When I arrived to check-in, there was no one at the desk. I tried calling all the numbers posted but the phone did not work. I called the main office number and they suggested I call the main desk. I told her that wouldn't help because no one was there to answer. There was also a buzzer there but no one acknowledged my multiple tries. After 20 minutes of waiting, a young lady came out from the back and after I told her I had been waiting, she got all nasty and argumentative with me. The kitchen sink had green beans in the strainer from the prior stay. There was someone above me pacing back and forth on her heels all night long keeping me awake. After I got to my room, four police cars pulled in and took a man out of the building in handcuffs. I won't stay there again.

I would not recommend staying at this facility. Bad oder when I first entered the room. Additionally, upon getting ready for bed, there was a dead insect on the sheets. Informed the front desk clerk of the situation and she had no response. Customer service was beneath the expectations of common courtesy. There were no other occomodations offered by the staff. They are not deserving to be ranked on a scale. A total waste of money for a trash hotel.

I have never stayed anywhere that offered so little. No hairdryer, no coffee pot, no hand towels, no ice, and no maid service the entire week we were there. If you want towels, you have to take your dirty ones to the front desk and swap them out. Came back one afternoon and I had to take the stairs to my 4th floor room because the elevator was out. If you are looking for just a place to sleep then here it is. If you want anything else stay elsewhere.

The toilet flushing handle was broken, the tub was cracked, and the refrigerator handle was broken. The bed sheets looked clean and it was a spacious room with a full size refrigerator, sink, and area to cook food.

There was mold in the bathroom where the shower extends out. The people above us sound like they were moving furniture all night long, people kept slamming doors and talking loudly well after midnight then again at 7 am, the bed squeaked every time you moved so every time I turned over I had to hear this which kept waking my baby up

I can say that the room was clean but that is the only good thing I can say about it. It was Spartan to say the least. A window shade but no curtains. No decorations on the wall. It looked like a college dorm room the week after everyone has gone home for the summer. Staff was cranky and didn't even know that there was a restaurant at the hotel next door. This wasn't a suite but there was a full-sized refrigerator in the room - not sure anyone needs a fridge big enough to store a Thanksgiving dinner. No hangars in the room at all and only a single pillow on one of the queen-sized beds. Had to go to the front desk to get a second pillow. No bed skirt on the beds and the coverlet wasn't thick enough to provide warmth. Toilet seat looked like someone had scratched it with a rasp. All in all - suggest you pick someplace else unless stark is your vibe.

The room was so basic. You could see the metal bedframe. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. We called and asked for a new room and they were matter of fact and said we don’t have another room. I really like staying at this hotel, especially being provided with a stove is great! However, I hated the fact one of the guest had a Pitbull dog. Every time I was getting on or off the elevator, the guest would allow her dog to come up close to me. The guest was older in age, so the dog was pulling her! I told the guest she should control her dog since some people are afraid of dogs. However, every time I see this guest with her dog, I was terrified! Pitbull dogs are no joke and I don’t play around with them nor any dog. Once I asked her to get her dog, the only thing she would say, he doesn’t bite😳 unbelievable! Additionally, once the A.M. arrived, all I can hear was slamming of doors coming from the other guests! There was a lot of construction workers on my floor, and for the four days of my stay, I continuously heard the workers or other guests slam their room doors to exit! Hopefully, no one has to experience these ordeals on their stay.

Staff asked me to scan my card. Then they “had an issue” and asked me to scan it again. I said “I hope you aren’t going to double charge me”. Noticed there were two charges and figured one was a deposit. Bope, they double charged me.
Called them on a Tuesday and the assistant manager could see the double charge but couldn’t remove. Said the manager would be there in two hours. Asked for an email, call or text when they refund me.
Three days later still no response. I called the hotel two days later bc no response and couldn’t get anyone to answer. Called 17 times that day.

The hotel was dirty. We checked in and went to our room. It was a non-smoking room however the hall smelled like smoke. Once in the room there was an overwhelming smell of urine. We checked out 10 minutes later and the hotel refuses to refund our stay, and the manager is never available to speak. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to lose money and want a hassle.

The front desk staff was terrible upon arrival for checkin at a little after 3pm. We were charged $40 more than the Expedia rate, even after providing confirmed email as proof of rate. Was assigned a dirty, unclean bed and room. After returning to the front desk, and being ignored by front desk staff for 15 minutes, we were told we would have to wait for this room, not offered another room, to be cleaned, its now after 4pm, and after a 7 hour drive. Again, we were not offered another room and was refused a refund. Horrific experience. I would rate a no star but a no star is not an option. After a 7 hour drive, we were forced to seek lodging somewhere else. Terrible experience. No one should book lodging at this location unless there is a change of staff and leadership.

The rate was $130/nite which explains why there were no hand towels, hair conditioner or box of facial tissues. The rooms were equipped with a kitchenette but there were no cooking pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups or flatware. One could buy a complete set of cookwear & diningware for 4 for $20 each from the reception desk. As budget minded as Woodsprings is, I’m surprised that no ice machine existed anywhere in the hotel. However, the room was clean & bug free.
My family (husband, adult son & I) experienced a strange incident that we’ve never experienced in all our 37yrs of staying at hotels as a couple. Barely 5min after walking in our room @ 9:54pm (11pm is quiet time), the front desk called my cell fone to inform us that she received a noise complaint from the room directly below us, of pounding on the hardwood floor. None of us weigh more than 180lbs. I explained that we were not pounding on the floors & we barely walked around. She threatened to "put us out" if they received another complaint. I asked to be moved to a different room to mitigate whatever issues the guests below us were experiencing but the hotel was fully booked. After my phone conversation ended, I went downstairs to reiterate we were not pounding on the hardwood floors & none of us are heavy enough to have heavy footsteps. The woman at the front desk began to lessen her stance by explaining that technically, we can play loud music until 11. She should've explained that to the guests below. Guests beware

Extended stay had nothing in the room no plates flatware nothing. No ice anywhere. Nothing. Not a glass or spoon. I've never stayed in an extended stay that was completely devoid of anything. No paper towels no tissues nothing. Every drawer was empty. It had a nice fridge amd a microwave oven. 2 burners on a smooth stove but not 1 pot or pan or utensil of any kind. I've traveled in my career for 40 years and never stayed anywhere like this. There was a bar of soap.

Staff was not friendly and the room was not clean. The floor was filthy. Rooms were not ready at 3pm and we were told to come back. Then they gave us a room and when we went up it hadn’t been cleaned yet. The maid said it would take her 10 minutes and I told her to take her time but clearly she cleaned it in ten minutes. This is decent, but Spartan accommodations near Liberty University.

The room (not really a suite, as there is no divider between the bedroom and the 'kitchen') is reasonably large. The decor is spare, with grey wood-grain tile on the floor (no carpet) and minimal creature comforts.

For example, the room has two washcloths, and two very small towels, but no hand towel. The 'toiletries' are one small shampoo and one small bar of soap. No conditioner or hand lotion are provided.

The kitchen has a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and two burner smooth cook top (could be induction or electric). Cookware, silverware, cups, and plates are available in the lobby for an extra charge (like $50). None are in the room.

The WiFi situation is similar. The basic connection that comes with the room is limited to two devices and is slow, but sufficient for web browsing. More is available, for an extra charge.

Our room came complete with two extra residents in the form of 'stink bugs'. One was dead, one alive when we arrived. The live one decided to land on my wife, causing it to quickly join its companion.

The faucet on the bathroom sink was loose, and the cheap tub/shower unit floor was loose underfoot. These things either were not designed for hotel usage, or were installed poorly.

The good things are that it appeared clean (other than the bugs), everything was functional, and it was roughly half the cost of a 'name brand' room.

Sounded like furniture being moved and scraping across the floor in the evening. Started up again about 1130 and woke us up. I called the front desk and they explained there was someone handicapped in the room above us that used chairs to push around like a walker. They offered to move us but we were already in bed and all our stuff was already unpacked. They should not put somebody in the room below if the person upstairs is known to make loud noise so late at night.

The entire experience with the staff was outrageous. The room was booked for a two queen and it was not available and the staff was extremely rude. When I had to call the hotel to discuss how they had treated my son at check in they spoke over me and told me they didn’t need to help me and they hung up on me. Then it took me 15 minutes of calling the hotel to get anyone to pick up and they continued to be rude and condescending. They told me false accusations of their interactions with my son which I found shocking. I was able to chat with an Expedia agent who was most helpful as always. This staff had no interest in helping us at all. They spoke badly of Expedia and made false statements about them I know not to be true from the many years of excellent customer service I have had with Expedia

The property is well lit and closely monitored via cameras from the front desk, we noticed that upon checking in. Loved that the lobby was separated by a secured door to where the actual rooms were. Room was clean and beds were super comfortable, we slept great!

Room came with 5 hangers for clothes, bath towels and a bar of soap and lotion so be prepared to bring you necessities (which we always do). Towels aren’t great but that’s expected at hotels.

If you plan on cooking brings plates, utensils etc. There was a full size fridge which was nice although we didn’t use any of that when there.

We would absolutely return!

The elevation was closed for the entire weekend. I came solo and th location is great to the city. We had people that had a physical disability that was on the 4th floor along with me. The mattress was horrible. The door had a cracked by the seal ehere you could look outside from the side. I placed my coat over the door for privacy. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the occupants were quite noisy. The corridor had an unpleasant odor of body odor. I checked out after only one night (which was two days early) and was not given a refund. I had expected a newer place that would feel safer and more comfortable. Additionally, they had a mini kitchen, but it lacked basic silverware. They only provided one small bar of handwashing soap and a tiny amount of shampoo. Overall, I was quite disappointed with my experience.

Upon arrival, the individual serving us seemed distant and bothered by having to serve us, took forever, took my CC and her mannerism was very off causing my wife and I to feel uneasy with her having our CC informed. We noticed our white socks turned dirty within minutes after walking around our room floors, same happened next night. Elevator went out of service after our first use, and we had to use the stairs; not normally an issue, but i'm disabled.They dont have anyone who can assist... enough said. Asked for face towels and was given (floor mat) towels. The reason was, "We're a basic service hotel and we just dont have things like that". Really? Your dailybstay rate is not that much from other local hotels, and you cant afford face towels? I didn't ask for the excuse for why the floors were dingy dirty. Never will stay there again, and know what? They won't care because the welcome represented it.

had a room on the 4th floor but the single elevator was broken, and this property is less than a year old, to add insult to injury when returning later from dinner our keycard wasn't working and the desk clerk had do let us in. We were happy with the room and its cleanliness. What was absolutely horrible was that the elevator was not working and we were on the fourth floor. Carrying luggage up and downstairs is definitely a fall risk and my husband did turn his ankle so we are taking him to urgent care to me. That was totally unacceptable. I believe a refund would be appreciated and would cover the cost of urgent care praying there’s nothing significantly wrong with his ankle.

This property is clean. Unfortunately, that is the only think that was good about our stay here, as well as the kind staff. However, with a family, it was not what I was expecting when booking a hotel with a kitchen, as I like to make meals to help with cost. If you are looking for an apartment with no in-room amenities for a few days, this place will work fine. However, if you are looking for a hotel with a kitchen, this place does not provide any amenities that you would expect from a hotel. There is no coffee maker, coffee, iron, ironing board, dishes (you have to rent separately) and cookware (you have to rent separately) which would add about $50 more dollars, no dishwasher detergent, no kitchen towels, or kitchen wash clothes, no dish detergent for hand washing dishes, not even a basket to trap food trash in the drain, barely any showering items that you would normally expect for a hotel. It really is just furniture and a room, which is very clean and I found the bed to be comfortable. Also, the street light was bright, because there were no room darkening curtains in our room and the blinds where not sufficient to cut out the light from the parking lot. It does not leave you feeling like the care you would expect to feel in regards to hospitality of your guests. It just feels like renting an apartment with furniture.

Bed bugs. Need I say more. This was brought to the management’s attention at check out on Saturday September 20th and as of the afternoon of the 23rd there has been no contact from the hotel management regarding this health hazard. We stayed in room 317 for two nights while attending CFAW and woke up on the morning of September 20th itching. It was then that we noticed large bed bugs crawling on the pillow cases, sheets , etc. What a nightmare! We had to decontaminate everything before getting back in our car. We have spent the last 2 days high temp washing everything that we took on our trip as well as treating all the bags, car etc. Do not stay here. I’m an ER doctor so I know what I saw and what a bed bug bite looks like so I speak from a position of education not ignorance.

The stay itself was nice but the front desk person at check in was rude and housekeeping was even ruder banging on my door like the police 2 hours before checkout waking up my sleeping baby

It’s an inexpensive clean extended stay hotel. It has everything I need (not a lot when I’m on the road for project work) and nothing I don’t. I may not be the typical traveler but I have zero issues with this location or this chain (having stayed in both the Lynchburg, VA and Brunswick, GA locations) multiple times each. Will certainly be back.

Wood floors too noisy, no supplies in room, dogs barking in adjacent rooms at night, and no staff at desk most of the time. Got charged more than advertised rate for an additional night that I added. Staff wouldn’t refund me the money and make it right. Pretty sketchy overall. I think triple actually stay there long term. Never again…
