The hotel is a little island in an area where you are not going to feel safe. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the train station (airport express) which was 200-300 meters.
However it was a high risk to make that walk. We ended up taking a taxi.

Don’t expect anything extra service-wise.
Since my plane was landing very early I asked if I can do an early check in. The person at the hotel ( I talked in person because I was staying there and I would return again in few days again) said no problem but they will charge me half day stay. It was fine with me. When I arrived early the morning of check in I was told the room isn’t ready and perhaps I wait because cleaning staff starts to work at 7am. After waiting two hours, in which during that time I was completely ignored (not even offered a glass of water), I decided it was ridiculous to wait a so I decided to leave the hotel and go spend the day outside, even though I was tired and I had a carry-on. When I mentioned my situation at check-in at 2pm people at the hotel couldn’t care less and I barely got “I am sorry, sir.” From my experience don’t expect anything extra service-wise from this hotel. People working here are enept and could less to be helpful. Sadly people at this hotel doesn’t get that hotel is about providing service to its customers.

When I arrived by cab to Luz Plaza São Paulo, I was worried. The area looked unsafe and it was night. But by sunrise, I was reassured and went on to enjoy a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything is excellent. The staff are professional, the breakfast (and dinner!) were delicious, the spa was such a treat, and the location proved to be excellent for metro access and Bom Retiro shopping. Definitely my favorite hotel in SP!

Meu quarto foi invadido duas vezes enquanto eu dormia. A primeira vez pela camareira e a segunda vez por um hóspede que a recepção deu a chave do meu quarto para ele. Não me senti em segurança onde qualquer um pode entrar no quarto e fazer o que quiser comigo ou com meus pertences. Totalmente inaceitável e sem desculpa. É um erro muito grave. E a gerencia do hotel não fez nada. Se cuidem

Quarto razoável, a limpeza na foi tão boa, é preciso melhorar nesse aspecto… Café da manhã bom, porém a tapioca e a omelete teria que pagar, muito deselegante… Um ponto positivo: chegamos antes do checkin e nos acomodaram!

Tem uma ótima localização, perto das ruas principais do Bom Retiro (José Paulino, Aimorés e Lombroso), os quartos são limpos e todos funcionários são educados e receptivos, principalmente as camareiras e o pessoal do restaurante. Eu e minha filha fomos muito bem recepcionadas pela Leide e pelo Márcio, dois garçons excelentes e prestativos. O único adendo a informar é a questão do ar condicionado, pois há um jeito específico que o faz gelar o quarto. De resto, foi uma excelente opção.
