Beautiful hotel! Near many sites- we had a balcony looking into the river and the lights from the bridge and river boats were beautiful!
The room was clean, comfortable and even had a free plate of fruit and water waiting for us.

Lovely property with professional, helpful staff. Quiet even if your room faces the street but recommend river facing. Good food. Very clean. Easy access to river taxi & ferry services. Close to several major temples & the palace & various museums. Close to Khao San Road. Lots of restaurants, spas & shopping very close by. Would definitely go back if in Bangkok again.

Great location. Nice hotel. Although we were put in a room with a river view right but over the hotel swimming pool. All people relaxing under the cabana could look into our room on 1st floor. The hotel is a short walk to river Ferry and to Khao San Road and surrounds. Charming district of Bangkok. Would recommend Riva Surya as its value for money in a great location.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel reception, we knew it was a special place. The staff were exceptional! The hotel is right on the river with amazing views. We had a room with a big terrace and sun loungers overlooking the pool and river, which was perfect for cocktails and river boats watching! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The cherry on top was the pool, so beautiful and there was nothing better than starting our day with a very early morning swim, when the “hotel” was still sleeping, the waitress would bring us a coffee…bliss!
The location is great, walking distance to Kao Sarn Road without all the noise and raucous people..Grab taxis are very cheap to get you places and the boat in front of the hotel gets you to temples and a great shopping centre! this hotel was the only 4 stars in our 2 weeks holiday in Thailand, but it was everything like a 5 stars, don’t hesitate and book it!
We stayed 3 nights here for temples, Chinatown and Kao sarn rd and 1 night at the Eastin phayathai to be in the city centre for shopping. Great experience, loved Bangkok.

We stayed here for one night and it was perfect. We chose the hotel for it's close location to the synagogue (across the road). The room and pool area were lovely and the staff were so helpful and accommodating to our requirements. The only negative I can think of is that you can hear what's going on in the hallways quite clearly from the room, but this didn't bother us. I would 100% recommend this hotel. ALSO, I had the best cappuccino of my entire stay in Thailand at the poolside bar.

If you are making your first trip to Bangkok, I highly recommend this as the place to stay. It puts you right by the river, which is a much quieter much more interesting place to be than the chaos of downtown. The hotel itself is very clean and very nice with excellent service. You can enjoy a quiet day just hanging out by the pool. You can take the river taxi to any number important. Or you can walk into the madness of the tourist neighborhood nearby I have stayed here several times and always enjoy it. The laundry service is too expensive so on that I’d just take advantage of the small laundry services on the street nearby.

Riva Surya has a beautiful location, and exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. The restaurant is open all day, and has a variety of dishes that are very well prepared. The room was very comfortable. The hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay, to the pool, as well to the rooms. Periodic maintenance is of course necessary, and it is unfortunate if one encounters it during one’s stay, but on the bright side, I think Riva Surya will be an exceptional place to stay when the work is completed.

Great costumer service. Very quiet and close to everything. My only recommendation will be to have a spa room. I had a Thai Traditional massage which was great but they used the area next to the pool and it was noisy since there were kids at the pool, plus they used the sofas that are not a massage bed. So they definitely need a spa room. Overall great hotel.

Everything about Riva Surya exceeded my expectations. Impeccable friendly service, gorgeous room, delicious food at the restaurant, fantastic massage by the pool, and smiles, lots of smiles. Everybody always answered all my questions and helped me with great recommendations for dinner and advice or what to do or expect. Perfect location near the major temples and attractions. New, the Front Desk Manager, was absolutely courteous and kind. He helped me calling for a restaurant reservation and, overall, he was always on top of things. I can’t wait to my next stay here. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel to stay at in Bangkok! Staff was incredibly helpful, stored our luggage during the day as our flight didn’t leave until 8pm and check out was at 12pm. Room and pool were beautiful. I’d highly recommend the hotel restaurant, the food was delicious and reasonably prices. The location of the hotel was amazing as well with the pier being a 5 minute walk away and khao san road close by. I would highly recommend!!

Riva Surya staff was tremendously helpful and dedicated to making sure our visit was pleasant. We stayed in an Urban room, which faced the street rather than the river. The room was clean, well equipped and quiet with double glass doors installed. I would highly recommend the hotel. It was very close to the tourist boats pier, which you can take to see the Grand Palace, Chinatown, etc. Across the street from the hotel are various \"alleyways\" that lead into vibrant restaurant/merchant activities.

Brilliant bolt hole for Bangkok

From the momemt we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles all round. Nothing was too much trouble. Check in was a breeze. The room was spotless and housekeeping attended every day of our 4 night stay. Do use reception to book a taxi as they arrange for it to be \"meter only\" which saves you money. Its well situated for all activities and good. A brilliant bolt hole for a Bangkok stay

Great location as within 5/10 mins walk of the bustling Khao San Road area, with lots of stall, shops, bar and restaurants. Easy to get taxi or tuk tuk to other areas at a very small cost. Everyone at the property was extremely nice from the porter at the door to housekeeping. They are attentive, always willing to help. I am a solo female traveler and felt extremely safe. The hotel will call a taxi for you and in 2 minutes driver will come to the parking lot. I did not explore the area around the hotel. This hotel is relatively close to the temples, far from the mall BMK. There is a restaurant onsite, I ordered a soup and it was excellent, friend rice was ok, delivery to my room very fast and courteous. My room faces the river. Room is nice and comfortable. Internet is fast

Nice hotel that was located on the river and in a quiet part of the city. The location made the view from the restaurant and pool at the rear it bit more interesting than some other hotels I have stayed in as the river traffic is always interesting to watch. I felt safe in this part of the city and there was a market and series of shops and restaurants not far from the hotel that I made good use of as I seldom eat in the hotel restaurant and like to go exploring. I also made use of this locations travel agency for a day trip as it has a much greater selection at a much lower price than those offered by the hotel. I would stay here again.

The property is beautiful; from the lobby to the rooms to the pool. It is clean and lovely. Looking out over the river from the rooms is great, however, the river is exceptionally noisy and the room sound-proofing is inadequate. With the turndown service they supply earplugs, with good reason. The dinner cruises up and down the river have music pumping and the barges are very noisy. The curtains were also not designed in a way to be blackout and plenty of light comes in the edges. So whilst being comfortable and pretty, the sleep quality is not good. The breakfast buffet also looked a bit sad (but I didn't eat). The iced latte I had by the pool was excellent.

The gym has one crosstrainer and one treadmill. The treadmill is of decent quality and the room is well airconditioned.

We enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel 2 years before, and returned for the last days of a long vacation with our sister & brother-in-law. The room was large with an oversized balcony, and great view of the river and pool below - I would only book the Riverview room. The pool was inviting with comfortable deck lounges. The location was walkable to restaurants, Khao San Rd, Starbucks, tourists sites, water & road transportation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel would not include breakfast - that was my oversight.
