Not sure why so bad reviews. I enjoyed my stay here - I knew what I was getting myself into. You are in the prime location one min from the beach. Good, clean, spacious rooms with a balcony view towards the ocean. You are facing the parking lot, not exactly ocean front, but still have a pretty good view. Staff was nice and accommodating. Female staff very generous in offering oranges.
My stay included a free cocktail for two on the second floor bar, and breakfast vouchers at old town coffee.
I ate the best bingsu at the ice cream shop down the street. Best location from all bars and restaurants and two fire shows.
For a 3 star hotel - full marks for me. You want luxury find a 4 or 5 star.

*shower door was not completely closed, water running on the floor - it is hazardous condition .

The staff were lovely and even left me some lovely treats and a bottle of wine.
My room was spotless and the cleaning staff were courteous and very thorough..
The hotel is in a very convenient location for everything you could possibly need from the beach, Duty Free shopping and Food.
Highly recommended. I will definitely stay again. 💯

The room was adequate in size but the air conditioner wasn’t cool enough and may need servicing. Room probably needs a deep clean prior to new quests arriving which I don’t think happens.

Easy to find on main street just behind beach. Lots of activity, shopping, restaurants, cafes very close. Seems to be quiet by 11pm, no problem with street noise. Small balcony facing street in my case, comfortable bed, good shower, good wifi. Quick efficient check in and check out. Taxi stand just outside if needed.

The hotel’s location is perfect. It is in the heart of all the activities. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the towels and beddings are very old. Some of the bath towels have holes and stains. Also, the sound insulation in the room is very poor. We could hear all the talking from the next room and the hallway. Again, we loved the location .

Made Langkawi proud.

Hotel is right in front of Cenang beach. From our balcony we have a partial view of the beach. It was blocked by the tall trees. Check in was fast as it is basically a two floored hotel with 44 rooms. Cards access to your floor. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Free parking available but it’s a distant, behind Cenang mall. Food stalls and shops all around.

Hotel was ok. Stayed in deluxe beach view room but the trees block out most of the view so I wouldn’t pay extra for that again. Bed comfortable and room clean; bathroom a bit tight for space and very basic, but functional. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Location super good, not clean ir room, a specialy floor, never mop with water. Toweels is a bigest problem, they dont have enouth them, and then u coming back from breach and want go to shower, u dont have towels at all, not even hand towel. And if u do have towels they are look like floormop at home. And toilet paper, u lucky if u have it. Advice for hotel invest to buy new towels, its shame to use towels like this

Location is perfect for restaurants and beach. The room is modern, has a huge bed, balcony, and is very clean. Staff also friendly and check in was easy.

Unfortunately the sound proofing is non existent. The rooms have a door between them, with gaps, so you can hear everything happening next door. I struggled to sleep with neighbours watching TV, talking and being on phones. I had to go tell them to be quiet numerous nights.

The shower also did not drain. I told reception and they said they would fix it, but did not.

I guess good value for money.

Lovely staff. Rooms were excellently taken care of, very clean and everything immediately restocked. Very much enjoyed my stay.
Unfortunately there was a band playing opposite the hotel every night of my stay, so was a little noisy. There was also no light switch or lamp near the bed which wasnt great if you have to get up at night.

Pros:- Superb location with easy access to wide selection of eateries and nice and clean beach just behind the hotel. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Cons:- 1) There's no 2-way switches for room lights. 2) Need to get out of bed to turn off lights. TV remote control is as good as no remote control! The TV box is installed behind the TV and facing towards the floor - incredulous! 3) Bath towels look unclean and old, with fraying edges! 4) Noise (sounding like pump motor running) coming on and off intermittently in short duration and affecting sleep. I'd give this hotel 5-stars rating if/when the management can solve or rectify all the \"Cons\" mentioned. Thank you.

The winning point is the location. It's right by the beach, close to a variety of restaurants and duty free shops. The rooms have modern decor and comfortable beds. However, the shower should have better upkeep. The towels and floors don't look as clean, this is likely due to guests using them at the beach and tracking sand into the rooms.

We are so happy that we stayed here, the hotel is in the center of Cenang and overlooking the beach. The services we received from this hotel were top notch. From check it till departure they Did everything they could to feel wanted and appreciated. The room was clean and spacious, house keeping was great and friendly, the bottle of wine to say thank you for staying with us appreciated. All employees looked happy and treated us that way.

Excellent location. The property is in the most happening place in Langkawi. It is on the Pantai Cenang beach with lots of food options nearby. The hotel is spotlessly clean despite being on the beach. Rooms are small but adequate for two. Negatives are no breakfast and slightly on the expensive side given the hotel rates in Malaysia. I guess a couple would not have too much to complain. But we had a three member family and family rooms facing the beach were very expensive and smaller rooms facing the street can not accommodate three persons. So, we had to book two rooms for us.

This is the spot! It's perfect for someone who wants to be near the action but not at a resort. The rooms are a great size, very comfortable, and everything was in great working order. If you need a taste of home there is a Starbucks across the street. Lots of great local and international food choices within easy walking distance. Extremely good bang for the buck.

It is a no-frill hotel that is located right behind the beach. Took only 2 min walk to the beach, it was indeed convenient and pleasant. Decent mall (Cenang Plaza Mall) just opposite the hotel with Starbucks, Manhattan fish market and etc. Convenience stores and massages are just located adjacent to the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay and wouldn't mall to return to this hotel for my next trip to Langkawi. Thank you.

Service and staff were great. They were friendly. Location was good, opposite the beach and along a stretch of touristy shops and food. They have some music going on at the beach every night we were there. Room was very tidy and clean. Had the balcony facing the beach, which had beautiful sunsets. Very easy to get taxi/Grab service there. Only bad thing was during our stay, there was some drilling and hammering above us. We were travelling with an infant so that wasn't great. Also other guests walking and talking/laughing/shouting outside were quite loud. Otherwise, it's an acceptable place to stay.

El personal fue muy amable. Está cerca en la parte turística de la isla donde encuentras de todo. al frente del mall. La habitación era cómoda y tenía todo lo necesario. No tiene salida directa a la play, pero está muy cerca cruzando un estacionamiento. Lo único malo fue que cuando llegamos las sábanas tenían arena, pero las cambiaron por unas limpias sin problemas.

Status of my complaint

What’s the status of my reported complaint? Have you traced and verified the call I made on 13 Jul, approx 1300h Malaysia time, to confirm with agent if my reservation is valid and credit card charged, as there was error message and did not receive any immediate confirmation?
The agent has assured me that there was no reservation made and my credit card was not charged, and that the room that I was attempting to book may not be available anymore as the reason for this failure of reservation transaction.
It was only by 27 Jul did I realise that I was charged for a booking via hotels.com at RM176.36 to my credit card, without my knowledge or permission! I called hotels.com again on this day and seek clarification. I have since made room booking via other agent at a lower rate as I was informed that my reservation via hotels.com was unsuccessful.
I was informed by Nadia to look out for an email within 72 hours, when they will trace and check if I did make the call on 13 Jul and was advised by the agent did confirm that my reservation was not successful.
It’s been more than 72 hours and I have yet to receive any email or call from hotels.com on this.

We had a late flight and would’ve loved a slightly later check out to perhaps 2PM. However, we were informed that we would have to pay. Price offered was almost the price of one night accomodation at this hotel.

This hotel is run very efficiently and is located right next to the beach with an abundance of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very clean and everything worked. Air conditioning was quiet and could be adjusted to whatever temperature you prefer. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. Daily housekeeping with drinking water provided. Private balcony not shared with other guests or overlooked by other rooms. Lift takes you to your room.

This was my second time staying here. The location is unbeatable as it is on the main road of Cenang Beach with the beach behind and all the shops in front. The rooms are a good size and clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. A bit of maintanence required in the toilet and corridors. Overall an excellent stay. I'll be back!

Visited the hotel during LIMA period.
1) hotel doesn’t have enough spare towels especially the towel quality is bad (thin)
2) upon check out, I was accused of STEALING their hair dryer but they ended up finding it in the cupboard
3) staff are not well trained especially after accusing a customer of stealing, they did not apologize and instead they said I should have placed it back where I found it..!
4) last but not least, the staff had no courtesy to tell me that I dropped a 50 dollar note on the floor and when I realized and ran back in; she was just staring right onto the floor where the 50 dollar note was laying!
I have stayed in Langkawi many times; but never have I had such bad experience.
I will never choose Cenang Beach Plaza Hotel again and will not recommend anybody here.

Was received by Mr Megat, gave us cold towels to freshen up during check in, carried our luggages. Showed us how to use the aircond and tv remote in the room. And on the last day we were give soft drinks during check out. First time we experienced such service! View from street facing rooms are not that bad especially during night time.
Pros: location. Centre of chenang. In front of chenang plaza mall. Free parking. Comfortable bed. Good shower.

Overall my 3d2n with Cenang Plaza Beach was good. Finished my simple and relax trip here and celebrated birthday. Hotel did help to do a simple decorate. For me, I'm fine with the hotel beach view. Location is good and convenient to everywhere, if you need to park your car, this hotel provides parking bay.
