Really pleased with the cleanliness of the bedroom area and comfort of the bed. The headboard lightning provides excellent illumination for the space. Good Internet coverage. Fairly large fridge. AC was on point. Loved the enormous window view of the beach.

Some minor issues in the bathroom. Hair strands wrapped around the hair dryer, some areas of mildew in shower grout, exhaust fan grill dust covered. The pop up stopper didn't seal the sink.

PLEASE lift your foot high when stepping into the walk-in shower. The tile plus the shower door frame rises about 6 inches from the floor. If you're shuffling your feet you WILL stub your toe.

Overall, a decent value where it mattered

We spent a week at Chateau Mar! It was our second trip. We love the oceanfront efficiency, the room is large, the beds are very comfortable ,and has a private balcony,as well as a seating area on the side. The kitchen had been upgraded with utensils, coffee maker,etc. Management had changed since our last trip and the room had been updated, with more renovations being done in the pool area.
While we did run into an issue while there, staff took good care of us . We look forward to returning next year.

I have been coming to the property for several years now but it was different this year. They told me they were under new management and can no longer park 2nd vehicle even if space was available. Coffee machine in lobby, only real extra amenity, Broken. Stove top in room did not work. No longer full size fridge in the room. They had no towels for the rooms. Went to laundry multiple times and every time, no towels. It is on the beach and descent location but new management is worse than the old management. For me it’s no longer worth it.

Overall, we were happy with our experience. I will accredit that to the beach view and ease of access to the beach and pool. The room was cool and the bed was clean. There was no tv guide. There were several things that appeared neglected. The actual cleanliness overall seemed to be just a clean surface but the room looks like it truly needs a deep cleaning. The grout in the bathroom and baseboards were yucky. The floor was still damp from being mopped when we arrived. The refrigerator was not cold, my husband had to jiggle the plug to get it to work. The microwave had to be moved in order to use it because it did not reach the outlet. When taking a shower, the exhaust fan did not work so my husband took the fan off to figure out what was going on and he found that the plug was not connected. The door had to really be slammed in order to ensure that it was closed- this made us the most nervous due to having small children with us. Near the pool they had a broken bench that has not been removed and then a whole area that was coned off. For the price we paid, I feel that the memories we made were worth it. I do feel that they need to do some deep cleaning.

Room was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in, staff excellent. Only complaint I have is that we when we returned to our room and stepped off the elevator on the third floor it was very dark, no lights anywhere between elevator and our room (305). Had elderly mother with us so it made her walking unsafe even with the flashlight from my phone.
Hopefully this is something being worked on.

Great to be on a property right next to the ocean. However, balconies are NOT private! The balcony is the hallway that communicates all the rooms and you have guests walk in front of you at all times looking into your room! The statement “Guest enjoying the views from PRIVATE balconies” is misleading and not true! This needs to be clarified on ad. Thank you.

Easy check in easy parking , great view cold ac . Only a few issues , we travel A LOT and we leave honest reviews. This is a good place just keep working on your exterior. The bathroom had poop on the seat and hair and dirt thru out. That was the only issue. Yes it’s an older property with great room for potential . But house keeping has to do a little better on the bathrooms. Or pay your house keeper more to do a better job not some lousy 13$ an hour or whatever you pay em it can’t be much . Overall it’s a good place and easy to go to stores around and food. We thanked the front desk clerk and didn’t complain. Will go back in future if we can for sure just for the view and closeness to beach and pool. Keep working on your property people will come back ! Thanks so much McKenzie and will.

The room was clean for the most part except for mold on the a/c unit and some floor cracks and random things. If you want a decent but outdated sort of room for a cheaper rate than other hotels then this is your place. They definitely need to do more preventative maintenance though as well because our automatic door keypad decided to not work 3x before complety giving out on us. While they were inspecting and diagnosing our door keypad, my 16 month old toddler was barely touching the wall next to the closet when the 4 inch thick, couple feet tall wooden trim came flying off at her and she could have been really hurt. I didn't appreciate some of these things along with having to be inconvenienced and moved in the middle of our stay with 2 little kids to an entirely new room and never being offered any discount back, perk, or something. I mean for heaven sake I never even received an apology from the staff for well overdue negligence. I also think it's quite ironically comical that they have signs stating \"no drugs on premises\" and yet the entire establishment has an overpowering marijuana smell. I don't mind that adults want to partake in that in their free time but the hotel either needs to enforce their signs or remove them or they need to become an adult only hotel- not for families. So, think what you want about my review but I probably won't be back.

Just spent a week here for Rockville. Very clean and friendly staff. The room is kept at a tepid temperature you can't really control. I recommend bringing a fan. But for a budget hotel it gets 5 stars especially because of the view and ease of getting to the beach. Parking is limited but thats not uncommon for a smal beachfront hotel but they did have a space for everyone to have one spot. The kitchen was stocked and had a small table. The room was a good size and the bathroom was clean. There are 2 chairs and a table outside the room and there’s a wall between you and your neighbor’s doorway, so you get balcony-style privacy right outside your door. It’s perfect for sitting in the provided chairs and watching the sunset. Honestly for the price its a definite stay again.

The second day we were there we lost power for more than 13 hours . Everything we had the freezer and fridge ruined .we were not offered any candles or flashlight. Only thing the staff could tell us was nothing it was absolutely joke. I ask what they were doing to compensate for those hours and the groceries lost .said they they were talking to owners only for them to never told us a thing . For $1050 i will not be staying there again i promise you .oh btw we stayed 5 days and house keeping never came once and when i asked about they said they come every 3 days . No extra trash bags in the rooms .

My room had roaches one of the clerks said that they were gonna send the maintenance to spray our room in the morning. She never did. They charged my card $861 05 days before I arrived they were supposed to charge my card when I got there! The guy at the front desk was very intimidating when I asked him if that was normal for them to charge me that early he said yes, and that the owner of the property was from South Africa, which was still absolutely unexcused the housekeeper never came and cleaned our room until the last day that we were there, which was Friday. When I asked the staff about getting charged early about the cockroaches, which I have videos of they have roaches underneath the drawer under the induction board, which is where you cook literally and roaches crawling down the curtain at the front window. The Wi-Fi cut in and out the entire time. The weather was bad. This trip was just very mediocre to be in Daytona for an entire week. It felt like a waste of money and I forgot to mention when sweeping the room, we found a half of a pill that my children I had two small children with me, could’ve picked up and eaten thinking that it was candy. It was a pink pill cut in half.

Everything! I arrived at the site after 8 pm and found it was impossible to check in to my room. There was no one to answer the on site phone and no one answered or responded to my voice mail on an emergency phone number that I found clipped on the back door. (The note was removed the next day and never replaced) After paying a second hotel for my first night in Ormond Beach, I did check in the next day. None of the staff asked why I didn’t stay the first night. None cared. The room smelled - my wife and couldn’t agree on how to describe the smell but it wasn’t a clean fresh smell. Towels were old and past their prime. Their towel policy is bring them a dirty towel and they would swap it for a clean one (just as mediocre as the dirty, just washed more recently). I asked a staff member how to get clean towels and she did not volunteer to bring any to use. We were supposed to stay a week and the staff did not enter the room for any reason during our stay. I guess the highlight of the stay was that our rental car wasn’t broken into. We had enough and left a day early. When I went to let a staff member know we were leaving early (11:30 am Sunday) the office door was locked. A guy showed up & I told him we were checking out early and he didn’t ask why. Just another person who couldn’t have cared less. But they did keep the money I paid for 2 nights in the room that we didn’t use, 1st because I couldn’t, last night cause we stayed at a real hotel. Never again for the Chateaux.

Easy check-in. BUT rooms not fully prepared! No toilet paper or tissues in room at check-in. Had to return to desk for supplies. Discovered no TV remote 1st night and unable to get one until next day. Discovered coffee maker missing holder for coffee pod 1st morning. Beds are FOAM MATTRESS, not very supportive! NOT REALLY HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE (could be roll-in shower but no handheld shower head, no bath bench, no toilet grab bar, toilet wedged between glass shower enclosure and sink, no easily accessible outlets...hidden behind dresser and headboard). Called office to install extension cords behind dresser and headboard which they did immediately; also provided plastic porch chair for shower.

old wore out room . no dresser to put my clothes in ..2 clothes hangers , no chair no couch one little tiny night stand with no drawers. floor was dirty . a proffessional clean once a year would help.. and maybe use bleach to clean the mold .. no usb outlets..room had a funky moldy smell. there was a strong wind so i left the windows open for about an hour and that helped with the smell.. so the staff could air the dam rooms out ya think.. it did look like a blind handyman made an attempt to update the shower tile to a more modern look but i could have done a better job. u get like 2 napkins to clean up with.. to use the stove you have to a drawer open to plug it in.. totally basic stuff for a low level handyman or maintenance person to fix in less then five minutes with proper tools.

Location is ideal. We had a room overlooking the ocean.
Beach was a stones throw from the hotel. The room itself could use a refresh.
I also got a room for family and the AC was out of order, which made their room quite musty.
Staff was pleasant and accommodating.
All in all, if you would like a place to rest your head close to the beach, this is it.
