Great view of the beach and a fully equipped kitchen. There was even a sofa bed and space to eat. The AC cooled well, only thing is that it did release a bit of dust as it operated. The staff was attentive and helpful whenever they were needed and the pool/hot tub area was also great. The access to the beach was very eay and the beach was private, so there werent that many people. There is plenty of parking which is great because its never an issue when you come back late (like if you are going to Rockville). Only con I can say of this place is that you can tell its slightly older, and not everything is super new. Cleanliness could be a bit better, but thats just because I am a bit of a clean freak. I would come again and would recommend this place.

We booked a room back on December 28th. We were staying Thursday to Monday. While getting ready to leave for the day on Saturday at 11:44am the front desk called my phone to tell me we had less than 30 minutes to vacat the room as we needed to be moved to another room since the owner of the unit was coming to use it. I was beyond shocked. We were told our new room might not be ready for a while but they could hold our luggage how kind…now I wonder what if we did leave earlier that morning would we come back to find our stuff just packed for us? I’ve never stayed at a place that has made you move…I could see if the owner didn’t know since December 28th, but it was paid in full. I would never stay here again. Since we had to move we also missed our plans and had to wait to get a new room with groceries just getting hot. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The rooms were recently renovated and remodeled. Nice kitchen full size refrigerator. Bathroom was dated a little. Be sure and bring your own soap and shampoo because they don’t provide much for you. The bed is small and not very comfortable. The views are fantastic from the room. Every room has a balcony that looks out onto the ocean. The pool and hot tub were great. There is 6 nice bbq grills by the pool. There is an outdoor fire pit, runs on gas, that is pretty cool. The beach is very close and has an easy access and is private for hotel guests only. Have to have your room key to access the beach. Gets really hot. We rented 2 chairs and an umbrella. They came and set it up for us right there on the beach. all in all very nice place to experience the beach and the ocean.

Let start with check in which was less than desirable. We were given a room but after I suffered( you're forced to hear a spiel about some meetings or something) from another person just to get my parking pass and I said i wasn't interested and that we were there just tw weeks ago, I was told someone was still in an room . Then they were trying to give me another but had to come back the next morning to get Another room which I said i want my money back if have switch rooms the next day. So then I was given another rm.I went uo and low and behold there's people still in there, we go back down to the lobby and are given another so we go back Up and this room has not been cleaned, dirty linen on bathroom floor, the bed was unmade with dirty linen balled up on the corner, over filled trash bag on top of trash can, used water bottles on the table so we go Back down to the lobby, then are given our last room but the nice clerk goes and checks this room himself. Finally success! The guy that checked us in was very nice and polite but seems to have problem with the computer stating the stuff is not getting updated. Also the ac has been broken in the lobby for over two weeks. The view from the balcony is great. Just before checking out of our room I was going to wash a couple of dishes but there was no dish soap in the room. I use to love the maverick but this new vacation management or whatever its called is well, less than desirable. I hope the owners get better management

This is exactly what we were looking for. We loved the quiet location! Even with Spring break going on, we had the beach to ourselves most of the time. We brought the cold weather with us so the heated pool and hot tub was a hit for our 13 year old. Staff was wonderful. We loved the outdoor space with multiple built in grills, made lobster tails and scallops. Picked up a ton of FRESH seafood at Hulls (amazing people there too and great pricing) after having a disastrous meal at Riptide (I don't recommend).

The room was a good size, like a small suite and we had a studio on the 6th floor. Great having the kitchenette to steam 4 lbs of snow crab and make meals and snacks throughout the week. Best part was walking in each time and having an unobstructed beautiful view of the ocean! Being from St. Louis it was such a treat! Every room has a huge window with a walkout balcony to enjoy sunrises, sunsets, a cup of coffee, even staying dry during a small tropical afternoon storm.

Room needed a small amount of work but nothing major. They're working on the hotel and we didn't hear a peep! Plenty of parking with so much to do in the area. We went to Bass Pro for our fishing license. There are endless waterfront parks with boardwalks making fishing a breeze. We even caught a small hammerhead!

If you are looking for the most bang for your buck on a spot literally right on the beach with a gorgeous backdrop this is it! We will definitely be back! Thanks to everyone at The Maverick!

I was completely blown away by this resort! Their attention to detail is impeccable. Check in was seamless thanks to Sharon & Randy. Every staff member I encountered was friendly & accommodating. I can't say enough about the room. It was clean, up to date, & had everything a person could need for a comfortable stay. The most magical part of my stay was being able to sleep listening to the waves & in the morning being able to watch the sunrise right from my bed!!! How amazing is that?!!! I've already booked another stay for next month. See ya soon!!!

Reservé un hotel a través de su plataforma y al momento de hacer el check-in, alrededor de las 12 de la noche, la habitación que me asignaron estaba completamente sucia. Tengo evidencia en fotos.

Lo más preocupante fue que el personal del hotel no me ofreció ninguna solución adecuada en ese momento. Incluso propuse quedarme en la habitación y limpiarla yo misma a cambio de algún descuento, pero tampoco accedieron.

Me vi obligada a quedarme porque era tarde, estaba lejos de mi hogar y no tenía otra opción en ese momento. Posteriormente, me quedé un día adicional de lo pautado, pero en lugar de resolver la situación, el hotel me indicó que debía gestionar el reclamo directamente con Expedia.

Considero que el servicio recibido no cumple con los estándares mínimos de calidad, especialmente en términos de limpieza e higiene. Por esta razón, solicito formalmente un reembolso total o parcial por la estadía.

The beach view is extraordinary from the balcony and inside the room. The space was clean and well organized. I was impressed by how quiet it was, no slamming doors or loud voices heard inside the room. The layout of the resort is convenient with easy access to parking and the beach. I felt safe there. Our room was wonderful. It was very clean and comfortable. All the towels and sheets were very white and clean. The bedroom overlooked the beach and ocean and the bed was very comfortable. My room had a full kitchen, and had everything you needed, which included plates, mugs, glasses, silverware and a knife block with scissors. It also came with a fridge/freezer and stove/oven. You couldn't want for anything. The employees were wonderful especially the front desk people. There is also beach access, pools, bbq area, firepit area, and a covered seating area. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking in the Ormond Beach area. You can't go wrong here.

Bed was not completely made and I called the front desk and they told me to come to the desk and they would give me the missing bedding. I said I didn’t feel I needed to make the bed at a hotel when I’m on vacation and he just said ok and handed me the linens. The window AC was about 12” from the bed which meant the cold air was blowing directly on me. The floors were dirty.

Property was beachfront and the view was great. The check in process was smooth and even though my room wasn’t ready, I was understanding and just waited and the staff was very nice and apologetic. Even the timeshare people weren’t pushy. The amenities were nice and i did see that there was a prior bar/restaurant area. That should definitely be opened up, it would make a killing. The only thing that I didn’t like was the lack of security and lighting at night. We parked in the backside facing the ocean and it was pitch black. Coming around the building was lighting but then got stopped by people trying to access keyed entrances asking us if we stayed there and to let them in. We did not and the person continued banging in the door and we heard someone else let her in. The lack of security can give the wrong person access. Other than that everything was really nice and I would go back.

Very nice room that was right on the beach. The balcony was nice and comfy and cozy and quiet. The kitchen was fully loaded with all utensils that were needed if you wanted to cook. Rooms were very spacious and staff was very nice. Highly recommend! Will definitely be coming back again!

My new favorite hotel! Every single person on the staff was kind and helpful. The room was much larger than expected and had everything I needed. View from the balcony to watch the sunrise - amazing. The entire place was clean and, best of all, so quiet! The pool area was lovely with a great view of the beach. The crowd was very laid back and friendly. The beach access was top notch and not crowded like Daytona. I am a local living in central Florida and I will absolutely be back. Thank you for one of the best trips I’ve had in years!

The only issue was the fry pan for the room was way too large for the burners. Room was big and spacious and clean. Couch was brand new. Perfect stay. The only bad thing was the bathroom had a slide window but it was only a screen or no window without a lock on window. The window was high up and did work out but I like a lock.

Great option for a beach view, no frills, clean stay near Daytona at a great price! We were in town for Cheer Nationals and this place met our needs. We typically stay at Marriott properties so we hold the bar high as to what we expect.

High points- oceanfront room with great views, pool area is very clean with ample seating/grilling area/and a great layout. The hot tubs and fire pit areas were clean and inviting. Free parking, small gym, and beachfront access. Each room has a small kitchen with everything you would need including full size fridge.

Areas for improvement- check in was a bit disorganized but you can see they are working out the kinks. There is no coffee in the lobby and to me this a big thing that would elevate the experience. The rooms have just opened after renovations and they are working through that process- one of the tvs in our room didnt work, not a huge deal but we would have liked to watch that one evening we were there.

If you can get this place for a good price I would not hesitate to book again. Price point was defiitely better going through expedia.

We were supposed to check in at 4, and walked in at 5:30 and older woman said “your rooms not done, not sure when it will be.” Then proceeded to just sit in her chair and give us no update or anything.

Elevators are very old and sketchy. Laundry was down. The lobby area smelled terrible because something leaked while we were there.

Other than a beautiful pool area, definitely not a hotel to bring children to.

No room cleaning while staring,staff ok, beach view good, ac not working had to replace it, hot tub had baby’s in it with diapers on and was used like a kidded pool, had to closed for 24hour, they should be restricted to 12 and older to keep safe for guests . Still under construction guest should be aware about that.

Beach in front of the maverick is never crowded compared to others, massive pool was never crowed, huge pool deck and patio, fire pit and 4 commercial BBQs to make your own meals was great. Hot tub was large and there was a kiddy pool. 5 mins from Daytona beach attractions. The rooms are good. Sometimes they may smell a little different from the previous guest. Overall the rooms are a 3.5/5. But they have been updated. Hotel seems to be booked 50/50 by families with kids and retirees. Overall our family had a great time.

Great place to stay for the week. Kitchen was great and enabled us to make a few meals at home instead of go out all the time. No oven though. It was fine without it. Our fridge didn’t work and they came right up with a brand new one. Check in was great! Easy and quick. The 2nd shift desk lady was very rude multiple times on multiple days. We will be back to see the upgrades. Would be nice to have a bar by the pool. See you again!!

The room was just as pictured. The views were amazing. The property pool was heated and they have a nice hot tub. Unfortunately it had rained the entire second day we were there, and it never really heated back up before we left. But they kept the property clean and well maintained. I saw the pool guys there cleaning three times on our stay (could have been more). If I am back in Ormond beach again, I'll book with The Maverick Resort again!

*One down side was ONE very unpleasant night desk lady, who worked our last evening there; when asked for assistance, she seemed irritated and bothered to have to do something. EVERYONE else was very pleasant!

This place was fully equipped for a vacation. The view was amazing—I would even say priceless. The space was very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to cook a full meal. They provided forks, plates, pots, and pans—you just have to bring your own food. The bed was comfortable as well.

The only thing that could use improvement is the living room furniture. The couch feels outdated and could use an upgrade. Aside from that, everything else was very nice. The staff was very friendly—definitely an experience I won’t forget.

There were a lot of great things about this property and a few things I would like to see changed if I came back again.

Pros:
View: all the rooms have an ocean view and the balcony views were amazing!

Grill: there is an amazing grilling station on the patio /pool area that was great! 4 grills, so there was always space to cook dinner. Just know you can ask the front desk for bbq accessories, they just weren’t in the room.

Pool:/beach: great! Lots of Loungers and you can ask front desk for chair and umbrella for beach if you would like.

Kitchenette: was nice to have full fridge/freezer, sink , microwave and stove. Loved it.

Staff: was very friendly. Helpful and always ready to help when needed.

Parking: Was free and abundant.

Cons:

Rooms: •The floors were SO dirty when we checked in. We had dirt and sand caked on our feet as we walked through. Everything else was clean, however.
•Was weird to have a living room with no coffee table. This was would have been nice to have.
•Our room smelled SO bad. Very strong of musty smell combined with paint? Not sure ... But it was very off putting. We stopped into someone else’s room and it didn’t smell bad, so not sure what was going on with ours.

Hottub: was cold. Same temp as pool. Not sure if it was just not working , or if it every gets warm.

Got calls everyday to go to a timeshare meeting. Just be aware.

There were no pots, pans, toaster or hairdryer as stated in description.!The reason that we chose this resort was because of the full kitchen and ability to cook which wasn’t available to us. We asked for these items at the front desk they stated that they would find and bring to us which they never did. We were told by front desk staff that the resort wasn’t ready to be open yet. The bed and the sofa were very uncomfortable making it very hard to sleep.

Beautiful view of the ocean right from the bedroom area. We went during the freeze that came a couple months back, so we didn't get any beach time in, unfortunately... It looked beautiful.
The hotel was extremely clean, no bad smell, and the room had a super cute set up with the kitchenette, living area & bedroom
Check in was simple, quick and just as easy to check out.
Two smart TVs were included in our room & we were able to set up our own game system. I saw a review stating they didn't have smart TVs, so I definitely wanted to include that.

We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful view and recent refurbishment was nice, however elevator and water problems both requiring maintenance during our stay, caused inconvenience to customers. Room wasn’t clean especially floor and baseboards. I cleaned it myself after approaching front desk staff with another question and feeling like I was being a bother. On my last day, one elevator was down, and I got stuck in the other one.
They were only allowing the top floors and with a service animal it was a task to go to the bathroom.
The room was nice, unique.

Beautiful ocean views!! Our room was neat and clean. It had everything we needed. The front desk staff were sufficient but could be more warm and welcoming. Overall we loved our stay and hope to come again.

Pretty nice beachfront room, with unobstructed views to the ocean. Pool area was well kept, and access to common spaces was good. One of 3 elevators was out of service. Updating of rooms on floors 2-4 is ongoing. I’d stay here again.

We were there for bike week and had a great view of the beach, the room looked like the picture on website and we had a motorcycle only parking lot.

BUT... our floors in our room were dirty and the sheets on the bed were dirty. When we reported to the front desk twice, we were dismissed and then told we could pay $75 for housekeeping. We told the front a 3x, and that night manager gave us a sheet to replace on the bed. When we took the dirty sheet to the front desk in the morning she told us to take it to the laundry room ourselves, which we did not, left it with her and she threw it on the lobby floor. The elevators were unpredictable and one was out of order at one time - we were on the 7th floor and another hotel guest said that the stairwells were blocked off. We did not attempt that.

Location and room was great but we did not find it hospitable. If you select this hotel, I hope they do better for you.

We had the oceanfront deluxe balcony for four adults, which was perfect liked the sliding door that could separate the two areas however, I would say the biggest problem was the staff at the front desk. We separately all engaged with three different staff members-maybe because it was bike week they were tired, but so were we and they were not welcoming or very friendly or accommodating. An example was we arrived about an hour prior to check-in and asked if that we could just leave our duffel bags from our motorcycles in an area out of the way until our room was ready. You would’ve thought we were asking to put them in a bank vault. Those properties have some sort of an area where you can at least put your luggage or whatever temporarily. We even saw some other guests being asked to move their car from the front lobby area when their wives were trying to check in and the way that the front desk spoke to the guest was very rude.
I would say the hotel is in a great location although we didn’t use it. It looks like a great pool area. It appeared all the restaurants were closed.

Fix or replace the elevators!

Replace the desk clerk that worked Saturday morning March 7.

The best part of your staff is the cleaning crew.

Many thanks to the fire department for getting me out of the failed/stuck elevator.

The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY!.Room was super clean. There was some maintenance going on in other rooms but it didnt create any issues. The room was so quiet that I didnt even know there were people nexr door. The balcony was a bit small but more than enough for me and my friend. It was an amazing experience in a great location and I'd most definitely come back
