We have stayed at Ibis Hotels around the world both in Europe in Asia and South America. This is a very nice property quite large 31 stories tall. The hotel staff were OK. There's a breakfast every morning on the 10th floor. A very large dining hall with a variety of foods. The emphasis seems to be on more Malaysian/Indian style foods. Lots of curry items. We do like their croissants. But the ones here are a little bit more cake like than other locations we've had in the past. The hotel cleaning staff is very shorthanded and we came back a couple of times in the afternoon and the room had not been cleaned yet. So in which we just asked for towels and went another day without a room service. Our room attendant is a very hard-working guy and we don't fault him for his efforts. One thing that we found very unusual is that the TV had primarily local channels. There was no international news, very few English speaking channels and unlike other hotels we had no access to go to YouTube. The Internet service was OK. The room was large and the bathroom was spacious. I think the pricing was spot on. We booked this reservation through Expedia. We had previously booked another hotel and it was not in a desirable area and looked sketchy. And so we came to this Ibis KLCC property. There's some restaurants across the street in in the area. But most days we took a grab taxi to the mall which had more choices overall, we would likely stay here again if we came back to KL.

Great hotel for anyone visiting KL as it's located near some of the main attractions like Suria KLCC and the Petronas Twin Towers. It's walking distance from the MRT or even Chinatown/Little India if you are an avid walker like myself. The staff were all super helpful and kind. The hotel is relatively clean and fresh - there were few areas that needed to be cleaned when I first arrived. Maybe they could improve the air circulation by ensuring fresh air in all of the rooms to prevent stuffiness. The hotel has all the amenities you could want, but at times there would be lineups outside of the elevators which was inconvenient. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to KL!

A very comfortable hotel in the downtown area about a 10 minute walk from the MRT. Staff were very helpful at any time I needed assistance. I was confused when the pool was closed because of rain. Most people do get wet while in a pool. I suppose there is a reason for this. All in all a good hotel to stay at as has been my experience at other Ibis properties.

Standard ibis property with a nice swimming pool and amenities. Good for business or overnight layover. However, front desk staff need more training on customer interaction. They were more interested in chatting with each rather than attending to customers, including the chubby manager.

Poor communication prior to arrival.

The lobby was busy that we really struggled to hear the staff member at check in. We were disappointed that our email request for an early check did not received despite sending it 3 times via the hotels.com contact portal. They tried their best on the day, allowing us to check an hour earlier which was appreciated.

Overall it was a fine stay. Didn’t have breakfast included but decided to pay on the day twice for convenience - it wasn’t a great breakfast at all, very low quality. I used the laundry service once and it was SO expensive - £18 for a couple of t-shirts, pants and socks!! Room was overall clean and comfortable, though!

Chaotic, overextended

Good: clean sheets and comfortable bed.
Bad: shower water temperature changes wildly. *this should never happen in a \"4star\" hotel. *this is not a \"4star\" hotel(for many reasons)
Bad: once the pool area has more than a dozen guests it is overfull. This is a HUGE hotel (31 floors) so the size is disproportionate. Never enough space and not cleaned enough.
Bad: soooooo many guests in the breakfast area that nothing is ever warm/hot. I never once had any hot foods at my table 14+days over 3 stays.(and really loud) i wore my noise-canceling headphones to drown out the noise of dozens of tables of indian and chinese \"talking\" to one another
Good: breakfast selection is wonderful: imagine western, indo/malay, chinese/asian, and indian (+veg)options.
Bad: food at hotel bar is distinctly average.
Bad: checkin experience was unfortunate. Much miscommunication which ended in me paying more than necessary.
Bad: some gym equipment is not usable/malfunctioning and during 6/10 workouts there were other guests touring the gym with their families and children coming in to look around, play on the gym equipment and to fill their empty water bottles from their rooms.

Liked nothing about Ibis, no one should book them seriously very bad service and hotel was not good at all. Very basic, tv had no chromecast and wasnt even smart tv, had limited option to watch anything. In expedia it didnt mention that we need to pay 10 rm tourist tax and when we gave them 50 rm we thought it would be a refunded back which the check-in staff never told. Thats a rip off as you already pay so much to stay in a bad hotel and plus have to pay extra. Pool was small, food had no variety, didnt even have daily housekeeping, we requested the person once to do it and he didnt understand English. Sometimes the housekeeping would come late in afternoon when we are in the room and due to that twice when we wanted to rest we had to go and wait in the lobby so that our room can get cleaned. The inside duvet had stain on it, i placed the sign to get it replaced but they didnt do it, for five days it was the same. Disgusting place

The beds are super comfy and the hot showers were a dream. Plenty of water flow and large shower recess. No shower over bath rubbish in this hotel.i highly recommend this hotel.

Very noisy

Rooms were ok but with very thin walls so it was incredibly noisy. I had to complain about the room next door once who thought that playing bagpipes on to really loud at 12.30am was a good idea.

In two occasions someone attempted to go out the fire exit, resulting in alarms going off. With one instance I had to go to reception to beg them to turn it off after it had rung for ages late at night.

Housekeeping was poor. Tea and coffee were not replaced for three nights out of my five night stay. Bathroom cleaning was lacking, with the mirror filthy. Very few towels were provided including none for the floor.

Breakfast was a good spread but very geared towards locals than visitors.

Overall this hotel should have been fine but the noise and poor housekeeping let it down. After several nights of no sleep due to noise, I won’t be returning.

Room phone never worked despite letting the front desk know.
Doorbell did not work.
Door card keys kept stop working each day causing us to head back downstairs to get it fixed again and again.
Internet kept going out throughout the day. Hard to get some work done with spotty Internet.

-Breakfast terrible for vegetarians. No peanut butter, cheese, honey etc. Only one kind of jelly. Gets very crowded.
-South Indian corner (vegetarian) is available but all items are dry and/or cold. Sambhar is tasteless.
- I will recommend vegetarians don't buy breakfast option. There is a 7/11 and Indian restaurant across the street.
- Lots of fast food restaurants(Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Subway, Nando's etc) in Avenue K Mall (10 minutes walk-Across from Petronas Tower and Suria KLCC).
-There is a money exchange also in the same place and a bank 2 minutes walk from hotel (Towards Petronas Towers) will give you good rate too.

- Wait staff in the breakfast area really not much helpful because it is so crowded.
- Front desk staff is excellent. Fredzelyn (Spelling?) and Joy are absolutely fabulous. Thank you.

Fairly convenient location to walk to klcc , building site over the road now blocking view of tower , and building next door blocks pavement
We put credit card deposit of rm1000 for us to be able to charge to rooms and twice had to pay cash in bar as they were not allowed to charge to room - when we asked for duty manager - they never bothered to show up . Rooms were cleaned very late in day for two of our rooms and every day we struggled to get either towels, tea , or toilet paper replenished resulting in needing to call housekeeping . Best of luck as they don’t answer and you need to go join the shambolic queue with permitted queue jumping at reception

Need to up the service levels and staffing to get this resolved if you have a large vehicle be aware the parking access between levels is very very tight at upper levels with cars blocking the turn by not parking within the bay - two or three point turns needed to get to level 4/5 and 6

We didn’t take the highly priced breakfast option and didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on that side
Drinks are top priced and better options outside the hotel

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Ibis. It's well located within walking distance to KLCC (10 minutes), the LRT, shopping and restaurants.
It's clean and quiet in the evenings. There's a bar on the 31st floor, a buffet restaurant, pool and gym.
Will definitely recommend.

I like this modern-style hotel located at the city center of Kuala Lumpur. I have chosen here twice in this year.

The room is bright with a big window next to the street. It is very quiet even it is next to the street. The city view at this location is fantastic, you are surrounded by skyscrapers with an empty space in front of your window. The room has a big office desk with a comfortable chair next to the window. The closet is small but big enough for most travelers. The bed is very comfortable.

There are many restaurants and cafés around here. The hotel also provides breakfast if you choose the plan. The breakfast at the hotel is nice, and there are lots of options. The dinning room is located at 10th floor, which is very spacious.

The service at the hotel is very professional. They can speak different languages. Most of the time, the hallway is busy.

There is a small pool and a small gym at the roof of the building. They are ok but not very impressive. There is a bar with nice view at the roof too, looks nice but I did not try it.

The hotel and the room itself were ok but we were on the 29th floor and the night club/bar was on the 31st floor and we could hear the base from the music through 2 floors which made it hard to sleep. Also the breakfast buffet was not good. Ended up not eating there after the first day because it was so bad.
