Room although spacious, would benefit from an upgrade. Bathtub had black mould growing in the grout.

The lobby is in the basement of another hotel which was confusing to navigate and find at first. Feels like more of a budget option.

Not recommended

Very old apartment and everything is not working well. Upholstery was dirty and stained. Not recommended. For this price we could have got a much cleaner and better hotel.

Everything you need literally can be found within minutes of walk. I mean everything! Ranging from necessities to luxury goods or electronics and sporting stufs. A cinema within Sunway, a theme park, a huge-ass pool with the worlds largest Wave Pool. I mean, can't really as for more apart from the very old furniture that felt like it was falling apart...

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The photos posted are nothing like the actual condition of the room we stayed in. The room needs a serious update. Curtains have holes, bedsheets and pillows are full of stains, towels smell foul, and the furniture are worn out. Did I mention check in and out is down at the basement level where the emergency exit and parking garage entrance is? The only positive things I can think of is the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the hotel reception staff. Please stay away from this hotel!

This is the worse hotel I had ever stay. Will not come back again. Smelly and uncomfortable stay. Fridge is not cool and the parking lot have not operate , can’t get out and I get hurt no one help. Ridiculous!

Hotel room was old, pillows were old and flat, mattress hard. Air con compressor was noisy. Worst of all, reception only operates from 8am to 10pm. I check out at 7:30am and couldn’t get my deposit back!!

In need of upgrading!

The check in counter was pathetic. We walked through a posh lobby only to be ushered to the basement. What a drastic change. Looked more like a goods receiving counter more than a check in counter.

Rooms were clearly old and definitely lacked maintenance. The shower curtains smelt bad but we could not get them changed as there wasn’t any housekeepers then. Only consolation was the large room!

Definitely in need of an upgrade urgently!!

Resort suites is co located in the same building as Sunway Pyramid Hotel and shares the same parking facilities. So it is very convenient for shopping, dining and visiting the Sunway Lagoon theme park. Just wear your swim gear from your room to go. Parking is not complimentary for Resort Suites guest nor is there any per entry system i.e. you pay general public rates and you can go in and out as necessary. Rates is about RM20 per day from midnight to midnight but I couldn’t make sense of the exact rates. The room has 1 bathroom, a kitchenette with some basic cutlery and crockery , 2 beds and balcony. Towels and basic toiletries are provided and there is a minimal housekeeping service everyday (change towels and empty bins). The check in process was abit wonky, with Resort Suites not having my booking despite me receiving an email from them asking if I needed airport transfer services. While the counter staffer was friendly and tried his best, his supervisor told him to tell me Expedia messed up my booking and I should check with “Raintree”, apparently another smaller operation also operating out of the same set of serviced apartments. I had to contact Expedia and Craig from Expedia was very helpful in clearing up my situation. Kudos to Craig and the unknown male counter staff from Resort Suites for smoothing out everything but points deducted for the Resort Suites backend for first losing my booking and then trying to duck by pushing me to another operator.

Nice and comfort stay.

Nice and clean room with kitchenette, queen sized bed. Pretty good view looking at lagoon and water sport activities from the room. Aircon look new and is quiet during the stayed.

The reception counter check in is at basement. No lift. Have to go by staircase. Cleaning service time is after 3pm. Even I had to call to get the cleaning service at 9.30pm. No facilities. Quality of all equipment are poor condition.

Came during CNY. We took family room. In Expedia indicated free extra bed for children aged below 2 years and below. We have requested for extra bed for our kids age 1 & 2 yrs old.And was told there that they will charge us $100 per night. After I argue of what has been mislead us that indicated as FOC, now they change the condition. But they still charge us $400 in total for the extra bed. I could hv book another room but it’s too late coz fully book most places and I had paid for my 1st room. And the kids were dead tired cos of Long journey to KL. And then there is No room service as well. Dissapointed cos it’s expensive for a hotel that is like a service budget apartment.

Nothing unique about the hotel itself but the location is tops! Its connected to the mall and only 5 mins walk to Sunway Lagoon. Hotel reception is situated right below the grand Sunway Hotel, separated by a flock of stairs, so huge difference in class. Its basically a hall, a counter with two staff. Didn't bother us though the setting is quite strange.
You have to pay a refundable bond of RM150 when checking in. Plus RM10 a day non refundable for non citizens.
Room is clean overall and equipped. Self service laundry is at level 12. Customer service responded queries pretty quickly.
Best location to stay and value for money, if your focus is shopping and theme park. No frills hotel but good enough for just to crash after a long day.
Only complain was the sofa bed was filthy so we all ended up sleeping in one bed. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and would return.

Room is great and the location is good, right next to Sunway Pyramid Mall. Reception is located at the car park floor, need to walk thru the carpark entrance or the staircase from Sunway Pyramid Hotel Ground floor. Room is good, got a kitchen for basic cooking. Overall a happy stay.

The interior of room and reception like 3 stars

The location is good. But the room is a bit rundown. Reception is at B1 car park, no class at all. And the price charged like 4 stars, for a 3 stars hotel.

Aircon was noisy, refrigerator was malfunctioning. Towels were old. Mattress is old and does not have the back support anymore. Room was noisy with furniture dragging noise in the late night. Driver don't know the hotel & have to go to another hotel to GRAB.

Basically a studio or small 1-bedroom apartment unit.

Cheap and you get an average stay for the lower price. It isn't fancy but is across the road from 24hr eateries and a pub. The check-in counter is located in B1 of Sunway Pyramid Hotel. You are next to the Carpark entrance but you also get direct access to the Shopping Centre through Pyramid Hotel.

Staff are helpful and everything works except, the bath in both the rooms we stayed in could not be stoppered tightly enough to actually hold water to run a bath.

The Deluxe Studio and Executive Suite we stayed in basically have a King Bed for sleeping. The latter claims to come with a sofa bed but it is just a sofa in a small living area that doesn't convert to an actual bed. So the staff gave us a free mattress.

We would find it a squeeze for a 2 adult 2 child family.

Hotel room and cleanliness were average. Hotel does not have food for room service. Hotel does not have other facilities like gym, pool, restaurant, etc. Hotel does not have an actual lobby. The entrance to the building leads to a lobby for another hotel. A small check-in/check-out counter is located at the basement lift lobby for this hotel. Gives a dodgy feeling.

Room presented nicely from a distance.
Sliding doors leading to the balcony did not close & seal properly letting in heat and noise. The split system rattled on the wall when used in hi speed, condensation from the unit ran down the wall onto the floor. The sliding wardrobe doors did not slide and failed to close properly leaving the internal light on all night. Only one power outlet on the right bedside table, nothing on the left side. No instructions how to use the tv, DVD player & contoller in cabinet. Included free wifi in the package but not given the wifi password.
All up an ok room for a short stay, however would be painful if longer than 1-2 nights, not really quality for money. Breakfast and other items not included in standard cost. Staff were polite and friendly.

Resort Suites at Bandar Sunway is next to Theme Park and Shopping Mall suitable for a small family.The staff are friendly and helpful. Have a broken refrigerator was replaced immediately. Have a broken kettle was replaced immediately. The room is equipped with a kitchen and the room is clean everyday.

Below expectation. During Check in receiption warn on fine by hotel if found following:
1) Smoking in room or balcony gone Rm300
2) Found additional occupant fine Rm400
3) Car parking must pay Rm 7 not free
4) Late check after 1pm pay additional
After this briefing i dont feel the mood staying this hotel again. This can be notify in a more polite manner.

Convenient location but confusing entrance!

This Resort Suites at Bandar Sunway is actually more like a fully-serviced apartment than a hotel. The room is very spacious. There is also a kitchen complete with a big rice cooker, plates and utensils, as well as a fridge, although we didn't feel the need to cook, as there are a lot of food paradise within easy walk, as its location is just above Sunway Pyramid Mall. We enjoyed our 4 nights' stay at this place as we love its convenient location the most. However, I have to admit that this place definitely needs an upgrade, especially in the property maintenance and overall preventative measures against ants/ small insects.
Tips: Remember to ask the taxi or Uber driver to drive you to the East wing of the Sunway Pyramid, where the entrance of Sunway Pyramid Hotel is. Entering this place is also very confusing! We sort of had to walk down the stairs to the bottom Carpark to take the correct elevator to bring us to the Main Reception on Level 12 for Check-in and Check-out. But the staff at the Reception were friendly and very accommodating to our needs with luggage storage or printing our flight booking. So thanks to the Staff for ensuring we had a pleasant stay.
