The room was clean and tidy and had everything needed.
The only downside was how cold the room and bathroom were despite having the heating turned up as high as it would allow. We had to keep our coats on when not under the duvet. However, it was winter and when we stayed previously during springtime this was not a problem.

Staff were so kind, friendly and attentive. The food was really nice too but the bed was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on.. it was rock hard and has left my back in a bad way. Be more comfort on a concrete floor. Should start putting in the email itinerary for guests to bring ibuprofen to protect their backs.

The room was very clean and spotless. The hotel staff were also great when we were checking in and out.

This was the first place we didn’t have to pay for parking since arriving to Ireland. The hotel had onsite parking both around the building and under the building. There were lifts to accommodate those unable to use stairs.

One downside was that we didn’t want the house keepers to clean the room while we were away as I’ve had things stolen in the past with that. They came in and cleaned even though we didn’t leave the sign on the door to refresh our room. Nothing was stolen or touched and they did do a good job cleaning up, but still would like my privacy to be protected.

The room wasn’t ready we arrived. When we were able to get into our room there was an overpowering smell best described and someone dumping an entire bottle of cologne on the carpet. When we mentioned it we were told to try turning on the ac to circulate the air. This did not work. Hours later the smell was strong as ever an made it very difficult to sleep. The shower dripped at night as well. The nexf day upon check out we again mentioned the overpowering smell and were told it was antiseptic spray or possibly air fresher used by the cleaning staff. Simply said they would mention it. Would not stay again or recommend

Not enough plugs near the beds for charging devices. Need more pillows. Bed making is abysmal! Short sheeted at tip and cif you are going to use flat sheets, housekeeping needs to use hospital corners. For a 4 star hotel, I shouldn't have to remake the bed when I try to get in it! Bottom sheet came off completely and I was looking at the bare mattress. Former housekeeping staff for 5 years and we were trained for this. Do better please!!!

The room was nicely sized, and had a very large tub. My only wish was that there was more light - I honestly thought that some lights needed replacing… no, the room was just that dark. I have a feeling the staff thought I was goofy for thinking a smoke alarm was a light fixture, but hey- maybe it’s a cultural difference in expectations of lighting in hotel rooms? :)

Aside from the restaurant in the hotel, you have to walk 20 mins to the city center for food/activities. I knew this when I booked- I think it was worth the savings. Just be prepared to be next to a gas station- but it surprisingly had very tasty ice cream!
Breakfast was a decent continental spread (bland eggs but fresh fruit salad, yogurt, and bread) I did wish that the homemade brown soda bread was available for more than just a few days out of my 2 weeks stay.

Overall I think it was great value for the price, and would recommend it.

Solid hotel for a one night stay

When we first arrived, we were greeted and offered a different room since our room had \"small\" windows and the new room would have more of a \"view.\" The view was on the first floor, of the outdoor parking lot and had several men, outside smoking, looking into our room. The staff was very understanding and gave us keys to the new room. Turns out the small windows are actually a benefit if you don't want sun beating in when it's warm (the thermostat stays at 19 degrees celsius) and/or you want to sleep in. Finally, we had to find someone to check us out because there wasn't anyone at the front desk. The room itself was lovely. Although, we still find it odd that Ireland bathrooms don't have outlets and the beds only have a blanket (too warm for) and a fitted sheet (no top sheet). The bathroom mirror was designed for tall people but the counter space was large enough for two people to get ready. The shower was AMAZING. Love that they offer free parking and it was a close drive to the Latin Quarters. Because we stayed at several places during our visit to Ireland, I am being very picky. It was not a bad visit but it was not our favorite place to stay.

This was one of our favorite stays and it was an equally comfortable as the 5 star hotel we stayed in. We stayed in 7+ hotels this trip with mostly higher end accommodations and 3 different types of rooms per stay so we got to see most of the rooms each hotel offered with a group of 7.
