A beautifully calming hotel. The grounds are lush tropical trees, you feel as if you are in the jungle, not by the beach. Then you walk through the trees and are met by a beautiful beach club/resturant, loungers and a fantastic beach. Of note, the hotel pool is beautiful too, with many loungers and cabanas. The hotel isn’t near (walkable) to the nearest habitation, but free bikes are available. There are other restaurants along the beach, if you want something different to the hotel.
The room (garden) was absolutely fantastic, one of the best in a beach resort that I have stayed in over many years of travelling.
Breakfast was al a carte - fantastic choices and a fresh pastry basket brought around to the table - some were better than I have had in Paris!
Staff were wonderful, engaging, on point and anticipated your needs- properly trained.
It is adults only, which was key for us and noise levels when relaxing by the pool/beach.
Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing beach stay, I would highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and returned for our wedding anniversary celebration. It blew us away 10 years ago and it did not disappoint us on our return!
There had been some updates made but the whole feel to place had not changed, it is a little piece of tranquility.
The staff are all so friendly and could not do enough to ensure we had everything we needed.
The food is fabulous, the spa and the therapists are fantastic, overall there is nothing I would change about this place… a little slice of heaven!

Wonderful week of utter relaxation

Amazing ! A little haven of beautiful tranquility. Equisite describes this gorgeous luxury, small hotel.
The breakfast is the best I have ever had ! The lay out is superb and the architecture couldn’t be better. It’s so pretty. The beach is great with an extremely comfortable, cold bar and restaurant behind it. The rooms are great and every finishing touch you could imagine, so much thought has been put into everything. The library is well stocked and pool is divine and warm. Smoking is only allowed in a few areas so no smoking in pool or restaurant which I love. It’s extremely quiet and peaceful and great value for money.

The Sarojin’s a small boutique style hotel set in beautifully maintained gardens about 15mins drive north of Khao Lak. The staff are welcoming, the food’s delicious (includes an all day breakfast) and the rooms are generous in size and comfortable. We have been four times and highly recommend it.

I had read the reviews about the Sarojin and thought…it can’t be that good. But it was! It’s an exceptional hotel. We had a jacuzzi suite and it was excellent. But what makes the Sarojin stand out is the staff who work there. You get a sense of a genuinely happy team. The service is excellent. And the all day breakfast was so good. A genuine 5 start hotel that provides a unique and personal service. I would highly recommend!! The story behind the Sarojin is heart warming…an experience we won’t forget!

This hotel is unquestionably the best we have stayed in anywhere. The personal service and in particular the ability to deal effectively and without error with specific dietary requests across every member of staff and in all parts of the hotel was outstanding. Menu top class and varied with international and Thai cuisine, vegans vegetarians andin fact any restructive diets will have a feast. When you go here you become a part of a family where people know you and want to help you. Speed of service on everything was astonishing. Every staff member deserves a mention not just front of house. Prices for food and other services are slightly under UK ( which is high compared to local Thai) but quality is ten times better and for us a no brainer. Housekeeping impeccable.You do not need power converters for charging phones in rooms as USB sockets, they provide insect repellent everywhere and an insect plug in repellent device in every room. Daily fruit in room and they give you a beach bag for the room and water flasks each. Free unlimited water in room and around pool and beach from their own bottling plant. Daily turndown where everything is refreshed. A pool residence provides ultimate flexibility especially in rainy season. We were literally blown away and so was everyone else signing the visitors book!

Beautiful resort in Khao Lak with few flaws

The Sarojin is a beautiful and impressive property it’s a small resort with a pleasant layout and gardens that feels seems serene and prestigious. The rooms are quite nice and very spacious with a well designed layout. No noble material there however (cabinets are made of melamine sheets) The beach along the shore is a long stretch of white sand and is not as busy as many places in Phuket or Krabi which is very relaxing. The service is very dedicated but border on overbearing all personnel is definitely dedicated and will go out of their way to provide assistance but they can be a little insistant. We booked two activities with the resort one was the Similan island snorkeling tour which was very nice although some beach time or walking would have been a interesting addition and the other was the Khao Sok jungle adventure which was pretty disappointing since we didn’t see any wildlife and the tour is basically a walk on a very easy trail 5 km from the park entrance, nothing impressive at all there. That tour was combined with a visit to an elephant sanctuary that left us very uneasy . We specifically inquired about the ethical aspect of the place we were to visit and it was still very questionable with only one aging elephant that was chained to a tree on the side of the road when we arrived that constantly shouted at by the “caretaker”.That being said the tours provided are well organized the lunches are quite exceptionnel and the transportation is safe and comfortable.

Fabulous boutique hotel with amazing staff

Saraojin is one of the nicest boutique hotels we have stayed in. The \"all day breakfast \" from 6am to 6pm and the endless top up of sparkiling wine was fabulous. We tended to have a late breakfast at 1-2pm and didn't eat again til dinner. The hotel is on the beach and the beach staff where so attentive, with clean towels and constant top up with cold water. I would love to go back but for us its a great 4 night end of holiday chill time rather than a full 7-10 day only destination holiday.

Not only is the property stunningly beautiful and relaxing but the staff are kind and go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon, and the Sajorin made sure no details were missed. My only negative comment is that the food at the restaurant ( not the amazing included breakfast) could be improved, it was a bit overpriced. Other than that I can't recommend the place enough!

one of the best hotels I've been to in Thailand. beautiful, calm environment, the pool is amazing, great pool-side service.
The Sarojin has a unique relaxed atmosphere, it felt very intimate and calm and like we were almost alone there.
Breakfast was very generous, with wide selection and served until 6pm!
The room was beautiful with great bath and shower area.

We first stayed at The Sarojin two years ago. It was our honeymoon and we wanted somewhere really special. We weren't disappointed. Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The location, the rooms, food and drink, service, the pool and beach…but the truly outstanding feature is the professionalism, charm and courtesy of the staff.

I have often found that return visits can be disappointing so generally these days I avoid going back to the same hotel. However, we had such a great time at The Sarojin that we decided to return for our second anniversary.

Everything was exactly as we remembered it and the greeting we received was even warmer than the first time round.

We plan to return...

Elegant resort in a tranquil setting

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sarojin. It's an elegant resort designed to decompress, indulge ones senses and adsorb the gorgeous setting. The staff were professional and lovely (even the resort's grounds keepers gifted us with their beautiful Thai smiles and warmth); the food was very good, particularly the breakfast menu: fresh and diverse; and the room itself was spacious, elegantly decorated and, were it not for the beauty outside, easy to stay in for the day.

The only issue we had was that the beds and pillows were substandard for a 5 star resort. On our first night, apparently the mattress pillow toppers were not in place and sleep was sporadic. On our second night, the padding was added, giving our bed a decadent futon feel and sleep, which still wasn't comfortable, but at least bearable.

If we are lucky enough to return to this beautiful part of the world and find ourselves at the Sarojin, I'll pinch myself to be so fortunate and bring my own pillow (they need these as well)!

The Sarojin is just an oasis of calm and luxury. Every single member of staff always smiled and greeted us. Breakfast every morning was a delight, freshly cooked to order and with good choice. Coffee was excellent. Our pool room villa was amazing, we would just like to live trees permanently. The Thai food in The Edge restaurant was outstanding. Much more expensive than the local restaurants nearby on the beach, but actually worth it because the quality was so good. The lobster curry was brilliant. It was my wife’s birthday whilst we were there and they made a real fuss of her.
I organised a surprise dinner on the beach with a private chef and that was an smazing night. Great food and beautifully set up.
Can not recommend hotel highly enough.

Spectacular Sarojin - Bliss !

The Sarojin is set on lush grounds that are immaculately maintained. There is a lovely entrance hall then a gym to the left of that. A huge pond with lilly pads in bloom. We stayed in the Garden Residences Room 204 and 303. Fabulous! Huge rooms, a lovely bath was waiting for us with flowers in it. The staff are so friendly and unobtrusive. The resort is small and intimate and no kids under 10 are allowed. It's quiet, soothing and relaxing. THe pool is beautiful and you go past the pool to a gorgeous beach. The breakfast is a-la-carte and they make it for you. So much better than a wasteful breakfast buffet. We had room service too it was excellent and we ate in the beach side restaurant too. There are plenty of other restuarants on the beach front too. The hotel has a shuttle service to and from Khao Lak and Bhang Niang and cabs are also easy to get. I highly reocmmend this hotel. They are so lovely and they include sparkling wine at breakfast too for a little breakfast Mimosa :) It was not crowded you truly had your own section of paradise and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. I'd love to go back there.

The Perfect Wedding Venue!

My son and now daughter in law chose this hotel for a small family wedding after many weeks of research. I suspect it would be difficult to find better anywhere in the world! The organisation and attention to detail was as exacting as could be supplied by any 5* star group worldwide but what stands it apart is the personalisation provided by Khun Sak and his team. Organising a wedding remotely can be hugely stressful for the couple as until they arrive they are reliant on images and reviews, so there is considerable trepidation. What this team do is make the bride and groom central to every decision without any stress, they make everything not only seem possible but instill a quiet confidence...of course we can is this teams motto! And boy can they! The couple choose a wedding at the waterfall, this is not some polished tourist attraction but a proper rustic location. The team went in and created a magical garden grotto with flower garlands, chairs, champagne and cake!! The bride and groom each had their own staff member on hand all day to fetch carry and co-ordinate photography and videography and make sure they didn't bang into each other! The day ran with military precision but felt happy and relaxed, the staff throughout the hotel appeared as excited and happy about the big day as we were, never once did you feel they weren't 100% engaged, from housekeeping to head chef. The day was completed by yet another private beach grotto of candles and flowers for the meal. Perfect

Beyond Expectations

We could not have imagined a more perfect hotel for our honeymoon. The Sarojin staff were beyond welcoming. They went out of their way to decorate our room. The food is great, with a wide selection for the free breakfast. Fresh fruit and dessert in your room at night. Firgot bug spray? No problem, the hotel has you covered with eco-friendly spray in the room. The excursions, while more pricey than some you can find in town or on your own, are completely VIP with private tours, transportation with drinks (sparking wine anyone?) and catered to your schedule. The waterfall dinner is like nothing you could experience anywhere else.

Fantastic Luxury Resort Experience

The Sarojin Resort as a unique feel to it that positively differentiates itself from many other resorts. The entire resort feels spacious, natural and has a very nice layout. The pool is fantastic and the naturual surroundings makes Sarojin very relaxing and tranquil. Both restaurants serve very high quality food and the a la carte breakfast at any time you want is very innovative and useful as it allows you to plan your own day in any format you like without having to be somewhere within a certain time limit. The quality of the breakbast is top, all fresh ingredients and an amazing time to enjoy quality time with your loved ones.

Loved it. Everything was perfect. Stayed at the spa villa and one night at the pool villa. The only complain I could think about is there is no hot water in the jacuzzis at the spa villa and since it was raining was quiet cold. Didn't really use it much. Other than that was amazing!!

A paradise on earth

The Sarojin is a real paradise where you can relax and recharge your batteries. All the employees are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean and the garden with this big pool is just great. And not to forget about the culinary experience: a dream, starting with a sumptious breakfast, continuing with some delicious snacks at the pool and ending with a nice drink at the beachbar after the fabulous dinner either at the ficus restaurant or at the edge. The hotel is located in a remote area of Khaolak but we had fantastic time. all the staff care about the guests from the time of arrival til the departure. Especially we would like to thank to Hinako who gave us lots of supports.
The room layout may be it odd especially there is a step between the bed space and the desk area which might be hard for older guests. The toilet can be updated since we had such a nice bathroom in a hotel in Bangkok.

Great Honeymoon Getaway

Wonderful boutique resort. Attentive staff, all day breakfast is excellent. The beach is okay, the pool is great. Massages were fantastic. The only downsides we experienced - on site restaurants are very expensive by thai standards and during our stay there was an absolute racket on one day for several hours when we were trapped inside during rain. Thankfully a call to hotel staff meant the noise died down shortly after.

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel. What I loved was the attention to detail in their service. I truly felt like this was a 5 star place based on the room, layout of the hotel, and service. The staff truly pay attention to every detail and make sure you are treated like value guests. The food was fantastic, and I highly recommend doing the romantic beachside dinner, while expensive you feel like you are in a movie. This is a great hotel for a couple looking for peace and quiet- definitely do not go here if you want the Thailand party seen. Memorable honeymoon stay. Phenomenal service!!!

We just completed 5 nights at Tge Sarojin and I cannot say enough good things about this resort!! From the moment you walk in you are greater with true Thaihospitality and are their number one priority for the entire duration of the stay.

Since we were on our honeymoon we were greeted with a bathtub full of roses and candles and a bottle of chilled sparkling wine. Morning breakfast is a lacarte and you can order as much as you like. We tried a number of things but I highly recommend the corn fritters... Incredible! Dining the onsite restaurants is also very good and service is top notch.

Beach is nice but I would say there is quite a bit of garbage at times which they do their best to clean. I was told since its monsoon season this normally happens. Also watch out for the jellyfish in the water.

Overall incredible and memorable experience. I highly recommend staying here for true luxury, relaxation and the best service a resort has to offer with truly happy staff!

The New Year's Eve gala was outstanding with cocktails, food stations, beautiful lighting, a local band, DJ, beach loungers, fireworks, and sky lanterns. Beautiful!

Super service, soft sandy beach

We selected the Sarojin for the location... Khao Lak and its proximity to stunning beaches, diving, and national parks. What made the trip exceptional, though, was the staff. They did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable! They chatted to us in some of the best English we've encountered in weeks in Thailand. They paid attention to details to bring us comfort (a surprising one was an ice cold towel when we returned their free loaner bikes from a jaunt to a waterfall). I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a little pampering in a stunning location!

Not for a young couple

When we arrived to the hotel they welcomed us very nice.
We got to the room and than notice about the prices of all the facility's.
170 usd for 90 min massage is wey to much..
In the upper restaurant Hamburg cost 1100 bht..
And the hotel is far from the city.. 15 min drive.. The hotel have shuttle thet cost 100 bht for a person each direction so u stsrt with 400 bht for 2 ppl.
From a 5 stsrts hotel i expect more.

The upper restsurants was on renovation so breakfast was only on the beach restaurant..
In the pool was noisy becous of it.

Didnt enjoyed as i wanted ther.

Booked a pool suite for 9 nights, wished we'd stayed longer. Excellent real boutique resort. Service is spot on and not over the top. Room amazing. Resort set amongst rainforest styled gardens, lots of wildlife. Beach clean and easily accessed. Each meal was an amazing experience. Well worth it. Up side, no children allowed under 10. This made for the ultimate couples relaxation stay.

Fantastic stay for our 10th anniversary

Firstly the chauffered transfers to and from the resort were fabulous! Great customer service and a welcomed selection of complimentary drinks and cold towels were provided throughout the very comfortable journey in our luxury 4x4. Breakfast was super flexible and was served from 6am - 6pm as well as freshly cooked to order; a real treat! The garden view room was spacious and offered a lovely bathroom with a free standing tub and 2 showers, particularly handy for my partner and I when getting ready in the evening for dinner. For a 5 star hotel I was a little surprised to see a few snagging issues with the quality of the finish of the room e.g. cracked bath tub and some minor room perimeter paint / sealant work that could have been easily rectified. Also the ground floor garden room did not offer the level of privacy we had hoped for. The curtains / nets had to be fully drawn in the room due to the floor to ceiling glass windows, which although overlooking the lovely garden otherwise meant that passers by could see directly into the bedroom. The hotels grounds and pool were immaculately manicured and looked fantastic at night. Overall a very pleasant stay. The staff could not have done enough for us and I would highly recommend The Sarojin for couples looking for a relaxing and romantic getaway.

Not worth the money

This is a lovely 5 star hotel. It is not however worth the money. I've stayed in many hotels of this standard around the world for half the price. At £330+ per night I expect to be wowed and I wasn't.

Service: Nice but it wasn't anything special particularly given usual high levels of Thai customer service I was actually quite disappointed.

Food: The Thai restaurant is good (though you can get better food for a third of the price in town). The Mediterranean was ok though very expensive, approx. £120 for a meal for 2. The food served to the beach/pool was very nice.

Rooms: Spacious, well maintained, lovely gardens

Beach/Pool: Lovely, iced water served to you, free sail boats and kayaks. Pool was really, really nice.

Location: 30mins outside of Khao Lak, so you do find yourself just at the hotel a lot rather than exploring.

Atmosphere: To quote my other half \"full of half dead's and newly-weds\".
The hotel is very quiet, (not that you want a rowdy hotel) but you would think if people were enjoying themselves you'd hear chatter and laughter. People seemed to be concious of making any noise which in turn left the place feeling lacking any soul.

Overall nowhere near special enough to warrant the price tag.

Compact, beautiful resort w/ amazing beach

We stayed at the Sarojin for 4 nights to start our Thai Honeymoon. Everything within the resort is a ~5 minute walk; from your room, to the center restaurant, to the pool, beach restaurant, and to the beach. The landscaping is beautiful, and conceals the other buildings, so it doesn’t feel crowded. No beach/ocean view from room, but the setting was beautiful all the same. The beach itself was stunning and very clean. Resort snorkeling trip to Similan Islands was awesome – lunch provided on boat while anchored on private beach was one of the coolest moments of the entire trip. Private car transfer from Phuket is worth it – wifi and free drinks. No kids a huge plus.

All day breakfast was a great - We typically had a late brunch (included unlimited sparkling wine) and didn't eat again until dinner. Dinner at the resort was good, reasonable (hotel prices, not Thai prices). There is also a couple of beach cafes adjacent to the resort which are cheaper. We drank there, but never ate there. Other couples we met ate there every night and enjoyed it.

The only (small) downside - you are isolated. There was not a convenient location close-by to rent scooters for the day. We had a lot of fun days later on in the trip exploring the area near our resorts via scooter, but that's not really possible here. They offer a free shuttle into town - we didn't use and I can't comment on the town. Also free mountain bikes - I do not recommend the ride to the waterfall.

Top luxury hotel

This is an outstanding hotel. Away from the heavy tourism of Phuket, around 1.5 hours away, this beautiful small hotel sits on a beautiful beach bay in a lovely area of Thailand. There is plenty to do in the area, and if you want to get out to a bar or local restaurants the small town of Khao Lak is close by and easy to get to.
However, you may find you never want to leave this hotel - Comfortable rooms, beautiful pool, unbelievable gardens, breakfast that goes on all day, and the bar and 2 restaurants are exceptional - Food is top class, with an excellent wine selection.

Amazing hotel, Relaxing and Enjoyable

My stay at the Sarojin was great. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly upon check-in, and the suite was amazing. All the small touches such as fresh fruit in the living area every day, the bathtub being filled with water and nice smelling herbs. Breakfast was excellent, and I loved the no-price-tag try-as-many-things-as-you-want ideaology.
Obviously, the pool was heavenly. Loved that it wasn't crowded, no kids splashing around. Just peaceful water and a pool-attendant to bring you ice cold drinks and snacks and towels.
Also, their outdoor activities center was great, with guided elephant rides, tours of the bay, etc. I joined an elephant ride through the jungle to a waterfall and then bathing the elephant as well. The actual ride was through a different company, but a member of the hotel staff accompanied me the entire way, including great transport vehicle to get to and from, and was very friendly.

A totally wonderful experience without fault

Our 10 day stay at The Sarojin was just perfect. This resort has really embraced the concept of service and they deliver it to the highest standard. The resort itself is beautiful. The room was well appointed, the amenities were of the highest standard, the staff were so very professional, the setting was ideal. The resort itself is set among beautiful tropical gardens. Our room was In a garden setting - a 5 minute stroll to a private beach or a 2 minute walk to the gorgeous infinity pool. The restaurants - a casual one virtually on the beach (The Edge) serving excellent Thai food and a lovely, more sedate restaurant (Ficus) serving European fare. Both we're excellent. Or we could take the Emerson shuttle or a taxi to nearby Khao Lak for the equivalent of $A 10. The spa facilities were excellent and the discount reward system was a great way to make it affordable.

Nice place to rest, close to the beach

Nice place, ideal for couples, honeymooners. Pretty far from Phuket airport (1:30 h) with a shuttle car costing 2,600 THB one way. But once there, no need to go elsewhere, the 2 restaurants serve good food (price average), cocktails are good and at reasonable price. Appreciate the cleanliness, the adorable staff, the complementary mineral water abundant in each room and everywhere. The pool is a must, large with comfortable rest chairs all around, insuring privacy. The rooms are spacious, we had one without pool which in my view is fine because the large pool is so nice to experience. Mosquitos exist but surprisingly very few, this despite the abundant greenery and humid climate. To be noted anti-mosquito sprays are complimentary available everywhere. So, no hassle at all, insects wise. We were really enjoying to have a cocktail on the beach side each evening, watching breathtaking sunsets. A really nice place for couples.

Perfect honeymoon!

We went there for our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay there. Every bits was very satisfying - especially, nice staffs. I still remember and appreciate Jo at the pool and Jane at the reception. Both were the most helpful and adorable staffs in my entire hotel stays. Always smiling and trying to help with any issues. ( @Jane - thanks for your tip for local restaurants and Bingo was a keeper! Anyone staying at Sarojin...if you are interested in local restaurants, please try Bingo, you won't regret.) Pool was very relaxing and clean all the time - we actually preferred pool to the beach as it was much quieter, relaxing and calm..you can't wish more than that. Only one cons was the price of the dishes. Bar and dinner menu was pretty much London restaurant level prices and it was not very attractive at all to us who are already familiar with the local standard. All in all, except the price of the food, we were very satisfied with our stay!

Most relaxing holiday ever!

Spent 9 nights here in Nov/Dec. Half in a Suite, half in a Pool Villa. We've been searching for a hotel like this for quite some time. Ultimate 5 star service and quality combined with local beach restaurants and bars a short walk away - that way we can treat ourselves to the odd luxury meal but walk down the beach to have lunches and dinners on the other days. The service is fantastic very personal, welcoming and friendly but unobtrusive. The a la carte breakfasts are wonderful - thai and western choices in a very relaxing setting. The beach is golden, groomed and hawker-free with free water & fruit served through the day. Very highly recommended.

Chose this based on its video, but when we got there it was as good if not better. Fundamentally if there is something you want they will try their hardest to do it for you.Typical examples - options of pillows if you don't like the standard, free bikes to use + cold flannel when you return, endless bottles of water, fast/ powerful internet., towels at pool or beach + cold drinks. restaurants to suit various tastes. Breakfast served all day to cope with jetlag /laziness. Everyone was helpful, and not concerned about the size of your wallet - booked taxi if you didn't want to pay for a limousine, recommended restaurants at nearby locations etc. Looking forward to going back asap.

Its worth every cent

The Sarojin was an incredible place to spend our honeymoon.
It was our own slice of paradise.
The service was above and beyond exceptional.
And all the little extras like complementary watermelon by the pool or beach, our beds being turned down after a day out made you feel really special its like they had thought about everything and dont get me started on the complementary breakfast... It was out of this world the freshly baked banana bread is a must
One of the things the manager said at a complinentary coctails night was there are no VIP's here because everyone is, you only choose the room you wish to stay in.
We really felt like VIP's with the welcoming staff who you got to know over the stay I cant rave about this resort enough!
We would go back in the blink of an eye

Perfect Honeymoon!!!

The Managment and staff were so womderful and everything was perfect. The hotel property is enchanting and beautiful. There were grounds keepers hand trimming the differamt plants and raking up any leaves that had fallen from the previous night everyday. The pool area was large, clean, relaxing, and beautiful with people taking drink and food orders. The beach area was also wonderful and had a security gaurd watching the hotels beach area. The water was pretty, warm, with little to no surf. The beach was clean and di not have sighns of trash like many beeches in Thailand. We never saw a single person walking the beech trying to sell anything wich was a wonderful surprise.

The room was large and private and was better then I thought it was going to be. The house keeping staff did a wonderful job everyday. The TV's were nice, DVD players with DVD's to check out at no extra charge. It was my honeymoon and my wife and I both loved every minute. The food was awesome and the presentation of the food wasalways excelent. There was food choices from many cultures available to order. The Thai food was some of the best I have ever had...

I would highly recomemd this place.

Great break in a quiet haven

My husband and I recently stayed for 4 nights at the end of August and found this hotel to provide a perfect break. We stayed in a superior suite which is really like a small villa with huge living area ,balcony and outdoor tub. Breakfast included in our tariff was served in the hotel's beachfront restaurant The Edge from an a la carte menu and beautifully presented. This was while renovations were completed to the usual breakfast area.

The grounds are landscaped with an impressive pool. We didnt use the pool as we had about 10 km of fairly deserted beach just 400 metres away and the water was about 25 degrees and very inviting. Umbrellas ,towels and water all readily supplied. It was the wet season and we were lucky enough to have very little trouble with the weather and managed to have great day trips fishing and travelling to some of the islands, the elephant trek and bamboo rafting. The nearby town was quieter than usual because all the dive centres are closed at that time of year till November so not the time of year to go if you want to go to the islands to dive and snorkel.
There were still plenty of local restaurants open which we travelled to using the hotel's subsidised shuttle service.

The staff were delightful and helpful at all times . This is a quiet and beautiful area of Thailand, not party central which you can find at the Phuket beaches two hours away .Good idea to combine a bit of both which is what we did.
