Fairfield Inn did not have our reservation when we arrived. Furthermore, they said they do not accept third-party reservations, and had a sign in front on the desk that said that. Fortunately, the hotels.com people arrange for another hotel, the Bayport, in Mishawaka, that was very good, and the people were very accommodating there. You need to take this Fairfield in off your list

Brutal. Rude manager Leslie not willing to even attempt to accommodate guests in any way. No house keeping for 4 days after a number of requests. “Breakfast” was a joke even non existent…biscuits and bacon one morning. Eggs when they tried were discusting. Don’t bother going here. Overpriced one star hotel. I can’t believe this is a Marriott property. So poorly ran by rude staff.

The property itself was good, but we were told because we booked through a third-party site they required a $100 deposit. We paid it and usually when staying in hotels I see the deposit returned within a couple days. It took three weeks, three calls to the hotel and two calls to Marriot corporate to get it refunded. The staff at the hotel kept telling me she was going to do it and call me back, she never called back. One day after I spoke with Marriot Customer Service it was refunded in my bank account. I feel like they hope people will just forget about it and they keep the money.

Not a hotel that lives up to the Marriott name

So many challenges with the hotel. The management tried to remedy each problem so I tried to look past the issue. However, a day after we returned home my wife and I experienced bed bug bites!!!!!!! Holy smokes! Have been itching for days. Went make and took a deeper look at the reviews and learned that many other guests also mentioned getting bed bugs after their stay. With that, we won’t need to stay here again; so many other experiences are simply NOT the Marriott way, but hard stop at bed bugs. This hotel needs an ENTIRE overhaul and remodel if ever to succeed. Do NOT be lured by the convenience, great rate or the fact that this is a Marriott property—-if you book here you will be disappointed on so many levels.

The linens & such were clean. The breakfast area was well kept, though we ended up eating out after looking over the 'buffet'.

The hotel itself needs a lot of work. Peeling wallpaper everywhere! The elevator is quite dirty. Mold in our room's bathroom on the wall & ceiling. Toilet seat was wobbly. The sidewalk entry into the building, as well as the exterior are cracked & crumbling. After seeing all that we were not even going to try the pool.

Overall, it was an ok stay for the price. But, I wouldn't likely stay here again.

I was not able to stay because the hotel said my reservation was canceled by you (Hotels/Expedia) Your rep said it was not and then you claim trying to get a refund but I did not get anything back.
I don’t think I can use your website or recommend it since this experience was very difficult and disappointing.

kind staff, no issues with checking in/ checking out.
however, the batteries in the TV remote were dead so I tried calling 3-4 times about getting them replaced & was told that the employee can't leave the desk to bring them to me, no biggie I went & got them.
when I went to take a shower there was no shampoo or body wash in the shower, of course I discovered this when I was already in the process of my shower & if the employee can't leave the desk... that was a much bigger inconvenience.
there was a very large mustard stain on the comforter, the toilet seat was not properly tightened so it moved every time you sat down & the once flushed the toilet- you could hear the water run very loudly, all night long.

All of the staff at this location were so nice. They always greeted us when we left and arrived. The property was in a good location and was clean and comfortable. I did have an issue during my stay. Every day we had to have our key reprogrammed because it didn’t work. On the second night I got a knock on my door and it was the lady that checked me in. She said that she was just checking the room because it said VACANT on their list. I thought it was handled. Then on the day we were checking out I was in the shower and my husband was changing. Thankfully, I had the latch on the door because a staff member just used the key to open it, because it was listed as VACANT. OK, whatever no big deal, we are leaving anyway. Then, 20 minutes later, someone from the housekeeping staff tried to open the door AGAIN! Nobody tried to knock first, just tried to come right in. I went down and asked and they said it was because we were meant to be in room 214 and not 314. It is an honest mistake, but after 4 nights I feel like it could have been resolved. So that was unfortunate, but other than that, it was a great stay.

The man who checked us in was great and super friendly and helpful. Room was clean, a little dated but most places are after having hundreds of guests stay there. Breakfast was your typical free hotel breakfast. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable one I’ve had and the air conditioning wasn’t great in our room, but it worked well enough that we didn’t feel the need to request maintenance. Overall it was a good stay and good value for what we paid.

The worst hotel I have ever been to. I will never go back. Terrible. It doesn't have a laundry room like it says. I had to wait more than 15 minutes for breakfast because the egg was gone and they didn't put it back... and in the coffee maker in the room there were animal nests. Also, the service when you arrive from the woman in front of the hotel is terrible. I will never go back, don't rent it.

Never judge a book by its cover, the outside was kind of old and scary, the lobby was updated and newer and so weren't the rooms but the hallways and pool area were very dingy, and what turned us to this property was the jacuzzi because we are driving from New Hampshire to Colorado was out of service. Not happy at all.

We arrived and there were no towels in the room then we open up the sofa bed no linens we also had to ask for pillows and pillow cases. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced imo. It would really not be suited to adults sleeping in it. I expected better when paying for an executive suite.

The check in employee on 2/20/24 was very kind, attentive and very helpful! The continental breakfast lady was RUDE! She sat at a table in front of the TV ignoring me when I asked what was in the silver skillet that was closed, I didn’t know if I could open it or she was in the process of cooking something. When she did finally give me the time of day she made a hand motion that I was bothering her. A few minutes later I asked if one of the coffee carafes were decaf, she said she’d make some decaf if I wanted it, twenty minutes later still no decaf made while she sat watching TV. She then finally made it I waited smitten minutes and never told me it was ready, my husband said he thinks she brought it out, the large coffee thermos wasn’t put together, I couldn’t draw the coffee out, at this time she was sitting in a different chair with her back to the counters, the desk clerk was facing the counter, I said to her something is wrong with the thermos, she ignored me and said to her coworker, the desk clerk, something about me needing help with the coffee, he hit up to help me. By this time I had to go back to my room and was walking out with a yogurt, she told the desk clerk I was taking food out of the area, he told me to put it back, that I couldn’t take food out of the area, then she said under her breath, there’s sign’s everywhere….very rude!!!!! Not sure why I couldn’t take a yogurt out when they sell chips and pop and found remnants of that all over the hotel floors.

I booked a same-day reservation for my cross-country drive, and although the website for this hotel says 24 hours, there was nobody at the front desk to greet me upon arrival, and the after-hours number listed on the front door went straight to voicemail when dialed. I waited 30 minutes in front of the property, as the entrance door was locked due to it being after hours, but nobody showed up. I attempted to call every number listed for the hotel during that time, but the hotel line rang and rang, and the after-hours number went straight to voicemail every single time. I was unable to even get inside the lobby to wait for an employee to show up, and it was getting later and later into the night, so I was forced to give up and go to a different hotel nearby. I did receive a call back from the after-hours number an hour later, but I was already asleep at a different hotel by that time.

When you book for 3 nights, there should be 3 washcloths and 3 coffee packets. There were 2 and I had to find someone to get more, and the desk seemed to only be staffed until late afternoon. They were nice enough when they looked up from their phones.
Ants in the room, trash in the parking lot, un-trimmed tree branches scraped my car, toilet had gross stain inside the bowl.
It was quiet enough, decent mattress, good fridge.
Will not stay here again.

The room was clean and spacious, but unfortunately we didnt sleep well. Our refrigerator and AC unit were not functioning. When we arrived the AC was set to 60, but the room was very warm and humid, and stayed that way our whole stay. The hotel was fully booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. Our blackout curtains only covered half of the window, so all of the light from the parking lot came through, making our room very bright all night. Those issues combined with a lack of noise barrier made for a sleepless night. We could hear everything above and beside us.

The staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean, but it wasn't the best night's sleep. We will not stay here again.

We booked our stay through expedia. The front desk clerk charged my credit card TWICE!! It led to an overdraft fee from my bank! I called the 800 number and they apologized and said that I would get the money back, however that does not recoop the over draft charge from my bank!! This is very upsetting.

Ok, I was disappointed. It did not meet my expectations. I’m picky I like things super clean! We stayed 4 nites total! No, none, zero housekeeping! They informed us during check in that they’re wouldn’t be any cleaning…. If u needed towels just stop by the front desk…. Well, we managed ok but I do think the motels/hotels are using the “Covid” crap as a excuse for no housekeeping. The breakfast was good 😋 The pool 🏊‍♀️ was closed. Scheduled to open the next day but, never did at all. The bathrooms were smelly (like pee) they were dated with wallpaper peeling…. (Who puts wallpaper in the bathrooms anyway!) We we’re down to one roll of toilet paper when we left ( again no housekeeping) Huge stain on the curtains when u closed them at nite. No toothpaste, no makeup remover packets….. it was just average of below. We booked with Expedia and the reviews were all so good with a 4 1/2 star ⭐️ But if u go to the website it’s a 2 star hotel! I like at least a 3 star ⭐️ or above! I guess u get what u pay for. But it was misleading! We won’t stay again at this place, would NOT recommend to anyone unless you’re ok with mediocre. That’s my 2 cents! I do plan to let Expedia know of their deceit.

Problems with the elevator. Got on the elevator and once we got close to our floor to elevator started shaking violently. I thought we were about to plummet back to the first floor. It was so bad we decided to immediately go back to the desk but this time we went do the stairwell.

Despite signs indicating that masks are required in common areas, none of the staff wore masks. That included the two employees doing morning food prep, one of whom had a bad smokers cough and was not covering their cough. They also kept their small-breed dog in the lobby.

The room had only one small hand soap and no soap/gel/shampoo for the shower. The tub was dirty.

I realize this is a lesser brand hotel for Marriott, but it underperformed low expectations.

Check in was fast and easy. Breakfast was hot and ready to go. Rooms were ok need some update. Bad experience…hotel property ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex. No towels on a Saturday morning they gave us hand towels to shower with at 1115am!! Hotel staff ran over to their sister property next door to bring us some toilet paper mind you it was a used roll. No manager or supervisor on staff over the weekend. Target was right down the street you would think they would have ran to get rolls of toilet paper for the hotel. The staff had very very casual clothes on besides one gentleman who it was this 3rd day on the job he was dressed to work the front desk but was also in shock over what what going on. Couldn’t use the pool it was drained and it was under construction (heard for several months now). Also tried to do a load of my sons uniform for his next day of games but someone who has been living there for over a year had the 1 machine taken up. Told me to come back in about 40 minutes which would have been after 10pm to start my load, and she would pick up after me…So didn’t do that either.
If I would have paid $60 a night for a room at a 2 star property ok you get what you pay for but we paid over $300 for 2 nights and this is what we get. I know everyone is struggling to get things back to normal and have limited staff help but come on. This is a hotel where you have people staying who need amenities. I would not book this hotel again.
