Exceptional resort with lush tropical gardens, stunning beach and great stuff , welcoming and always ready to assist! The rooms/ bungalows are simply stunning as well. The perfect place with the most delicious seafood!

The resort grounds and facilities are excellent and it must be set on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Food was good- mostly buffet style- but outside of your meal plan the food and drinks are expensive in comparison to other places on the island (twice the price of what we paid at our first resort). The rooms are average size but have a lovely spacious patio with chairs and hammock. A sun lounger would have been a nice addition. The staff are super friendly but overall we found the resort to be quite impersonal which was a bit disappointing especially compared with the resort we stayed at for our first week. The resort is reportedly being sold and there are plans to build over the Spice Garden area. It will be interesting to see how this changes the ambience and crowdedness of the resort in the future.

We chose Zuri for the second week of our honeymoon, as we wanted some luxury after a busy week on safari in Kenya and we were not dissappointed! This is truly one of the best hotels we have stayed at, from the beautiful rooms (we stayed in a standard bungalow), to the absolutely exceptional standard of food across all of fhe restaurant options at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet breakfast is without doubt the best buffet breakfast we have experienced, a vast range of choices which change slightly day to day. We generally chose to eat a light lunch either on the beach or by the pool each day, the standard of which was also excellent. We ate at both the buffet dinner and also at the A L Carte, both of which were fantastic. We also chose to book the \"Romantic dinner\" on the beach for our last night which was also a wonderful private dining experience. We also booked a couples massage at the spa which was very enjoyable. The hotel offers 2 daily wellness sessions included with all boards basis, we took part in the yoga sessions which was a lovely way to start the day, as well as making use of the gym. We also went on the \"spice tour\", a tour of the Zuri spice garden, which was very interesting. Both the private beach and pool area were absolutely beautiful, with more than enough sun beds for the guests. Finally, the level of service from every single member if staff was exceptional, everyone was extremely attentive and very friendly. We would definitely book again!

The resort is so beautiful and located on one of the best beach fronts of Zanzibar however, the service was terrible one of the worst check in/out experiences they are very slow and made so many mistakes in our bill we had to spend 45min during check out. The rooms cleaning are not really good and I had to go back to them several times to re do the work. The food is below average .. its really a shame that services were not up to the standards of this beautiful property

The place exudes luxury everywhere! Absolutely loved the moon shower experience with no fear of being exposed as the villa is all engulfed in a vegetation facade!

The room itself is carefully laid out in a very thoughtful way with an air con system that flows through the bed for a slumber I didn’t want to get out of! The bedding was exquisite!

It has a very spacious balcony with a hammock and some chairs.

I got to be transported for meals in a buggey! I felt like royalty!

I didn’t want to leave the villa honestly but had to grudgingly!

Will definitely go back without even a thought!

The place is to die for!!!!!!!

Amazing services added to the property. Eco friendly. Beach amazing. Just when we asked for milk to the room they did not bring it. Food is not that great at the buffet restaurant. Gym is not a gym, some outdoor park that needs work. Security is great at the beach. Service with drinks are great. Evening sunset experience is fantastic. Resort and room and plantation is to die for. My favorite beach in Zanzibar.

The rooms and property are beautiful and every staff member was super friendly and attentive. The only downside is if you leave the property and take a walk on the beach you are hounded by people trying to sell you crap. One guy literally followed me for miles. I would go back in a heartbeat but wouldn’t leave the property.

The property was EXACTLY as it appeared on the website. Beautiful grounds, including the spice garden. HUGE bungalows and being surrounded by beautiful foliage. Clean beach and easy access to the ocean. Great staff. Two blue monkeys resident in the trees. GIANT African snails all over. The food was so good. Menus changed often and I was there for one week. Accommodating staff make arrangements to see things away from the property such as tours of Jozani Forest, Stone Town and Prison Island to see the giant tortoises.

Overall a gem but not the paradise it could be.

Top quality result with understated but top quality accommodation, excellent food and outstanding customer service from all members of the team.
I could not rate it overall a top score because one element spoilt the total experience for us.
The beach is white sand, with clear waters, but certainly not relaxing much of the time. With good reason the beach is not private. Given that it is one of the best on the island, therefore there are a lot of passing visitors. The hotel does restrict them from coming in to the property. The issue is the conveyor belt of hawkers trying to sell. They stand looking at the guests on the sunbeams, and as soon as you go for a swim, pounce on you. Add to this, impromptu african dance routines (again looking for tips), and jet skis. A great beach for people watching, but not the best a lot of the time for total relaxation and to enjoy the beauty. Not, I would stress the hotels fault. We felt that the whole threat of over tourism is a big problem on the island and needs to be addressed urgently by the Government.

Zero hygiene at the breakfast kitchen. They handle eggs with used gloves , and their ‘clean ‘ plates had broken egg shells stuck to them. Service is slooooowwwwww. If you ask for milk, sugar and coffee - that’s 3 trips for the waiter .

Zuri Zanzibar is INCREDIBLE!! 5 Star service, stunning setting, perfect beach, wouldn't go anywhere else in Zanzibar, we have done other resorts, with both incentive groups and privately, This is by far the best resort in Zanzibar! We will be back!

I couldn't rate this place highly enough - the pictures online don't do it justice! Everything from the rooms, restaurants, pool and beach are designed beautifully and we loved how each cabin is really secluded in it's own little jungle. The food was delicious - especially in the a la carte dinner restaurant and overall the service was great.
We will definitely be back in the future.

Tropical paradise!

Very, very nice! I've seen a fair share of high-end resorts and I can attest with confidence that Zuri truly is awesome! We stayed in a bungalow - it is very comfortable, clean, spacious, the terrace is lovely - facing the ocean and situated on a hillside so you catch the ocean breeze. The outside shower is amazing - you can see an attention to detail at every step. The resort has an abundance of tropical vegetation - a veritable garden of Eden! The food is pretty good but can get a bit boring after the 3rd day or so. The beach is very nice - just like in the pictures! The difference between high and low tide is small so you can swim all day. Overall - very nice and worth the money!

This property is amazing, it’s low key but stylish, highbrow but not ostentatious, it has everything you’d ever need. the staff are incredibly friendly and always available.

if there was 1 complaint, it’s not so much about this hotel, but so many hotels, why when you travel across the world do you want to eat the food from your own home. Tanzania has an incredible history of cuisine and cultures, it would be nice to see those honored in a hotel of this caliber. people can wait a few days for their fish and chips or hamburgers and pasta.

Guys, i’m gonna be honest. Me and my missus are a bit high maintenance and love luxury. This place is a piece of heaven. Everything about it staff, accommodation even beach is better than anywhere around kendwa. Sunsets are brilliant to watch on beanie bags. Food could be improved on buffet nights but a la carte menus are pretty good and high standart. Its a bit expensive but its worth every penny. Attention to detail everywhere, everything is just right. We’ve had 4 nights and there was no availability so had to move to la gemma del lest which is pretty much few resorts down and we were in shock. Its also 5* but after Zuri it looked like 3 star if that. If you want proper hotel Zuri is the place to go. Its so green it feels like you live in jungle. Plants everywhere around bungalows very private and cosy. Inside bungalows all furniture well made and world known brands not some cheap stuff. Beds very comfortable best sleep ever. Good shower, good toilet. Theres even outside shower in the terrace.. really cool and its only years old i believe so everything is clean. Staff cleans room like at least couple time. Not even sure but every time we came back it was clean and tidy inside. At the end of stay some change went missing from the room so i would suggest to keep everything in safe provided in the room but all in all if brilliant place.

Staff were super nice and the service was excellent all round,

It was great the hotel looked after me well. In particular a gentlemen at front desk called Ramadan was brilliant he knew I was short on time and helped me experience a great break. The property is beautiful and location superb. I wasn’t impressed with the food but other then that 10/10.😎

Stay away . Do not book this property the staff are not at all bothered to make your stay pleasant . Worst management i have seen in the hospitality industry ants on the towels 15 mins to fetch one spoon by then the food was cold. The all inclusive is not worth it as you get a buffet and the food truly is awful gave us an upset stomach. Al a carte u pay for and is not included Hairs in the butter at breakfast.
Hasnt happend in any other hotels i stayed at in zanzibar. Do yourselves a favour i didnt pay attention to the negative reviews but what they say is true 100 per cent. Told the management our concerns and he wasnt bothered did nothing to try to remedy the situation and before we went to him we went to other staff with little joy. They refused us dinner at al a carte as we hadnt booked yet the restaurant was empty the following day we booked a table we specifically wanted and they gave it to another couple. How ironic. And for the 3 days i was there i didnt sleep late night music all night from neighbouring hotel with full moon parties this is the part they dont tell u and they sell it as some idylic getaway which is flase advertising. When we told the manager all he said was this is a back packer area so if i had known that id never have booked it. If the music wasnt enough to contrnd with our villa was near the restaurant qnd i was subjected to hearing them drag tables and chairs all night when cleaning. Again reported this but no1 was bothered.

Beautiful! This property is just magnificent. We were greeted warmly and given every bit of courtesy. The food was out of this world. Each meal was an experience in itself. Really, I can't say enough about the excellent food!! The rooms were wonderful and it was so nice to have our own detached little place! The terrace was great to sit out and watch the sunset or practice my yoga in the morning!

My husband and I had an amazing time at Zuri Zanzibar for our honeymoon. This resort is gorgeous! From the moment you arrive at the wooden gate, everything is beautiful and uniquely designed with not a detail missed. I have to admit that the section of the beach that Zuri Zanzibar is the best that we saw compared to our neighbors to the right and left. Everyone was friendly and service was truly above and beyond. Definitely want to shout out both Lydia's, Revacatus, Sombwe, and Chidi who were amazingly friendly, they were so much fun to talk to, and they really took care of us during our stay. Our room was gorgeous with a beautiful ocean view, I still very much miss the outdoor shower and lemon grass scented toiletries. The food was great too, fresh and plentiful. We appreciated how easy it was to book excursions (thanks Hamad!) and all of the special touches that came along with our Honeymoon Package. All in all, I would highly recommend Zuri Zanzibar, you won't regret it!

Massentourismus ohne Klasse. Dollarzeichen überall. Hier fühl man sich nicht als Gast sondern als Cashcow. Selbst für einen Sundowner am hoteleigenen Strand wird pro Person 35 $ extra kassiert. Absolut überbewertet. Strand komplett überlaufen man fühlt sich eher wie auf einem überfüllten Straßenfest als an einem entspannten Strand.

Die Hotel Anlage war wunderschön und sauber, das Hotelpersonal war unglaublich nett. Wir würden auf Fall jedem dieses Hotel empfehlen. Das einzige was uns nicht gefallen hat, war dass wir die Softdrinks extra kaufen mussten. Zumindest zum Abendessen sollte ein Drink inkludiert sein.

Sehr gutes luxuriöses 5 Sterne Hotel

Das Zuri Sansibar ist wohl das beste 5* Hotel, welches auf der Insel zu finden ist. Leider ist der Preis daher auch sehr hoch und im Vergleich zu anderen 5* Hotels übertrieben. Das Fitnessstudio ist für ein derartiges Hotel leider eine Plamage, weil dort anstelle von Fitnessgeräten nur ein paar Hanteln und Bälle zu finden sind. Das Outdoor Studio ist leider schon sehr abgewittert.
Alles in allem ein Top Hotel mit 2 guten Restaurants.
