Ugh, what a nightmare! Air conditioning leaked all the time. Staff ignored DND. Bathroom was disgusting and overall cleanliness was dodgy at best. Internet sucked. Old, dilapidated property in desperate need of renovation.

We stayed at the Armon Suites Hotel in MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay for five nights while visiting friends and meeting with different people. The front desk was very friendly/helpful, it was located in a great place with pharmacies, grocery stores, mall, restaurants, coffee shops, park all nearby. We were able to make our breakfast in the room each day as it had a kitchenette. Best stay we've had in Uruguay.

We needed a local place to stay for two nights in Montevideo and the Armon Suites was very near where we had to be. The breakfast was good and they were able to accommodate a gluten free meal request which was a huge plus.

The hotel is a great location. Only 5 short blocks from the ocean. It is surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, all within steps. The suites are very comfortable, clean, have a minibar, microwave, a sink and a counter for snacks and drinks. Bathrooms have a jacuzzi bathtub. You have a flat screen with cable in different languages, free WiFi, free breakfast. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a small heated pool that I used every day for swimming and working out. I enjoyed my stay there immensely. They also help you with pick up and drop off rides to and from the airport.

Front desk staff were professional, welcoming and spoke excellent english. They were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean with a better than average buffet breakfast, the wifi was excellent and the kitchenette was a really nice treat to have. Hotel just what was needed
We were really pleased with our three nights at the Armon Suites in August 2017. The room was spacious and clean, the location excellent and the area reasonably quiet. The bathroom was on the small side but perfectly adequate. It was good we were able to open windows to allow fresh air in. Reception staff were efficient and helpful. The breakfast buffet was everything we could have hoped for - the only complaint was that the egg dishes were always cold. Staff in the dining area were always ready to assist. The waterfront was just 300 metres down the road and a lot of good cafes and other shops on the street.

A very nice hotel not far from the Rambla. The breakfast is excellent, with many choices, and eggs and toast are made to order.

Reasonably priced accommodations in Montevideo
There are numerous boutique style hotels in the Pocitos area. The staff was accommodating and check-in/check-out was seamless. The rooms are enormous, and the tariff is fair. Breakfast was more than ample, fresh and with a friendly atmosphere. Its one of the better choices in the area.

Serve mold in our first room facing the main street. Second room was much better facing back. Staff was helpful and attentive. Food was ok, and service was good. Location was very good. Next to everything you would need or want. The Mall was so easy to get to, within walking distance. Plenty of shops and places to eat. Short walk to the ocean.

The room was Excellent, located on the 5th floor. Very spacious, with a complete kitchenette. All the staff is very friendly with a \"can do attitude\" what makes you feel at home. The Hotel is located in one of the best neighborhoods of Montevideo. You can find around plenty of places where to eat, trendy restaurants, pizza places or just McDonald's. The beach is just three blocks distance.

The staff was extremely helpful in helping us track down our luggage lost by the airline. there are several fast-food type restaurants nearby open late. close to the beach. the room, although a little dated in decor, was large and very clean. the kosher breakfast included with our stay was good.

Great option to stay in Montevideo. Although I arrived early I was kindly offered a room and breakfast. Service is very good. Hotel room is really comfortable. Internet is fast. The pool/work out area is a little abandoned, but still clean and warm. I highly recommend Armon Suites Hotel.

great location. walking distance to punta carretas mall, pocitos beach. catch a bus to anywhere. supermarket 2 blocks away. lots of bars and restaurants. upscale section of town. everybody working there was super from the maids to the waitresses to the front desk. not a lot of english but gave me a chance to practice my spanish and it is uruguay. paid an extra 5 bucks for a superior suite.. 10th floor facing quiet courtyard type area. good AC big flatscreen..32?.. with good cable. jetted tub. small kitchen with fridge and microwave and sink... small pool with sauna and gym.... very safe at night

We stayed for four nights In a superior room. Good size, very clean. The king bed was somewhat flimsy, when one person moved the whole bed moved. However overall the room was fine. Breakfast was average in terms of quality. Breakfast room was crowded and staff not highly organized but this is not a deal breaker. We're on vacation and go with the flow. Loved the neighborhood. Several good nearby restaurants and enjoyed walks to the beach. Would not hesitate to stay here again. While in the area we checked out several other hotels and this was the best value for this quality hotel that we found. Should note it is very easy to get to downtown mvd. The bus runs along the same street as hotel. It costs 20 pesos and takes 15 minutes. Alternatively a cab ride is about 100 pesos.

Fabulous hotel but far from tourist sites
We came in by bus from Colonia to see Montevideo. It was a $5 cab ride from the bus terminal but no where near the Old Quarter. We got here Saturday afternoon and told not to go to the Old Quarter - it was too dangerous after 3 pm. So we went down to the beach - very nice but the only thing to do there or visit the nearby indoor mall. The room itself is fabulous - granite countertops in the bathroom and kitchen area, a very large bathroom - like an American bathroom - the first I found in South America! The room was huge as it is a \"suite\" - included a desk with a great TV. The bed was nice and firm and the room clean and inviting. The front desk staff was great - told us how dangerous the Viejo section is and we changed our plans completely after talking with them. We went to a local restaurant for a Chivito - way better than a hamburger and a local specialty. The buffet breakfast was the best I had in So. America complete with scrambled eggs and fresh squeezed OJ. I would skip Montevideo but if you have to be here this is a great hotel and I'd stay here again. PS We never did make it to the Old City but opted to take the earlier ferry back to Buenos Aires.

Estivemos nesse hotel antes para 3 noites. A estadia foi tranquila. Retornamos para segunda estadia, e recebemos uma quarto maior, porém, o secador de cabelo estava quebrado. Avisei na recepção logo ao chegar. Já estamos no segundo dia e continua quebrado, diserram que não tinha niguem pra ajeitar, mesmo passado o dia todo hoje. Diseeram que seria amanhã... NÃO nos deram outra opção de quarto nem secador. Por estar muito frio, fica impossível lavar o cabelo, então estamos impedidos de lavar. INACREDITÁVEL!

O hotel é bem antigo. Está bem localizado no bairro de Punta Carretas. O quarto em que pese ser espaçoso tem móveis bem antigos, a pia estava saindo um cheiro terrível de esgoto. Em que pese o quarto contar com cooktop, microondas e chaleira não tem qualquer tipo de utensílio doméstico, apenas copos, ou seja, sequer dá para utilizar os eletrodomésticos que lá estão já que não tem onde cozinhar ou prato para colocar a comida. O café da manhã é péssimo, quase não tem opções e itens pareciam velhos, durante toda estadia serviam um queijo tão duro que parecia estar lá a dias. O staff é solícito e atencioso. Em resumo, o hotel não é barato para o que oferece. Tem outras opções bem melhores na mesma rua.

Ótima localização, não está no centro em bairro residencial então é muito tranquilo com boas opções para refeições por perto, hotel confortável, quartos grandes, muito calmo, café da manhã bem razoável para o preço USD 13. Uma atenção especial se estiver de carro é reservar antes pois são só 5 vagas e não tem estacionamento próximo, custa USD 15/dia.

Foi uma boa experiência. Staff atencioso, um quarto espaçoso, limpo, chuveiro bem regulado, uma cama muito confortável. Nós não utilizamos, mas há uma minicozinha no apartamento, com forno de microondas e utensílios, para quem quiser preparar algum alimento. O café da manhã também gostamos, tudo parecia fresquinho. A localização é bem adequada, em Punta Carretas, próximo ao shopping de mesmo nome. Eu me hospedaria novamente nesse hotel ao retornar a Montevidéu.

O hotel é excelente em todos os sentidos. Boa localização, próximo a restaurantes, farmácias, casas de câmbio, e facilidade de transporte. Excelente atendimento por parte de toda a equipe. Quarto amplo, limpo e confortável, roupas de cama e banho de boa qualidade. A cozinha americana é um item a mais de conforto, com micro-ondas e utensílios de cozinha. Ótimo chuveiro, e banheira de hidromassagem que não tivemos tempo de desfrutar. O café da manhã é delicioso e variado. O fato de não haver itens a base de carne em nenhum momento foi ruim. Pelo contrário, nos possibilitou experimentar novos sabores. Com certeza, se retornarmos a Montevidéu, nos hospedaremos no Armon novamente.

O hotel é bem localizado, mesmo que afastado do centro histórico por um percurso de não mais que 20 minutos de carro. O staff é cortês e disponível a ajudar. Durante a hospedagem precisamos mudar de quarto após a 1a noite porque saia mau cheiro do ralo do banheiro. O novo quarto também emitiu cheiro ruim, mas de imediato a manutenção adotou as medidas necessárias para resolver o problema. Não nos incomodou mais. O quarto não possui um estilo contemporâneo, mas as roupas de camas são limpas, quarto limpo, cama confortável. O café da manhã é sortido e gostoso, mas nada que se compare aos cafés da manhã do Brasil, se pago a parte custa 12 dólares. De repente compensa incluir o café na reserva do quarto.
