping on flat pillows and hard bedding, we woke up to a huge roach in the floor. Had another small one come out from hiding while in the shower. We went to get to advertised breakfast and they had no hot food at all. Everything was kept behind the counter. The orange juice and yogurt was hot and the banana was bruised. Definitely not the 8 out 10 hotel that was advertised. I would not recommend staying here.

Our room smelled like smoke and was musty, they did try to accommodate but the other one was worse. Our toilet was spraying water out of the top, and the bathroom was dirty. They came to fix the toilet but didn’t clean the bathroom. I even sent pictures. Staff was super nice and tried to be as helpful as possible though!!!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel while attending the NCAA Championships. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home throughout our stay.

The hotel did an excellent job accommodating the large number of guests associated with the championships. There were two NCAA rowing teams staying at the hotel during our visit, yet everything remained organized and comfortable. Despite the busy weekend, the environment was calm, friendly, and enjoyable.

We truly appreciated the hospitality and would gladly stay here again for future events. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit such a positive experience.

The room was damp but the beds were comfortable. The floor needed replacing where there had been water damage. The coffee selection was poor. There were only 2 pods, one Eight O’ Clock decaffeinated and one Pumpkin flavored caffeinated. There were no other pods in case we each wanted coffee and not everyone likes flavored coffee. The shower curtain didn’t close completely so water got in the floor. I feel if the floors are not going to be carpeted then there should be options for rugs by the bed. But that’s just me. I was pretty disappointed considering the reviews were pretty good. I don’t think I’ll be staying here again nor recommend to anyone unless these things are not an issue for them.

We stayed at The Guest Lodge as we were watching our daughter row at a regatta at Lake Lanier so the location was perfect. However, it took 6 different key cards to get into our room. The staff were extremely helpful with this matter and had maintenance look at it. The problem still persisted but after several attempts we could access our room. The room itself was clean, though felt a little tired. We used the fridge, however by the morning everything was frozen, even after adjusting the thermostat!
Breakfast was behind the reception desk so we couldn’t help ourself which was fine, but I would say not ideal, but a minor point.
There is a pool to use which looked clean and well maintained though we didn’t use it.
It is an easy 10 minute walk into Gainesville with a selection of restaurants which again, perfect.
In general a convenient place to stay with very helpful and polite staff. It was perfect for our needs and with regards to our room, probably a one off and problems that can easily be fixed!

Very convenient to the hospital complex and great restaurant options within walking distance from the motel. Convenient parking, attractively furnished, clean rooms, and lovely, helpful staff. We had to be at the hospital very early (5:30 am, Yikes!) so we didn't have a chance to have breakfast there either time we stayed there, but the breakfast offerings look good and the dining area was spacious and convenient to the rest of the motel.

My family of four had the pleasure of staying here and I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much at first because it's called a lodge, but this place exceeded my expectations. Everything was clean, cute, and very well maintained. The beds were comfortable, which is important. Water pressure in the shower was excellent- something that definitely matters when you are traveling! The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. They also offer a complimentary breakfast. It wasn't a huge spread but had everything you need to start your day- bagels, waffles, muffins and coffee. Be prepared to wait a few minutes because the breakfast is behind the desk where you are not allowed. The staff member will get you what you want. Overall, it was affordable, and enjoyable. If we ever travel back to Gainesville, we will stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Gainesville.

Very clean and quite sufficient. Good bed. We were given the Ada accessible room which happened to be adjacent to the main road both of which were unfortunate. Also we did not see housekeeping until the day before we left ( 4 day stay) we were not fans of the limited and inaccessible breakfast but it would get you going for the day. One morning they had run out of coffee at 8:30am. For the most part it was a very pleasant place to stay at a very affordable price. Accommodated our VERY late arrival with grace- thank you John.

Very good value to get a nice room with a pool right outside your door while other hotels in the area about 30 to 40% more expensive, if not more good location plenty of parking

I stay at this property a few times each month. While it's not always perfect, it's always perfectly handled. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are each unique in the decor, which I like! If there's ever any problems, they are always resolved quickly and with a smile. I will continue to stay here on a regular basis.

This was the third or fourth stay and the only issue was an emergency water line repair which the staff quickly and clearly communicated when the repair was to be made. It did not impact our stay. Parking is great if you’re brining a bass boat!

Not sure where at the great reviews are coming from. The staff were very friendly. Our room did not look like the pictures, it was very old, dated and smelled. The walls were very thin and we were up all night with a laughing woman and the door opening and closing. The is a fire station close by and the sound of their engines blared day and night. If you want a cheap place you stay and no sleep and a smelly old room this is the place to stay.

We had stayed here 3 times before, this time we brought serval families with us. For the most part the rooms were tidy but definitely NOT clean as they should be. 107 was dirty, 207 was also not clean enough. 209 was the most clean and properly appointed.

We ended up here on a last minute need to go to Gainesville. This was the highest rated hotel with availability. The staff was really nice though the initial room that they gave us had not been cleaned. They tried to tell us that they had \"inspections\" and sometimes the inspector turns the bed down. I then asked if the inspectors eat in the rooms as well since there was food trash, paper plates and plastic forks on the countertops as well. They then moved us to another room that was adequate. Would stay again if I had, pickings are slim in Gainesville but the staff was nice.
