Firstly the manager on duty today at check out was not very friendly. A few days ago he wouldnt acknowledge a pay pass for breakfast. Communication was not the best. Secondly the manager at the bar on Thursday was very impolite and not friendly. The apartment was okay but they could do better with white nice towels not blue.

Mixed experience - Good location and staff but need improvements - Our stay at this residence unit was mostly as expected, with some positives but also a few issues that need attention.

The good: Great location, is conveniently situated, making it easy to explore the area. Friendly staff, they were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Areas for improvement: Uncomfortable beds, the mattresses were very bumpy, and any movement disturbed the other person. And, we found bed bugs. Poor hygiene, the pillows and towels had a strange smell, suggesting they were not properly cleaned, the 2 bedrooms were very hot even we turned on the AC. No AC at the lobby as well, the main door was always wide open, even the lifts were hot.

We hope management takes action to improve these aspects for future guests.

Such a great property in a very convenient location for shopping and dining. The room was large and comfortable. All the staff were professional and helpful especially our Housekeeper Hussin who was so friendly and did such a great job. Breakfast was good. Would recommend to others and would stay here again.

We stayed at the dorsett residences and the apartment were pretty average, nothing like 4 star to be honest.
We booked our breakfast as well during our stay, although the breakfast menu/options were not too bad but the condition of the chair uphostery in the checkers cafe were terrible. I was hesitant to sit on them whenever I used to go there for breakfast. They looked like never been cleaned having layer of dirt and stains all over. Can't expect this from a 3-4 star hotel. Even a road side hawker place may have better chair condition than checkers cafe.
Sincere request to hotel management to atleast keep the chairs clean so that guest can enjoy their breakfast without getting disgusted.

Great Stay minus KLCC Twin Tower View

Location is fantastic ; 5-minutes walk to Pavilion KL mall and 10-minutes walk to TRX mall.

We booked the 2-bedroom (1-Queen + 2-Twin Beds) and was allocated room with bath tub.

Unfortunately, the published room with view of KLCC Twin Towers is no longer valid as the said view has been blocked by other buildings !!

Even the Twin Tower view is blocked at Level 30 (Swimming Pool) ; refer to the attached photos.

Fortunately, we have world class hospitality extended by Mr. Din ; we were offered rooms with City view which were not taken up eventually.

The hot breakfast served is good and wide spread. We like the Malay Nasi Lemak, Chinese porridge, and many … no complaint except we thought it will be good that they swop the food menu daily.

Overall stay experience is good but we will likely next stay at a premise with good night view of the iconic Twin Tower.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which had 2 toilets/baths. The lounge was spacious, kitchen facilities sufficient. Apartment also had an oven and clothes washer/dryer. It is right next to the Dorsett hotel but separate. No reception or office staff in the Residences building other than a security guard so all communication, check in/check etc., out had to be done at the hotel side.
Overall the Dorsett Residences BB is worth its money!

We stayed 8 nights in a 2 Bedroom Premium Suite which was serviced daily by housekeeper Hussin. He was very good, very attentive, checking if everything was ok I was extremely pleased with his service and happy personality.

Our room included 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one kitchen and one lounge room.
I especially liked the washer/dryer in the suite for my long stay.
All rooms had a city view. The best is the bathroom city view.

Two televisions -nice. Full kitchen, utensils, crockery with microwave and hotplate.

We tried the buffet breakfast RM45 per person. Good selection of all foods, something for everyone.

I took a swim in the pool -so nice. Open 7am-9pm daily.

Location is a few minutes walk to main tourist shopping -Pavillion, Lot 10, Sungei Wang Plaza, Times Square, Lala Port and TRX Exchange.

I would definitely book this hotel again.

Checked in and we had the booked in the residence's which according to the hotel are privately owned suites that are given to the hotel to rent out. As soon as we got there, we realized that the property was quite dirty. With stains on all furniture, dirty bathrooms, and beds that give you a beating all night. Tried calling the front desk with no answer. Stayed one night but will it be back.
Hope fully Expedia can do something about what we paid cause this was not an ok stay.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Dorsett Residences in Kuala Lumpur. The staff were very kind and helpful and the property itself was beautiful. The amenities were wonderful. The views were great. When we arrived to check in, we were told our booking was cancelled! It took 3 days to sort it out! Had to pay for the first nights accommodation as they couldn’t find the booking. We have been reimbursed for this payment but we had a very stressful few days trying to sort the situation out 3 times a day with different staff members.

Good price performance in Bukit Bintang. Clean, comfortable, and good location (just a short, slightly uphill walk and you're at Pavilion Mall). One note, the view of the Towers from the pool on most websites is no longer - new buildings obscure much of, but not all, the view. Still nice pool just not as good of a view. Only downside was front desk staff was zero help getting a taxi when we were leaving - just said call Grab, which we had already done. No list of taxi companies or suggestions on where there might be a taxi stand. The man just said, \"well, they sometimes drive by.\"

Due to their new system per say, the comm between their hospitality dept (room service) and front desk was not very smooth. Waited for our room to be ready for almost an hour. At their new building. We were given an upgraded to suite room ( most exclusive and for VVIP) instead at the old building but was very disappointed. Think the room was vacant for too long that we experienced some unexpected encounters at the room. My wife and I both don’t feel good. We decided to checkout immediately. Thankfully they didn’t not billed us. Instead they waived it and apologised for the inconvenience caused. We managed to get another hotel nearby.

The apartment was very dark, with windows only in the bedrooms, but no windows in the living room or dining room or kitchen. Also, the tiled floor and wooden chairs meant that there was CONSTANT scraping - all day and all night you could hear people scraping their chairs. We had to leave early and check in to a hotel, as we didn't get one good night sleep.

Came to the room and was greeted with 3 baby roaches at the kitchenette. Unfortunately, didnt read the reviews before coming as a relative put word that the place was fine during their stay. Baby roaches just keep appearing after some point. You can tell the furnitures were not properly maintained as there were stains on the sofa, bedsheets and towels. Meanwhile the shower, while you put it to hot, the water keep changing from hot>cold>hot>all the way cold.

What did i like?
Dorsett Residences - great view from the infinity pool and its on the 30th floor with .unit wasfantastic although i think in 2022, you should already have a smart tv with Netflix.

What i didnt like?
Upon arrival my unit was not ready this was post 3pm. Then they wanted to so call upgrade me to the hotel which i agreed to. The Dorsett Hotel room is pretty run down. Spotted a roach in the room then immediately asked if my initial unit that i booked is ready or not but they unfortunately said itll be ready the next day only. Asked for a wine glass and the guy who answered my call just said that it is ramadan time and our staffs are busy handling a buka puasa event. Upon stressing on how can you say that to an in house guest then he mentioned will try to get someone to provide the glass. Wanted to order dinner and he mentioned our restaurants are only for buka puasa reservations which need to reserve earlier. This was not mentioned on the site. Best part he did not even apologize for the inconvenience caused. The pool at the hotel was also closed for maintenance

The Dorsett Residences is 10x better than the hotel. Although they need to do something about the smell that always comes out from the toilet room.

Guards are pretty unwelcoming as well. One of the days from my stay i went out late night and came back to know the parking was full. Upon asking where else to park then he just dont know go and ask the reception which then i had to park the car at an

Disappointment & Disaster Guaranteed

It was a disaster from the moment we enter the property:

- Despite standard Check-In time at 3pm, the room was not ready until 5pm. We were asked to wait at lobby.

- The lobby was hot and like without air-conditioning system. The hotel use fan to blow and hot air was circulated as the lobby main entrance were wide opened.

- Apartment door and door lock malfunction. First, the door lock was malfunction when we checked in. Coincidently a house-keeper passed by and she used her key to force open for us. Then we found the door was stuck and hard to open & close. It needs very strong push (or kicks sometimes) to force open and close it as it was stuck with the door frame somehow. Found some break-in marks on the door and the housekeeper promised to send maintenance for immediate repairs. Unfortunately, never turn up at all after many hours.

- When we tried to contact the receptionist for the door repair using the apartment's phone, nobody pick up the call after more than 10 trials. Can't imagine if emergency occurred.

- Extremely limited car park space and you'll probably don't get a car park at most of the time. Yet, you'll still need to pay for it, not free parking. The security guard can't speak English or Malay well, communication breakdown.

- Both receptionist and maintenance promised to repair the door or change room but never happen.

- Shower gel canister at toilet was empty and not refill the next day.

- Limited choice on breakfast buffet menu.

When we arrived, Dorsett front desk mentioned that we haven't made any payment despite the fact that we showed them an email from Expedia (including the receipt and credit card statement). I have to call Expedia 3 times as the line kept on getting cut off using my IDD/roaming as i booked it through Expedia SG.

We had to wait for over an hour before we can actually check in. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Disappointment Stay at Dorsett Hotel

I booked and prepaid a 2 Bedroom Premier Suite (Queen+Twin) at Dorsett Residence on 11 March for my stay on 15-17 June (2 nights). Vivian (front desk at Dorsett Hotel) processed our check-in. Upon entering our Suite, found out that we were given a Queen+Single Suite. I rang the front desk and was told that the Suite that I had booked was fully booked. It was ridiculous and poorly managed reservation system! And Vivian did not tell us this during the check-in. I was given 2 options; either accept an extra bed in the living room (the Single Room can only fit 1 single bed) or transfer to a King Suite connecting to a Twin Room at Dorsett Hotel. The manager (a Malay guy) assured that it is an upgraded deal as King Suite (RM500+) and Twin Room (RM300+) is more expensive than the 2BR Premier Suite. The King Suite is very old, torn and stained sofa, torn shower screen rubber and both rooms have horrible view (facing the dump site/ pond). It was an utter disappointment! We had to queue for a table for breakfast on both days and the breakfast area is very chaotic, no refill of food from 10am though breakfast is till 10.30. The swimming pool and gym are boring and the carpark is very narrow especially the turning point. We were very disappointed as we never get the chance to stay at the 2BR Premier Suite with nice pool overlooking the twin tower, gym and updated rooms though we booked and prepaid 3 months earlier. I will not stay or recommend Dorsett Hotel KL to anyone.

We paid for two bedroom apartment in Dorsett Residence for 4 nights. I was on late check in that night and very disappointing that the first night they not manage to provide me the apartment I booked and offered me a night to stay at Dorsett Hotel instead. However, the so called “executive suite” that provided to me and family on the first night was not clean in condition, very dusty and the shower head and hose are broken. These were not a pleasant experience. While my stay with the Residence from second to last day was still ok.

Ideally located with a spacious room

The hotel is ideally located. A covered walkway links Pavillion to KLCC and this is only a 15 minute walk. The are around the residences has plenty of restaurants and the best shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur in The Pavillion. Easy to walk around - wide pavements. The train links are superb providing easy access to other neighbourhoods. The room was spacious with great views across the city. The kitchen was lacking in all utensils which we found a little annoying as we bought food in for the first evening and could not cut anything and ended up using our fingers. All the facilities are there for you and the washing machine is an added bonus should you be staying as part of a tour of Malaysia. The pool has the most amazing view and worth popping up at sunset. We took the breakfast - the hotel was booked to bursting as it was Chinese New Year and they were struggling to cope. A second floor was added to ease the burden but the service was lacking and the food choices was just basic. We only went for the first 2 mornings and for the rest of the stay we ate out. I am sure this was just due the celebrations in the city and they will adapt for next year.

I booked Dorsett Residences but was ask to park my big SUV car at Dorsett Hotel basement which is very narrow and when I do the booking I expect to park at the auto parking in Residences.
After speak to staff. They allow me to park but second day ask me to park basement again. Pissed me off. After speak to the staff ... the staff allow me to park again. Waste of time.
Shopping mall just behind the hotel which very convenient.
Buffet breakfast can be really crowded. Very limited seats. So if you wake up late, you need to Q.
Most of the staffs are friendly.
But abit regret staying there.

Unpleasant stay

Overall experience was not pleasant. The hotel staffs does not greet or smile at all throughout my 5d4n stays with them. My room come with breakfast. However, when I went down for breakfast during my first day, the restaurant staff turn me away and insisted that I have no breakfast and they just ignored me. They also gave me those disgusted look like as though I’m there to cheat for free breakfast. Ended up, I need to go down to the reception to clarify and after they clarify with hotel.com then they noticed that they have made a mistake. The room was big with bowls and plates including washing machine. However, there’s no cutleries and washing powder provided. The sound proof was bad and I could hear the pulling of chairs and traffic sound throughout my stays although I’m staying at level 13. The toilet/ bathroom perpetually has the sewage smell. Location was about 5-10 mins walk from pavilion mall. The hotel could only provide 1 access card to the main door and lift and 2 access cards to the room although my booking is for 4 pax. Hence, I always need to get my family to come down and fetch me if we walk separately. I will think twice before booking this hotel again.

Good but could be great

There was a bit of a mix up at check in. Not sure who was to blame but we were not initially given the room category we booked. Three room changes later and we finally settled in. Location is really good. Swimming pool on top floor is really great with brilliant views of twin towers. One area of significant improvement required - the breakfasts are really a joke. There is not enough space to handle the number of guests, and when they try to accommodate you in an overflow room it is a disaster. If they can get the breakfasts right it will make a big difference, if not then don’t bother with breakfast at hotel. Simply walk close by (less than 10min) to main malls and streets. Hotel is also close enough to Market Street and KLCC park where the Acquarium is.

Location unbeatable. The residence has everything we need as a family, a suite that comes with washer/dryer , kitchen, bathtub (need request for it and depends on room type) very helpful for family with young kids like us.
Housekeeping, front desk, sercurity guards, the buffet restaurant manager& staff are all very polite and helpful. I'm quite impressed by their service standard although Dorsett is a smaller hotel group than other brands. Thumbs up.

Only cons are the buffet breakfast restaurant at hotel building were small and too crowded (cuz of this newly added residences guests) and also the road that leads to this hotel/residence are extremely jam cuz of the one way direction + pavilion area.

Bad 1st impression but ok for the cost

The hotel was a fairly low cost compared to others in the local area but we had a bad 1st impression. We booked a non smoking two bed apartment with two queen beds. We were initially given a two bed apartment that stank of smoke and one room with single beds so we immediately had to ask to change rooms. After being put in a temporary room we were put into another room that must have been rushed to get ready as it was a bit dirty. The most annoying part of the residences building is the security. You are only given one lift key and it only goes to your floor. The security guards on duty are not helpful at all but the porters in the main hotel are much better. We were staying with family and had other family on other floors so you had to coordinate going out and meeting up which was extremely annoying. It is a good short walk to the pavilion shopping centre. I was surprised it was so highly rated but I would still consider staying there for a host visit due to the low cost. There is a wide range of food at breakfast so that’s a good point also. The swimming pool area is small but really nice and was quiet throughout our stay.

Not recommended.

Location good but the Rooms at Residence was very noisy. Our room was just next to lift lobby and we could hear people talking, singing, kids running around outside. We could hear people upstairs moving chairs around and kids running. Impossible to sleep at night. The toilet had glass all around so at night when the lights are turned on you end up waking or distrurbing the other person in the room. The toiets also had a foul odour all the time. Would not recommend this place.

Clean and cozy environment. Customer service very good. Polite and always put up a smile.
However the dining chairs are heavy as such can heard a lot of dragging. And one of the shower drain was choked. Other than that, everything else was well furnished.

Good and bad experience staying at Dorsett Resid

Room is spacious, with 2 bedrooms, a living room with sofa set and dining table/ chairs. Also come with kitchen, refrigerator and washing machine.
However, constant long noise nuisance from as early as 7 am till even 2 am from unit above caused by dragging/pushing of the heavy dinning chairs was really frustrating, annoying and disturbing. Rest and sleep was frequently interrupted. Hopefully improvement can be addressed.

Staying at Dorsett residences

We had such a great stay the room was as per the pictures and the service was impeccable. We had a good breakfast every morning. The room was very spacious and each bedroom has its own full bathroom. The only qualm we had is the noise between units is pretty obvious and some neighbours were still up and moving chairs at 1am. The hotel was very centrally located and within a 5 min walk you are in the heart of Bukit Bintang

Like: Sky pool n Gym. Apartment was spacious, two Bathrooms, big fridge, oven. Master Bathroom equip with bathtub with TV & shower screen.
Dislike: There is no shelf to put our shampoo etc. at the Common toilet, so got to put on the floor which is not convenient.
