It was a really good experience. How to best utilize the amenities could have been explained better upon arrival rather than leaving the guest to spend a lot of time figuring it out. Otherwise it was a great place with lots of great upscale restaurants and beautiful views.

The property was beautiful. Room was very elegant, along with the rest of property.. staff very nice and helpful.. reason for my lower rating is the food in the restaurants that were open was absolutely terrible.. the only positive item was that the buffet breakfast was the best food on the resort.. the other major negative was that I knew going into it, that being in all inclusive resort we would have lower end liquor which we did.. I was not anticipating we couldn’t even pay for top self items cause wasn’t available..

The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The hotel and our suite were beautiful, definitely recommend the Junior Suite with the semi private pool. We didn’t have any water on the second day for a few hours in the morning however this didn’t spoil anything because we enjoyed the beach, pool, food and drinks so much. First time to Jamaica and to the resort, looking forward to going back to both!

The outside of the resort is stunning. The inside is clean but boring. It lacks decor and character. Though the inside was very clean, so much stuff was broken: doors didn’t open, room ac vents coming undone, furniture broken and then there was the time the water was off all day - we were told it was a regional issue and not a hotel issue so I stepped outside and called businesses out in town and other resorts nearby and all said they had running water (I have a video but unable to upload) we were brought a small “dessert” plate for the inconvenience (pictured). The resort also needs to pay their staff a bit more, bag guys and room cleaners make you feel uncomfortable unnecessarily bothering you in hopes for a tip (even when the don’t disturb sign is on). Also, when calling room service or the front desk, many times no one would answer in which I would have to go down to the front desk to find no reason for them to not answer the calls. (Extremely annoying). The Resturant are ok, I’ve had better to eat at Applebees (and I haven’t eaten there in over 15 years). There is also no good shows or performances/entertainment at night. As lovely in the beach and pool area is, we would not stay here again.

This was one of the best vacations and resort so far . We stayed for 13 days ,,loved every day . Beautiful beach ,,nice and quiet resort . No laud music all day long . Perfect place to relax and enjoy ! Food was so good ,,all restaurants have amazing staff and food choices . Even vegan option !
Staff is so nice ,helpful ,smiling ,,happy place for sure .
Rooms are huge,,with pool ,,overlooking beach .
Drinks are strong and made the way they should be . There is lots of free amenities . Snorkeling ,kayaking, peddle boarding etc .
Excellence really excited our expectations .
Will definitely recommend and will be back .

Beautiful property! Friendly and attentive staff. The food was excellent for a all-inclusive. The Jerk Shack by the pool was great for lunch, Bar tenders make excellent drinks and the nightly entertainment was on point. My only complaint is the gift shop is a ripoff and privately owned.
I would definitely recommend this resort !

Overall Excellence Oyster Bay was great. I would add there was a rush job in doing a total bathroom clean just prior to me entering my room for the first time. I had to clean the floor myself because I thought it was unsanitary. Also, the used towels were not removed from the bathroom one of the four days I was there. I did find that if you alert the front desk of any of these issues they were prompt with a resolution. It was just not a good look to have the bathroom needing a full cleaning before I entered the room for the 1st time. There was also a twelve hour period were the resort had no running water. I fell the resort visitor should he given some compensation for that. Even with these issues Excellence Oyster Bay is a beautiful place and I hope to visit again. I just hope they inspect the bathrooms for cleanliness before turning the rooms over to guests. I saw about 6 other resorts in the Montego Bay/Ocho Rios area and I would say Excellence in the best by a good margin. Again I think a credit/compensation is durle for the time the water was not running.

Property is beautiful. I found the front desk staff not as friendly or helpful as the rest of the staff. Would have liked more food options as well. Some restaurants are closed on days so options are limited though food itself was very good. Had problems with air conditioning on the second day of our stay which was fixed relatively quickly and on the 3rd day the whole resort was without water for several hours.

The Excellence is a beautiful property! My only disappointments were the quality and selection of the room service food and \"upgraded\" mini bar.
The selections weren't as great as my experience with the sister property in Mexico. Also, unfortunately, my private pool light wasn't functional for my entire stay so that was disappointing. But the staff was very accommodating and pleasant and I would definitely visit again!

The swim-up infinity pool for the suite was excellent. The view was INCREDIBLE. I would recommend the excellence upgrade too. The food was great. Room service was a little slow at times, but still wonderful. The beaches were clear. The excellence members beaches were worth the extra cost. The entertainment was fun and the staff were AMAZING! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, and the cleanliness was excellent. Our check-in experience was pleasant—Rochelle was welcoming and helpful, and Francis the bellman was kind and informative. Unfortunately, the service declined after that. We experienced issues with housekeeping, including not receiving towels for over an hour after requesting them. Our scheduled champagne breakfast arrived late with no communication or apology. Our 24th anniversary was not acknowledged as promised until we personally had to ask. We also had uncomfortable experiences with service. At one point, a server ignored us when we tried to place an order. At the hibachi restaurant, other guests were consistently served before us, which made the experience feel awkward and disappointing. Although our server, Kimberly, was pleasant, the overall experience was disappointing. The chef, OJ, also came across as unfriendly and did not contribute positively to the experience. On our last day, our scheduled luggage pickup never arrived, and we ended up carrying our bags ourselves. To make matters worse, we were placed in the wrong transportation to the airport, causing further delays and confusion. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially for such a highly rated resort. It felt as though staff were more attentive and accommodating to guests of other races, while we were treated as less important. Because of this, we cannot recommend this resort—particularly for people of color.

My wife and I had an amazing stay. The property was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with great views and everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The beach was absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water and plenty of space to relax.

What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. The restaurants offered a good variety of food, and the service throughout the resort was excellent.

The spa experience was one of the highlights of our trip and helped make the vacation feel truly relaxing. The grounds were beautiful, and there were plenty of activities available while still providing a peaceful atmosphere.

If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be that some restaurant wait times during peak hours could be a little long, but it was well worth the wait.

The resort is beautiful and very clean, which is extremely important to my wife and me. We spent most of our week at the Club Level pool, and that part of the experience was truly delightful.

The downside was the maid service. Our room wasn’t cleaned until around 5 PM, which is unacceptable for a resort at this level. Even stranger, the turn‑down service came only about 90 minutes after the late cleaning. After multiple complaints, the schedule was finally corrected on the third day, and the room was cleaned in the late morning as it should be.

The food was adequate at best — nothing particularly memorable.

Another disappointment was the ocean. the beach chairs and services were delightful; however, the water wasn’t really usable during our stay because of the seaweed buildup along the shoreline, which made it unappealing to go in. We ended up using the pool almost the entire time.

The initial check‑in experience also missed the mark. It didn’t feel welcoming; we had to wait on the driveway for a bellhop to register us with 20 other people, then take a short golf‑cart ride to the Club Level check‑in area. Our room wasn’t ready until about 4:30–5:00 PM.

Once we finally got into the room, it was excellent. We had a fantastic oceanfront view from Building 5 with nothing blocking us. Overall, it’s a beautiful property with great views and amenities, but several service issues took away from the experience.

We had an outstanding stay at Excellence Oyster Bay. The rooms were kept immaculately clean and well stocked. Staff went above and beyond in their helpfulness and kindness. There is something for everyone. Lots of beach. Plenty of shaded chairs and cabanas. Spacious pools with lounge chairs and swim-up bars. We stayed in a room with our own private pool which we highly recommend. Our favorite restaurants wereThe Kitchen Table, Jerk Hut, Caribbean Grove, and The Grill. Be sure to take advantage of the many opportunities they have to go on fun excursions. The Chukka tour was a lot of fun! Our only two recommendations is that the rooms install dehumidifiers and the drain stoppers for the jacuzzi tubs in the rooms work. We’ve never felt better taken care of while on vacation than we did with Excellence! I hope we can return again one day. Respect!

The food was actually pretty good considering I’ve read reviews where it’s hit and miss with all inclusive resorts. The property had small flaws but overall was beautiful and well maintained. I recently stayed at Oyster Excellence and overall had a great experience. The property was very clean, the food was good, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. I did have an issue with my key card during my stay, but the hotel staff handled it quickly and got it resolved. The only other issue was that my sink was leaking and flooding a bit in the room. Aside from that, everything else was great and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely consider staying again.

Beautiful facility, very private on the peninsula, so the beach is very quiet as well. The pool is nice, and the drinks are plenty. Only thing that threw us off was the dress code for men in the restaurants- so be sure to read up on them and pack accordingly.

We arrived at excellence at 1pm. We were told that our room wasn't ready as yet. We were told check in was at 3 and to go have lunch till then. We got back to the front desk at 3. Our room still wasn't ready. We sat in the reception area for an additional two and a half hours. We had to go back to reception repeatedly to get any updates. First we were told it was a maintenance issue and they had to switch rooms. Then they told us it was being cleaned. We were told they would upgrade our room for the inconvenience. We finally got into our room at 5:45. Reception called to check that we were comfortable and reiterated that we would be upgraded. Our toilet started leaking so we called reception. They sent maintenance. Then told us that yes they would upgrade us the next day for a few days but not for the entirety of our stay. We declined the upgrade. The bed was ok. The pillows were flat as a board and hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable nights . For our inconvenience they offered us dinner on the beach and access to the ex excellence club amenities. Day 1 we went to the private Beach. Nice set up. Concierge service with coveted cabanas. No lounge chairs to tan. I was given the option of laying a towel on the sand to get sun. Private dinner got rained out so dinner was on a private balcony. Dinner was good except for the roaming aggressive cats. We will not be going back. The staff was exceptional. The room size and layout fantastic. But our experience was not excellent.

If you’re looking for paradise, you can find it here at Excellence Oyster Bay for Adults. It’s impeccably maintained inside and out by the nicest people on the planet. We stayed in a Jr Suite w/an ocean view and it was large, clean and worth the $$. I’ve stayed at a Sandals before and this is equal to that quality but less the money. Whether you like the beach or pool, both are very clean and wait staff will come by to take drink orders. Dining is high end with the only buffet at breakfast. The food was delicious. The most important and delightful part are the staff - always pleasant and friendly We fell in love with Giovanne and Karissa - both went above and beyond even further than the already amazing customer service. We’re coming back!

After spending over $5K and treated the way we did, when we left the resort we had a great experience with locals who showed respect unlike the staff. The staff at the resort were rude and unhappy. No one smiled. And they were unhappy unless being tipped. Food was cold or just barely acceptable. Our room filled with smoke because there was a fire on the property or nearby. No smoke detectors went off and no one called to ask us to evacuate. We heard staff arguing as we were trying to relax on the beach. If I could give advice leave the resort and meet local true Jamaicans.

The resort is absolutely stunning! I was in awe every day of the beauty. My room was amazing! Like a resort within a resort with the swim up pool. My room floor was dirty and it took them a while to prepare it. Granted, I did arrive early, but a nice swifter would have covered the floor issue That’s the only problem I had. The FOOD was awesome. I couldn’t get enough.
