Will not book again. Reserved and paid for an ocean view 2 bedroom 6 months in advance and got shafted to a parking lot view and was told sorry about your luck. The bathtubs in both bathrooms were peeling real bad to the point that the paint was clogging the drains while showering. Found several roaches crawling around. The 1 elevator they have was out of service the first full day there for a couple hours so we had to take the stairs, then the power went out for about 12 hours the next day after I just spent $160 on food and drinks in the refrigerator. Maybe not their fault but still a bad experience. Over all the place is old and run down and the staff doesn’t seem to give a rats ass. Terrible stay. Do not recommend unless you’re on a budget.

I like that the property was right on the beach. Literally just steps away. However, cleanliness was an issue in our room. The shower pressure was great but the water did not stay hot for long. There was water dripping from the ceiling air vent and there were small bugs found inside the space.

My husband and I were here for our anniversary and a family dinner on Saturday. Our stay was wonderful. The room was extremely clean, and the kitchen had everything. We loved the view, and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach while we drank our coffee on the balcony. We will definitely be back!

Clean, quiet place to stay. 1st time to Ormond beach - we were looking for a place on the beach in March to avoid the spring break crowd and this delivered. We are beach people and wanted a place to relax at beach all day and easily return to room as needed. Photos were accurate. Parking secure. Kitchen equipped with all basics needed. Pool area was clean and offered games and grill if you wanted. Management was helpful.
Ormond beach seemed older to us but safe for a mom and daughter. Not a lot within walking distance but a quick 5 minute drive in the car offered grocery stores, shopping and restaurants.
Would recommend if you are looking for low key economical get away.

Asked if could get upper floor with balcony. Was denied. Appeared to be rooms available during our stay. Luckily was not to busy so not a real problem. Also confronted upon going to room at check in about Listening to a presentation about the time share. Declined but person was not happy and said "how does that help me". Know everyone has a job to do but did not appreciate how he responded. Was not confronted after that. Over all great place to stay and would definitely stay again

Thorough honest review. Great place and value. Our unit, seemed to be recently updated, with the exception of the tub. Beautiful cabinets in the kitchen, higher end appliances, new sleeper sofa. This unit has a designated bedroom. Lots of storage space which includes a closet and dresser. A small tv in the bedroom, but suits the need. Decent sized balcony with 2 chairs and a table overlooking the Atlantic. Staff was very friendly. Property has gas grills, which is a nice touch if traveling with a family. Fully stocked kitchen, as well. Pool is quite small for the number of units, but well kept. They also have shuffle board, corn hole, ping pong, fire pit and a hammock on the multiple sun decks. Parking is underground, which is nice to avoid seaspray on your vehicle, if staying for any length of time. PLENTY of luggage carts, which I find so many places I stay at lack. AND...they are in great condition. They are located where you park. I like that you need a key to come up from the beach, to avoid non-guests, from coming in from the beach to use the pool etc. Tiny negatives, our tub didn't match the rest of the updated unit. Very old and battered. Maybe it's next on the update list. But, the hot water was amazing!! Down in the lobby, they have a basket with some snacks to purchase. My husband and I went down for a late night snack, but it was after hours and found out they only took cash and they don't have an ATM. Overall, great stay. Will return.

Despite having a no pet policy there was a very distinct cat urine smell in the bedroom of our rental. We purchased glade scent diffusers to mask the odors. The bedroom is at the entrance of the unit and you can hear everyone coming off the elevator and entering their condos. The bright side of our stay was a truly gorgeous view from the living room area and balcony. Location is good, the pool deck and outdoor area is nice and clean. Beach ramp is brand new.

We have stayed in Ormond Beach many times but this was our first time at Tropic Sun Towers. We will definitely stay again. The unit was clean and comfortable. It was stocked with everything you would need. We ate in for some meals and had all the kitchen utensils needed. The balcony over looking the pool and ocean was lovely. The pool and deck area had plenty of chairs. What set this apart from other places I e stayed was the underground parking. I never had to look for a spot or squeeze into a spot that made me worry about my car getting damaged. I also appreciated that my car was not in the blazing hot sun. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

Loved that this place had two private bedrooms and two bathrooms, unlike most places that have one large bedroom and bath. Location was excellent, as our unit had a view of the ocean and a balcony. Check-in was simple and an underground parking was a nice perk, although the neighborhood seemed great. Did not get to use the pool based on weather but everything about this place was stellar. Great little stay within an easy drive of Orlando and even easier drive to Daytona, two bed suite was perfect for what we needed, the front desk staff were friendly and kind, the view of the ocean was incredible. Well worth the value for money, even if the hotel does look dated on the outside the rooms are good.

I like the property, wish there was fan in the individual rooms....drown out some outside noise. Toilet wasn't flushing normal, had to hold down handle. Shower was clean, but paint was peeling off tub....yes, it looked like paint. One dislike was the pressure to go to "timeshare" meeting. Wouldn't take No for an answer that I didn't want to go. If I knew this was that kind of property, I would of not had stayed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

When booking on hotels.com it says there is a pool and hot tub(spa) but the pool and hot tub are inoperable from the last hurricane. The rooms all appear to be ocean view and they’re not. The hotel did end up moving us after the first day to an oven front since that’s what we were under the impression we were booking but the lack of pool was disappointing. The ocean view rooms are 10x better so I highly recommend that but overall it was a nice place and I’d stay again

Also poor communication about the parking gate closing at night. The first night we pulled in and it opened as we pulled up to it, no problem. On the second night I got stuck unexpectedly having to back up a very dangerous, blind incline to go in and ask someone to open the gate.
