We had a wonderful stay! Couple things we would tweak but overall it was wonderful!!! Very very impressed with this resort. It was idyllic and wonderful and restorative! Many commented on how much it has changed post hurricaine. Honestly, it sounds insane. But for what it is now - still amazing. Doesn’t change anything. And the character of the workers - impressive. Still working through some rennovations but the amt of beachfront is truly impressive. Would 100% recommend Excellence level. It was a great stay!

We booked this for our 20 year anniversary trip and couldn’t have picked a better spot. We really enjoyed the food, the staff. We never had to wait long for anything since we would go right at 6 when the restaurant opened. There was a bout of windy weather that came thru which brought a ton of seaweed to the beaches so there was a few days we couldn’t use the beach chairs but there’s so many other places to relax that we hardly noticed. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested and we will be back

Some entrees like the lobster, grouper and oxtails were very good

Spent a full week. Ocean was partially visible in a garden with plunge pool room. We had our own private deck to layout in the sun so we appreciated that so we didn’t have to fight for a spot by the pool. Rooms were beautiful. Large jetted tub was our favorite and was not just a soaker tub. Cable did not work but a few hours for the week. Staff would check in 2-3 times a day so definitely were taken care of. The Lobster House and Spice were our favorite. The grilled lobster was amazing! Hibachi was fun at Spice but you have to make reservations. I appreciated the coffee shop with desserts (ice cream and pastries). The gym was amazing and had everything a gym rat would need! The spa was great. We booked two couples Excellence massages (75 mins) twice and they were very relaxing. Georgia and Nina were great for deep tissue and Talia and Theresa provided a very relaxing massage. I enjoyed Zodia who was the attendant for the hydrotherapy. The hydrotherapy was interesting with stations including a sauna, cold bucket, alternating cold/warm shower, warm and cold plunge as well as pool that consisted of bubbles, pressurized fountains. Lastly there was a heated bed with scalp massage which was so relaxing. When all services were done, you could lay on a swaying bed which was also very relaxing. Overall great resort and would come back!

This was our second stay at Excellence Oyster Bay, and once again the service was exceptional.

Before we even arrived, Delisea went above and beyond to help us secure a top-floor Beach House Excellence Suite when the only available option lacked the privacy we prefer. She also arranged dinner reservations for our arrival so we could celebrate our anniversary stress-free.

Makeda (host), Keroy (waiter), and Stephen (waiter) made our Excellence Club dining experiences warm and memorable. They remembered us and always greeted us with genuine kindness.

On our last morning, Sashagay ensured our breakfast service was quick and seamless so we could relax without worrying about our departure time — a thoughtful touch we truly appreciated.

Brandon and Arthurneil were fantastic at the beach, setting up our chairs and checking in regularly. Brandon even found a cloth to clean my glasses, and Arthurneil surprised us with a beautiful swan towel creation after breakfast.

The resort is quiet and relaxing, with a lovely beach for walks and wading and a peaceful pool area. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Here are just a few of the outstanding staff:

Rojay, waiter at The Grill and Chez Isabelle, attentive, remembered my allergies each time.

Antoinette, hostess at the Lobster House and Magna. She remembered our name and room number, always a smile on her face. Impressive!

Kimono at the Zenith pool. Pleasant and efficient even though she seemed overworked.

Allayah, The Lobster House. Remembered allergies and she was attentive.

Britannia, Magna. A real professional server!

Felicia, waitress at the small pool. She always seemed to be there when we were ready for another beverage.

Christopher and Jessie at the Martini bar. They were friendly and hard workers. The bar could get quite busy and they always made sure to acknowledge each guest even if it would be a few minutes before they could take their order.

Kenira, hostess at the breakfast buffet. She remembered us each morning and made us feel welcome.

All of the staff in the Club Lounge were helpful and friendly.

Overall we really enjoyed our 3rd stay at Excellence Oyster Bay!

When we arrive, I was greeted by Hotel staff at the front door and then I was escorted to the front desk where I was checked in immediately and brought to a beautiful ocean front suit

The food was amazing with your choice 10 of restaurants..on the property and after dinner you had a choice an amazing show or after dinner drinks at the main bar. I have traveled
many countries and I can’t remember a staff that were so professional. And willing to go out of their way to provide you with the best customer service. I highly recommend this hotel for at least a five nights day to get the full ambience of the hotel.

The resort itself was amazing—beautiful property, excellent amenities, and very friendly, attentive staff. The food, service, and overall atmosphere were top-notch and truly made the stay enjoyable. That said, I would not recommend the garden view room. The garden view we initially had was very disappointing and did not match the quality of the resort. We upgraded to an ocean view/oceanfront room, and it completely changed the experience—it was absolutely worth the additional cost. I highly recommend booking ocean view or oceanfront for the best experience.

I literally don’t think there was any stress because they were very accommodating and attentive with service. There was a standard and they met it each time! I’ve never been happier from the food, the amenities, the clean and beautiful room 5007 was the best room for the swim out suite literally centered! The staff was always amazing that they were memorable by name! Also was surprised the 24hr room service was amazing! Food options were great and it was always delivered within time! My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at Excellence Oyster Bay and have nothing but AMAZING things to say. The beach was beautiful - quiet, secluded, and kept so clean. The food was great, especially loved The Lobster House and Spice (specifically the Hibachi). Most importantly, the staff was INCREDIBLE. So personable and genuinely kind people.

The entertainment team - specifically Martin, Tomayo, Jordanique, Rick, and Pauline - always had us laughing throughout the day and are pretty convincing when it came to participating in the activities throughout the day.

Our very first dinner (and our very last) was at the Lobster House with Dave. He was attentive and offered exceptional service. Ricardo and De'andre were also great!

Sherica at the front desk was amazing. Organized and charismatic. The perfect person to have as soon as you walk into the resort.

Kefirya was the perfect host. Welcoming, kind, and checked in on us throughout our meal.

Last but not least - the bartenders. Outstanding people that kept both our drinks (and hearts) full throughout our stay. Junior, Kishnoy, Rivarrio, Alex, and Jose-Anne. So fun to talk to and so great at their jobs.

We have never had a better experience at an all-inclusive resort than at Excellence. They made our honeymoon so special and we are truly thankful! We are hoping to come back one day.

This was the best honeymoon we could have asked for. The resort is stunning and well-maintained. We had a beach house room, which gave us direct access to the beach, a plunge pool, lounge furniture, and a cabana right on the sand. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The beach itself was so nice - water was clean and warm! The main pool and infinity pool were immaculate. Our Excellence Club room came with a hydrotherapy session and our guide, Tishaun, was wonderful. We had no idea what to expect, but we loved every second of it!
Every meal that we had was delicious, and we always walked away happy and full!
All these things are amazing and great, but it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as wonderful as it was without the staff. From the second we arrived until the moment we left, each person we interacted with made us feel like family. A few people who I absolutely have to thank for making this a dream trip: Sharica at check-in, Giovanne, Ian at the pool, Letishia and Jose-Anne at the martini bar, Ojeuecko who spoiled us rotten with coconut mojitos and blackjacks, our pool ladies - Latifa, Hyana, and Keisha who made sure we always had a drink and always stopped to talk with us, Carlene - hibachi chef extraordinaire at Spice, and hostesses P erecia and Makeda, who always greeted us with smiles. An extra gigantic thank you to the entertainment staff, especially Pauline, Martin, Degrick, Tomayo, and Jordanique for keeping us dancing, singing, and smiling every day!

The food was not good. I tried most of the restaurants and did not have a great experience. Plus the service was slow as well. There was a lot of stale bread items. The rooms were nice but housekeeping did not arrive until close to 5pm or shortly thereafter. Landscaping began in the morning hours and continued into the night. I did not see a lot of overall organization with the staff. A spilled cup of soda or some drink from the night before remained in the pool area until the next afternoon. There was an outdoor umbrella that got blown over by the wind. It went down into the pool area among other guests. There was an employee standing near that did nothing to retrieve the umbrella. Another staff walked by and did nothing while other guests retrieved the umbrella. It took a third staff member to retrieve the umbrella. No one asked if the guests were hurt or injured. I am not sure if there were excursions available or kayak or boat rentals. It was not offered. I don’t think that I would recommend.

Very disappointed in the Club Level amenities as that is why we book the Club Level again. Our first stay in 2017 was lovely. However, this time, our favorite restaurant, Magna, was closed the duration of our stay without notice. Nowhere on the website or booking was that mentioned. It was our favorite spot for breakfast and views. Instead, we had to walk a half a mile to Zenith to have breakfast. Very disappointing as we do not like the buffet. In addition, the golf carts were available to us last time for transportation to and from the restaurants and any time we please as club level guests. However, this time, even though it was pouring rain, they told us no I’m sorry, management has made a decision to not allow golf carts to be used for transportation for club level guests while on property-only for arrival and departures. This was unacceptable to me! This is a Jamaican resort being run by a Mexican company. Things need to change or we will not return.

We didn’t make it due to hurricane Melissa.. AA canceled their flights.. Montego Bay Airport was shutdown.. there’s no way for us to get to the Resort.. !!! and Excellence Oyster Bay Adults Only resort would not give us our refund and did not even reconsidering honoring our stay at a later time (within a year)..!!
I mean.. it’s Mother Nature that’s causing this catastrophic..Category 5 Storm..Kingston Jamaica was in state of EMERGENCY..!! That should be more than enough reasons to honor our cancellations..

The property is beautiful. We loved our beach house. Having Excellence Club level, made a big difference for us. We enjoyed the daily resort activities and the nightly shows. Michael Jackson was entertaining. The beach is just enough & very clean. The staff really make you feel like royalty. Our favorite bartender is Rodney. Our favorite Guest Specialist is Trishana. Food was horrendous. Steak gray- appeared boiled from a steak house. Half the menus at the restaurants they did not have available. Octopus and lobster dry and chewy. They wanted to substitute our grouper fish for mash potatoes. Unfriendly staff- felt as though we were bothering them. Subpar customer service. Luggage never arrived at room even after 2 hours when told it would arrive momentarily. Room service stated 45 minutes and it would consistent arrive in 1 1/2 hours. Towels not available at pool. When asked if someone could assist us they said not to worry and would be back in 5 minutes with towels . After 45 min they never returned. Paid for excellence club and one of their two excellence restaurants closes. Went to spa for a massage and facial. They forgot to add on the facial. Very disappointing for what we thought was going thought was going to be a 5 star resort

Staff was very friendly and management checked in on us. The only problem we had was all week our room kept getting skipped over for a cleaning. Our dirty towels were towering. We did have the green button on for “open” instead of the red but somehow we were overlooked. We got towels right away when I called and management was willing to help.
Overall very clean, quiet, good food, and entertainment was nice. Best part was the ocean and the private beach where you didn’t have to worry about leaving your items by your beach chair and walking away.

We waited an hour for our room on arrival. They were non chalant about the situation and never had the opportunity to speak to a Manager. When you walk in its was not inviting very dark and smelt like mildew. The staff were blah, compared to other restaurants we've stayed at. There was alot of construction going on around our room and property. For our inconveniences they offer us a cabana with a server, although we explained we were there with 16 other people. That would take us away from our party for up to 4 hours. One of the days there our room didn't get cleaned all dayy we had to call them. The esthetics were nice and the food was good, but compared to other places ive stayed in Jamaica the feel of tne people and tne vibe wasnt there. I will stick with Secrets st james.

The staff and management were excellent, but the property is run down and in need of a lot repairs. Food was average. The problem was the property. We switched 3 rooms during our stay and just gave up… each room had a smell and/or plumbing issue. Also, I don’t know why this property is a VIP access hotel, I did not receive any additional benefits as a platinum member of Expedia.

The staff of Excellence made this vacation a 10/10! Our room was amazing and clean! We never wanted for anything. Bath water was ran when requested. Turn down services were amazing. Food was absolutely the best!

Great staff, and the room was very nice. However half of the restaurants were closed due to renovation, including the infinity pool. We tried almost every restaurant that we could & every single one was so disappointing. No sauces or spices on any meats & pastas barely had any sauce, really nothing had any flavor or consistency. The ribs were good at the steak house but they had no sauce at all on them like everything else here. Even room service was mediocre which is saying something because how do you screw up nachos? Just no flavor, so we were starving the whole week basically having to survive off of the food at the little coffee shop that has donuts and ice cream, such a bummer. Besides that the hotel really was amazing, but the all inclusive 24/7 food was what we were most excited about & was a huge let down. I’d recommend going to a hotel that is nice but doesn’t have all inclusive food, we would’ve saved money and had way better food even with ordering delivery for every meal. However the area outside of the resort isn’t very safe, so do research and find one that’s very secure and in a good area

We stayed in both the beach house in Villa 12 and then 2 days in Villa 5. The rooms and bathroom are spacious with wonderful views. We did encounter some issues with the room but they were dealt with straight away. Room service is 24/7 and a daily complimentary mini fridge and bottles of wine and liquor. The room assistant Michelle was simply lovely, our anniversary wasnt acknowledged upon arrival, not a biggie but Michelle got us a banner and decorated our bedroom, its the small things that count. All the staff are professional, yet engaging for the visiting clientele, i only watched the Jamaican cultural dancers and the Bob Marley Show with Jamaican buffet. What a evening everyone was on their feet by the end of the night

Excursions on the property, multiple different restaurants, great food, clean space, spacious rooms and many other pros. This is the place to be even if you’re on a solo vacation.
