We had a wonderful stay at Star Suites KLCC and would happily return.

The view was absolutely stunning — waking up to the KL skyline and Petronas Twin Towers each morning was a real highlight. The oversized king bed was incredibly comfortable (easily one of the best parts of the stay), and the amenities in the apartment were modern, clean and thoughtfully presented. The space felt luxurious yet relaxed, and overall it was a fantastic base in KL.

There were just a few small areas for improvement. The kitchen had limited utensils, and while the tea selection was lovely, it was loose leaf with no strainer provided. A simple addition like that would have made a big difference. We also would have appreciated a compendium or even a small sign explaining where to find the pools, bar and other facilities — as first-time guests, it wasn’t immediately clear.

Our room key unfortunately locked us out four times, which was a little frustrating. The team did send someone up promptly to change the battery (which we appreciated), though an apology at check-in would have gone a long way.

That said, these were small things in what was otherwise a really enjoyable stay. The comfort, the view, and the overall quality of the apartment made it a wonderful experience. We’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a stylish and comfortable place to stay in KL

It is not a 5 star hotel recognised globally, only to Malaysian standards. The cutlery served in the kitchen dining was dirty with residual food on it. The staff at reception told me they are not trained. They offered complimentary breakfast and stuffed up the date and order. The kitchen staff were dishonest. There were multiple issues you would not expect from a 5 star hotel. They don’t even provide sugar or milk only loose tea bags (no strainer) and coffee. The facilities are nice but service is not equivalent to 5 star.

I had a great experience at this hotel! I arrived an hour before check-in and my room was ready. I'm also grateful they were able to accommodate my request for a room with a view of the Pertronas Towers, it was the best. :) The location is perfect and the rooftop pool area has an even better view than any observation deck could offer. My only suggestion is to notify guests of the mandatory cash deposit upon booking as they informed me after I arrived (with no local currency but thankfully they accepted USD instead). Overall, the staff was great, the room was huge and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the heart of KL.

I would not recommend their breakfast. All the dishes are hand washed, not dish washer. People there cough while they fix goods. I don't see anyone washing their hands before or after they deal with dishes. The contents of breakfast menu was very very limited.

Good comms before arrival, staff at reception were welcoming. Good location. I chose an apartment vs hotel for convenience eg laundry.

Apartment was ok re space and amenities but layout of second bedroom was poor. A double bed was squeezed into a tiny space with no room to move around it and no storage space at all.

Breakfast had limited continental options and small seating area. Very disappointing given the hefty price charged. They ran out of basic items like wholemeal bread and you had to constantly ask for replenishments as there were only two staff available. One staff member was very helpful and courteous, the other seemed inexperienced, irritated about being asked for service and lacked initiative. There was no advertisement of options like eggs e.g I saw one guest get a freshly cooked omelette from the back while the buffet only had boiled eggs. I was aghast to learn that specialty coffees such as cappuccinos would be charged extra when these are offered as standard at most hotels.

The highlight was the pool and gym which were excellent esp the views. I recommend the gym is open 24/7. I also recommend that orders from the bar/restaurant can be charged to your room and drinks served in glass not plastic as there is security around and the complex seems not to attract problematic guests.

There are plenty of wonderful places to stay in KL so I would look elsewhere.

The room and building are fantastic. The bed was huge and comfortable. We made good use of the washing machine. The view from the room and top deck is worth a look - and it was nice to be able to take a cooling dip in the pool. We didn’t need the kitchen but the extra space with couch was a nice break.

Tip: The left switch outside the bathroom controls the hot water for the shower - missed that first time through.

Easy walking distance to Petronas towers - enjoyed the water show. Longer walk to KL tower - the adjacent ECO tree top walk was fun - series of hanging bridges with about a dozen monkeys playing in them as we arrived.

Me and my husband decided to travel around south Asia and KLCC was one if the stops. OMG ! This place is amazing, so close to mist of the attractions, from the 69th floor you have an amazing view of the twin Petronas Towers. Our apartament had a great view, living room, kitchen with everything you needed and the most important a washing machine which is a gold mine when you’re travelling . So overall we were very pleased 😌 with this accommodation.

The rooms were fine and clean, the kitchen well-stocked, the location fantastic. The bathroom tiles need to be regrouted - a lot of black spots between the tiles. They also need to provide softer pillows. kinda small and hard.

I really enjoyed my stay at Star Suites KLCC .the location is magnificent, perfect...Just a short walk from klcc and twin towers.
The suites are modern, very spacious and clean .
I loved having a washer/ dryer especially i was traveling for the last 2 month and i need to clean my clothes by myself without forgetting a kitchen inside at least i tried to cook a home food for a few days.
The rooftop with a pool has an amazing view of the city, definitely a highlight ✨️..no daily housekeeping or room service but that was fine for me.
Great value and i would happily stay here again.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay.
The hotel was close to twin towers, suria mall and klcc park which was an advantage.

The main bedroom was good but the 2nd bedroom there was no room to get in and out of the bed, from the side, you would have to climb over.

That didnt bother us.

Definitely would recommend the hotel and would also stay again l.

Location superb, views from roof top incredible, pools are fabulous. Accommodation is of a good standard but we booked a 2 bedroomed apartment (for our family of four). First apartment the main double bed was in what I can describe as a cupboard (no window) we complained and we were moved to another two bedroomed apartment, this time two bedrooms with windows. Even in the next apartment the strange thing is that they have put the two twin beds in the larger room and squished a double in what looks like it’s designed as an office as there’s an internet point. Other weird thing that wasn’t practical staying with our young family as the main bathroom and toilet are reached through the kids room and not via the master bedroom or main living area. Made it not very practical. Location great but not designed for family or group stays

This service apartment hotel is clean and well equipped with almost everything that we need as a home away from home. We stayed on the 51st floor two bedroom unit which had a direct view of Petronas towers. The hotel has two swimming pools with great views too, overall facilities are impressive, also the staffs are friendly and helpful, special mention of Mr Izman. The only negative feedback is about the lack of sound proofing on the windows of the bedroom with the queen sized bed, the noise from the outside is loud enough to keep u awake at night and even louder to wake you up from the surrounding construction as early as 6am. Otherwise, this could be a perfect stay!

Very short stay but a really nice suite. Had views of the PETRONAS Towers. The pools were amazing. Had a very decent meal in the pool restaurant and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Very close to shopping and restaurants. I used the ride sharing app Grab to get around. It was all very easy.

Great location only 500m from the Petronas Towers. Easy picks from ordering a Grab anywhere you wanted to go. Only cost £15 to get a Grab back to the airport. Travel time was only 45 mins but we left at 7am. Later in the day I would opt for the train as the traffic in KL can be horrendous.

Based on the location, the price rate for this hotel is fairly cheap. Suria KLCC is just next to the building. The room was clean and comfortable. And the swimming pool area has a breathtaking view of the Twin Towers.

The lifts in this place are a nightmare. I meant to book Ascot Star and got this. I won’t be back. Great location is about the only good thing I can say.

We had a good time. Staff were friendly and amenities were amazing. One problem we felt was that service was not as good as it could be. There were no phones to call the operator, and the electronic pad that was supposed to be used for communication was not working. When we wanted or needed anything, we would have to go all the way down to the lobby to ask for it. Besides that complaint the hotel is a great place to stay for an extended period. Felt very home like with a washer/dryer and a full kitchen. Located in a great area with lots of shopping/food within 10 minutes walking distance. 4/5 would definitely recommend
