This place is a gem. So perfectly placed in the Latin Quarter. Amazing staff. Walkable to all attractions in Galway. We stayed in the duplex and it was just amazing. The shower was maybe the best I’ve ever taken. We loved this place and wished we were here for longer.

The location was amazing but the room was very small. I wish there was a mini fridge or something else in the room. I would recommend to stay there a for 1 night and not 3 like us. The bed was hard and tv was broken.

In the heart of Latin Quarter, literal steps to all of the restaurants and bars along Quay. Loved being so close to everything. Room is very small but that’s the point. Affordable, great location (~10 min walk to bus or train stations or ferry). Staff was extremely helpful.

It’s exactly as represented. Small room for a bed and wash room. That’s really all you need since you will be out enjoying the beauty of Galway! It truly is in the heart of everything! Surprisingly very quiet.
I equate the Latin district to a nicer Bourbon street in New Orleans! Great food and people!

The location is RIGHT in the heart of the Latin Quarter--directly across from the Galway Girl sculpture. If you're an early riser (and therefore an early to bed person), you might need to alter your sleeping plans on Friday and Saturday night! Galway is a fun town and the Snug is at its epicenter! But with the windows closed and the AC on, the room is rather quiet considering its location amid the revelry. Super clean, super helpful staff, and super snuggly!

Shower was downstairs which was not convenient. Emergency lighting was too bright at night. The worst was how loud the street noise from the pubs at night. It was very difficult to sleep. The inside stairs were quite steep. Very limited space for something called a duplex. No place to sit other than the beds. Beds were very cramped for 2 people sharing and beds were placed where you had to climb over one another.

So pleasantly surprised by this stay! The rooms are nicely equipped and smart - lots of storage and hooks and useful amenities. It is across from a very lively nightspot/bar but they give you ear plugs. The bed was very hard so the sleep wasn't the greatest, but the location and well-appointed room make up for it.

Snug is an understatement. The room was small but also had no window. Toilet ran all night, shampoo/body wash dispenser in shower didn’t work, walls thin so you can hear your neighbors, doors opening and closing all night. The ONLY positive was the location. Person at check in and same at check out was extremely unhelpful with the 2 questions we asked. Feel extremely ripped off for what we paid.

Smack-dab in the middle of the tourist area which had major pros, since it was a short walk to everything we wanted to try and a short walk from the bus and train station.

Room was well-insulated from the noise and music of the area.

The location of this hotel was great! Right on a busy street for shopping and eating, but quiet inside of the hotel. It definitely was snug, which was fine for us for only one night. Spending more time in Galway might require a bit more room since there wasn't much space for our luggage to be open. You can set the temperature of your room yourself, and everything was updated nicely!

We were lucky to get one of the 3 units on top floor so had a cool sunroof window, heard the lively noise below but when closed, very quiet. Cool spot! Be prepared to haul your luggage up.

The location was amazing, and the concept and rooms themselves are cute and cozy. The blind on the window was terrible, and the room had a musty (wet) smell. There is no coffee machine (only instant coffee and a kettle) and there are no cups or wine glasses available. The door didn’t lock so was a little concerning and no safe. Comfy bed and the noise was not an issue at all, despite being right across from the Quay!

The staff were very friendly and the location in the Latin Quarter makes everything walkable. However, it's incredibly noisy! The music, shouting, singing and conversations go on until at least 300am! Also we got a larger room with 2 beds, but it was only a full with a bunk on top. There was no head room and a slippery, metal ladder. Was not what we expected.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, great location. The only issue would be the outside noise with this place being located essentially right in the heart of the entertainment district. The staff does provide you with earbuds in your room, and honestly those do help if the night is still going on.

If you're a light sleeper or not taking part in the festivities it may not be ideal for you. Beyond that though, this place is a good choice - very central to just about everything in Galway.

They call the hotel \"snug\" and they're not joking. The room is so small that you have to go outside to change your room. The bed was tugged in among three walls, with a shelf right next to it. The bed was kinda lumpy and very hard to get out, and you have to crawl on top of the person next to you to go to bathroom at night. There's no place to move around. However, the room was clean, the staff was nice, great location in the middle of the city center. But I think this is the room for one person. They do have bigger rooms and we probably do that if we ever go back.

Excellent location for food, drink and shopping. We used the Expressway bus to travel to Sligo. The bus station was in a short walking distance. Very lovely area.
Of course, with live music abounding (a plus) it was a little loud at night when trying to get to sleep. If you're a night owl this won't be a problem.

The Snug Townhouse was the perfect spot to kick off my trip to Ireland. Being right in the heart of the Latin Corner was perfect for walking to food, whether a great brunch at Dela or to a local pub for a drink. Highly recommend for solo travellers.

This hotel is located right I. The middle of Quay street close to all the activities. In fact it’s directly across from the Quays Bar which is convenient but also noisy. The bar opens late so the noise doesn’t come down until after 2 AM. Our room faces the street and we had to use the provided ear plugs. Other rooms not on the Quay street may be quieter. Our room was simple but was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly too. Would stay again and ask for a quieter room.

Right in the Latin Quarter. Very noisy at night and in the morning we listened to the conversation of the couple right next to our room. Note there is no elevator and we were up 3 staircases. Reception did offer to help us with our suitcases. No parking on site but was close by. Parking lot was super tight to get in and park but you get a discount so only 12 euros for 24 hours. Hard to pull suitcases across cobblestone. Tiny room but clean and well organized.

The room itself was very small. However that said, my bed was nice and big and comfy and there was a nice skylight right above which nicely induced smooth and natural sleep rhythms. Bathroom was neat and clean and had enough space to maneuver. The location literally could not be any better! Right across the street from Galway’s most famous pub! Moreover Quay St. is packed full of awesome pubs and restaurants.

We spent 4 days here, yes it’s tiny, but the location and staff make it worth it. When you step out of the hotel you are in the heart of Galway. This was amazing for my friend and I. Everything was super clean and the staff was so kind. They gave us dinner recommendations and ways to spend our days. There aren’t any elevators as a fair warning, and if you plan on having more than 1 or 2 suitcases get a bigger room. We had the smallest one.

Our room at the Snug House was incredibly snug. More like being in a trailer. The only sitting options were the bed or the toilet. That said, we were aware of the room size, just not prepared for actually existing in it. Also, late night/early morning party sounds emanated up to us until about 2am. They did supply ear plugs. Location was ideal for partying at the many, many pubs on the street. Most of the sound came from the pub below. If you’re aged 18-40 it might be ideal

Also, the rooms in the photos must be their very limited more spacious room because our room had no floor space- which is fine, but unexpected. The duplex was absolutely perfect for my son and I! We enjoyed our own space in the convenience of one booking. Each floor was more spacious than previous reviews indicated…but then again we don’t bring huge suitcases when we travel. There are cubbies under the beds to tuck away baggage, and the top floor was fairly spacious, as you can see in the picture. My son took the middle floor, and it was a bit smaller, but still sufficient. They do street sweeping or keg wrangling very early, so take advantage of the provided earplugs if you’re easily roused. The location is right in the heart of town, and was an easy (maybe 10 minute?) walk from the coach station if you’re coming from another west coast town (we traveled from Donegal town). Highly recommend, and I would gladly book this location for a future visit!
