Getting our room cleaned felt like more of a chore unfortunately. And when we asked to toiletries or towels, we were told to go downstairs and grab them ourselves. And for how much I spent on that room, it definitely should’ve been way more updated and polished. There was very few staffs that were nice. Most of them were very rude and gave a lot of customers that I witnessed a lot of attitude. Including myself. The only thing that was decent was the view for my balcony.

No TV remote in the room, and the staff didn’t seem to care at all. For $300 a night, this is completely unacceptable. I ended up having to go to a nearby Walmart to buy my own remote because no one made any effort to resolve the issue. What a shame—this shows a serious lack of customer service.

The staff was Great everyone so friendly and ready nice, the ladies at check-in were very accommodating, and helpful!! The property is a little dated but the views were great, and the access to the beach was perfect!! Pool was cold, not heated, the breakfast was your typical continental breakfast, but there was only one toaster, for so many ppl. But the rooms were clean, kitchen was clean, will probably be where my Jeep club will stay next year for Jeep beach again!!

The condition of the resort needs redoing needs to be better. You can’t say that it is a resort and it doesn’t really look like a resort. I do think the place for allowing us to have a place to stay. Staff was super friendly, but the place does need an upgrade.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at El Caribe. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.

The rooms were very clean, and we especially loved the comfortable beds and the variety of pillows provided. While the property is on the older side, it is great to see the ongoing updates. Every member of your staff, including the maintenance team, was extremely friendly and helpful.

We also wanted to share a special mention for the check-in desk team—the ladies were absolutely amazing, and there was a gentleman there who was very funny and made us feel welcome.

The location is excellent, and while the grocery store across the street was under renovation, having a Publix just up the road was very convenient.

Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Building is starting to show some wear and tear, but I have stayed here many times, and rarely have any issues. It’s not the Ritz, so if that’s what you’re looking for, keep going. I recently stayed at El Caribe Hotel & Conference Center, and I have very mixed feelings about the experience.

The location is absolutely beautiful. As soon as you walk into the room, the ocean view truly takes your breath away. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was incredibly peaceful and easily the highlight of the stay.

Unfortunately, while the room looks nice at first glance, the cleanliness was a major issue. The bathroom was so dingy that I didn’t feel comfortable showering during my entire stay—my husband felt the same way. The toilet ran all night, which made it hard to relax, and the bed sheets were dirty. We usually bring our own sheets, so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience for us personally, but it’s still unacceptable and honestly pretty gross.

I do want to say that the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. It’s clear that the hotel has so much potential. With some serious updates and better housekeeping, this place could be amazing.

Overall, the location and views are incredible, but the condition and cleanliness of the hotel really take away from the experience. Great spot, but not-so-great stay.

The staff at check-in were very friendly. This property is very old and it shows. The walls are so thin that we could hear everything in the room beside us. We could also smell the food they had in the next room. Breakfast was supposed to open at 7:00. No one was there to open the breakfast room at 7:00 or even by 7:30. The pools looked nice and good access to the beach.

I had such high hopes. I went to four different rooms and really tried to have an open mind. The rooms were dirty. They didn’t look like they had been properly cleaned in years. The last room they sent me to hadn’t even been cleaned by staff and had unmade beds and dirt towels. The bathroom was disgusting. I honestly felt unclean after being in these rooms. Find somewhere else to stay. I do have to say that the front desk lady was the sweetest human ever. She was so understanding and kind. She even tried to help me find where else to stay.

Don't be fooled by the pictures online. This place looks nothing like the pictures. They really need to just demolish and rebuild it. Even though the floors in our room looked clean, they were actually very dirty. The rest of the room was ok, but still a disappointment after seeing the pictures they post online. Just be aware that it really is not a nice place. Would I ever stay there again, NO!!!!!

The hotel is dated. Door to room had to be forced open and closed. No fan in bathroom. Difficulties getting water in shower to shut off. Walls do not insulate noise from other rooms or the hallway. Breakfast is packaged food. Orange juice came out clear.

I have stayed at this Resort Confernce Center for about 6 or more years straight and it is not cheap. Mrs. Wanda the receptionist whwn i checked it was so nice and pleasant. Same as I had received years prior. From Friday morning walking in to speak with the receptionist i was not greeted with words but with 2 unprofessional ladies they had conversation amongst each other. And they just stared at me like I was interrupting. Still no greeting, no how may I help you. It was very uncomfortable. My telephone had no dial tone for me to call front desk to request towels and wash clothes. One of the ladies stated maintenace will be up to fix it. There was no 24 hour security as the resort had always provided for motorcycle safety which was not provided prior to booking. I check out a day early and when i entered 2 ladies wer sitting in the lobby like guest eating food, no one at the desk and i again received uncomfortable stares from both ladies like i didnt belong there. And this time I let it be known tbat this has been the worst stay ever at this resort that for 6 or more years had no issues with. No greeting, they remained eating no one at the desk to check me out VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! They have completely lost me as a regular booking client during my future stays. I understand the new staff changes but they definitely need to train the ones they have in place now. I am very disappointed.

Asked for another room to check in and was given a keycard to another room which apparently was occupied and dead bolted. Never checked in. Manger was gonna give us a refund but we had to contact Expedia . First Expedia agent gave us the run around that that he couldn’t contact the hotel. Went to said hotel and they said they got no email or phone call. Called Expedia again, they got ahold of the manager. They finally gave in but screwed us for two days of the eight we booked. We never checked in. As far as I’m concerned someone stills us $500.00 dollars. Not happy with hotel or Expedia.

First the staff was very off putting, room key didn’t work and had to go back down to office where front desk obviously had no idea who I was after being there 3 times in less tha 6mins come to find out door key scanner battery wa dead, probably the reason why the room was left completely dirty, dirty side tables and the shower had a very VERY black dirty washcloth hanging on the shower head, kitchen table was nasty with sticky stuff all over it, floors were nasty and right before we left we noticed dried blood ALL over the bottom mattress cover, beds are completely uncomfortable and for $496 a night I expected way better, the door looked like it had been broken into also, it was so unkept and not cleaned it was one of the worst places I’ve ever been in, remind you after going back down the 4th time the lady didn’t recognize me AGAIN and then told me they would clean the room took our room keys and said she’ll find another room to put us and come back in 2hrs instead of sending someone up immediately to make it right, I’ve never been more dissatisfied in my life with one place, yes I have pictures of everything I’ve mentioned and then some

It would be a little loud sometimes in the evenings with people coming and going. I didn't necessarily feel unsafe, but I did note that it was difficult to lock the deadbolt.

If I was on a budget, I would definitely come back.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures. The balcony looks and feels like it’s was about to cave in. We stayed on the 4th floor and each time we took the elevator and it got to the second floor it would make a weird noise and then shake a little bit. The bathroom sink was wobbly. The shower tiles were yellow and white. The hallways outside looked like a hurricane came through and chipped the paint away. The room had a terrible smell in it and it gave us a headache. The door was hard to lock. We had to jiggle it until the latch bolt was secure in the strike plate and then it would lock. There was also a gap in door and we could see outside through it. The safe was rusty. The remote to the tv had no back on it and the batteries kept falling out. One of the pillowcases looked like it had rust on it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Reserved the Omond Beach Suite... pics here do not reflect what we experienced. Upon arrival I noticed beat up legs on furrniture, refrigerator and microwave had visible rust. I was disappointed, yet thought I could deal with it.

Minutes after our arrival, I noticed footprints on the floor. Upon closer inspection, realized the floor hadn't been mopped. Notified the front desk. They didn't have any house keeping on staff at that hour yet offered to send a maintenance guy to handle things.

Went to dinner and came back... could tell the maintenance guy did run a mop over things, yet decided it needed another go. Decided to unpack and go to bed and noticed there were zero hangers in the room, yet the bed was clean and comfortable.

The following morning I let the front desk know house keeping was needed and also needed hangers. After returning from breakfast, there were hangers on the outside doorknob. They were the wooden kind, yet the metal hooks were covered in rust. The room had been mopped again, still not totally clean... not certain the last time the floor had received a thorough mopping. My husband grabbed a bath towel and ended up mopping the floor himself.

The outdoor furniture was pretty worn and dated... the view was gorgeous. Then later I noticed more white dust in the room... dropping off the curtains? Then it I realized it was some sort of peeling plaster or paint coming off the walls and ceiling.

Checked out early and moved to a different hotel.

Let me start by saying the staff was wonderful! They were super friendly and super helpful. The place itself is very dingy and outdated. The elevator broke down at least twice during our stay. The room was spacious, but the sheets were dirty and the bathroom was sketchy. The view was beautiful and breathtaking. The tub had weird yellow tiles here and there and the drain was gaping and gross. The area surrounding the hotel is somewhat run down. Overall, it was just ok. I wouldn’t stay there again though.

It is not what it looks like in the pictures. There is no heated pool as the description says. And when i asked about it the lady in the office said well expedia lies!!! The room is outdated, rusty stove water mark like it was flooded, which explains the portable dehumidifier in the room, bathroom door couldn’t close right, the bathroom tub after each shower will filled with water and never went down for my two nights stay, TV was working but two to four black lines was on the screen while watching, smoke detector kept going off for no reason. Hotel is mostly a motel not a resort, for the price been charged it’s not worth it.

Room was old and smelled weird. Door between rooms is so thin You could hear the people next to you talking like they were in your room. My bathtub had a leak in it so when we took a shower, it flooded our room. Luckily it was on checkout day so they moved us to a room to finish getting ready. Needed to stay another night somewhere. Manager promising to call and offer a discounted rate never received a phone call so booked somewhere else. Would definitely never stay here again even for the cheap price.

Dont let the pictures fool you. We had issues with the door (needed a new battery even upon check in). There is gaps in the door frame that makes it look very unsafe for anyone. The doors need to be slammed to close all the way. The toilets have rust around them. The walls need painted. This resort needs a major upgrade.

We arrived early and was pleased to be able to check in. Check in was fast and pleasant. We quickly noticed our balcony door wouldn't open.Whithin 10 minutes maintenance arrived and replaced the door handle. Overfront view was perfect. While hotel may be older hotel our room was very clean and we had a great stay. Upon checking out I left my sunglasses and the nice woman cleaning our room came out before we left and returned them. This hotel will be our go to whenever visiting Daytona. Plenty of restaurants close by

This hotel has been our “go to” place since 2020. Anywhere from last minute overnight stays to family weekend getaways. I have to admit, this hotel has since gone down hill. The staff are just as friendly as the previous employees, however, the rooms and property have taken a turn for the worse. It was once a lively place to be, but I saw maybe 15 people in the last 4 days. We were told that since 2020, the property has been sold twice! Unfortunately, we have decided that this will be our last stay going forward unless something changes.

Breakfast was good but could be a little better. Rooms were in need of alot of work. This was the worst that El Caribe has been since I've been coming over the last 20 + yrs. New owners need to step up and bring life back into a place that used to be nice.

The elevator stopped working less than an hour after we arrived and was not repaired until the next day. Our room was on the 6th floor, and there was no information provided about the situation, nor were we offered to move to another room. My husband has health problems, and we had to go up and down the stairs several times.

Location was far enough away from all the bikes during biketoberfest. The elevator was not working last night and we had to walk up six flights of stairs but it was working this morning. It was a standard plus continental breakfast. Motorcycle dedicated parking was wonderful.
