Great location - next to Petronas Towers. Short walk to bars, restaurants, shopping mall and metro station. We stayed in a club room and the club lounge was like an oasis - lovely food and drinks with perfect views from the 24th floor. Swimming pool area was lovely - got very busy but always managed to find a sunbed. Staff were exceptional, particular the lovely man from Penang in the club lounge (sorry can’t remember his name) and the doormen. Only slight disappointment was breakfast - just didn’t do it for me. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed staying at Mandarin Oriental in KL. The staff were super nice and the concierge helped us bring our luggage upstairs. Check in was simple and there was a welcome drink and cooling wet towel provided. Room was very spacious and king bed was very comfortable. We didn’t want to leave the room

What can I say, this hotel is truly first class in every way. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless, warm, and unmistakably upscale.

Our room was spotless, with impeccable white-glove cleanliness and flawless housekeeping. There was always plenty of drinking water provided, along with both coffee and tea service in the room, which we really appreciated. We paid a great rate and were assigned a twin room, which was perfectly comfortable and absolutely fine for our stay.

The linens were top-of-the-line, crisp, sparkling white, and pressed to perfection. Fresh towels every day and a beautifully refreshed room after each housekeeping service made returning to our room a genuine pleasure.

The rooftop pool area on the 3rd floor was lovely, offering a peaceful escape with attentive food and drink service. You could enjoy lunch or dinner right at your lounger, or dine in the designated seating area, all while taking in views of the city alongside the greenery of the nearby park, a wonderful balance of urban and serene.

The location is ideal, set in one of Kuala Lumpur’s trendiest areas and within easy reach of everything. The doormen greeted us warmly each day with genuine smiles, always asking how our day had been. Those small touches truly set this hotel apart.

Warm, elegant, and undeniably luxurious, the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur delivers exactly what you’d expect from a world-class hotel. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had an amazing time! The staff went above and beyond every step of the way from check-in to the pool to housekeeping. The turndown service was top notch and the food by the pool is cooked right next to you. It’s some of the best food I’ve had. I would definitely go back to this property and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to KL.

Our second time staying at the MO KL. It didn’t disappoint. We had club access which was extremely useful if you want to work on your laptop or take meetings outside of your room, you can use the club, very convenient, comfortable and great views over KLCC park and the Petronas Towers. The club offering refreshments and an alternative location for breakfast was brilliant as we were staying over Christmas the hotel was extremely busy.

We tried breakfast both on the main ground floor and at the club, more variety and fresher tasting fruit on the ground floor but less crowded and more intimate on the club floor.

Didn’t have time to use the pool this time but it’s fantastic, used the well equipped and large gym daily! All hotel gyms should be like this!

Thank you to the team at MO KL for making our stay memorable and a special Christmas trip.

What a wonderful experience! The hotel, the location, the staff. All 5 stars! We were lucky enough to get a special deal with Expedia to stay in the Club Rooms for an amazing price, with breakfast, afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks included. The staff were so attentive and kind. The location was great - closer to the MRT than expected and under cover all the way there. This is our second visit to KL and we would stay here again. Happily.

I have traveled extensively throughout the world for work and leisure for over 20 years. Each year I stay at over 40-50 different hotels. This Mandarin Oriental hotel is the best hotel in the world that I have ever stayed at. The hotel is pristine, the rooms are impeccable and the hospitality of the staff is exemplary. The most exceptional staff members are Aaron and Kiran, two of the concierges, Waty who works at the breakfast, Hafiz at the front desk, a Ram, the most professional and congenial tour guide that I have ever had in the world. Also noteworthy staff members who exhibit courtesy, friendliness and great helpfulness at all times are, Beyzid and Labin in housekeeping, Audrey Tan in administration, Shiori who welcomed us with flowers and a smile, Subra and Hayee, and Ahmad concierges, Sharom, the Chief Concierge, Adzuan, the Assistant Chief Concierge, Natasha, Mohammad, and Sarah at the front desk, Hisham (a truly exceptional doorman), Ashlam and Kumar, also superb doormen, JJ and Furhan at breakfast, and Shabril the trainer in the gym.

Mandarin Oriental is rarely below superb. The rooms are exquisite. The service staff is phenomenal. Amenities are on spot.
Just one dissapointment is that having given us an upgrade to a higher floor they didn't include the Club. It was a menial thing that the reception staff could have handled better. Or at least include the Petronas view. It was barely an upgrade. Completely different from The Prestige in Penang; they went all in but it is the Marriott experience.

Yes I got beaten by bedbugs and I reported it to the management with evidence from the bites and badly managed by the staff offering me a cream from their first aid box without thinking whether or not I could be allergic to it and the house doctor was waste of time offering to give me an injection for the rash rather than a cream from the pharmacy it was a joke

Great facilities- I love the gym, much better than other hotels I’ve stayed in. The spa and massage were amazing. I used the tennis and pickleball courts when I was there too. And the swimming pool has lots of sun beds which is always nice! Breakfast has absolutely everything! Will definitely stay there any when I return to KL next time! We had booked two nights with MO Club access to break the journey back to London after a nature tour of Borneo. Unfortunately, my wife had picked up an E. coli infection in Borneo. On arrival at the hotel the Concierge staff immediately helped us to an excellent local hospital where she had to be admitted for several days, but recovered well. The MO Club team were wonderful and extended our booking and did everything possible to make it easy. We could not thank them enough. In the end the two night stay stretched into more than a week and we were grateful to the MO for making a horrible experience much easier than it might have been. We had stayed there on the outbound leg and once again found it comfortable, with superb facilities, the MO Club was a huge bonus in the circumstances and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn’t be more thankful.

I travelled with my four year old daughter. I chose MO specifically because of how child friendly this hotel is. They arranged a stroller, a baby sitter, and kid friendly amenities before my arrival. The kids club at MO was also incredible. The food and their in room dining service was top quality, not to mention the room views. MO team made my stay extremely comfortable and my daughter actually became so sad when we had to check out. I recommend this to families with young children and also people traveling for work who can’t leave their little ones behind. Thank you MO!

This is a very high standard property in a great location. The general highlight was the amazingly good attitude towards the guests of every single member of staff. They couldn’t have been any more helpful or friendly, always offering to do more to help. The Club option is well worth taking for complimentary snacks and drinks. A special mention for the airport limo service, it doesn’t just deliver you to your destination, you are escorted through the airport to the correct checking desk and then on to the security gate, it took away a lot of the hassle. We’re very happy to be coming back in a couple of weeks.

Unlikely the staff Is not at the level of the expectation for Mandarin Hotel, for example we called the day before tò ask for and extra bed, they confirmed that they can provider It and that the bed was already in the room. At out arrival at midnight the room was not ready. It took more than One hour tò have It.
This Is not accepable for a hotel of this level.

The water outlet of the tap of the bathtub was slightly dirty, however we did not need to use it so it was fine.
Was a bit dusty in the wardrobe when open seeing some dust flying in the air, otherwise the room is perfectly cleaned. The bathroom floor was a bit slippery to walk with the hotel's slippers as we did not expect it was that smooth on the marble floor.

There’s room for improvement at this iconic Mandarin Oriental hotel in Kuala Lumpur. I loved the spacious apartment-style room, but it could definitely benefit from updates and refurbishment to reflect a more modern aesthetic.
The guest services and location are truly outstanding. The breakfast buffet offers a generous selection of both international and local dishes, with plenty of variety to choose from.
During our stay, a large group event specifically an Indian group was in-house, which made the hotel feel a bit overwhelmed. Many facilities and common areas became overcrowded, affecting the overall experience and ambiance.
Mandarin Oriental is known for its exclusivity and catering to a high-end market, so I hope future stays will better reflect that standard.

It was my first time staying at any MO, cos it's affordable but I guess that's why I got what i paid for. The hardware of the hotel is quite old/outdated, while I got a club room, the quality of the clubhouse's afternoon tea and happy hour was underwhelming, so was the breakfast at the lobby, e.g. the coffee at breakfast was great, while that served at the club house was not.

And, I encountered a very unpleasant staff named Steve (?) one night at the elevator lobby where a staff was asking if I had durian in my bag, then he literally screamed at me n said \"NO, YOU CAN'T.\" Not until then that I didn't know of such rule, but there were many other ways to tell a hotel guest, and he didn't admit that he yelled at me, which was simply not acceptable, esp'ly for MO!

Besides that one staff, many others were super friendly, nice and up to what anyone would expect from MO.

However, all in all, this first MO experience was quite mixed if not disappointing altogether.

This is a mandarin oriental, but i felt the rooms are showing their age. The shared restaurant and swim facilities are excellent. The team there are excellent as well. The rooms we had for our five of us, three kids, was huge and super confortable, with small maids kitchen with washer dryer and sitting room and excellent views.

Id love to stay longer there as a base for seeing the city.

However, I did feel the rooms need renovation and updates to carry the MO name. Wallpaper was peeling off in some places. The furnishings need updates and the washer dryer leaked badly into the kitchen.

Id definitely stay again, but just understand its not a 5 star hong kong MO.
