Amazing!!!

Beautiful beachfront low density hotel. Staff were unbelievably attentive, nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. The food was excellent. The room was spotless. The common areas were really well maintained. I've read some reviews criticising the jet skis at the front of the hotel on the beach. Quite frankly whoever complains about that are just looking for something to complain about. They didn't detract from the hotel at all. The beach is not busy at the front of the hotel either.
The hotel kindly put a bottle of red wine in our room to enjoy as a thank you, which was so very kind and unexpected. Whilst there were a few families staying at the hotel it is more geared to adults. All in all it was a fabulous stay, looked after by amazing staff. Thank you so much

Great location right on Cenang Beach. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Ample beach loungers and umbrellas. Lots to do on the beach (i.e. jet ski rentals, parasailing, etc.). Convenient location for excursions and from the airport. Included breakfast is very good with a lot of variety. Chef makes most things from scratch - including the fresh fruit sorbet we ordered one night. Many restaurants and shops steps away - including laundromats if you need to do some laundry as we did. Room and bed are very comfortable - and a/c and ceiling fans work well. Great stay!

Very friendly and helpful staff from the moment we arrived. Facilities were great with clean and spacious room.
However, there were some small maintenance related problems we faced that could have been remedied beforehand.
Examples:
1. Staircase light were out which made it difficult to climb the steps down at night, especially when it had rained earlier. We reported this to a staff that visited our room to check if things were ok. However this didn't get remedied until we left.
2. Room lighting could be better as we found it quite inadequate at night when we were packing.
3. The desk lamp fixture needed attention, where the diffuser glass needed to be secured (screwed in) or risk of falling off and breaking.
4. Bathroom door louver was pretty dusty, but only noticable when the bathroom lights were turned on.

Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
The breakfast was great. The spread was adequate, plus there were additional options in the menu. We just has to request for what we wanted and the duty staff were quick to prepare and serve them.
There was a coffee machine in our room as well as an electric kettle, so we could make coffee and tea in our room, plus cookies and peanuts as snacks.
The place also provided bicycles for guest use. They looked in very good condition, I'm a cycling enthusiast.
I may have missed a few more. Fing out and experience the place for yourselves!

A last minute decision to go to Langkawi and stay at casa del mar turned out to be the best part of our holiday. The location is perfect and beyond beautiful. The staff are wonderful with lots of little special touches starting with handwritten welcome letter. The beds are so comfortable and the breakfast great. There is nothing we did not love and can’t wait till we can return again.

Truly excellent stay at Casa del Mar, Langkawi. Everything about it was perfect. The staff were wonderful, friendly and dedicated themselves to improving your stay. Food was excellent, the pool is great and it's right on a wonderful beach. The water must've been over 30C everyday.

It's not a big resort, so it feels really personable. We got great recommendations for tours and car rentals. The room was big and clean with a great bathroom and enormous, comfy bed.

It's on a busy part of the strip with shops and restaurants, though you wouldn't know when in the property, as it feels peaceful.

This is a place we'd definitely return to. Thanks a lot for everything!

Casa Del Mar is a beautiful spot right on the beach. The staff were friendly and always on call. The beach villa was spacious and there were some lovely touches in the room. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Only down side is some of the furniture is a little dated in parts but after the first day we hardly noticed it and had a fantastic stay here. We can highly recommend it!

What an amazing welcome from the staff it was my husbands birthday and the staff were amazing .
Our room was spacious comfortable and clean with a beautiful coffee machine and home made biscuits.
The pool towels were a great size and plentiful.
Food was great and the relaxing breakfast very tasty with a great selection of food.
We used the gym which was compact but good enough to train, the bikes we used to cycle around Langkawi and the spa. I had a 90 min massage which was heaven. We would love to return.

Honestly this hotel completely exceeded my expectations, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!

I booked a beachfront room at Casa del Mar between 9th - 11th July.

The hotel is beautifully placed on the beachside, the area is calm, clean and quiet, during the evening it gets busy on the beach as there are loads of food stalls around with entertainment, body massage and shisha, the atmosphere is amazing! You can also experience dinner on the beach during sunset, beautiful ambience indeed!🌴☀️
Plenty of water activities around from jet-skiing, to paragliding and banana boating, the locals are extremely friendly and helpful!

The hotel staff greeted us with exceptional hospitality, the room was very spacious, had all the amenities you needed my friend requires gluten free food and the hotel caters for this which is very important! The breakfast buffet was delicious, a variety of choices to choose from!

Whilst we were sitting on the decks outside the hotel we were presented with a jug full of lemon water, ice cream and a fruit platter. This hotel is definitely a home away from home, and I have recommended this hotel to anyone who has asked me about Langkawi! I will most definitely be back to stay for a lot longer :)

I have travelled to many countries around the world and no other hotel has left an impression like Casa Del Mar has!

Thank you sooooo much for making my holiday memorable! This was the highlight of my trip to Malaysia!! 😆🌟

We didn’t know prior to booking that the ground floor beachfront studio suite would not accept children. The hotel contacted me promptly after noticing my request for a toddler bed and graciously upgraded my room to the junior suite on level 2. Even though I would have preferred a more direct access to the pool/beach, I could see that the ground floor rooms pose a danger to children because they could easily get out through the back door. We had the beach all to ourselves and we enjoyed our beachfront dinner at the restaurant. They serve a full breakfast, not just a buffet, which means you get to order food from the menu on top of whatever is served on the buffet. It’s a small property so it’s pretty cosy and quiet save for the noise my kids make (sorry!). The hotel plans social activities for the guests to mingle and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Terima kasih atas layanan mesra dan penjagaan rapi setiap keperluan kami sekeluarga. Sehingga berjumpa lagi warga Casa del Mar!

The pictures online do not do this hotel justice. Everything is incredibly well kept up and comfortable and the hotel provides everything you could think of to keep you comfortable. I loved the nice touches like the free cookies and peanuts in the room and the coffee/tea bar in the library. There is a great selection of DVD's and books in a variety of languages. We were upgraded for free to a beach front room, which was literally steps away from the beach. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge.

The food at La Sal is excellent, a bit pricey for Malaysia, but extremely good quality. The tables are set out on the beach during sunset, which makes for quite the special experience.

The only con I can think of would be that the fresh fruit in our room was not replaced on the second day as the staff said it would be during check-in. The dirty plates/cutlery weren't cleared away by the cleaning staff during the day so they stayed there the whole weekend.

We stayed in a beach front room which was really lovely. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a coffee machine in the room and jars of biscuits and peanuts, topped up daily. The pool is lovely and the staff bring jugs of iced water to you as you lie by the pool or beach. I had a massage in the spa which was also great. The restaurant does great food and at dinner the tables are set up on the beach. The staff are all really lovely and so helpful. I would highly recommend and wI'll definitely be returning

Only negative things was a noisy AC-unit our room, the fridge didn't really cool and our room was next to a beach bar that played music until 1 in the morning, but because it was only until 1AM it was okay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort at Pantai Cenang. We were offered a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival, and a staff member explained the facilities available - spa, books and DVDs we could borrow and play in our room, public computer, gym and pool. Our room was spacious and equipped with a bathtub, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, coffee machine (+ capsules). Wi-Fi was stable throughout the day. The location of this resort is also great - we could step out of our room immediately onto the quieter end of Pantai Cenang beach, and a short walk would bring us to the more bustling beach area where there are many water activities available. There is also a good seafood restaurant nearby - Orkid Ria, where we enjoyed delicious seafood at affordable prices. There were many options for the buffet breakfast - in addition to the food items laid out, we could also order ala carte items, such as Roti Cenai, mee goreng, pancakes and french toast, which were really yummy as well. Overall a comfortable and delightful stay!

Perfect Beach Getaway

Picked this hotel over the Four Seasons due to the rooms being right on the beach. Walk out your door and you are on the sand. Found out during our stay that the staff is second to none, pamper you to the point you feel guilty.

Food was excellent, both the free breakfast (inspired made to order dishes) and the dinner on the beach was incredible (both the food and the sunset dining on the beach).

If you made me pick something to improve, it would be the showers are a bit small, but that is like trying to complain about winning the lottery. Even the showers were nice, great water pressure, rain like shower head, tons of hot water, just a bit small for a 6 foot person like me.

Spent 2 days 3 night at hotel. Stayed in the beachfront studio room. Room is clean. My husband finds the bed is a bit soft, whereas the pillow seems too high for my liking. The standing shower area is cramped and narrow. Not much space to manoeuvre during shower. Breakfast buffer is simple. However you can order food from the menu should you want some thing warm direct from the kitchen which is non-chargeable.
The staff are polite and helpful. Overall our stay there is fine.

Heaven is a place on earth called Casa del Mar

Casa del Mar is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. From the outside it doesnt look much but once inside you will never want to leave. The staff, the facilities, the rooms and the view were all amazing. It is definately a home from home hotel, it may be 5 stars but the warmth that radiates from it is wonderful. The staff go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be from helping to arrange day trips to turning down your bed and lighting candles in your room when you retire for the night. If you choose to stay at this hotel you will not regret it.

THis was our first trip to Langkawi and our first time staying at Casa Del Mar. From beginning to the end the hotel stay was very kind, pleasing and accommodating to all our needs. The bartenders were very nice and always worked full time to make amazing cocktails. The pool was cleaned every night and the beach is right outside your doorway. We rented a beach front suite and it was worth the little extra. Regardless of where your room is, this hotel has it going on. Casa Del Mar is so fitting to Langkawi with its low key beachy vibes but still classy and clean and beautiful spanish style hotel with incredible sunsets behind the near by islands which you can view right when you walk out of your hotel room. All the fun activities are a 5 minute walk away in either direction on the beach. Lots of great restaurants along the streets and we did the MEGA water sports jet ski tour which could not have been any more amazing. I will definitely stay here again and again. PS beach is beautiful with fine white sand.

Best hotel in Langkawi

After driving around Langkawi I'm sure we picked the best hotel. The position is amazing the staff are very helpful, the room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast cooked fresh for you. We were able to relax from the moment we arrived. Wifi was good. The bed was really comfy. Not a bad thing to say

Casa del Mar will not disappoint you

Our short stay was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The hotel lived up to its excellent reputation in every aspect with dining on the beach a delight. Internet although free was very slow but that was not an issue for us. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. We'd certainly recommend this hotel to others going to Langkawi and looking at the top end of the market. Business travellers beware that Langkawi Airport has no business class facilities so get a late checkout!

Great hotel with even better service

Excellent hotel that meets every expectation. Great pool area and plenty
deckchairs around the pool and on the beach with clean towels daily. The breakfast is a feast, and the service really of the highest standard. Good location and within easy walking distance of local restaurants and shops. I doubt that you will find anything better in Cenang.

Great hotel on the beach

Stayed for 3 nights, had a room right on the beach. Room was clean and comfortable, the staff was wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is very well located right by the \"main strip\" of the island. They were also very helpful in helping me plan my activities and gave great advice. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful.
I forgot my cap in the transportation back from the diving trip, and they really made all efforts until I got my cap back.

Beautiful hotel, attentive staff, rooms are great - fabulous king-size bed, huge towels. The location is beachfront so you can't ask for anything more. The things that make the ultimate difference are the nice little touches in the room - a real coffee machine with real coffee, fresh fruit every day, a note advising you of tomorrow's weather, and even a scented bookmark (different scent every evening). The one downer was the restaurant - we arrived late afternoon after travelling all day and ordered lunch. Admittedly it was 3pm but the food we got was overcooked and stale. We didn't eat there for the rest of our stay.

Great location for a beach stay

Casa del Mar isn't a five star luxury resort (unlike, say, Hotel Tugu in Lombok, Indonesia) but it ticks all the boxes for a short stay - clean, comfortable, friendly attentive staff, fantastic fresh juices in a fabulous beachfront location.A beachfront villa is the way to go. The key is that it is a short plane flight from KL, and then a super short taxi ride from Langkawi Airport. For us, it was the perfect escape from KL for a long weekend and we spent more time on the beach than in transit, which is what u want when time is of the essence.

We only had one full day on Langkawi - wish we could have stayed a little longer at this excellent hotel.
Our only slight niggle were the noisy jet skis in the sea nearby.
Not sure if there were (m)any jelly fish, as we didn't have time to swim in the sea - but the hotel pool was great!

Our stay began with a personal check in over a welcome drink followed by a tour of the hotel and amenities in our room. We loved all the LITTLE TOUCHES from cute little pots of bath salt and shampoo, handmade soap, biscuits, fruit and a nespresso machine to beach bags, robes and candles lit for your return from the beach in the evening. This hotel will constantly SURPRISE you.

The hotel personal BREAKFASTS are made to order and there's a good range of cereal, bread and homemade preserves and juices that you help yourselves to. As well as a new surprise addition to the buffet table every day- one day quiches, another muffins, and then our personal favourite- the DIY champagne Bellini's! We would enjoy a leisurely breakfast enjoying views of the sea!

Throughout the day expect more surprises with complimentary iced citrus water, homemade mango ice cream and skewers of melon delivered to your comfy sun lounger!

We enjoyed SUNSET COCKTAILS on the beach and spinning the wheel during happy hour in an attempt to win free cocktails, then two tasty meals at the restaurant. The hotel LIBRARY and DVD rental (to watch in your room or the cinema lounge) was also a really great service!

My only advice to the hotel would be to improve the WI-FI; whilst we had no problem connecting in the restaurant and on the beach, we were disappointed that our 'in-room wi-fi' was never available.

Great stay at Casa Del Mar

We stayed for one week Dec. 9-16, 2013 and really enjoyed it. It's a beautiful hotel with each room facing the ocean. The hotel is right on the beach. In addition, la Sal, their restaurant, is the top ranked restaurant in the area. If you have ever dreamed of a romantic dinner on the beach, this is it. All the tables are on the beach! All the drinking water is complimentary and they even gave us a bottle of wine at the end of our stay. Fantastic place for a holiday!

Just a truly delightful holiday.

This hotel certainly sets the bar for all other holiday hotels in how to behave and treat their hotel guests. All staff could speak English for a start and give you a welcoming smile and hello. Staff bringing you iced water, ice cold flanels to your sunbed on the beach directly in front of the hotel along with fruit and ice creams in the afternoons. No need to go out in the evenings as the hotel dining is just first class. Sometimes preparing the tables and dining on the beach under moonlight. Other nice touches include free postcards and post, free film videos for you to watch and free coffee/tea until 3pm each day. Scented candles are lit in your bedroom along with fresh fruit. Just a shame all other hotels didn't provide the same 1st class service. Don't look anywhere else!

Wonderful Experience For A Short Getaway

It was a wonderful experience in my short getaway with my family member. Great place to just rest and relax. I think with Casa Del Mar's boutique hotel concept, it's nice to enjoy the peace and quiet in the Hotel and white sandy beach front. Just one thing, I hope the Hotel's Food & Beverage Team will improve their breakfast quality of the Asian cuisines and provide complimentary in-room fruit platter that are more fresh/juicy. Dinner items from a-la-carte menu was good. Thank you to all the friendly service team at Casa Del Mar...keep it up !

We had quite high expectations in advance, but this place delivered more than we ever had hoped for. The beach front location was just magnificent, the food delicious, the staff friendliness exceptional, the personal touch at night where jazz music was turned on in our room, scented oil burning, water bottle & glass for the night placed on the bedside table including a little note with weather forecast and activity recommendations for the following day. What more is there to wish for? We hope to be back one day.
