We always prided ourselves on making and maintaining that \"No. 1\" status and it's evident that the owners of this property have the same mindset. I can't think of even one area where they lacked. Absolutely eveything was impeccable! We intend to return often and that should say it all.

Owners were super sweet. They took care of us like family and really took the extra care for our stay to be enjoyable. The inn is directly across the street from a private beach and they offer chairs, sunscreen, ice, bikes and more. The breakfast was delicious every morning. Our room was gorgeous and came equipped. I would definitely stay again. New favorite piece of the coast. Thanks so much!

My husband and I were very happy during our stay at The Island Cottage Inn. The rooms are very clean and charming. Kathy and Tim are exceptional hosts who are like old friends by the time you check out. They provide a variety of breakfast options that start your day off right. Their beachfront across the street is the perfect place to take a long walk or relax on the chairs that are provided. If my husband and I are anywhere near Flagler Beach again, we will absolutely stay here.

Island Cottage Inn exceeded every expectation. Tim and Kathy were unbelievably attentive, kind, and welcoming—truly outstanding hosts. I travel often and have never had such a consistently positive experience.

The location was ideal, and the surrounding community felt like the definition of a perfect beach town: laid-back, friendly, and inviting. This place isn’t just somewhere to stay—it’s somewhere you’re genuinely happy to be. I would return without hesitation and recommend it to anyone.

Loved our beautiful suite and it was very clean! Loved having a view of the ocean...loved having access to complimentary nice big umbrella and chairs for beach...and loved the closeness and seemingly private use of a beautiful beach only steps away! One more thing the 2 restaruants we ate at for our dinner were both less than 1/2 mile-3/4 mile away! Our only dislike is we would have liked a little more of a variety complimentary breakfast as well as wish the time would be at least available from 8:00-10:00 a.m. instead of 8:30-10:30 a.m..other than that it is a beautiful well kept cozy inn and we had a wonderful time celebrating our 48th Wedding Anniversary!

This was our second stay at The Cottage Inn, and we’re already planning to return next year! We stayed in Suite 5 and really enjoyed the direct access to the pool — such a great feature. The complimentary bicycles were a fun option and added to the overall experience. Although we didn’t use the beach chairs this time, it’s nice to have them available. Most of our time was spent relaxing by the pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Great place to stay, quiet and quaint. We brought our dogs, and enjoyed a day in the beach with them. The room was small but clean and cute. There are Many pet friendly restaurants that allowed us to eat on patio with them and enjoy the cool sea breeze.

Perfect solo beach getaway!

Located right across from the beach and near several nature preserves, very quiet and peaceful. Simple yet elegantly designed, with clean and comfortable rooms, a variety of outdoor patios, relaxing pool, delicious breakfast, easy parking, and wonderful hosts! Exactly the experience I was hoping for, including dolphins in the ocean at sunrise.

My room with only bed facing bathroom which is in your bedroom was a room not a suite.
Not sure why ownership claimed that small tiny room with barely any ocean view was sold as suite?
Very deceiving approach to get people to rent this “suite” out.

I have moved out next morning to check in to Hummock Beach to continue my stay with actual ocean view with balcony.

What an amazing place. So beautiful so peaceful and its own private beach right there. Our dog was so excited to be able to go to the beach he was smiling from ear to ear. The host was so accommodating and the inn was so nice. The room was clean and well managed. We had everything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful and we sat outside in this beautiful setting and didn’t want to leave. We actually booked another night for our trip back and decided this might be our new get away spot. Only three hours from us and so perfect. What a great find.

OUTSTANDING PLACE!! My wife and I took a few days to wine down and we couldn’t have picked a more tranquil place. Super attentive staff, clean rooms, ocean view, beach across the street. Happy hour within the property, excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Amazing place to stay. Smells clean and fresh!! The whole place was quiet and peaceful. The beach is right across the road with private access. They even offer complimentary beach chairs, towels, and beach umbrellas. We will definitely stay here again!!

I stayed at the ICI for three nights (July 22nd-July 25th). I was looking for a peaceful place on the beach for my “Eat, Pray, Self-care” retreat. This was the perfect place with the perfect hosts & great service. The beach is literally across the street. The cafe is adorable and offers a delicious continental breakfast. My room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable—the bed & pillows were the best I’ve ever slept on. I plan to make this an annual trip. It’s far enough from the “city” to feel like a getaway but close enough to drive to in about an hour.

I was in need of a mini Eat. Pray. Love. retreat and Island Cottage Inn turned out to be the perfect place. The rooms are modern, bright, and well decorated. I could have happily set in my room the whole time. The property also has multiple cute spots to sit and read. It’s small enough that there was plenty of privacy. When I did come across other guests, they were very kind and many were repeat guests, which says a lot about a property. The beach is just a few steps away and often I was the only person there, just me and the ocean. The inn provides really nice chairs, towels, and umbrellas that are easy to carry over with you. It’s easy to walk up and down the beach or the sidewalk up above. I walked into the cute town everyday. There are plenty of restaurants, churches, and coffee shops. It’s also easy to drive everywhere and with assigned parking spots, you don’t have to worry about finding a place when you get back. The town is friendly. Everyone nodded and said hello, and I felt safe everywhere I went. I was surprised that there is also a lot of site-seeing to do in the area - nature trails, unique terrain and such. I can't recommend this place more for solo travelers or couples who are looking for a clean, safe, quiet, and modern place to stay and explore.

We recently had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend getaway at Flagler Beach. We departed on Thursday morning and stayed at the Island Cottage Inn, an exclusive, adults-only resort located directly across from the beach in Flagler. The inn provided a range of amenities, including beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas, as well as a complimentary breakfast each morning and a happy hour on Friday evening. With only nine suites, the inn offered a cozy and intimate atmosphere, and we appreciated having our own designated parking space.
We also visited the grave sites of some of the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet in Jacksonville.
The entire experience was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and we relished the privacy and seclusion of the resort and its surroundings.

Perfect Beach Inn with a great location!

Island Cottage Inn is a very cute boutique hotel located about 2 miles South of the Flagler Pier. Check in was easy, our room was spacious and clean with everything we need and more. Breakfast was great and served quickly. We look forward to returning.

The property was clean and the facilities like the pool and Cabana area were very nice. The room was very clean but did not have any real usable Furniture such as chairs. There was a large window high above the bed but you were unable to close the blind which allowed the room to heat up from the afternoon sun . The chairs that were in there were cumbersome and uncomfortable. Originally we were booked into one room and they changed us to an upstairs room because of our pet. Unfortunately the stairs were very hazardous and our elderly beagle ended up falling down the stairs hurting himself and ended up in the local emergency vet's office until 2 AM with a $1,200 bill and a dog that was in a lot of pain. I would not recommend the property for older people as I am near 70 and the stairs were difficult for both my wife and I to navigate safely. Also when he showed us to our room no assistance was offered for the luggage. We had to make several trips up and down the stairs. it was not the best experience.

This place is so quiet and quaint. It's a short walk across the street to a private beach area. The hospitality of Dex and Colton was amazing and they were incredibly helpful for all of our questions and needs. I cannot have gluten and they always had a gluten free breakfast option that I really appreciated as some places don't offer this. I highly recommend staying here if you want relaxation and a cozy atmosphere.
