Rooms were beautiful and clean but the outside hallways were very hot. The elevators were also very slow so waiting for them in the hot hallways was uncomfortable. We also weren’t very impressed with the food at level 99. I was happy with the door man that provided us instructions on how to get to Petronas Towers.

I left my earpiece and popmart phone charm on the bed stand. After housekeeping, both went missing. Tried to check with the team twice. Upon checkout, the staff said will update me. But till today (5days) still no update. Disappointed

Everything, too new brilliant and offered an upgrade as there was availability when I arrived. The pool area and the restraint there both brilliant, and my highlight was dinner/drinks on the rooftop bar with the view of the Petronas towers in the evening, went both nights was incredible

Nice room. Lots of space. Good ac. Good location. Rooftop pool was tiny but the 6th floor pool was nice kinda disappointed it didn’t have a jacuzzi. Washer/dryer took forever. Almost 3 hrs to dry 1 load of clothes. Luckily we starting washing 2 days before departure. Overall great value. 4.5 stars. I’d stay here again

The rooms were very nice, the aesthetic of the hotel is very nice, staff very friendly and professional. Communication in english can be a bit difficult sometimes, pool view and cleanliness really, so many facilities available. Lots of restaurants,bars and cafes available, however it is paid and a bit pricey. No smoking everywhere. A high end hotel for sure!!

The infinity pool with views was a little under maintained and both pools didnt provide towels.
My room, although appeared clean, did have roaches wondering around.
Overall the hotel was good though.

Amazing Views

The Ascott Star is the perfect place to stay when visiting Kuala Lumpur. Check-in was very easy and the staff extremely friendly. The lady that checked me in was so kind to change my room so I would have some views of the Twin Towers from our room. This 2 bedroom 2 baths was very spacious. The room was clean and I was in love with the shower. The rooftop was stunning!! The other level with the pool was amazing too.

Lovely hotel with the best receptionist Farineha who helped me to have an upgrade to a suite with fantastic views over the Petronas Twin towers. You can pick up the hop on and hop off bus outside the towers that only takes 5 mins to walk to. Two shopping malls within walking distance and 2 amazing pools with gym facilities. Everything seems new and well managed. I’ve had to stay an extra 2 nights due to a cancelled flight and extending my visit to stay in the same room was seamless so thank you

Love this hotel & their staff! We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel! The room is very spacious & new looking! This hotel offers you a decent size safe to store your valuables, a microwave, dining table, knife, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, kitchen sink, dish rack, dish washing soap, washer/drier, detergent in the room. This hotel is also close to Petronas Twin Tower, water fountain show, big shopping malls, etc. It’s not far to get to Batu caves. I strongly recommend this hotel and book longer stay there.

My wife and I stayed at the Ascott Star KLCC for four nights in January 2025. We spent a long time at check-in, as we arrived at 13:30 and the room was not ready. It was still not ready at 15:00, so the reception kindly gave us another, upgraded Apt (we had booked a deluxe one-bedroom). It was my fault as I did not indicate our arrival time in the online check-in. I suggest you do this if you plan to arrive before 3pm, especially if you arrive at a busy period (our stay was over the Chinese New Year holiday weekend). The Apt was fantastic; very modern, large, clean and well-appointed, with a view of the Petronas Twin Towers. The location is also great, within walking distance of the towers, but in a quiet area. We didn’t use any of the facilities but there was a lot on offer. The view from the rooftop is absolutely gorgeous. The hotel personnel were all very helpful and friendly, and we will stay here again when we travel to Kuala Lumpur.

We love our stay at The Ascott Star KLCC and would definitely recommend the hotel. Facilities are great, the rooftop restaurant and swimming pool are great, they have a fully equipped gym and a second swimming pool in the 6th floor, views to the Petronas Towers and the rooms are large with everything you would need to feel just like home.

Above all else, the staff is very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is new and is well maintained. The staff are all very friendly, greeted us with smiles whenever they saw us. The deluxe one bedroom suite comes with a washer/ dryer (and detergent) which was very convenient. We’ll definitely come back.

Superb views of the Petronas towers and KL skyline from the rooftop pool and restaurant, it’s magical at night.

Breakfast service and food were sub par for a hotel in this category. Dinner service and food were better still not on par with other 4-5 star hotels in this price range.

I highly recommend this apartment hotel for a trip to KL. It’s location in KLCC is great. We walked to Petronas towers and KLCC park.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom. The king bed was really comfortable and the living area spacious. The kitchen had a kettle, toaster, pod machine, cook top and microwave as well as full sized fridge. The washing machine was helpful.
Two great pools at the property and a big gym and yoga room.

Excellent property and staff team. Easy walk to KLCC metro and shopping centre with food hall. Amazing views of the tower (pay for Petronas tower view) but breakfast is only 2* (better to eat elsewhere or buy something to eat). Use Grab for taxi (there is a cash option). Great swimming pool, front desk and apartments with water/dryer and quality bathroom items. Will be my first choice of stay next time I visit KL

Amazing place to stay. Location, walkability and connections to the metro were just perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and super helpful. Every time I entered or left the hotel, the staff were smiling and always greeted no matter the time of day.

I was given a view of the Petronas Twin Towers from my apartment and the hotel even gave me a small gift for my birthday.

The rooftop pool was incredible and the 6th floor pool was great too. I also tried out the inhouse Peranakan massage service on the 6th floor and it was perfect, a lot cheaper than any massage place in KL.

There is also a shortcut to the KLCC metro station. If you walk left from the entrance and then walk towards the Avenue K mall, head down the stairs to the basement and you’ll see the KLCC metro. You can also go to Suria KLCC mall and Pavilion via this route too - Great for super hot days when you just want air conditioning or street less walks

Overall, I couldn’t fault Ascott Star KLCC. I will definitely stay here again if I ever return to KL.

I would definitely give a 5star to this hotel if the breakfast wasn’t this bad. Everything is perfect, rooms, pools, lobby, views, service, staffs. The only downside is breakfast which is poor, stingy and in a terrible separated room, absolutely disaster coffee, which ruins the way you would start your day. If you ever decide to book this hotel, give yourself a favour and plan your breakfast outside, perhaps in KLCC.
Apart from breakfast, loved everything and might come back again.

Everything was perfect until I fell, stepping out of the room because I missed the 3 inches threshold in front of the room. I fell and crashed my head into the wall in front. I sustained injury to my head and shoulder.
My husband rang reception for ice cubes to put on my bruised forehead, was told to wait for 5 mins. He couldn’t wait so he went to reception to get himself. The same night I had aches all over my body, including my neck and back.
I suggest the hotel management put a warning strip on the threshold so it is more visible. This set up is a serious hazard.

We stayed at the Ascott Star KLCC Kuala Lumpur for a week in December and had a great experience. The hotel is in a great location, in the heart of KLCC, close to the Petronas Twin Towers, Suria KLCC and KLCC Park.
It is new, officially opened in 2022. The apartment is extremely clean and tidy, the kitchen is fully equipped, with an amazing view of the Petronas Twin Towers from the windows, and the king size bed is very comfortable, at a reasonable price. The infinity pool overlooks the Petronas Twin Towers. After reading the reviews, we did not have breakfast there but we ate at the rooftop restaurant and the variety of food is something that needs to be improved.
The reception staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Everyone was so welcoming.
We highly recommend the hotel to everyone and will definitely come back next time.

Fantastic facilities in this stylish property, combined with excellent customer service, friendly staff and high standards.
The property has a rooftop pool with amazing view of Petronas Towers (although no shade unfortunately) and a HUGE pool on the 6th floor with numerous places to sit or lounge including poolside cabanas and spa jet areas.
Room was spotless and very well equipped including full kitchen and washer/dryer.
Only negative was confusion on arrival as we were dropped by our taxi at the wrong tower (there are 3 towers that all go by the same name and address!) - better drop off instructions are needed - ask taxi to drop you at Alva restaurant for the correct entrance.
Staff were super welcoming and extremely helpful.
Would stay again if in KL.
