The amenities were very poor, and we had to report issues every day during our stay. Basic facilities were not properly maintained, which made the experience frustrating. Breakfast options were extremely limited, and there was no juice or milk available for kids. Overall, the lack of proper amenities and attention to guest needs made the stay disappointing.

We stayed 4 nights in a very spacious 2 bed apartment, which had an additional room that could be used as an office. Check in was easy and we managed to get access to our room a little bit earlier which was great as we’d landed very early in KL. The overall decor is nice, if a little tired but that didn’t affect anything really. Beds all very comfortable but do expect some traffic noise from the main roads early in the morning.

The pool area is fantastic, it’s pretty much always shaded and there are some hot tubs, jacuzzis on the side. The gym is also very well equipped and never busy.

The location is great for central KL, 8 mins walk to Pavillion mall and you can then use the covered walkway to get to KLCC and the Petronas towers. It’s easy to get Grab taxis and there is also free parking if needed, local train stations are also very close.

We didn’t have breakfast included in our stay, which is fine as there are plenty of cafes just downstairs - Fatimah’s cafe is perfect for local cheap eats. There are also food stalls every weekday lunchtime for the office workers but it’s well worth wandering over and trying a few bits and pieces.

We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in KL.

It’s good but could be better

It was great to have the extra room over a hotel and the pool is great.

There is a long list of rules when you check in! Seem to be wanting to avoid “party” types.
The lounges have the worlds most uncomfortable sofas and only small so not great to sit inside together as a group/family. The kitchen is ok and the rooms ok and clean.

The breakfast is not great if you are in a hurry (you can exchange your coupons at local places) but the quality and quantity was good and there are plenty of places around. I would encourage you not to take breakfast through the hotel and just go to the venues yourself - more flexibility.

It is an easy walk to pavilion a supermarket and other restaurants which is good. If on a short stay I would chose the local Novotel, if on a long stay I would choose an Airbnb and if I want a fancy hotel I would stay at the ruma or eq. Ruma is better than EQ. (I have stayed at all 3)

In an otherwise good, and well equiped apartment, the only problem remains it's disfunction...
There is a good washing machine and drier.... but no washing powder to wash with.
There is a perfectly good set of crockery and cutlery - and a sink with water..... but NO washing detergent.

This not a critique of E&O Residences per se... but applies to most such short stay apartments I have stayed in, world wide. They just don't function - due to a lack of insight.
If a supply of small sachets of washing detergent and sponge, and washing powder were supplied or made available, everyone would be a lot happier to return.

The worst suite I have experienced in Kuala Lumpur, mostly stayed at the face suite, platinum suite, Melia, etc. wanted to try something different, bad idea. Room is horribly hot due to sun, the AC is inadequate. No USB port. Laundry detergent NOT provided, who travel with detergent. 2 little bottles of water per day with extreme heat.

Stayed here last year as well and I feel like the rooms are a bit dated and probably need some further renos. The AC in the room was a bit weak even after I asked and got someone in to change it. It was ok, but couldn't really get it colder. The fridge had issues when I first checked in, they had to change a new one. And finally there were ants ! They popped up only if you left sugary food out on the tables though.

Location wise, it's still really good. Next to several big and popular attractions.
Nearby coffee shops (zus within a five minute walk), small supermarket (selections etc) and pavilion about ten minutes away.

Oh another plus is the size of the room and the fact that they have a washer and dryer available.
It's more an upmarket apartment than a five star hotel. Still decent though.

It is a badly maintained building. We changed rooms twice due to leaking showers and bidets, aircons not working, the safe didnt work.
However, the saff are very friendly and accommodating. The location is not really great though.

E & O - Poor Management

Good : 10-15 minute walk to KLCC mall. Monorail stop within 3 minutes. Room spacious, clean, kitchen area fully fitted, microwave, washer and dryer, fridge etc. Swimming pool good.
Bad : Booked room through Hotels.com. Paid for room for 6 adults. Management refused to provide extra beds. Tried to charge me £xx to use 2 beds for 4 nights. Would not negotiate/ compromise- told me to take it up with Hotels.com. I paid for 1 extra bed £xx and was given an extremely uncomfortable camp bed. Despite repeated requests for a proper bed or an extra or better mattress I was met with silence or empty promises. Gave up in the end. See photograph of camp bed £xx for this ? Really??

This issue meant that the stay was spoilt. I was told by one member of staff that this has happened before - why had Hotels.com and E&O not resolved previously. Why had I paid for a room for 6 adults and then received beds for 4. Poor service.

A terrible stay - do not book.

Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Room Issues:
- The microwave's open button is broken, making it unusable.
- The pans are filthy and old, rendering them unusable due to hygiene concerns.
- The cups have coffee stains; we scrubbed them properly before using.
- The bathtub had hair in it, making it too disgusting to use. It was still there on the fourth day when we checked out despite 'daily housekeeping'.
- There was no ironing board or iron, even after thoroughly checking all corners and cupboards.
- The washing machine was faulty and required pressing the power button about 20 times before it worked. I called reception for maintenance but none arrived, until the button eventually worked.
- The dryer was broken, and we had to go to reception on the third day to request a new one because I really needed to use it.
- A leaky bidet caused a puddle in the bathroom, and we had to turn it off after every use.
- The tap water tasted and smelled awful, even after boiling, so we only drank bottled water throughout our stay.
- Although the bed appeared clean, the inner duvet was filthy when held against the light. I only saw this on the last night we stayed there 4D3N and threw the covers off the bed. Explains why I felt itchy for two days, yet I thought it was due to the dust levels outside (see attached pictures).

Terrible service too - refer to Google reviews.

It's frustrating that the room was promoted as having a king bed when it actually only had a queen bed. It's unclear what I'm paying for when I don't receive what was advertised. Additionally, being charged extra for additional towels and blankets seems excessive. Charging tourism tax during check-out instead of at check-in adds to the confusion. Overall, I'm disappointed with these unexpected charges and discrepancies in the room amenities. It's disappointing to see watermarks in the bathroom and bathtub. While it's nice to have a telephone in the room, it's frustrating when it's difficult to reach staff members by phone.

It was sucha unpleasant stay, first day the aircon wasn’t working at all and it was super humid. Followed by the next day, there was no water in the shower , had to wait till they fix at it till 5pm. I checked out the hotel 1 day earlier and left for good after all the hassle. Totally ruined my trip.

A lovely residence in central KLCC location. A short walk from all the hustle and bustle. Only critique was that the Breakfast options were a bit limited (black tea and coffee only included) and only rich, savoury meal options which felt quite restrictive. Excellent stay. Check in process (especially if you are driving in) was a breeze. Front gate staff gave clear instructions on where to go and what to expect during the process. Watch out though if you are coming in on a Friday. There’s a street food fair that takes some careful manoeuvring and patience on your part.

Nearby premises are not safe, are office and residential areas. The photo and the entity are very different, and the ornaments and paint lights do not match. The room was very damp and smelly, the toilet ceiling dripped brown water, and the water from the bath would be clogged. There are no wash basins or toilets in the entertainment hall and dining room on the first floor, and used cups cannot be washed. There are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, one humid and one too hot. There are 2 rooms on the 3rd floor, both very hot, one of which we dare not use because there is a painting scripture (I don't understand the purpose)

Benefits: TV and Netflix, a pool but old in need of repair, only one pool cue.

The stay was a disaster. Turned on the air-conditioning when I checked in at 10 pm. When i got back from dinner at 1145 pm the room was still hot and stuffy. Called the front desk and a technician came shortly to check the aircon. He was puzzled but went into the switch room to do something. The room started to get cooler about 2 hours later. Bad and disturbed sleep as the room wasnt completely cooled. Couldn't use the internet because the WiFi was out the whole night. I also went down to inform the front desk that I will be checking out tomorrow after making a reservation at another hotel. I asked the front desk personnel to process a refund which he agreed but said he couldn't do it from his end. He said i should speak to hotels.com to process a refund.

Ignore the bad reviews, but be aware this is a residence not a hotel. Check in was flawless. Great location for accessing the local tourist attractions.
Breakfast was a bit of a let down, small serving from a local cafe at the front of the premises. Not the usual buffet you might expect from a hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. The washing machine in our room tricked the power, staff attempted to fix and when they couldn't they transferred our washing to another machine and returned when washed. No room service available and no food or drink allowed at the pool.

We enjoyed our stay at the E&O residences in KL. We had a 1 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and comfortable. The apartments are well located - close to restaurants, supermarkets and tourist attractions. It would be good if the apartment was a little better maintained. The bathroom vanity units had been water affected and the walls could do with some paint. If you want to self cater the kitchen could have more in the way of cooking utensils. We would happily stay at the E&O residences again.

Sadly the Kitchen worktop and main bedroom headboard covered was with ants, there was a strong foul smell in second bathroom, no spare loo paper in any of the three bathrooms, A real dissappointment after looking forward to a stay in a well respected hotel group property in the middle of KL. Only good is security and location. Unit provided is terrible...everything is run down, dusty, dirty, ants crawling everywhere on tables top. Even on sofa!!!....very aged unit. Lots of improvement needed from units condition, to the service rendered by staff. The front desk lady with no name tag need to improve her service attitude....will never stay, quite disappointed with this residence group. Will avoid booking their properties in future. They seriously need to look into training of their staff. Should hv listen to others feedback online and choose others.

Although it has an excellent location but I wouldn’t stay here again.
Staff are very friendly, but the property is old, squeaky wooden floors, fridge not working, kitchen smells, stains o. The wall and I n the bathroom, very limited options in the breakfast buffet.
First night I had a clogged sink and shower drain, I called and got them fixed, but still This should be taken care of before I step in to the room.
The only put 2 small water bottles in the room and when I called and asked for more I was charged for it.
I would definitely not stay in this property again.

One elevator in Tower 1 was out of service throughout our stay (3 days). This led to endless waiting, including service staff all waiting and sharing 1 elevator. This was our biggest issue.

The receptionist at checkin on Monday was less than interested and not warm in greeting, which is quite unlike Malaysian hospitality.

Is just a bit troublesome to travel out. And a long walk to buy things.
Need to have cards to go in and out from guard house, a bit troublesome when taking taxi in and out from the location.
Even taxi get lost sometimes because the location turn in junction is not obvious.
It will be better for people who drive themselves.

The doors for the bedrooms and toilet cannot be closed fully. Also, due to the water disruption, my whole family wasn't able to take a shower AND WE WERE CHECKING OUT ON THAT DAY! This property is in a great location - the golden triangle. Close to a number of shops and restaurants, malls etc... You get the picture.
Basically the heartland of KL city.

However, I would not recommend anyone stay here nor would I stay here again.
Cleanliness is appalling, the rooms smell really weird and the bathroom and everything else has questionable stains. Dust around the appliances, stains in the cups. I was even more disgusted when saw the cleaner rinse a used cup and put it right back without any use of detergent, gloves or a sponge!
I am not sure why this is advertised as a 5-star because it's far from 5-star. For the same money you will find a better hotel in the same vicinity.
Even the sheets had stains! Oh... and the air-con did not work in the lounge area and the one in the room worked but had a funny smell, which made it uncomfortable to use it.

The exterior is well done and great job to whoever took the photos of the rooms and surroundings. Did a good job to mask the reality of this place.

If you take anything from this review, it is... don't stay here.

Very spacious room and nicely furnished. My room came with a clothes washing machine which I am sure will be really useful for families or longer staying patrons. Staff service was prompt and nothing more I could ask for. Room was clean and wifi connection was good. Location is very near to the shopping district but in any case, getting around in taxi is very easy.

Too many problems when we first checked in. Sink was clogged. Bath tub plug was stuck so water can’t drain. There were ants everywhere. Safe batteries needed to be changed. Towels smelled like molds.

The property was well presented, provided all the necessary amenities. Large apartments, well presented. for such a large place, limited towels at pool, lack of drinking water at the gym but would attend again. 24/7 front desk where always accommodating to any question

The location is good , facacilities good. Just issues with:
1. Dirty cabinets under all sinks
2. Dirty fridge on shelves and ice dispenser
3. Bathtub not cleaned properly
4. Aircon on lounge not working properly
5. Needs a paint job in the room

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness, maintenance and service provided by this establishment. When we checked in, the room given had cockroaches in it, and when we asked for another room, it took a long time to get us one. Once we did transfer to the other room, the ceiling in the kitchen started to leak. It took a while for them to come rectify the situation. Also, the room was not equipped with bath towels which took a while for the housekeeping to provide. We will not be staying here again.

The biggest pro about this place is that it has washing machine and dryer inside! Super convenient so we don't need to bring lots of clothes. The room is spacious and its location is near FamilyMart (convenient store) and the monorail station, Raja Chulan (easy to access to Time Square, Lot10, Fahrenheit88!) The people there are all very professional and friendly!

The little cons about this place was there were missing things here and there in the room, such as spoons, glass from the kitchen and the bathroom. And some days they renew the hand towels with one and somedays with two. Overall, this doesn't affect much of our experience here since this is our second visit, we just don't want the hotel to think we stole something from them. Additionally, the left sink was clogged but fortunately we got two sinks hahaha

Also a BIG thank you to Norman from the reception. He was SUPER helpful and informative when we were asking for help. He went for that extra mile to not just only find the place that we were wishing to go, but also an alternative route that covers a much shorter distance than we thought. We deeply appreciate him for the help because it saved us A LOT of time. He deserves a pay rise!

We definitely recommend others to stay here if they want to hang around in KL city area!

The breakfast buffet was fantastic. We loved the setup of rooms and furniture's. The was a big ample space for living room and toilet as well.

Overall it was a cozy and satisfy stay for us.

The suites were well-designed, but clearly are not being maintained. Perhaps it was because it was New Year's week and the property was busy, but our suite had not been cleaned or prepped well. There weren't enough towels, utensils in the kitchen, etc. It took repeated calls over two days to finally get what we needed. Secondly, I called the property the day before our check in to confirm the suite size and that there would be enough beds for 5. I was assured there was only to arrive and learn that we'd have to pay a sizable number if we wanted a rollaway bed for our child. I also asked if pool towels were provided and was told they weren't so packed and brought towels only to find that they were provided. All this points to mismanagement and lack of training of the staff. For these reasons, I would not stay here again.

Perfect stay

These residences are just perfect for a family to stay in plenty room & great location close to all the malls & places for eating . The cleaners were excellent beds changed & clean towels every day .
