The rooms were well appointed with everything you needed. Loved having the wardrobe in the bathroom area. We used the balcony in the morning and after sunset when it was cooler. The buffet breakfast had a lot of great choices - just don’t go too late as it gets very busy! The bar cocktails were very reasonably priced and tasted great. It was very handy having plenty of free carparking too. Definitely would stay again.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious room, great view of the ocean, the Intrix tap for potable water on demand, proximity to the beach, good enough gym, not too crowded place in Langkawi, near other restaurants.

The cons: There were obvious signs of wear and tear in the room, e.g. the hairdryer that only has one setting (on or off via the power switch at the socket; all the buttons on the hairdryer no longer work), scuff marks on furniture, dirt on cushion for the deck chairs, and marks on the bed linen though they feel clean.

The aircon could not be turned up higher even though there was a thermostat. I was freezing throughout the stay, but that is still better than suffering from heat. The breakfast selection was decent, but could have benefitted from more healthy options like yoghurt and more vegetables. The worst aspect was how the room did block mild and moderate noises but could not block loud noises. The room doors tend to slam shut very loudly and loud car noises can be heard too. So be prepared to be woken up intermittently when you're trying to sleep at night or trying to sleep in.

Notwithstanding the cons, I had a pleasant stay.

We had a problem with the initial room and the staff was gracious and moved us. We had booked a balcony room for the sunset view of the ocean and unfortunately the glass barriers on ours were completely dirty and streaked so unless standing no view. All others looked clean. This was important to me, they listened and moved us. I was grateful.

Bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the location great. Beach was just across the street down a public access. 5 minute walk but they would shuttle you as well if needed.

Great overall service and would definitely book again.

Infinity pool was a highlight and very popular. Availability of summers depended on time of day and generally quieter late afternoon. Gym was well equipped

Food was consistently good from Nook restaurant. The girls serving of an evening were often kept very busy but always polite and apologetic for any delays in food or drinks. Breakfast selection was comprehensive although could do with some healthier cereal choices in the Western selection

Loved the pool especially at sunset. This was really the best part of the hotel. The restaurant only catered for some of the food and drink on the menu which was annoying. Also we got upgraded to a family room which was bigger but unfortunately the balcony couldn’t be used due to the smell from the garbage skip below us. Wish we just had our smaller room rather than the upgrade. The room was lacking a few amenities such as tv remote and hairdryer. Had to call house keeping daily for extra towel as they only gave us two instead of three.

The bar is not that pricey if you wanna have a drink or 2.

There is live music in the evening which i thoroughly enjoyed...

Its close to the beach and all water sport activities are nearby..there is even a buggy to drive to/from the beach

The pool was great for kids had so much fun...

Overall, a wonderful experience gonna miss this place a lot hope to visit this place soon again.😍

A lovely hotel, with kind staff. It was clean, and I had an ocean view room which was lovely. The downside being it is not on the beach, and while they have a shuttle there are no chairs or umbrellas to use while on the beach nor is there a bathroom close, other than going back to the hotel. It was well located otherwise, you could walk to town, shops and other restaurants. Breakfast was good, my only feedback as a foreigner is it would be nice to have a bit of a description beside the dishes, and a spice rating!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We had a lovely room, with a gorgeous view overlooking the pool and the ocean.
the toiletries were wonderful, and I loved the scent of the body wash.
The facilities were great - and we had a game of pool or two each night, and a drink at the bar.

We booked the transfer option with the hotel so from pickup at the airport, 15 minute drive, to drop off for our flight home everything was catered for including a romantic meal for two.

All the staff were great but particularly our driver who also took us on our trip to the SkyBridge and Cable car. One trip you have to book whilst you’re there.

Atmosphere at the hotel was relaxed with a nice outdoor pool and bar on the third floor. If you want a spot by the pool however you’ll need to get your towels out early 😂

Langkawi is not a big town but plenty of small restaurants walking distance from the hotel and the beech is a five minute stroll over the road.

A lot of hotel development is going on in the area but the Aloft is at the end of the strip so it’s views of the ocean will not be spoilt.

Great inviting set up at hotel. Open lobby, well done with roomy bar and common areas. Third floor hosts the pool deck, bar, restaurant, gym and kid’s playroom. All nicely executed and clean.

Rooms were large, bathrooms huge. Nice balcony. Space to spread out.

The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. However, based on the featured photo taken inside of the room, facing the balcony, we thought the hotel is right on the beach but alas it was not so that was rather disappointing. The bathroom tiles could use a good scrub to remove mould and there should be shelves in the shower area for us to put our own toiletries instead of on the floor. On the 2nd day when we came back at about 3pm, the room is hasn't been refreshed so we had no water & some needed toiletries. Had to cancel our nap as we wanted it freshen up. When we called the front desk, we were told that only rooms that required check-in on that day would be given priority for freshening up. We absolutely did not expect that answer especially since it was close to 3pm. When we got back later, only the bed was made and water replenished. None of the required toiletries were replenished. Not even the floor and face towel. So, it looked like a rush job just to shut us up. The buffet selection is good and the staff there are friendly and attentive. If only housekeeping is the same.

Great spread of breakfast as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you are visiting with young kids.

Booked 2 rooms: 805, 806. Front desk was kind to meet my request of having side by side rooms since my parents are elderlies. They provided wheelchair upon request. Easy to access room. Clean, nice view, well-kept facilities such as the gym and pool. Parking for rental cars are made easy. Breakfast spread was excellent. Service staffs are well-trained, has great initiative, and polite to guests.

A few notes to improve on: porter service was not prompt even after being offered, and there were strange noises from the rooftop at random, odd hours (12mn, 1am, 6.30am, 10.30pm), which they have no idea about and has no solution to. The noises like floor scraping and floor banging was too loud to be ignored.

Other than those, the stay was good. Thank you for accomodating us in Langkawi.

I booked a premium suite unbeknownst to me that it would be at the end facing the hallway. Due to religious beliefs, I informed the hotel immediately and requested a different room. I was told that suites are at the end of hallways. We agreed to move to a standard room less expensive (we paid $438/2 nights for suite) standard room we agreed to move to was only $160/ night. I felt I should’ve been reimbursed the difference, but the hotel only offered 200 Malaysia currency and a ride to the airport. I grudgingly excepted the offer due to long traveling day. Prior to staying at this hotel, I was in Penang. I found Penang’s hotel and restaurant staff were more courteous, more attentive, and friendlier than staff at this hotel. For instance, my wife and I ordered a simple hamburger &fries and a dis of spaghetti and it took more than an hour to make. We were not given any water, we had to request. In addition, we had to ask for plates and utensils. Four staff members were socializing at the front and we had to raise our hands for assistance each time. They were not attentive as those in Penang who would come to you and asked if everything was ok. In addition, I ordered room service of dessert and it took them over an hour to deliver. All and all, I was looking to this stay and was willing to pay too dollars for room, but it was a disappointment.

Really lovely hotel! My room had worn out wallpaper, and it wasn’t always swept very well during the cleaning but otherwise the place is almost perfect! The view of the ocean was exactly as pictured, the staff were lovely and it’s only 5 minutes walk to the beach. Great breakfast, room service options are plentiful and the food arrives promptly. I would stay here again.

Clean and quiet hotel with a very nice pool. Close to the beach and offer golf cart rides throughout the day. Breakfast very good and main town area about 10 min walk.

Great hotel with a even better location.

Absolutely great hotel with a even better location. Not exactly by the ocean but it’s very nice. Aside of the not so friendly check in lady, the service and attention for detail was great! They had a birthday cake for me in my room, and the free daily mini fridge with goodies in it is an absolutely great touch and wish more hotels did that also. Great staff, especially at breakfast. Great selection for buffet style breakfast, pool area was nice but small and can get over used and packed. Rooms with balconies are a great touch also. All in all fantastic stay, amazing location and would definitely stay here my next visit to Langkawi.

We had an amazing time . The beach is a short ride but they can take you on the buggy . The pool was great .cocktails great staff great .would recommend this hotel nice place to stay well done all staff at aloft
