Great location: close to Khao San Rd and Rambuttri where there’s a lot of eating options and bars. There’s also a Taxi Boat dock close.
They have a lovely garden/pool area on the river with a free buffet breakfast.
Staff: staff very friendly and act quickly with any requests.
I first started staying here about 12 yrs ago and my second-last stay was 7 yrs ago and this time I noticed it’s starting to look a bit rundown, she could do with a refresh and some maintenance.
I like this hotel because it’s more “old-school” than the shiny new hotels popping up.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location for easy walking around the Khao San Rd area. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were adequate, but nothing special. The internet was intermittent. Noise level from room to room was too high as you could hear everything up and down the hall. Breakfast was satisfying with all the basic options freshly prepared, cereals, breads, yogurts, salads, fruit, eggs, sausages, bacon, stir fry, vegetables, fruit juices, coffee, tea, milk, etc.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff SO friendly and helpful. Great location: boat nearby to Wat Pho, Arun & palace plus Siam Icon. I walked to other sites and lots of bars/cafes/restaurants near to walk to.
Reviews prior made me nervous but it was so much better. Comfy bed, robes, slippers, toiletries & waters/tea/coffee. Bathroom small but still adequate. Many plug sockets.
Safe area.
Pool really good (long hours) & fab breakfast with different Thai curries each day (and all the Western food).
3 star bedroom but hotel nearly 4 star & our time there/Bangkok experience 10/10

The location was the only good part, walking distance to tourist attractions (the temples, Khao San Rd, and Rajamadernam Stadium, restaurants, lots of shopping and by the river). However, the hotel is very outdated, and there were little bugs in our room, even when we switched rooms we still found some. The overall cleanliness was okay but I did smell black mold. I forgot the names but the young lady with glasses at the front desk and the bellman were very nice and helpful. But the other two men working at the front desk were not. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great Thai escape

Very happy with our initial stay at the beginning of our trip to Thailand. Late arrival and the room was ready and we could get to sleep straight away. Breakfast was good though variety was not large for the 7 days that we stayed here. Staff are excellent and any issue was resolved very quickly. Always smiling and ready to assist. The independent tour desk is a must for any tour that you wish to take. You will be supplied with what has been promised unlike the ones on the street. Heard some horror stories from buying tours off the street ( floating market is one example).

Stay here for the location only. Close to the river taxi, Khoasan Rd, tons of cute cafes and restaurants are nearby. The view from the pool is very nice. Pool is nice but not maintained structurally. I sliced my foot on a broken tile in the pool. Hallways are dark and dingy and rooms are tired. Good for a night. Price reflects condition of hotel.

This hotel could be great because it has a nice breakfast/restaurant and swimming pool next to the river. Also it has a vintage feel of the golden era of Thai tourism. Unfortunately, it is so badly kept. Our room window did not close well, the air conditioning control was old (but working unlike many reviews say). My wife suspects the beds had bedbugs as we were always waking up itching somewhere.

This could be a great vintage hotel if refurbished a bit, without ruining its character. And also has a lot of affectionate customers coming for ages.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Nice pool and area. The brewery down the river trail is so nice too. Most areas were quite clean - the shower had some dirtier parts, but nothing too alarming. The AC works and the lounge is nice and cool. They let you store your bag for the day when you are waiting on the next transportation. The breakfast was good, not extraordinary. Would recommend

Very happy here!

I was greeted with a welcome cold drink on arrival. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I did have to get a cab from the Airport when i have messaged twice to arrange this. Evidently i should have done it when i made the booking. My room was fine, i had wished I'd booked a balcony room but on hindsight I'm glad i didn’t as the sun was on those rooms constantly and they overlooked the pool. I was very comfortable here, so much so, I've stay another 2days before heading up to Chiang mai. The hotel is homely if a little bit old-fashioned but it suited me as a solo traveller. It's pretty central, with things close by to do. You can get a boat trip outside, and the river view is pretty, especially at night. The swimming pool is a lovely addition in this heat.

This is a perfectly fine guest house that is reasonably priced for the area. It's great being near the river and slightly away from the more crowded areas of the city. Be sure to make use of the river taxi nearby and the abundant foot massage options just a block away. The breakfast is fine as well. Overall a good choice.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Le site à l’arrière cad piscine et salle à manger extérieur est superbe sur le bord du Fleuve. On voit constamment la circulation sur le fleuve et le soir tout est illuminé c’est très beau. Hôtel très très bien situé à 2 minutes de marche du début du quartier animé et à 5 minutes de Khaosan Road. Les chambres sont confortables même si des rénovations seraient un plus. Partout tout est très propre. Le déjeuner est varié et délicieux. La bouffe du restaurant également .

We requested king size and we got it but pillows were so hard and gave us sore neck. First impression as we entered the room, we smelled something bad, apparently it was Air con. Towels, shower and shower curtains were so dirty (grey old should have used as rags) that there was musty smell. Toilet seat had scratches on. We thought room was tight , bathroom shower was even tighter and leaking at the joints so didn’t get a proper shower. Had to ask for Iron and got it but no iron board. Air on was set on 26 C and we found temp hot but it was not adjustable. There was no phone in the room and we had to keep going downstairs in person to request if we needed anything.
So, good piece of property with excellent views of the river, high rises and the iconic bridge and walking distance to kao san market and other food shops.

The breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant menu as well, nice and not expensive. Stuff helpful you can order a taxi through them if you need to get tot the airport. Location is nice, there is a night market 10 minutes walk from the hotel with many various bars and street food. Also easy to get to the main attractions from the hotel. Good location.
Nevertheless hotel needs renovation, the shower was not comfortable for a tall person, otherwise good.

Love the breakfast.

Very clean. Didn't spend a lot of time in hotel room except to sleep. Housekeeping was great. But i must race about the breakfasts, especially early morning, lost of fresh fruit, western and Asian options, and a chef to make egg style dishes. Thai coffee is extra now at 60 baht when it used to be a part of the breakfast. Nevertheless, I'm not subtracting points for that. Staff aways helpful and courteous.

Great location to river taxi and street food. Breakfasts outdoors overlooking river is great way to start the day. Property is decent but worn. Staff somewhat jaded. My son was sick and they tried to charge us 1000 Baht to wash his bedding. I balked and they immediately went down to 500 Baht.

I stayed in a city view balcony room which was spacious for me, but I’m 5’4. The riverside terrace next to the pool is insta worthy. There’s a 24/7 7-11 close by and a couple weed stores right across the street. And the best walk to Khao San Road starts in the alley right next to 7-11 that goes through restaurants and stalls that look most amazing at night when the lights come on. The stalls also sell flavored disposable vapes, if you need one. And there is also a self-service laundromat before reaching the 7-11.

It’s good for what it is. Great proximity to Kho San Road, and the sights south of here are walkable. Dining areas are pleasant, and a small river boardwalk just outside the property gives access to the local boat tours and piers. Would recommend.

I requested a room on a higher floor as I'm a light sleeper. They told me the highest I could have was the 4th floor and gave me a room with a window facing the bush street when there were several options (same price) facing inside towards the \"garden\". I had to change rooms after 2 nights of not sleeping and the front desk person seemed annoyed. They charged me twice for laundry. I didn't have time to argue this point as I was also late for the airport (checking out of the hotel). The nighttime staff does not speak English. I had forgotten to book my ride to the airport so I did so late at night 2am (as I was still having trouble sleeping). I asked for a 9:30am pickup and at 3am the desk called me when I had finally fallen asleep to tell me my taxi had arrived. The hotel is conveniently located near khao San road and easy to hop onto the ferry. I noticed a few other hotels in the area and would recommend choosing one of them over this one (and I will do the same next time)

My stay at this place left me with very mixed feelings. This place probably was at it’s peak around 5-7 years ago. All of the furniture, bathroom facets, toilet very dated to the point that it is not comfortable. Only nice thing about my room was a bed. At the same time staff at the hotel was very nice, breakfast was good. Location is convenient if you want to explore old city.

Didn't really like much about this hotel at all. The rooms were dated and the bathroom was grubby. Thankfully, the bed was comfortable and the bed linen was clean.
The balcony floor was filthy and every time we came in from the balcony we had to wash our feet. There was a drainpipe that vented itself on our balcony, so every time it rained the balcony floor flooded.
The bar closed at about 11.00pm. There was a fridge where you could get a beer or soft drink and pay for it at reception. We did this on our last night and said we would like to sit outside, only to be told we could not as they had locked the door!
All in all, very disappointing and we would not go back.

Pictures of property were deceiving. There was no thermostat at our room and we were hot at night. Thankfully, we had a fridge and breakfast was decent. The hotel is a perfect place if you do not want to spend money and don't care about cleanliness. Our bed was quite comfortable, but the room was really small.

This is a pedestrian hotel with a great location. The river boat terminal is just a few steps away. The boats stop at terminals with walking access to the Grand Palace, Iconsiam shopping center, Wat Arum, etc. Also, easy walking distance to Khaosan road.
Rooms are utilitarian. Staff does what they need to do, but without enthusiasm.

I had a reservation for a superior room with a balcony and a view of the river. But the room I got was very basic, no balcony, and no view. They told me it was a \"superior room,\" and refused to give me a room with a balcony and view. I think what happened is that they overbooked because it was during the holidays. Expedia promised to look into but they didn't get back to me. So all in all booking this hotel was a really bad experience for me.
