I booked this for my parents from CT, and I had always thought it was high quality(but I had never stayed there) so my thought was this is the best option for them. The blue paint they used in the pool came off and left blue stains on everyones feet (and my kids knees). The 4ft deep sign literally was a sticker peeling off and ended up just floating in the pool! The hotel room had an electric outlet hanging out of the wall, a pedestal sink with nowhere for mom to put her makeup bag, and AC problems etc. Many other issues. Just a major disappointment for 540$. very sad.

Nice curb appeal, entry way was clean, pool was nicely maintained. Room was large, not much furniture but very clean and quiet. Staff were all personable. Breakfast was typical for these hotels, for me not very appealing as I do not eat scrambled eggs and bacon was very greasy. I am not staying at these hotels for the breakfast so it was adequate for a start to the day with a stop for lunch afterwards.

This was my third time staying here and I will be back every time we are down at Liberty University. Our room was very clean. The decor was so cute, very boutique feeling. The pool was clean and warm. The breakfast was hot and fresh. I’m looking forward to my next stay!

On second day through final not room housekeeping service. Told that they we short of staff and that normally there after the third day of your stay you receive housekeeping service. Told to put towels in the hallway outside the room and come to the desk for new towel and wash cloth
Told nothing about trash removal for the room
They were polite just not informed about no housekeeping until the second day of my check in
Had I known that I would not have stayed there. I did not pay for Full service in order No to receive full service

One of the best family hotels around. I brought my children of ages 3mo, 16, 13, and 11 to this hotel and it did not disappoint. The restaurant that is attached, Tori Blue was very nice. The indoor pool gave the children something to do while I was able to get some focused gym time as well. The aesthetic of the hotel is absolutely stunning. This is a very peaceful hotel with exceptionally kind and accommodating staff members. Rooms were spacious and clean. No issues at all over Easter weekend. Enjoyed it. 10/10

We gave Bella Vista Hotel & Suites a 4 out of 5 and had a good overall stay. The transformation from the old Kirkley Hotel is beautiful, the breakfast options were solid, the room had a comfortable amount of space, and the elevator was impressively fast, which we appreciated. Pool area was nice for the space, though we didn't use it, nor did we use the gym or connected restaurant, which we were told was nice and delicious.

A few areas could be improved: the bathroom had no counter space, though we understand it was an accessible room and we booked it because the standard king rooms were unavailable; a closet or larger clothing rack would have been helpful; having outlet hubs on both sides of the bed would have been more convenient; and while the WiFi was very easy to connect to, it did go in and out during our stay.

The personnel were very good and the hotel was clean. The only issue is the noise. Every sound made in the hallway and other rooms echoed into our room. There is no floor covering (i.e. carpet) so there is nothing to absorb the sounds. The large gap under the door did not help.

AC wasn’t bad it just wasn’t able to be programmed to stay consistent and so the room constantly warmed and then cooled which is uncomfortable to sleep on. Cleanliness, staff and parking were all just fine. For the second time now we were awakened in the middle of the night to a very strong smell of pot being smoked. This will prevent us from staying there in the future.

The lobby was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. The staff were professional and welcoming. Room 221 was just the opposite, it reminded me of a hospital room the walls were bare and the only thing I could see was the cracks in the molding; the furniture didn’t match the size of the room, there is king size bed and the bedside table were so small the lamps barely fit on them. The bathroom is so small, only one person can go into it at a time. Plus the only mirror was over the bathroom sink. It was a misfit and wasted space. Linda was great!

I loved staying at the Bella Vista. Loved the decor, the size and cleanliness of the rooms, and most of all the staff. I made a mistake by booking a day off the date I actually needed and the lady at the front desk was so accommodating and understanding. Luckily she was able to find me a room. Other staff I encountered were very friendly-smiling, greeting me, and wishing me a safe trip home.
Comfortable beds, everything was clean, and Christmas decor in the lobby and outside the hotel was beautifully and tastefully done. I did not choose to have the breakfast but will have to try it sometime based on the rest of my experience.

Overall…nice stay. Parking was easy and staff were welcoming. Although we were the last people in the restaurant, the staff were courteous without rushing us at all. The room felt stark…although it’s a room for 4, the pull-out bed was very uncomfortable, we needed to ask for extra blankets and there were only 2 bath towels. Whatever metal skirt surrounds the king bed lets out a very loud bang sound if touched with your shoe!? Rooms were clean and, again, the staff was very nice.

Only word I can think of to describe my experience is “façade”. The outside of the hotel looks great. The pictures of the lobby looks excellent. The actual rooms, however very disappointing. Low quality everything. The furniture was completely mismatched, the bad pillows made a crunchy plastic noise. It looked like everything was from a yard sale a random things they picked up on the side of the road.

The breakfast room was another mismatch of furniture, oddly placed tables over a fountain from decades, gone by.

Scrapes and scratches were all over the walls of the hotel. Definitely took their pictures a couple years ago.

It was so elegant for a economic hotel option. The desk staff told me that it was family owned and one of one. There are no others very well kept. Although I did have to come out to the desk during breakfast because there was no milk for the cereal. The kitchen staff member was actually out at the front desk talking to the desk clerk and immediately apologized saying,\" my bad! That's on me sir. I'll go get the milk right away!\" He apologized at least four times and I told him once was enough!

Our check in experience was great, everything else not so great. The AC was extremely loud and rattled all night, the room was okay at first glance but the craftsmanship of the remodel was really poorly done and made the room look dirty. The parking is minimal so don’t plan on a late night or your parking on the street.

Staff very friendly, polite, accomodating. Very clean premises and nicely equipped gym. Decorated in a European style flair, very pleasing. Accessible room was very large and comfortable, however, there was no iron,and only a standalone rack to hang chlothing items (should definitely consider a wardrobe to fill large amount of empty space)! The bathroom had NO counterspace AT ALL with only a standalone sink...had to store toiletries on table in room and on top of dresser. One of the bedside table lamps had rust spots all along the shade that was supported by metal spines, probably due to the low flow ventilation system that leaves dampness in the entire room after a hot shower. The bed was supoorted by a metal platform that reverberated with a loud, hollow echo each it was unavoidably kicked as the bed is approached. I was impressed with the staff's responsiveness to requests for extra towels and pillows. The bedding and towels were very comfortable, along with almost instant hot water for showers. There were limited channels on television (couldn't watch the second NBA playoff game due to no TNT channel).
These comments are made hopes that changes will be instituted to make the stay at The Bella Vista a 5 Star experience, which I think it could be...I'm willing to come back for another stay, however my wife has written this hotel off her list.
Bella Vista please make changes/upgrades to your property as soon as possible, I would like to come back soon.

First off the staff was so nice. Very helpful and accommodating. They let us check in early. Help with transportation questions ect. The hotel is beautiful. There is a restaurant attached but we only had dessert. The Belgium chocolate mousse was excellent. The bathroom was not clean. I cleaned it myself. And the last night the toilet backed up.That was the only negatives. If the bathroom was clean i would have given a higher rating.

This hotel was nicely updated at some point in the past, and has had no maintenance since then. Crumbling siding outside, scuffed walls, old grout. Housekeeping falls a bit short as well. The beds were clean and comfortable, though they didn’t have enough pillows, and there was a lot of dust in the bathroom and bedroom. The place was quiet and secure, and comfortable once the lights were turned off. I did love the big bath towels in the bathroom.

This property was absolutely amazing! I do not have 1 complaint. All of the staff were amazingly friendly and very helpful. We needed help with my husband's tie for a church conference, and one of the front desk staff assisted us with getting help. A gentleman from the kitchen helped us without complaint. Anytime I am in this area, this will definitely be where my family and I will go. The rooms were nice and clean, and late in the evening another staff member offered to come up to our room and help with our TV. I can't say enough good things about this stay. Thank you to each and every one of you at Bella Vista.

I booked this hotel for a business trip. When you walk in, the area is gorgeous and very \"boutique\" style. Going in my room, I was a little shocked. It was very large and open, no carpet or rugs, and no mirror! I am not a prisspot by any means, but I do like to get myself together for a business meeting, in front of a mirror where I can sit my stuff to be easily accessible. I went to the bathroom, and there is the mirror, on the wall beside the toilet, the sink is outside of the toilet area with just a large opening above it like a windowless window. There is a cosy looking chair in the room with a foot stool but it was dark blue and covered in fuzz and who knows what. The floors were swept but im not sure they were mopped. Luckily I was only there for one night so I made it work because I was too tired to make a fuss. If they put more effort into the rooms, like they have the main lobby, it would make it feel nicer! One last thing, theres no phone in the room. I have a cellphone but, a room phone seems customary and especially in case of emergency. I am not usually a reviewer of things but this was a bit wild. I was grateful to have a place to lay my head, and I am fortunate to have that luxury. I believe the advertisement for this place is false!

I made a 2-night reservation. I had a family emergency and called the motel around noon the day before my departure to ask if I could change it to a 1-night stay for the original second night. The lady I spoke with was very nice and said “no problem” and changed it for me. When I arrived the second night, they told me I was a no-show and there was no room available. I had to frantically call several motels to find a new room for our family. They also would not issue a refund. I could see no refund if I just did not arrive, but I did call and someone had told me they changed my reservation. I have never had this happen before and I will never try to stay here again.
