but room housekeeping needs help: bottles were empty-no hand soap, no body wash, dead large ant on windowsill - tried calling front desk and phone was always busy.
Dog friendly - but saw 2 large dogs loudly barking at each other in the lobby and a small unleashed dog sitting at the table eating during breakfast - there needs to be rules for dogs. Not all people like dogs, some are allergic and some dont want hair on their seats.

We were very impressed with the Margaritaville. The staff was very friendly. Overall for the hotel it was a great price. There are several restaurants and stores in the hotel. It is situated right next to a park which makes it great if you are bringing your furry friends with you. The walk to the beach is just the walk through the park. The food was great and the prices for things were very reasonable given that it was a hotel resort. We would highly recommend the hotel and we are probably going to look for other hotels by Margaritaville on our next vacation because we were very impressed with the quality cleanliness and amenities.

The property has easy access to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The hotel's decor is bright and cheery. Accommodations are clean and spacious. I suggest a couple of things in the bathroom, like more hooks for hanging clothes & towels, and a full door shower enclosure to keep water from splashing out. Breakfast was included, and the selection had a variety of both hot and cold items.

I decided to give this new hotel another try as I had to be in town for an appointment the next day, I'm happy to say that I will definitely stay again however I think housekeeping needs to really up their game. My room was much cleaner this visit however upon entering the bathroom the toilet seat was up like a man had used it, not sure if this is typical. And there was something that look like loose tobacco on the soap dish and around it on bathroom counter. I had dinner upstairs and it was wonderful, the wind was having a hand at things flying around however they seemed a little short staff at front desk(there was only one attendant checking in along line of people) and in waitstaff, there was quite a bit of garbage on the floor and tables.
All in all, these are things that may fix themselves in the future with better attention and more staff, I had a happy stay!!

Everything was amazing as always at the Flagler Beach Compass. The people, the room, the facility, the drinks and overall experience were fantastic! Sam and Nacho at the Chill Bar were great and the themed pool party for Yacht Rock night was so much fun! Jonathan crushed it! We already have another trip booked to come back later this year.

They have no microwave in the breakfast area. I asked the front desk person for a microwave to use and she said they had to give the break room microwave to a guest room. I also asked for a plastic trash bag due to the fact there were none in the room and the front desk guy said I'll have to find the cleaning person. No customer service and it seems all departments do t work together. On checkout my wife was planning on purchasing items from the gift shop and the employee was over one hour late and didn't open. Great location, nice pool and bar. Breakfast was great too. You can't out location your issues though.

The breakfast was fine the first day but it was exactly the same on day two which was disappointing.

The rooms were very nice. Bed was comfortable. Linens were nice quality. Breakfast was good with good choices. Nicely displayed food choices. Rooftop bar was lovely with a beautiful view of the ocean. They need a bit more covered parking, but parking was good overall. Staff was exceptional! Friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room itself was great and just what we were looking for while visiting family in the area. My only complaint is that the continental breakfast was not that good, but that's a minor inconvenience. We did order a few items off of the Bar menu and everything we tried was delicious. Another note to add, I had forgotten to pack lotion for the trip, but I didn't need to worry because there were toiletries in the room for use and saved the day.

The front desk staff are very friendly and professional. The room was comfortable, clean and the air worked fantastic. Breakfast was well stocked and good. The only thing that was not in line with the rest of our experience was the service at the Salty Rim Bar and Grill. Diane was not friendly. Actually, kind on condescending and extremely unwelcoming. We felt almost as if we were an inconvenience. In addition, we were never offered napkins. The fantastic and friendly waiter at Oceanside Beach Bar and Grill could give her lessons on making her customers feel welcome. However, this experience will not keep us from returning because everything else was excellent.

Clean and fun vibe at this hotel. Pros: 1. Incredibly comfortable beds and great in room AC. 2. Friendly service at bar and check-in. 3. Yummy and simple free breakfast with eggs, other protein choices, fruit, and bread choices. 4. Very cool rooftop bar view and vibe. Cons: 1. Shower does not have a ledge for placing items and has zero privacy facing the toilet. 2. Oceanfront rooms: Think before paying for an ocean front room; the traffic from Moody Blvd and the blasting music from Margaritaville's speakers a few feet away from most of the balconies facing out did not provide for a relaxing experience. I am thinking that the idea is an attempt to drown out street noise, but the combo of both the traffic and blasting music is not ideal. I thought I would be able to hear the waves from a distance, and that was not the case. While the front desk did move me to a quieter room (to 202 from 208, the very loud room) they were not exactly friendly about it and responded to my first call about the blasting music by saying \"We don't play music in those areas anymore.\" (strange) The next morning at 7am, music was no longer playing, but the activity in the park (blowers and tree cutters) added to the beeping and pounding from the repair work on the pier made for a very un-relaxing morning not spent on the balcony. All in all, I might consider a stay at a smaller, quieter boutique hotel nearby, but this is an overall fun and friendly vibe at the Flagler Compass Margaritaville.

Front desk was very kind. House keeping needs help. Had to ask for towels several times(party of 4 all girls) and they only kept bringing 2. Drain was clogged (with loads of hair) so couldn’t shower 1st night. Rooftop restaurant kept closing early-8 when front desk told us 9(one of the reason for choosing this place) as well as the one in the lobby(and team was snarky about it). Came back after a beach day to fire/rescue/cops because a guest was drunk and acting crazy. One of the reason for staying here was it looked safer than others in the area. What was suppose to be a little Father’s Day for my nieces(their father passed away a few years ago so my sister and I try to do vacays with them) turned into a $400 for 2 nights inconvenience!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

This truly was a tale of two properties.

On the plus side, the physical property was fantastic. We booked an ocean-side room with a balcony -- and the view of the sunrise each morning was spectacular. Dining room, pool area, and fitness center were all first rate.

However, the staff and service left *a lot* to be desired. Just a few examples: Our room was not ready at 4:00 and the front desk staff didn’t seem particularly concerned with finding a solution. The lobby bartender disappeared at closing time so we couldn’t properly close out our tab with a tip. The Chill Bar was a disorganized mess (staff wasn’t sure if they were open or closed; got someone else’s bill - and there were only two other couples in the bar!).

I understand this is a new property; they’ve got a lot of wrinkles to iron out.

The Chill bar and Salty Rim were amazing and our bartender Samantha was amazing!! I think she's the best bartender I've ever had!! The food at the Chill Bar was phenomenal and very big portions. All of the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay the again!!

Loved staying here. Been going to Flagler Beach for years, and it's lovely to finally have a real hotel.

What I loved - bed and pillows, breakfast and location. What I didn't love: no microwave in room and very small fridge. Pretty much demands you to eat at their facility (higher costs than average in area). Furniture beyond the bed - uncomfortable. The walk-in shower was lovely, but no shelf to place your items on - plus the glass around the shower was not long enough to keep excessive amounts of water from the bathroom floor(ie. Slip hazzard).

Loved having coffee every noon with a local Ron outside at the tables. Meeting him was a highlight! Would come back for that reason alone!

Overall this was a very nice place with friendly staff. This issues that we had were taken care of and the main desk was super apologetic. The restaurant down stairs was great both with food and service and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. The rooftop bar is definitely an area for improvement. Service up there was some of the worst I’ve seen but everyone had bad days so I’m not bashing them overall. Parking at this hotel is the only real downside, there is none. If you can even find a place don’t leave it or you won’t get another. Parking passes from the desk are clearly just a suggestion because everyone doing anything down that way parks in the parking lot as well. This place needs more parking or the city needs to add a parking garage.

The staff was very accommodating and went out of there way the room was well done and view was excellent but. The noise level and loud probably feeling no pain other guests made it alone impossible to sleep. The bar across the street played very loud music till the next day then the late late crowd were very inconsiderate of the other guest and got into verbal fights more than once on our only 2 night stay. Unfortunately that’s enough for me and my wife to not consider goi g back. We prefer a little less rowdy crowd. And could not recommend staying unless that’s what you’re looking for. Also the chill bar on the top was a really nice view and probably one of the best spots to hang on the beach.

Property was kept clean and a very fun atmosphere. The one item was the shower drain, it was not draining properly. When I picked up the Metal cover below was covered in mold, hair not sure what else. You can tell this was an area that housekeeping never looks at when cleaning the room.

I enjoyed the Compass Hotel, our view from the balcony was great as it also overlooked the Veterans Park. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. We never struggled to find a parking space, the free breakfast was fully stocked. We also enjoyed the live singing . Only issues : the ice machine was extremely loud .. where our room was located near the elevator we could hear it all night. Although it’s a no smoking hotel.. there were strong odors of smoke in the hallways at certain times. Mainly mornings. Our king size bed was a little too firm but some people would like that. Despite the small issues, we will definitely be going back. I love the laid back atmosphere, the location, and the newness .

The room was as expected with Margaritaville vibes. The staff super attentive and helpful. The breakfast was the same everyday but it was healthy and you could eat and feel full and ready for the day. The pool and bars were on point, however what stands out to me is the location. Walking distance to so many restaurants, the beach and even a Dollar General in case you need something. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation.

My mom and I arrived at the hotel too check-in and was informed we couldn’t check-in due to the hotel’s system being down . So we had to wait 2 hours before we were able to check in . I felt back cause there wasn’t another young lady who I could see was madly exhausted from the day and just wanted to check -in her room as well .mind you for in the inconvenience they didn’t offer us a complimentary drink a snack or anything. Once we were finally able to check in we made it to the room and I noticed there was a stain on the comforter that looked like bodily fluids if you know what I mean , Absolutely disgusting and disappointing. Mind you my mom and I stayed at the Location on Anna Maria island and had a wonderful stay but this location in Ormond i don’t recommend
