Right off the number 2 street car line, the hotel is in a historic section of town and easily accessible from Kagoshima Central Station. Near a shopping street and 10 minute walk from Waterfront park. Rooms were nice and a great value.

Location is good as it’s just opposite a department store. Room & restaurant are small and as a result guests are required to queue during breakfast hours. Breakfast spread wasn’t fantastic but quality acceptable. Staff don’t really speak English so it’s hard to communicate to them. Parking is JPY 1k per night if you’re a guest at the hotel.

The hotel is a solid choice, given the lack of 5 stars hotel in the city. Location is excellent, lots of eateries and a huge mall can be reached on foot. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, aircon works very well. Food in the hotel (breakfeast and dinner) is high quality.

Location is easy to find just Few minutes walk from the subway. Staffs are helpful and room is clean. Breakfast is included in the price,. we have a very early fight, the breakfast voucher can redeem for meal at dinner time.
I will come back and stay with this chain again.

Line was extremely long for breakfast on Sunday. The entire lobby was full of guests waiting to be seated, seems to be a combination of not enough staff cleaning up after those who left & more guests on Sunday. Waited almost half an hour to have breakfast! Otherwise the location of the hotel was excellent as well as the front desk service personnel.

My wife and I stayed at the Richmond Hotel Kagoshima Kinseicho for four nights in April. The room was large by Japanese standards with two double beds and a small couch. We asked for a quiet room, and the room was really quiet, facing the interior rather than the busy street with tram lines. We took breakfast all four days in the restaurant, and the buffet was good. They do have on-premises parking at a reasonable cost. Also the laundry facilities on the 3rd floor were clean and there were enough machines so we didn't have a problem. Instructions are in basic English, so we could figure it out. This hotel makes an excellent base for exploring Sakurajima and the sites on the Satsuma Peninsula (Chiran, Makurazaki, Lake Ikeda, and Ibusuki). Hotel staff were excellent. Probably the only thing lacking at Richmond Hotels is an onsen, which is a major drawback. The small in-room toilet and bath are functional, but it's not the same as a good, long soak in an onsen bath.

The best budegt western style hotel in my life

In fact, I have been travelling a number of countries and towns over the past two years and I do admit this is the best hotel I had ever stayed in term of budget wise and overall quality of hotel services and goods. You won't get wrong by staying at this hotel if you visit kagoshima. Definitely, 10 out of 10. No joke.

Airport bus stop is very very close to hotel entrance. Safe surroundings.Nice room. .i esp. like the 'Pola En Juillet' series of shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. the room is too warm ~ but we could borrow an electric fan from Front Desk.,
many eateries / pharmacy nearby.
if u do not mind walking, it's possible to walk to the Pier to take a ferry to Sakurajima..(20 mins). also possible to walk (30 mins) to Kagoshima Fish Market to enjoy sushi set. need to take a tram to Kagoshima Central Station (although we did try to walk)
overall a pleasant stay~

Terrific hotel with a terrific price

I wasn't expecting much because I hadn't paid much for the room, but this hotel far exceeded my expectations. It was very nice, seemed recently renovated and felt alot like the Sunroute chain of hotels, but the room was bigger! It was a nicer room than what I would normally expect from a hotel I paid twice that amount for.

Comfort small hotel with its own parking facility. Hotel staffs are friendly and willing to help.Room size is quite reasonable in Japan standard.

Cons is that you have to park the car outside the hotel at night time and the service stops at 11pm.

The Hotel was in middle of the Kagoshima Prefecture with easy access to bus, trams, train station, and ferry to the islands. It was also across from the mall and plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area. The maps that Richmond Hotel prepare for their guests are such a great help to navigate through town as well as locations of transportation in and out of city/airport. The staff in the hotel are professional, friendly and very helpful.

We took a taxi from the train station. There was a street car in front of the hotel. The front desk staff was friendly. The room was small but comfortable with two beds. The hotel was easy to find and it's near the shopping area and restaurants. Our friend took us to the graveyard of the last samurai (Takamori Saigo). We had a good time.

我覺得這個飯店的地理位置還算好,蠻方便的,只是它停車非常不方便,沒有專屬的停車場.所以我停在隔壁停車場,傍晚6點多入住 .隔天9點多退房,就花了兩千兩百元日幣.

프런트직원이 영어발음이 안좋아서 알아듣는데 힘들었고 손님을 공격적으로 대하는데 첫인상부터 별로인호텔입니다. 그리고 일찍 체크인을 3시에 했는데 룸도 너무 안좋은 룸을 받아서, 전체적으로 주차도 6시이후에는 빼기가 힘든 별로 인 호텔입니다. 조식 직원은 친절하지만 음식은 그저 그럼.

Das Hotel liegt gleich neben einer Tram Haltestelle. Das Personal hat gut Englisch gesprochen. Unser Tatami Zimmer war neu und hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
