The positives:
*Check-in and check-out were about as easy as it gets. I picked up a pouch from the 2F wall and went to my capsule.
*The manager and female cleaning staff were friendly
*The shower was comfortable
*There was a lounge and a terrace; the tables in the lounge were never all occupied at once. I only saw another guest on the terrace once.
*There was a feeling of being connected to the street outside that made it very easy to walk to a vending machine any time I wanted a drink. No staff to pass by, no locked doors. I liked that, but...

The negatives:
*That feeling of connectedness to the street outside? It also meant there was basically zero security; the path from the sidewalk in front of the building to my capsule had no locked doors and no staff presence.
*Nowhere to lock my suitcase; I could leave it in a corner in the lounge, which was locked overnight -- that was it, security-wise.
*No hotel map meant all I could do was wonder who else I was sharing the one bathroom on my floor with.
*Male cleaning staff was inconsiderate and unfriendly. Two of them were friends; one was considerate, until he was with the other one; then they became \"inconsiderate, together.\"
*Side-curtain capsules offer VERY LITTLE sense of privacy, I've learned.
*The toilet sprayed \"slightly below body temperature\" water. When it was cold outside, the capsule room and the bathroom were cold.

Conclusion: There are private rooms. I'll probably look into them, if I'm in Nagasaki again.

Super easy location to find, close to Nagasaki Station. About 20 minutes walk to Atomic Bomb museum and Peace Park, and 20 minutes to Gunkanjima Digital Museum. Bed in the mixed dorm was comfortable and had lots of space for baggage storage. Free breakfast consisted of bread/toast with jam as a spread, which was more than sufficient and a delightful treat. Lots of other travellers present in the hostel. Very good vibes. Would 100% stay again.

Good overall option in the centre of Nagasaki

The three young staff there were friendly and helpful. We had the Superior Room, so we had our own shower and toilet, which was convenient. A mini-fridge in the room would have been nice, though the fridge in the common kitchen was fine. The common area/kitchen was pleasant and clean. A short walk from the main train station and right in front of a tram stop.
The one major shortcoming is that there is no elevator -- our room was on the 5th floor, so we struggled to take our luggage all the way up. On the positive side, the staff let us keep our luggage at the hostel for a few hours when the trains were delayed half-a-day due to a typhoon. Overall, a convenient and clean place to stay with friendly and helpful staff.

We usually stay in hotels, but were forced into a last minute 'hostel' decision because of weather issues causing us to stay in Nagasaki for 1 more day. The hostel - for the price - was brilliant. We has a 2 bed room with ensuite. Clean, functional, quiet, good location and value for money are appropriate adjectives. Interesting restaurants are close as is the Train Stn. Host was very welcoming. The stairs were a struggle with bags - but - its a hostel!!

Near to nagasaki station, less than 10 mins walk. Nearest tram station (Gotomachi) is 2 mins walk. Pretty big dorm rooms with a big washing sink. Only 1 bathroom and 1 toilet per dorm room. Towels are 100 yen, washing machine use is also 100 yen per usage. Dorm beds come with curtains, mini locker and a small reading lamp. No lift, so those with huge luggages might struggle a lil bit. The door to the dorm room is not locked. Only the female-only dorm roon is locked. Mt inasa ropeway ticket (round trip) is sold at 980 yen (NP 1200 yen) here. Reception is open from 8am-8pm. A lot of Japanese stay here.

Horrible hostel.
No security at all. Anybody can walk-in into rooms without a problem no matter the time of day or night. There is no staff at night.
only 1 toilet and 1 shower for 10 people.
No area to put luggage

I stayed in the female room and liked everything except for the tram noise. My bed was spacious and had uplifting colors painted around it. Bathroom was clean with plenty of hooks and shelves.

Nice place

centrally-ish located for going south to the church and grover garden or north to the atomic bomb site. Not far from jr station on main road. Only downside...no elevator and the hostel starts on the 3rd floor of the building but if you pack light that's not a problem.

Great Location, but Outdated Amenities

The hostel is conveniently located within 5 minute walk from the Nagasaki train station. It is close to harbor and some other attractions of the city. The staff was great, helpful and nice. The common area was accommodating. Unfortunately, the dormitory type room was too crowded: 10 people sleeping on bunk beds and two more on the floor. Quite a lot for a small room with single shower and bathroom. I felt safe there though.

I'd give it a 5 rating for a hostel, not a hotel. Please kind that in mind. The location is really great, it's a 5-10 minute walk (10 if you stuck at the crosswalk) from the Nagasaki train station. You don't need to take the streetcar, just turn right coming out of the train station and walk. Staff is nice. We stayed in a single room, so no comments on hostel life. They have a laundry machine for 100 yen but you must dry your clothes on the roof, so keep that in mind when planning. Hostel staff doesn't arrange Taq-q-bin luggage delivery service, which kinda disappointed me. Street car pass is not available here. Not really much noise. You need to go across the street to buy it from another hotel. All-in-all, it's a good location for a good price.

長崎駅から徒歩4分ほど。路面電車の電停も目の前、北に行くにも南に行くにも便利なロケーション。主な部屋は3階以上で階段だが、細せま長い階段ではなく普通のマンションくらい。女子ドミトリーは綺麗で2段ベッドの天井も高く、部屋内に冷蔵庫もあって便利。スリッパも完備されている。タオル、歯ブラシは購入するか持参。洗面台やキッチンにペーパータオルがあれば申し分なし。

ただ、元々オフィス？マンション？を改良したのか、部屋までの階段が狭く、荷物を運ぶのが大変でした。
また、個室であってもシーツなどは自分で外して退出する必要があるなど、一般のホテルと比べて値段とサービスが一致していないように思いました。

フロアーはとても清潔で、3Ｆのリビングも落ち着いた雰囲気でキッチン用具も充実してました。特に使わなかったのですが、次回は食材持ち込んで作りたいと思いました。スタッフがいない宿なの1週間前に2泊を1泊に変更した際のやり取りが大変でした。

深夜になってもドアをバタバタ開け閉めしめする、ビニール袋をずっとガサガサ鳴らす、ドライヤーを使う人、カーテンをガサツに開け閉めする、そういう騒音を出すマナーの悪い客がいて眠れませんでした。ゲロを吐いてトイレを占領、流さずにそのままにするなど最悪でした。スタッフの方が常駐する必要があると思います。ドミトリーということを考慮してもうるさく、汚かったです。

安さ重視で選んだので、お値段なりです。ドミトリーは広いし、ちょっとした荷物スペースもあるので、使いやすかったです。
ただひとつ気になったのは、夜中がとにかく暑い！暑さで寝苦しくて、毎晩寝不足でした。相部屋なので平均値のエアコン設定になるとは思いますが、皆さん暑くなかったのかな？

Die Lage ist sehr zentral, nahe von Bahnhof und Innenstadt. Das Zimmer mit Sicht auf den Hafen sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das Einchecken verlief sehr unkompliziert. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist ebenfalls sehr gemütlich gestaltet.

施設は非常に清潔で居心地がよく、1階のリビングで他の宿泊者の方とのおしゃべりも楽しみました。

少し不便ですが、寝るだけなら快適な宿

ランタンフェスティバルの期間とありちょっと高めでした。夜中だとドライヤーが使えなかったり、コインランドリーが使えなかったり、あとはシャワー室を増やしていただけると大変助かります。時間を気にせずドライヤーやランドリーが使える環境を整えてください。ですが、寝心地は最高でした。IKEAのマットレスで疲れた身体がとても癒え、熟睡できましたし、電話対応も優しくしてくれました。話好きなオーナーさんなのか、楽しくお話しできてとても良かったです。また機会があれば利用したいと思いますが、いかんせん、少し不便と感じたのと、素泊まりだとちょっと高いかなーと感じてしまいました。ですが、他と比べると安いかなと思います。シャワー室もとてもよく快適に過ごせました。ただ、チェックインが分かりづらかったです。

これ言ったら身バレすると思うけど、自分がリビングに夜座ってたとき、一人旅？で来ていた女性の宿泊者に対して、スタッフの女性が転売手伝って！みたいなことを持ちかけてて、その女の子苦笑いしてたのを見た。うーん、それ、どうなの？w

このホステルは全然サービスや設備は申し分ないし完璧、だけどあのスタッフさんの転売加担押し付けはちょっとヤバくないすか？w

フェリー乗り場に近く、泊まるだけならコスパよし！

福江島へ船での移動が翌朝早いため、港に近い宿を探して滞在しました。
エンスイートに2人で滞在。
フェリー乗り場から徒歩で7〜8分程度で迷うほどの道ではなくとても便利でした。
朝食はトーストと飲み物が準備されていて、ルームキーを箱に入れるだけで、チェックアウト。
すぐ近くにコンビニ、トラム駅でコスパがよい

Zwei Tage Nagasaki

Ankunft mit dem gemieteten Auto war recht abenteuerlich. Trotz Navi verfuhr ich mich erst ein wenig und brauchte Hilfe bei der Wiedereinstellung des Ziels im Navi - nämlich des Hotels. Aber letztlich dann mit Navi gefunden. D.h. nicht ganz, das Navi sagte zwar, ich \"hätte das Ziel erreicht\", aber vom Hostel Namen war nichts zu sehen. Das Auto erst mal geparkt und dann das Hostel gesucht oder besser den Eingang zum selben. Im nahe gelegenen Backshop nachgefragt und die Verkäufern zeigte es mir dann. Nach kurzer Nachfrage fand Ich dann auch den Eingang. Das Namensschild stand auf dem Treppenzugang zum Hostel anstatt über dem Eingang zu hängen. Die Einrichtung des Hostels ist einfach und gut. Getränke und Toast standen frei zur Verfügung, so daß man sich nehmen konnte, was man wollte. Zum Frühstück gab es Toast mit Marmelade und - je nach Wahl - Kaffee oder Tee mit oder ohne Zucker und Milch. Verkehrsanbindung ist recht gut weil Bus- und Straßenbahnhaltestellen sind recht nah, so dass man mit denen auch unterwegs sein kann. Ich selbst bin aber nur zum Friedenspark gelaufen, weil ich mir nur den ansehen wollte und genügend Zeit zum laufen hattet. Fazit nach zweitägigen Aufenthalt empfelenswertes solides kleines Hostel.

ロケーションは長崎駅から徒歩5分、路面電車の五島町駅直近。ビルの3階にフロントがあり、注意していないとビルを通り過ぎてしまう。清掃が行き届いていて清潔感がある。トイレとシャワールームが室内にあるため、同室の人に気を遣う必要あり。深夜、早朝はフロント脇のトイレと洗面所が使える。

シャワールームや洗面台がとても綺麗でした。チェックイン時間過ぎてのチェックインにも丁寧に対応して頂けたのでありがたかったです。バス停から非常に近く、周辺にコンビニもあるので便利でした。

有免費早餐(土司和咖啡)
服務人員很親切，還會拿導覽地圖給你，可以請他們推薦景點

浴室廁所和臥房同間，若有人較晚回來洗澡會有點吵
從外面進到臥室完全不用鑰匙，也不會經過櫃檯，有點危險
公寓中的三四樓，沒有電梯，有大型行李要自行搬運

I think the Hotels.com rating 8.4 is quite misleading. We lived on the 5th floor, and the building is w/o an elevator. It is a bit difficult for visitors with big luggage. As for the hostel over all, I guess there is not much to expect when it is a 2-star hotel.

staff are very nice and kind. Bed is clean, only one bath room in each room for max. 10 people.
Near the Nagasaki JR station, which is convenient.
