$10 to park—keep in mind this is not a big city, it’s in an industrial area and was nothing but an UNDISCLOSED cash grab. $30 hold for incidentals that I had to call to be refunded, most hotels just hold a card on file. No breakfast. Ice machine was broken. Gym was broken and closed. Hallways smelled like weed and walls were paper thin. This was unlike any other Courtyard I’ve ever stayed in and I will never be back. Super 8-level hotel with Courtyard price.

The room view was an extremely dirty and grimy outside hotel supply area with a shed. The curtains were shredded/torn from bottom to top. There was a bug crawling inside the bathroom fixture. Built in dirt/scum on the shower floor and they sent me a $10 bill for overnight parking as though I was staying in some major city. The hotel may have been 1/4 full. The bedroom and lobby sofas were soiled. Elevator ceiling tiles missing.

Hotel is somewhat outdated even though it was supposedly renovated a few years back. The bathroom door would not lock, the shower had mildew in it, rust at the bottom of the doorway, shower had extremely little water with poor pressure, sink drain was extremely slow to drain. Lighting is way too dim
Do not eat breakfast at the hotel. It is outrageously expensive and food is terrible. Even the coffee was terrible(very weak). Definitely will not be back.

We were visiting our son at Liberty University, and the location of the hotel was close to campus. It was easy to come and go with many dining and shopping options close by. They have a walk up dining counter with a few breakfast and lunch/dinner options. We had the breakfast sandwich. It was decent. The coffee is Starbucks. Our room, and the hotel in general, was very clean and the staff were friendly. We will stay again next time we visit.

Fitted sheets really didn’t fit the queen bed. The lobby furniture had some stains on the seats and the lobby had an over powering air freshener that caused me a headache if I stayed in the lobby too long. But that’s all besides the point because they have a stellar staff!

The elevator was out our entire trip. My 91 year old father had to take the stairs up and down to and from the room. This limited his ability to fully enjoy our trip because he avoided going on most of our outings. At least the front desk was able to move our room one flight down.

The room was great, but what stood out was the staff. Has anyone else noticed how high hotel beds have gotten. I’m short (5’3”) and now I need a step stool to get in bed at every hotel. I didn’t my usual one, so I asked at the front desk. Malcolm (sorry, don’t remember his last name) couldn’t find one. So, he called his home and had someone bring his personal one. This is above and beyond service. This was not the first request, but the biggest.
Hey, Marriott! Promote this dude. Now.

I enjoyed my stay at this Courtyard very much. The staff was great and the room was clean and orderly. The rating of only four stars was because the microwave in the room did not work, and a second replacement also did not work. Other than that, I found my accommodations to be satisfactory.

Shower floor was stained and hasn’t been scrubbed in some time. You know that brown stain from dirty feet in white fibreglass tubs. Yeah. That.

USB-a port was broken and unuseable. Sink is clogged and wouldn’t drain effectively. Hair conditioner was empty. And our room reservation was for a king bed, but we got two queens.

These are basic upkeep things, and to see them as described above is quite disappointing.

This was the second time this summer that we stayed at the property; we were there both times for a baseball tournament. The first time, our room was fairly clean, but this time it was not. There was hair in the bathroom and mold around the shower door and faucet handle. The shower, as well, definitely needed a good scrubbing. Also, we were on the second floor, and the a/c unit in the hallway didn't work and looked like it had leaked recently, and the smell in the hallway was moldy.
