Great view from balcony in room. Easy acces to the pool and beach. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. The pool water was a bit foamy and the area around the pool was unkempt, but it'sa nice sized pool by the ocean. I'll give grace since it was 4th of July weekend and the hotel was packed. Inside the hotel is clean and neat, but the outside area needs some maintenance.

This was more of a motel. The front desk staff were nice people. The rooms are not nice, but they were clean. The sliding door needs a new track or something (couldn'topen/close), our 2nd room the tv would not work, thankfully the front desk sent someone up by the afternoon. The staff was great, the breakfast, rooms and hotel itself were not. I'm not sure if all Spark's are like this. We purchased two rooms and only one had the seating area and the other was smaller. Great access to the beach.

Our room smelled so bad. The fridge wasn’t cleaned. I was able to have housekeeping come clean it but it still stunk up the whole room. The bath did not drain well. “Free breakfast” was bare — bagels, cereal, or yogurt and fruit. Nice location on the beach. Nice staff. But needs work and won’t stay here again.

It's old but clean. Loved the full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Smelled so good. Comfortable beds. Nice big pool. No hot food for breakfast but still good. Bagels and cream cheese, yogurt, fruit, instant oatmeal, muffins, cereal.. Very weak coffee! Publix,, Outback, Dunkin and more with in minutes. Rip Tides is 5 minutes down road and has amazing seafood! Wasn't happy about paying $10/day to park. Don't feel like it's a hotel that should charge for parking..Staff was very friendly for the most part. Mark, at breakfast, had such a great positive attitude everytime we saw him :)

We really enjoyed our stay, especially at how dog friendly everyone was. The room was a bottom floor with the patio off to the deck and pool area, that slept 6(plenty of room for 4 and a dog). The patio was fenced in and perfect for our dog. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only complaint was the air conditioner could have been colder, but it is July on the beach and the fire alarm chirped off and on all night our last night! We will definitely be back!

This property was dirty and rundown. The staff was non-existent could never reach anyone when I asked for towels. I was told I was only allowed to. There’s three in our party. The pool was dirty and cloudy. There were two maybe three tables with two umbrellas so on the hundred degree heat you were left to melt by the pool. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Not a private balcony. More like a fishbowl. Also, you can see large cracks in others balconies. I was scared to sit on the balcony. I usually pick a room mainly based on PRIVATE balcony so I can enjoy the beach without the sand.

Starting with the positive, I would stay there again for sure. For the rate, The View and location were both amazing. We were on the 7th floor with the big room. The hotel is pet friendly with a great rate. I would like to recognize Kiki and Derek. My mom had an accident on the beach on Monday after having shoulder surgery just a month ago. Derek as well as some strangers on the beach put my mom on the luggage rack and brought her up to the room and literally picked her up and put her in the bed. He went above and beyond. There were some suggestions that we have about the rooms and it sounds like with Kiki being in charge and housekeeping things will start to get addressed. Our room kind of look like someone may have slept in the bed before us but I did bring my own sheets because of the pets. There was hair in the bathroom floors in the corners and the toilet overflowed one night. Maybe the rooms need plungers but for sure they need better pillows, ice buckets, microwaves, clean or replacement carpet as it was really dirty. I have never seen a refrigerator a small as the one we had in our room meaning we had to constantly put ice on the coolers to keep our drinks and food cold. Ice is only available on the 3rd and 5th floor. Maybe more ice machines and possibly vending on each floor would be more helpful. The steakhouse across the street put some kind of flyer under or on our door sometime after 10:00 one night. Maybe a little more security presence.

The room toilet did not work and was brought to the staffs attention. They said someone would fix it in the morning which did not happen. I woke up to several bug bites on my face and also let the staff know and was told I would be refunded my stay which did not happen and when I called about it a staff member told me there was no record of a refund for my stay. It’s an older hotel slightly remodeled and staff seemed nice, just did not completely stand up to the agreement they made with me about being bit while in bed. They did refund my hold and parking but that was it.

The outside looks slightly run down, but the room was nice. The parking is horrible...the spaces in the main lot are small and the underground parking is tight and hard to turn around. There's not enough parking unless you get sent to the overflow lot.

Good hotel, clean and modern. Thi is our 3rd year here. The breakfast use to be hot with scrambled eggs and bacon. It's now mostly carbohydrates. Cerals, muffins and such. Will stay here in the future. Good location, clean and nice pool area.

No coffee in room, no microwave, no ice bucket, no hot water in sink. Did not try breakfast after seeing all the children. Did like the underground parking but did not like the parking fee. Location was great, room was clean and well maintained. The toliet is very low and difficult for elderly to use. Need more hand held bar in bathroom.

Like almost every beach side hotel in Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach the facility is not new. This hotel had some wear but the room was very clean, beds were comfortable, towels were a nice bright white, and the pool is great. Jackie kept the breakfast area spotless and well stocked. Our three little boys were able to find things for breakfast and we all loved the bagel bar. The balcony of our room faced the ocean which was an unexpected, fantastic surprise. We had a blast here and will be back!!!!!

You had to walk through the smoking area to get to the pool or beach. There were only 2 umbrellas in the pool area. There was no soap in the pool bathroom for 3 days. There was no milk during the first day we went to breakfast. The boiled eggs were so gross I had to spit them out. The floor in the hallway was very slick.

While the rooms are spacious and the location is great, everything else about this hotel is terrible.

We had a roach crawling in our bed, staff didn’t even react when we told them this, housekeeping never came to our room in the three days we stayed, and there was a fight between guests and staff in the dining room that resulted in the cops being called. One staff member was helpful at the end, but otherwise this place was a disaster. Will not stay again.

Rooms are big and comfortable. Beach is right there; I loved how easy it is to get to the beach. Everything is very clean, staff is great. Many restaurants and shops just in case you forgot something . Breakfast is included. If you like just cold breakfast like: cereal, bagels, fresh fruit, coffee and juice; you're okay. I prefer scrambled eggs, pancakes and hot breakfast. However, across the street from the hotel there's a diner and hotel breakfast is great.

We arrived 15 minutes after the stated 3 pm check-in time but our room wasn’t ready until 4:15 pm. When we got into the room, it was clean. However, the carpet was soaking wet, apparently because of a fresh shampooing. Then we had an issue with our air conditioning in the room, where the condensate drain was apparently plugged, preventing the room from ever drying out.

There were 2 elevators, but 1 was intermittently out of order.

I don’t recommend this hotel. We won’t be returning to this hotel.

The property has a beautiful pool, is located right on the beach for easy access, and close enough to walk to many restaurants. However, the hotel is understaffed as the maids could not adequately clean the rooms. Our room was not cleaned until an hour after checkout time. Our room carpet was filthy and the shower curtain had a lot of mold.

The view was great. The service was great . The room was great but didn’t care for the sink in the room where the bed was. No privacy getting ready for the day. All in all it was good. Oh but there was also not enough parking spaces like we had to park away a few times. I mean even the handicap was full. There should always be enough spaces to park and it was hard to maneuver our big truck around the parking lot and the parking garage. When you have to pay extra for parking, you at least want a space to park your vehicle.

The all gray and ripped Umbrellas could use fresh , happier colors and need to be renewed. Tables and chairs are not enough. Chairs are very uncomfortable , although
the heaviness ( against the wind) is understandable, same on the balcony.
The toilet in the room had the size for toddlers and too low for older adults.
The only one handbar in the shower made the shower dangerous.

Without the great staff we would have moved out right away.

Overall, my stay was quite adequate. Check-in went smoothly enough and the staff were both informative and helpful. I did not like that the luggage carts were around the buildings corner and its slightly inconvenient that if a luggage cart is in fact needed: instead of being able to stay inside the hotel to access an elevator you have to exit the lobby walk around the front of the parking lot and then re-enter the building with the added hassle of using your keycard. It was quite difficult to do on my own and I could only imagine how hard it would be for someone disabled.

The inside of the room was immaculately clean however the terrace was lacking. The hotel advertised room service, a washer/dryer ( like there was one in each room) , a restaurant on premises, and a few other amenities that in fact were not provided.

I had difficulty accessing the QR code hotel information and I believe the wrong link was being pulled up due to a Google owned storage option kept displaying un the url.

Unfortunately, I had to check out an hour early due to the overflow drainage face being installed upside down and the drainage system under the tub being non-existent; water then flooded the lower level floors.

The beach view from my room was beautiful. The room was clean and a very good size. The breakfast was very poor, so I ended up having breakfast at a diner across the street named Angelina's Diner. Very good food at a very good price.
The coffee at the hotel , which is supposed to be available all day , was not fresh. So, again, I went outside for coffee. Dunkin Donuts is across the street as well as Angelina's . Other than the food, the hotel is a good one at a fair price. I enjoyed my staying there.

Disappointed by no microwave in room, the refrigerator had a bad seal and ruined our milk for our toddler overnight. A heated pool would be a good upgrade as it was freezing. Not the hotels fault, but a single guest checked into the room next door at about 10:30 at night, and began slamming things around all over his room, the balcony, and the doors, making it difficult to keep two children sleeping.

For the price, the hotel was nice and great for the kids. The room was relatively clean, though the carpets were dirty enough that they would turn your feet black so shoes/slippers were necessary in the room. The pool was in nice condition but the water was quite cold. The size of the room was great, made it easy to stay organized. Breakfast is very basic; bagels, muffins, cereal and oatmeal. My family would use this hotel again for another vacation.
