Hotel is hard to find, not signed very well and lobby is on the 2nd floor of the building. Staff at check in did not tell us everything, we had to figure it out. Pool is on the 3rd floor (which is designated for Muslims) which made us feel uncomfortable. Breakfast was amazing!! Check in staff was okay but not helpful and hard to understand, but other staff were friendly. Beds in the rooms are rock hard and uncomfortable.

My room had a view of the Twin Towers as they was just 150 metres away. The room was ideal. Traffic noise should be considered as this could be a problem for some.
Check-in staff were excellent and very helpful.

The facility is run down with damage to walls and floors and furniture. Bathroom facets and tile leak. For a high star facility this should not have been the case. When I arrived the shower water was luke warm. Once I mentioned the issue they were great and fixed it. The walls and room decor were broken cracked or poorly repaired. Room 1509 was not good for the rating of the hotel.

Ok hotel, expensive but great location.

Crazy to have the reception on first floor. the big restaurant on ground floor was boring and not interesting. The small cafe/bar on 12th floor was great, loved the food,- and not to forget the incredible view.But way to loud music. Don´t book a taxi at the reception,- far too expensive. Nice room, big and very clean. Even though we stayed at 18th floor there still was noice from the street during the night.

Room : very noisy , very old fashion, no decoration, bad feeling.

Renovation needed now!

I have stayed many times in this hotel before-covid and so I decided to stay here again for few nights. I was disappointed to realize that nothing has been done to even maintain the hotel well and instead, I ended up regretting to stay here... Negatives: the room we stayed in (best on the list by the way) is dated and patched up badly in everything... old and chipped furniture, old carpets, walls scratched and badly repainted over, broken blinds and many more bad details... Moreover, the windows are not sound-proof so you literally hear everything that goes on on the outside of the hotel; The common areas and all facilities in general are very old style, not too clean and beyond dated; very poor quality breakfast with boring, badly presented food selection and low quality standards. Positives: the staff (especially maintenance) tried their best to compensate all hotel's faults and mis-working things but in the end it was not good enough. Not recommended unless the management decides to undergo a serious renovation plan.

The location is great as it is so close to Twins towers.But is is not clean. The sheet was dirty when we checked in. Also there is a huge hollow open space inside the hotel. The open space is not enclosed, not air conditioned, Birds nestled there. You can see lots birds poo in the open corridor. No body cleaned them. Not healthful.

The location of this hotel could not be more suitable. So many restaurants and shopping close by, many are walkable which is not always the case in Kuala Lumpur. Is 45 to 1.5 hour from airport depending on traffic.

Rooms are much nicer than price would indicate. Great value.

in the night two times somebody knocked my door one at 1230 am and another around 0115am. Knocked and press bell. When i called to reception, they said CCTV shows no one. What this means for me, you can guess. But I am not happy they didnt do investigation well enough to conclude the unconcluded one.

Very nice hotel except the elevator doors only open for 2 seconds. You have to be ready and jump in fast or they will close. There are 4 elevators, if you wait by the wrong one you’ll miss it. Also no plug ins near the bed.

The condition of the rooms wasn't too great. The flush in toilet doesn't work, the curtains are falling off, the mattress was basically stained brown. There's a school attached to this hotel which wasn't pleasant. We would see kids congregating at the front and some stay in the hotel. You can hear them running around and making noise. Fire alarm went off at 2.30am once and it was a false alarm but they hadn't told anyone that it was a false alarm unless you called reception. We didn't risk it so a few of us walked down the emergency stairs. Once we got to the bottom, the emergency door was shut. We pressed the buzzer for the door to be released but this didn't work. We called reception no answer. Majority of the guests just stood outside their rooms in limbo not knowing what to do. So poor and unprofessional. Amongst all this the school kids were joking around running up and down the halls like it was all a joke.

hotel is very tired. Limited facilities, rooms have bad windows and are noisy. The Wi-Fi is appalling and the mobile signal is poor. the room key cards are temperamental, I had to twice get the room key recoded. The lifts are VERY Slow, which makes getting a key reset a real saga.

The room is clean and the bed are comfortable. This is our repeated stay here. Friendly check-in staff.
It’s very close to Petronas twin towers, Suria KLCC and lots of eateries within walking distance.
Free parking at the basement and the room rate is reasonable.

The swimming pool is small, but the gym looked ok.

Trying to get a taxi from this location is difficult with it being close to The Petronas Towers and KLCC mall.

This property is rated VIP in Expedia and as a member is not up to the expectations, for same price is many good options the only reason for me to stay there was 1. The VIP perks which was not honored and 2. Location which is very good indeed. The property charge me early check in when I have as a benefit with Expedia, that was wrong, I wasn’t acknowledge and brief about anything else, the conditions of the rooms are deplorable and I found bed bugs and cockroaches in my room 1510, I couldn’t sleep, good I was there only for one night and for sure I will not go back.

Dirty and dusty room!!!

So the hotel lobby is nice, and has a decent breakfast. But the room was extremely dusty with particles of dust everywhere. There was so much gunk and grime in the bathtub that made it unusable. There were so many stains all over the place, its clearly not been maintained well. Won't be booking it again!

Booked and paid through Expedia after looking through a few properties. Said it was a 5 star rating. The room was tired smelly and dirty.
Stayed for 2 nights. Next day I was out until 4.30 pm and the room was not done up. Then 2 poor young boys were sent after I complained who knew nothing about cleaning and could not understand what I was asking for.
If you looking for a place to stay check out other hotels. This hotel certainly is not as advertised and rooms have a hygiene issue with smells.

I booked a 67sqm suite which advertised and pictured clear views of the Petronis Towers for MYR527.
This is why I chose this hotel and spent more for a suite
The view was a tiny slither of one of towers.
When I challenged with reception this they said a building had been built to obstruct this. I had only booked a few weeks earlier so surprised that a building could be built and occupied in only a few weeks. They had no interest to take any responsibility for their false advertising.

The safe didn't work and was not attached - I picked it up with 2 fingers.

NO FRIDGE in a 67sqm suite - I needed this to keep my insulin chilled so had to throw it out.

There was a large cockroach in the bathroom - I was impressed by his ability to climb 21 floors.

The hotel room was old and tatty and needed a total refurbishment

The room was poorly laid out with about half of the space wasted and unusable.

The breakfast was rubbish and the restaurant staff were rude.

On a positive note the bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked.

Fortunately I only had to endure this hotel for only one night.

Beware if you're considering this hotel - I've stayed in much much better in KL.

This hotel is in good location. The hotel lobby looks like 5 five star however rooms are outdated. The reason why I was upset is that I choose this hotel as it is VIP under Expedia. I have silver status and the hotel refused to give free breakfast. Based on the agreement I received it is in writing that it is free breakfast. There were no VIP treatment. In a way this a good experience as I was suppose to book 10 rooms for an up coming work event. I have advice my workplace not to go with this hotel.

Hotel Maya is a dated 5 star hotel, where some rooms have been refurbished and others have not. We booked last minute and it was one of the few cheaper 5-star hotels within walking distance of Petronas.

On the first night my wife injured herself in the shower due to some sharp objects. As compensation, the hotel manager offered a second room for the children to stay in for one night. After the second night, we were woken up early in the morning by a leak from the room above. This time an engineer came and looked at it and walked away—no call from the manager or finding an alternative. The leak kept going until we checked out at 12.

Hopefully, these were isolated incidents.

I Recommend this property only because of its location. Rooms are dirty not well maintained. We had to change room because toilet was leaking and after we moved to a new room the shower and wash basin sink were clogged (which were fixed) but mess they left was not cleaned even though they said they cleaned.

The main advantage of the hotel is the position very close to Klcc. The elevators and rooms are old. I often found small insects in the bathroom. There is no choice of restaurants and the only one available one night was booked for a private function. It’s a 3 star hotel in a convenient location.

The photos for deluxe suite is a total misrepresentation of the room. It showed the room comes with one double bed and two single beds but upon check in, there’s only one double bed. Might as well book a lower level room for a double bed with oversized room. Only after contacting expedia, expedia did a tremendous job in getting Hotel Maya to provide me a rollaway bed, eventhough I settled with only one rollaway. Also, the service by reception could be further improved on the tone of answering questions etc. I had to attend online meeting until 12 so when I asked for additional hour, the tone for answering was quite condescending. Please train them properly.

Rude staff - old rundown hotel

The staff at checkin and checkout was extremely rude. There was male staff on checkout who we asked to print one page which had our boarding passes for which he gave so much attitude and said you should do it from before as I am busy right now and was just extremely rude. The hotel is about 20-30 years old and extremely rundown rooms. There are so many other hotels in the vicinity for the same price so go there

Wonderful weekend getaway

Stayed in Junior Suite, everything was excellent. Check-in process was very fast, staff were very friendly, spacious room, great facilities with nice bath tub, buffet breakfast was tasteful and strategic location around KLCC area. The view from my room was PNB 118 Tower. Perfect short weekend getaway for us. Thank you Hotel Maya.

Hotel Maya is well-located next to Petronas Twin Towers and there's a 24h Indian muslim restaurant right across it. Bed is comfy, just that during the time we were staying, the TV channels were updating so we can't really watch any channels properly. The toilet is a wifi-deadzone though... But overall, the staff are super friendly and helpful with our requests, so we had a great 4 night stays!

The hotel staffs are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel ambience is very nice and clean. The breakfast time would be better if it’s until 11:00am for the late sleepers. The location is excellent, around 100 meters away from Petronas Towers and 5 mins. Walk to Metro station. Wifi is also very good.

I have stayed at the Hotel Maya five times over the past fifteen years or so. Over that time it has steadily deteriorated from a nice boutique hotel, to a mass market one. Make sure you don’t stay on floors 12-15, as there is a nightly disco on floor 13, that finishes around 3-4am each day.

Good location with walking distance to KLCC. Since our last stay here the facilities have been downgraded with no bar in reception, no good restaurant or coffee shop other than the breakfast area.

However, the location of the hotel means you can walk to many restaurants and the room is priced at a competitive level.
