Granted it was Fashion Week in Milan but we were charged nearly twice the normal rate for mediocre accommodations. The room was small, worn, and outdated. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. The one bright spot was the staff who were excellent, and the location was convenient.

The room had two twin beds put together, side tables and one folding wooden chair in the corner. Definitely disappointed from what I saw online when reserving. I felt like it was in a hostile. Beautiful staircase. Outdoor seating area was horrible. Dirty with all kinds of stuff just laying around. Inside the halls were very worn down with marks all over the walls. Again, staff was exemplary but accommodations were lackluster and very disappointing. Also, again, our room was a “upgrade” from a “standard” room. I can’t imagine what that room was like.

A well-located hotel, around a 25-minute walk from the central attractions. The trade-off is that it is an older building and everything is quite cramped, from the single lift that would struggle to accommodate more than 2 people to the size of the room and en-suite, which has most things you need (though no coffee-making facilities) - mostly within arms reach! A balcony was a plus given the size of the room, but although it had a table and chairs, it seemed otherwise somewhat uncared for. On a euros-per-square-foot basis, it was pretty expensive, but that seems to be the way with major European cities these days.
Staff are efficient and friendly, breakfast is decent (though could perhaps be a little more varied each day) so overall it was good, but not great.

10/10 experience! I cannot recommend this property enough! This was my first time visiting Milan and, even before my stay began, the staff at Hotel Lancaster were super communicative and made me feel at ease.
The room itself was incredibly spacious, comfortable, had a beautiful window that offered views of the street below, and was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Milan.
The location couldn’t have been better and is close to everything (restaurants, shopping, etc.). I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning on my next visit to Milan.

We loved staying at the Lancaster Hotel. It is an older building but was absolutely spotless with a great breakfast and wonderful staff. It was in a quiet area near some great restaurants. It’s a beautiful walk to the Duomo (about a mile) we enjoyed this property a lot

The hotel is a little in need of some renovations but I would stay here again. It has everything you need and the staff are fabulous. Dining options are a short walk away and there are a lot of great choices. Lots of green spaces and walking into the centre of town is about 30 minutes.

I needed a room for 3 and this was very comfortable with a 3rd bed that was not a sofa bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was charming, and breakfast was included. I had a wonderful stay at the Lancaster Hotel. I realized on arrival (after traveling for nearly 24 hours!) that I had lost my passport and the concierge was so kind and helped to call the cab company to try to find it. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was lovely and delicious. All the staff were lovely. I would not hesitate to come here again and would recommend to anybody. The only downside is it a little distance to the nearest metro stop but there is a tram that goes nearby, and if you don’t mind a 10-15 minute walk it is not bad! The area seemed safe to walk in alone at night (I did multiple times as a young woman and never felt unsafe). Thanks again to all at Lancaster Hotel for a great stay!
