Not a lot of breakfasts offerings. I stayed for 3 nights very very noisy all night for 2 nights. A family with 3 kids mom and dad. I think they could have put them in a room with no neighbors. Common sense.

As soon as you walk in you're hit with an overwhelming bad smell. It was this way every time we walked into the hotel or hallways. It's just the smell of the place, but they should really work to remove it. The rooms and bathrooms are not cleaned well at all. The pool is very small. Staff was kind though.

my room was really clean, absolutely nothing wrong with it, the staff was friendly. the air conditioning was awesome, made the room ice cold just how we like it. the breakfast was really good and made with love. the only \"problem\" i necessarily had with our stay was the pool, people were peeing in it and putting trash into it, i still swam in it with caution but it was still pretty gross.

The property is old and held together with I don’t know what.
The beds are old the mattress are spring mattresses, it wasn’t the worst experience. The staff were of a different nationality and most didn’t speak nor acknowledge you except the front desk. The same woman just stood in the hall and stared at me two days in a row. It’s like they don’t trust anyone. You can’t have breakfast from the breakfast room in bed, but you can order in. The coffee machine in the breakfast room has the worst coffee I’ve ever had or the product being dispensed is very old! The biscuits and gravy, are in crockpots, the gravy is so hot you could burn your tongue on first bite, the biscuits are very old dry and crumbly, you cannot cut them with the sad little plastic fork they give. The health department safety certification for the pool is set to expire at the end of the month. I don’t recall seeing one for food service or food safety requirements. I am a former certified food safety manager. The front desk was super accommodating, extra blankets, towels, politeness in explaining the rules. The entire complex needs a facelift and refresh. I am glad it wasn’t over $60 a night. Clean it up or sell it off.

The room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, the window frame is crumbling, the carpet was wet, the sheets had stains on it, it smelled so bad in the number. I had to buy cleaning supplies to clean the room myself.
My son asthma started activating and all in all I had to leave the hotel, because he needed a treatment.

We stayed here as a \"stay-cation\" for our son to swim. Pool area needs work...and the light bulb with exposed cord NEEDS REPLACED, but it was great to be able to swim. Rooms need work, but great value for the price. Great breakfast and comfy beds. Didn't appreciate not being able to take breakfast back to the room...but overall good value for the money.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was VERY comfortable. The location is great, and they are dog friendly.

But the room itself was very tired. The toilet wasn't seated well and the tank cycled repeatedly. The bathroom needed painting. You have to ask the front desk for a hair dryer. And you're not supposed to take any breakfast food, including coffee, back to your room!

The air unit ran all night. I could not get it to shut off. Either low or high. When I first entered the hotel, there was a strange order, I couldn't put my finger on what it actually was. I smelled it through out the hotel, though not in my room. My room was decent, other than the air unit. They did have some hot items for breakfast. I did not take any of the cold items. I rate breakfast as below par.

The staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was clean. But the bathroom fan sounded like it was about to fall out of the ceiling. The AC fan was so noisy we turned it off so we could sleep. Fortunately the room was insulated enough we didn't need it.

The ceiling was falling down above the bed. The shower curtain was not big enough and the shower rod was broke, which caused the curtain to slide down. The hall way and the stairs were not vacuumed the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was the same every day, the bread was stale and the hard boiled eggs were rotten and not refrigerated.

Our bathroom/toilet wasn't working on our first day and continued to frequently stop flushing. Room keys randomly stopped working so we had to have 6 replacements. The filter on the AC/heat made the room smell horribly. Staff was always very short or didn't say a word when approaching the front counter so we didn't always feel comfortable asking for help or anything else

At check in the clerk tried talking me into a hot tub room for an additional $30. No. Received my room key, did not take one step in the room and was overwhelmed with cigarette smoke smell. No questions asked when I asked for a different room. Received the hot tub room. The room was clean. 2 of the 3 lamps did not work, the hot tub pump was running - I turned it off & had parts laying on the edge of the tub. I'll admit I did not listen to the hours of breakfast, normally weekday breakfast goes till 9:00. I went down at 7:50 am to find biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, & a yogurt. There was no protein and he was cleaning the breakfast area up at 8:00 am. I got a 2nd cup of coffee, checked out & head back to my room. Wasn't in my room 10 minutes there was a knock on my door from housekeeping. It was clean & inexpensive, but I won't stay here again.

Good location, nice check in person, comfortable clean breakfast, room was in need of a renovation; specifically there are bubbles in corner of the ceiling, peeling and slightly broken bits around, and housekeeping doesn't leave all the things you need you have to ask for them, and tile floor at entrance was sticky. I didn't walk barefoot. Left only one washcloth and all towels were slightly damp. Bed reasonably comfortable but its run down and needs a reno. Extended my stay and second desk guy would not at first honor the price I had been quoted and tried to get more money out of me, which I rectified, but I didn’t appreciate.

This was my first time staying at a Baymont, as I normally stay at a Marriott at a higher price point.

Pros: It is in a good location where it is close to restaurants and a mall. The price was great for a one night stay, especially since it included breakfast. Family owned so check in felt more friendly. Although the hotel is in need of updating, the updates that have been made were good; new sink and mirror in bathroom, comfy bed, sheets and duvet and blackout curtain. We appreciated the bathroom night light. I was late to breakfast, but the cereal was still out and a worker brought me some milk so I could still have some of the included breakfast. A slightly later check out was also no problem to add at no cost and we enjoyed no parking fees, which a lot of hotels are implementing. It’s a family affair and they clearly work hard at running this hotel.

Cons: Immediately as you enter the hotel I was hit with a strong smell of mothballs. Walking down the corridor I could smell pot coming from a room and inside our own room was another very strong and distracting odor. This is unfortunate as it lets the hotel down and negates an otherwise cost-effective and pleasant stay.

My recommendations for improvements:

* Install HEPA Filters or improve ventilation to reduce the odors.
* Refresh paint in the bedrooms.
* Perhaps bleach or replace bed linens.
* Consider replacing the worn carpeting on the staircase with wood or wood laminate.

For the price, it was an okay stay. Check-in was friendly and quick enough, the room was mostly clean. There was a long hair on the bed that didn’t belong to either me or my husband. The bathroom was off putting and needed a lot of updates - paint peeling, tub cracks/peels, stains, floor cracks. Breakfast was underwhelming and the hot foods were served lukewarm at best. The overall experience wasn’t bad enough for me to bring up to management while there, but I wouldn’t stay again. For the value, it was just okay.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel was a hazard to be in. Will definitely be ill after staying here due to the mold and bug infestation. It stunk of mold and animal urine in every room. The rooms were filthy and there were bugs/roaches in the room. Nobody should stay here.

Computer systems were down when it was time to check in and staff did not inform anyone in like just stood there looking at people.

Have stayed here multiple times, it's a good place to just sleep if you are working nearby. Near the mall if that is important and close to some dining. No elevator in hotel, problem for some people with large luggage. Breakfast offerings have improved but having exactly the same each day became tiring after a week.

I was surprised to have dirty feet after walking across the floor after taking a shower. I was concerned about being charged upon my arrival by one hotel staff member after I had already paid in full on hotels.com. Another hotel clerk did reimburse me when I brought it to his attention when I checked out. Another issue that we had was that the phone in our room was not working when I called to the front desk.

I did not like that there was bed bugs there that beat me and that they did not put me in a handicap room had me go all the way on the second floor with a disability hard to get up and down the steps because they did not have a elevator and they were rude to me limited food for breakfast and was not very friendly or tried to resolve the issue.

Ok for an overnight...

Just an overnight stop so it was about convenience. Not sure why they charge an extra $50 security fee that is supposed to be refunded but it's a week later and still hasn't been. Will keep checking. Area is ok with Applebees across the street so that was good as we had large moving truck and trailer and didn't want to drive. Like I said - great for an overnight off the highway if that's what you are looking for, esp for the price but watch the extra $50.

I’ve stayed a few times in the past 18 years and have always had a positive experience, so I didn’t hesitate to book again. Granted it’s been seven years since my last visit, but I think that was the last time it has been updated. I will say that the hotel and room itself appeared to be clean, but that’s all that appealed to me. Everything was the bare minimum, and nothing whatsoever went beyond that. The staff was okay, not rude, but definitely not friendly. Next time I’m in the area I will stay elsewhere.
