This property was unique and highly thought out. There is a massage chair in the room!!! There are electrical plug in towers on every surface- no struggle to find a plug! The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was quick to respond. The hot tub and pool were crystal clean. We will definitely stay here again!

GREAT Experience!!

If you are lucky enough to get a room here -- you will find out why it's always booked solid. Absolutely top end property -- great staff, excellent accommodations, personal service, and very, very clean and safe. When you are in a place as remote as Ajo you never know what you're going to get -- I can't imagine every staying anywhere else (if I can help it)!!

What an amazing cabin in the middle of the desert! Eclectic, quirky decoration, comfortable bed, and an abundance of table and chairs, both porches and inside. Refrigerator and microwave - both necessities in a small town with few restaurants. The pool and hot tub were closed due to weather, but enjoyed the massage chair in our cabin. What a delightful experience.

This is the second time I stayed at this motel, the first time was with different management. This trip the staff person was great, very helpful, showed me to my room, showed me how everything worked and made sure I was comfortable with how it all worked. my only problem was the room decour. If your looking for a room in Ajo I would not hesitate to stay here if you don't mind modern bright decour. I would stay here again.

The upgrade is awesome, very nice, clean, well kept inside and out. Quiet setting is what i appreciated no loud neighbors, we stayed in one of the cabins there was nothing we needed everything was already in place for our stay at the La Siesta Motel. I definitely recomend everyone to stay here. I would definitely return . Thank You La Siesta.

We arrived at night, and there were so many decorative lights and extra bling, I thought we had the wrong place at first. I started thinking we might need to find a different spot. The host and owner, Zach, is so charming, he put us at ease immediately. He personally accompanied us to our casita (dolled-up park model). The place was decorated over the top and very funny. You have to experience this place. Words are inadequate. You could bring in groceries and stay for weeks- there's even your own grill to use. We're coming back!

We stayed here to be close to the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. There were not a lot choices but this one had good reviews and I went for it. And I am so glad I did! It was fun, quirky, comfortable, affordable, friendly, you name it! This is an old moter court that has been revamped and additional cabins and RV pads added. We were in one of the new cabins. It had everything we needed. Including a massage chair! That was a big surpirse but I used the heck out of it. The owner had not overlooked one thing to make this cabin comfortable. There are even two bathrooms - one with a vanity and shower, the other with a sink and toilet. There is no restaurant or coffee in the lobby but coffee maker in the room. We went down the road to the local convience store and got a homemade breakfast burrito and hot coffee,. A front and back porch, big screen TV, plenty of outlets to plug in all your electronics. Visited with the neighbors before heading out. Awesome place that was almost completely full the night we were there. Definately recommend and will go back!

There is a wonderful pool but unfounately it was locked on the lovely afternoon we were free to use it (or the hot tub despite a notice saying be courteous and limit your time in it) because of the number of guests!!!

La Siesta ccommodated me at the last minute with their last open cabin. Cabins are cute, quiet and have everything you need. I wasn't expecting a refrigerator and microwave! Comfortable, quiet, and very clean. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. Its a perfect spot to rest when visiting southern AZ.

It’s an old not huge motel but it’s very good freshly renovated, clean and the staff is more than friendly and helpful on every step.
I strongly recommend this place when you are in the area and wish to visit Organ Pipe National Monument witch is beautiful and one of it’s kind

Maybe because it was a weekend, or because we stayed 2 nights our room was never freshened up, nor were we given fresh towels or coffee for the coffeemaker. Also the sign said the pool was open until 9pm, but was closed when we got there at 8 pm. It was 112 degrees out!,

It's a bit of of town for us, bit then again there's not much town anyway. The cabin was very clean but also very small. No roon for any clothes. Basically it was o.k for two nights. Can't really fault it for where it was. If you are visisting Organ PIpe and are o.k driving into town foe a meal you can't realy go wrong.

Well maintained facility. Cabins with surrounding desert flora. Manager very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are small. Very comfortable bed and quiet AC. only difficulty was high step into and out of room. Those with disabilities may not want to use a cabin room.

Nice Hotel near Organ Pipe National Monument

This was our second visit to Ajo and the La Siesta. It is an older property, but the staff works hard to keep everything clean and in good order. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. If you are visiting Organ Pipe and you aren't camping, Ajo is as close as you can stay. We are happy with the La Siesta and will stay there again the next time we visit.

Nice motel in Ajo

We were told this was the \"Hilton of Ajo\" but we cannot attest to that since we did not see the other motels. It certainly fit our needs. We stayed in a small cabin which was clean and had a mini kitchen. My husband is big and he had a little trouble in the bathroom and shower because of how small they are (also-the bathroom does not have a sink- it is in the kitchen area). The bed was awesome! The property is quiet and well kept, and we felt very safe there. We were met by the owner at check -in and he showed us to our cabin and made sure we knew how to operate the TV and heater.They are very serious about customer service!

We need separate rooms because of snoring. Their little cabins were great choice, nested in a well oasis like landscaped cluster with bbq grill and tables. Night lighting good, and even had a wildlife encounter (coyote) with a glimpse of this passing rascal.

Awesome place in Ajo, very well run : clean, very comfortable (Tempurpedic) beds, ultra quiet high end AC/Heat unit, very friendly staff, great wifi.
Outdoor area has superb BBQs (w/ excellent brand new grill set), palm trees planted everywhere, flowers, picnic tables.
We stayed in a cabin for two nights while visiting Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

Cabins are VERY SMALL, no sink in bathroom, (no room) better not be over 5’11”, won’t fit I the shower.
Noisy plant outside, needs to be trimmed away from window.

Just stayed 1 night in a cabin. Cabin faced RV parking, which was pretty full. Was quiet at night. King bed was comfortable. TV good,with basic channels. Did not use wifi. There is a notice posted that water tank is only 20 gallons, so don't take long showers. The shower had good pressure. The small sink in kitchenette is also used for brushing teeth, etc. Fridge kept travel ice packs frozen. The town square is very charming, with a sort of farmer's market on Saturday. Tried Agave restaurant and it's probably the best place in town.

Comfortable Motel in Ajo Arizona

Motel is older but it was obvious that effort has been taken to make the rooms very comfortable—new, very comfortable beds, and very clean. We were welcomed by Zach who showed us to our room and gave a brief explaination on the special lighting within the room, and simple instructions on accessing features on the TV. Room had a fridge and microwave but no hair dryer.

This is an RV park and motel. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who had his son take us to our room and show us where to park our car. he made sure the key worked and explained a few things about the room. It was super clean, comfortable bed and clean smelling linens.

Stayed in a cabin. Was very clean, bed was comfortable, however the outside lights were a bit bright and the window shades don't block a lot of light. We had to drape a blanket over the window to darken the room.

Beyond that the host was friendly, the grounds seemed very secure and safe, and there was free bottled water which was nice. Would stay there again.

THE Place to stay in Ajo!

We booked a room in the main building of the motel at the end of October. Upon our arrival we were warmly received by the motel staff, and were immediately impressed with the friendliness and courtesy of everyone we encountered. The room was spacious and clean, and appointed with everything advertised and more. We were surprised to find how quiet it was, even though located on the main roadway through Ajo. The pool was clean and very much appreciated at the end of each day. Although the heater for the outdoor spa was inoperative on the day we arrived, the motel staff had it up and running for the remainder of our stay. The housekeeping staff were both friendly and thorough. Special ammenities included unlimited bottled water, and additional towels for both the room and the pool. All in all a very pleasant stay, and we will definitely be back to the La Siesta the next time we visit Ajo!

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I've never experienced a more comfortable bed in my entire existence. My only wish is that the jacuzzi was operational in the summer. It's understandable though due to the summer Arizona climate. This motel is definitely paradise.

Best lodging close to Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Park

As much bottled water as you need free gratis; the staff offered suggestions on dining and gave safety heads-up information on what to look for if you wanted to go out for a walk. This is rattlesnake country and spiders, and scorpions and lizards (big ones) live here. We are the visitors, so it's vital to know what to be aware of for your own safety as well as for the wildlife that you may come into contact with. We drove into Ajo, AZ from Phoenix, and expected the 95 degree temperature. Since check in was not until 3 pm, we headed on down to the Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Park and spent 4 hours there before returning to La Siesta Motel for the evening. We were very happy we chose this property for its charm and offered features. The price was as expected from Expedia and both cabins were what we hoped for. When we returned from our dinner outing, my husband opened a closet and found a 5-inch diameter spider inside. Yikes! We captured it in the ice bucket with a magazine as the closure and brought it outside to release it. I was very glad there was a good comedy on the TV that evening so I could try to erase the \"spider episode\" from my mind and get a good night of rest. We still kept our shoes on the bed just in case a trip to the rest room was in order during the night. I also kept a small night light ON. Location, location, location. You can't stop the wildlife sometimes. No one was damaged. We would stay here again too.

This was an amazing motel. Not only was our room great but the manager had pride in showing us to our room. In addition, the motel is a botanical delight with highly diverse and colorful landscaping. We saw a variety of wildlife attracted by the flora of the motel.

An Oasis in the dessert

Enjoyable experience in Ajo, Arizona

We stayed at the La Siesta in Ajo when we went to see Organ Pipe National Monument and the spring wild flowers. We had a large comfortable room with a king bed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything in the room was clean and in good working order. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. We would recommend the La Siesta to anyone staying in Ajo and will stay there again if we find ourselves in Ajo.

If cozy is your thing you will never beat this.

The cabin I stayed in was a little world it was honestly hard to leave. Didn't use the pool (nasty outside) and probably wouldn't have. All the rustic touches and the techy ones too. Comfortable bed, great places to sit and plan the next day, and the best shower I had on my trip. Reserved on the spur of the moment and probably didn't make a better decision on my trip. And I made lots of good ones.
