My room had roaches one of the clerks said that they were gonna send the maintenance to spray our room in the morning. She never did. They charged my card $861 05 days before I arrived they were supposed to charge my card when I got there! The guy at the front desk was very intimidating when I asked him if that was normal for them to charge me that early he said yes, and that the owner of the property was from South Africa, which was still absolutely unexcused the housekeeper never came and cleaned our room until the last day that we were there, which was Friday. When I asked the staff about getting charged early about the cockroaches, which I have videos of they have roaches underneath the drawer under the induction board, which is where you cook literally and roaches crawling down the curtain at the front window. The Wi-Fi cut in and out the entire time. The weather was bad. This trip was just very mediocre to be in Daytona for an entire week. It felt like a waste of money and I forgot to mention when sweeping the room, we found a half of a pill that my children I had two small children with me, could’ve picked up and eaten thinking that it was candy. It was a pink pill cut in half.

Ocean view was great but overall the hotel wasn’t. It was more like a motel. You have to ask for clean towels and more coffee. The parking area is uncomfortable and the staff in the lobby weren’t too friendly. Won’t use this one again. It has a cute name for what it is.

Everything! I arrived at the site after 8 pm and found it was impossible to check in to my room. There was no one to answer the on site phone and no one answered or responded to my voice mail on an emergency phone number that I found clipped on the back door. (The note was removed the next day and never replaced) After paying a second hotel for my first night in Ormond Beach, I did check in the next day. None of the staff asked why I didn’t stay the first night. None cared. The room smelled - my wife and couldn’t agree on how to describe the smell but it wasn’t a clean fresh smell. Towels were old and past their prime. Their towel policy is bring them a dirty towel and they would swap it for a clean one (just as mediocre as the dirty, just washed more recently). I asked a staff member how to get clean towels and she did not volunteer to bring any to use. We were supposed to stay a week and the staff did not enter the room for any reason during our stay. I guess the highlight of the stay was that our rental car wasn’t broken into. We had enough and left a day early. When I went to let a staff member know we were leaving early (11:30 am Sunday) the office door was locked. A guy showed up & I told him we were checking out early and he didn’t ask why. Just another person who couldn’t have cared less. But they did keep the money I paid for 2 nights in the room that we didn’t use, 1st because I couldn’t, last night cause we stayed at a real hotel. Never again for the Chateaux.

Easy check-in. BUT rooms not fully prepared! No toilet paper or tissues in room at check-in. Had to return to desk for supplies. Discovered no TV remote 1st night and unable to get one until next day. Discovered coffee maker missing holder for coffee pod 1st morning. Beds are FOAM MATTRESS, not very supportive! NOT REALLY HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE (could be roll-in shower but no handheld shower head, no bath bench, no toilet grab bar, toilet wedged between glass shower enclosure and sink, no easily accessible outlets...hidden behind dresser and headboard). Called office to install extension cords behind dresser and headboard which they did immediately; also provided plastic porch chair for shower.

old wore out room . no dresser to put my clothes in ..2 clothes hangers , no chair no couch one little tiny night stand with no drawers. floor was dirty . a proffessional clean once a year would help.. and maybe use bleach to clean the mold .. no usb outlets..room had a funky moldy smell. there was a strong wind so i left the windows open for about an hour and that helped with the smell.. so the staff could air the dam rooms out ya think.. it did look like a blind handyman made an attempt to update the shower tile to a more modern look but i could have done a better job. u get like 2 napkins to clean up with.. to use the stove you have to a drawer open to plug it in.. totally basic stuff for a low level handyman or maintenance person to fix in less then five minutes with proper tools.

Location is ideal. We had a room overlooking the ocean.
Beach was a stones throw from the hotel. The room itself could use a refresh.
I also got a room for family and the AC was out of order, which made their room quite musty.
Staff was pleasant and accommodating.
All in all, if you would like a place to rest your head close to the beach, this is it.

First of all, it should be listed as a MOTEL!!!!!!
We booked the room through Expedia, where it is listed as a 4 star hotel (that's a shame for Expedia for misleading us). First room they gave us, it smelled REALLY bad and the bed was shabby. You could tell that the bad was not even made after the previous stay. I went to the reception and they upgraded us to one of their \"Best rooms\", next to the pool. The room still had a moldy smell but at least the bed was \"clean\". One of the air conditioners had a huge hole near the wall so we had to put lots of paper towel to cover it. The bathroom door had a poorly covered hole that you could tell it was from a punch. After the sunset, outside it was pitch black so I went to the reception desk to ask them to turn the lights on. To my surprise, the office was closed, lights off with the \"no vacancy\" sign on. But I could tell that no more that 5 rooms were booked in the whole place. I drove to get a pizza to eat it in the room because we were afraid to leave all our stuff in the room and go out to eat. We barricaded ourselves in the room and waited for the night to pass.

The room was excellent, not perfect, but well made and very clean. The bed was awesome, and the pillows were great! We had a full size refrigerator in our room, and the ocean view was amazing! The staff were very nice, and they were constantly cleaning the whole area and building. You can tell they take pride in their hotel. The beach was amazing even with some rainy days. Definitely would go back! There were only a couple of issues, nothing major. Our bathroom window did not lock, but we were on the second floor so not a huge deal. Also the blinds on the front windows had a broken section so we covered it. Other than that it was great!

Hotel is a bit dated but room was clean and very large! Room has a separate kitchen which was nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. Only one set of towels, no big deal, I always bring our own. Parking was chaos coming in late at night from the Daytona race, but knew it would be and planned for it. View of ocean is gorgeous! For the money paid, will definitely stay again!

Staff were great! Super sweet! However, rooms were very dirty. I had a blood stain in my bed, my families member room had a sink with no drain pipes and roaches, another families room also had roaches! Showers in the rooms were scary! It was one night! So I survived! If you don’t care about cleanliness, then one night is ok!

The property is very convenient to restaurants and love that you could walk right out onto the beach from the pool area. However the pool area/pool water wasn’t very clean. Our room was semi clean, the comforter had a stain on it, all the bathroom towels where stained or not clean, and the bathroom door had holes in it from where someone either feel into or punished it.

We had a balcony room. Loved being able to see threw to sets of windows. The room was very spacious. There was no blackout curtain on the balcony slider door and the room still was being worked on couldn't use the kitchen sink we liked the full refrigerator The door was hard to open & close it kept sticking. The pool was great. The staff is very cool. The room is really nice. I stayed a week the price was very cheap for this area. I asked for staff to just clean the floor for me, they literally did my dishes for me. I forgot dish soap I did not expect them to do full cleaning, bed was already done. My kids want to live there. We love it. We go to Florida every year. This is where a will stay next year!

Great place to stay for the price. Right on the beach, pool area is great. Rooms are a bit outdated, but clean. Unfortunately, salty air ruins metal quickly. Overall, great place to stay and we will stay again.

Was given a room but it wasn’t made up. They switched room but not what I booked was able to move to the correct room the next day. Elevator was broken down. Pool was closed for cleaning. Overheard the pool guy tell a guest it was unsafe to swim in but they had opened it back up and other guest were in it. Basically just a rundown dirty moldy place. Not like the pictures on Expedia.

The ocean view was beautiful, but the service it self was a mess i called the hotel 4 or 5 times no one ever answered and its like a cell phone number, the hair dryer in the bathroom doesnt work the sink in the kitchenette wasnt hooked up at the bottom so there was no water it was like it was just put inn and left un finished at 5 am in the morning someone in the parking lot set off a load fire works but theres no security ,i stayed for 3 days and house keeping never came to the room to make up the beds or give fresh towels or take trash out i had to do it i would recommend they do a update also on the lamp shades as well rusted out
