What a clean, wonderful place to stay. Convenient location on side street across from Main Synagogue. Large room with 2 twins and one King (sleeps 4). Great, clean bath. Plenty of hot water. Included breakfast had great variety and plenty of tasty food. Great wifi. And the last minute price (I got stranded in Budapest overnight when airline lost my reservation) was fantastic. To be clear, this wonderful place punches way above its weight! Note that many buildings on this one block-long street share the same street number (4), so taxi/Uber may discharge you up the block at a residential complex with a large courtyard. This hotel is the building on the corner near the back end of the synagogue (see photo). If you were dropped off in the middle of the block, backtrack to the imposing building on the corner your driver passed. There is a street level cafe/restaurant before you get to the main door on the corner. The hotel's on-site 24 hour bar/cafe and breakfast spot is inside the hotel and one floor down (use stairs or elevator from lobby). All employees were friendly, professional and courteous and spoke excellent English if that's important to you. They were able to direct me to a Yettel store to buy a SIM card, and also assist in telling me where to pick up my Uber upon checkout. An absolutely delightful place to spend an unexpected extra night in Budapest--and the location can't be beat. BTW, the central location was surprisingly quiet at night on a national holiday.

Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. More like a Travelodge or motel. Room smelled stuffy and moldy. Can hear everything in the street. So loud. Phone in room doesn’t work so when you need anything you have to physically go to reception desk. Blow dryer doesn’t work. No tub. Rooms are tiny! Pics are deceiving. Location is great but nothing else really. And I had the one do the biggest rooms she said with barely enough room to walk around the bed.

We would totally stay at Hotel Memories again. 4 adults in one room that had two separate rooms (1 queen, 2 singles) and one bathroom. The rooms had air conditioning which is RARE in Europe. Room wasn't spacious but did the job. Free snacks and juices throughout day into the evening. Perfect location to transit. Parking our rental car was off-site and a little pricey. Staff very friendly.

The perfect base to explore the city, this well-equipped, clean and friendly hotel is located in the heart of the Jewish Quarter within walking distance of all of the spectacular landmarks of Budapest. The breakfast selection is excellent and the adjoining restaurant offers a limited but delicious menu. The staff were knowledgable about the area and happy to make restaurant reservations and book spa tickets. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The staff were welcoming. Room and shower were perhaps a little on the smaller side but perfectly adequate and very clean - housekeeping everyday. We did find the room a little warm and stuffy as we were on the ground floor so couldn’t leave window open and air conditioning is not used in Budapest until later in the year apparently. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and plenty of it.
Hotel situated minutes from 100E airport express stop so convenient and cheap to transfer to/from. Trams, buses and metro also only a few minutes away so easy to get to all sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel and happiky stay here again.

Lovely, centralised property in the Jewish Quarter. Stone's throw away from all the main shopping and hospitality areas in the Pest part of the city.

Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Room was very comfy, spacious and clean. Free WiFi in hotel and free buffet style breakfast.

A very nice hotel centrally located. The area around it has many eateries and bars.
The metro station Deak Ferenc is a 5 minute walk away. The Great Synagogue is across the road from the hotel. St Stephane’s Basilica is a 10 minute walk. The 100 E bus that takes you to the airport is a 5 minute walk from the hotel also.
The staff in the hotel are very friendly and professional and the rooms are clean and spacious.

Nicely finished property in a prime central location.

No “spa” to speak of, only a hot tub you’ll need to pre book.

Staff are helpful and friendly.

Rooms are nice, however the pillows are a little flat and not particularly nice.

All in all I’d recommend this hotel for a night or two.

On. Oui à change après avec supplément de 19 euros par jour mais la climatisation ne marchait pas bien on a eu froid
Le jacuzzi était très sale on n’en n’a pas profité dommage
On a eu une alarme à minuit et demi pour incendie ,c’était effrayant on est tous sorti et même pas un mot d’excuse le lendemain même pas une petite compensation pour ce préjudice moral (on n’a pu as pu se rendormir après)

I wish I can give then 0 stars, worst customer service, there is never a Manager available, they took my money, they denied a refund even when I called they never had an idea what to say and there was no one to explain the situation. They just roll the ball until you get tired so they don't give you back the money, even Expedia said was a nightmare to deal with them when refunds are needed. They never gave me the refund and good luck calling for it. What a scam. Avoid it!! There are other places worth your money than this. Save yourself the trouble.

Wonderful staff that were very helpful. Hungarians in general are very nice people but these guys were great. The breakfast was top notch( although hella unkosher) and you can go use the coffee machine anytime you want down in the lounge area. Great location for the Jewish quarter sites including the Dohany Synagogue and the house that Theodor Herzl lived in. Also walking distance to all the other city sites, would come back again. Annoying thing was the room got very hot but we opened the windows for 10 min then it was perfect.

When we first arrived at the hotel the woman behind the desk was too busy messing with her nails to assist us. It set off a bad first impression. The room was adequate and comfortable. It would be nice to have wash clothes in the bathroom. All in all, we are neither positive or negative on this hotel. There were two outstanding employees, a younger gentleman who provided us with wonderful restaurant reservations. The other was a black woman ( sorry we didn't catch her name) who also provided excellent customer service.

We booked two rooms 7 months in advance, for a family trip. On arrival we were told that one of the rooms had been double booked. The staff suggested that two of us could stay, and the others would have to go to another hotel, totally unacceptable. We eventually got two rooms at opposite ends of the hotel, after a stressful debate with staff, but witnessed other people with booked rooms, being sent to other hotels. The hotel claims to provide drinks and snacks throughout your stay, where breakfast is served. On each visit there were no cups or teabags, and the middle table was full of utensils that had not been cleared away or washed. When we asked staff, we were told there were teabags in our room, which there wasnt.
The hotel is clean, and in a good location for the main sights. However i would not recommed due to the above problems. I have booked hotels many times through Expedia, and this is the only hotel that there has been a problem with the booking.

The hotel is situated in the center of the city, within 20 minutes walk to the Danube River and majority of the attractions. Although the room is bit small, it's clean and well decorated. The breakfast is very good and there is always free drinks, snacks and desserts for the guests throughout the day. The receptions are very welcoming, friendly and knowledgable about the city, offered us good advises and helped us booked tours. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay with them again in the future.

This hotel was amazing. Its within a 20 minute walk of all the big tourist attractions and is near all of the restaurants. The hotel offers complimentary food and drinks to include beer and wine from 1100-2300 hours. It has an elevator. Breakfast was made to order from the menu and included as part of the stay. The rooms are updated, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and always cheerful. This was the best hotel i stayed at during my month long tour through Europe.

I would suggest arranging airport pick up through the hotel and the owner will meet you and guide you to the room. It would be a challenge to do so on your own because of the layout of the city.
The cost was cheaper than city taxi and he was very nice and helpful.

They had a nice breakfast and access all day to their lounge with some drinks and snacks. The location was close to many places in the Jewish Quarter. The ac was not working efficiently at all during our visit where the temperature was in the high 90’s. The staff was not friendly or helpful with places to eat etc and didn’t seem the least concerned for our comfort or visit. They basically just shrugged their shoulders and we were on our own.

The hotel located near the center which allows touring the city by foot.
The hotel is very clean and the stuff is very helpful.
The breakfast is excellent.
The hotel includes 24h open buffet with hot and cold drinks which allows you to take a coffee break and discuss your next place.
In the first floor room we had weak WIFI but in other parts of the hotel it was OK.

단지 방이 15qm 아주 좁게 여겨져 답답한 느낌을 주었습니다.
특히 입구가 좁고 바로 옷장이 있어서 좁은통로를 지나 침대로 들어가 수 있어서 더 좁게 여겨졌습니다.

Location was fun for us. There was a heat wave during our stay and the AC was not turned on for the hotel. Unfortunately this was our major issue. We tried to run just the fan and it was not working. We asked for a portable and one was brought right away. They were right in the room fan and fixed it. If a hotel advertises amenities like AC, then they should be available at anytime. Not when the hotel seems it appropriate. All staffmembers are to be commended as they did a great job and they made our stay a plesent one.

The hotel is across the street from the Dohany Street Synagogue one of the top attractions in Budapest. It is also close to major shopping, restaurant and entertainment areas.
The room we had was small but with ample storage space. There is an excellent breakfast included in the price that is available each morning.

The check in experience was great. We were two rooms but one wasn't ready yet. They still gave us the one and explained everything so clearly. We loved the lounge and the room itself was clean and functioning. The only downside was a restaurant recommendation we received. The restaurant was fine but it was super touristy and we felt like the desk clerk was just trying to get credit instead of listening to what we were asking for. It was for tourists, through and through. Otherwise, lovey experience and staff. The view from my room was the synagogue, which was awesome.

As hotels go in Budapest, it's good value for money, the room is extremely small but very clean and in very good condition, near-new; the windows are narrow so don't expect much of a view anywhere. However, I LOVE the fact that they offer all day coffee, cappuccino, tea etc and I like their breakfast. They have a lovely lounge by the windows but the only problem is that it's where staff loiters talking really loudly all day long, until about 5.30pm. If they removed that problem it would be a fabulous hotel for businesses and couples. I also like their 24 hour exercise room, a real bonus.

Hotellet ligger i närheten av de flesta sevärdheter.
Vi är mycket nöjda med rummet som var ett standardrum, kanske lite trångt, men väldigt rent och fin stil. Det kändes även som det var nyrenoverat.
Rummet vette in mot en innergård vilket var toppen då det var lugnt och tyst där.
Sängen var lite hård enligt min preferens, men det gick bra att sova gott ändå.
Hotellfrukosten var bra med både varm och kall mat. Den enda kontakt vi hade med personalen var vid in och utcheckning, och städpersonalen hälsade när man möttes i korridorerna. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta boende.

Vi havde en forlænget weekend på Hotel Memories. Hotellet ligger helt perfekt og i gåafstand til det mest. Hvis ikke vi havde boet der, så havde vi aldrig opdaget de små hyggelig gader og ikke mindst ruinbaren som er et must. Hotellet er rent og pænt. Personalet er meget venlige og imødekommende. Værelset vi boede på var lille og morgenmaden var okay. Tænker at man får det som man betaler for. Alt i alt en meget positiv oplevelse.

Ich bin sehr zwiegespalten mit der Bewertung. Die Lage ist unbestritten 10 Punkte wert. Trotzdem möchte ich keine weiteren Punkte vergeben. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber alles sauber. Das Frühstück war ausreichend , alles ok. Die gebrauchten Handtücher wurden vom Boden aufgenommen und wieder aufgehängt. Unser Zimmer lag in einem Mauerschacht, wo wir mit Tauben auf Du und Du waren, so etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt, aber das war alles noch ok, weil wir ja nur zum Schlafen da waren. Doch eine Nacht war es durchgehend laut und uns war es unbegreiflich wo dieser Lärm herkam, es war unerträglich.

Vi rekommenderar detta hotell!😊

Vi bodde på detta hotell i tre nätter. Vid incheckning fick vi varsin drinkbiljett att lösa in i baren, och i loungen fanns fri fika hela dagen och kvällen. Hotellet låg nära hållplatsen, där busssarna gick till och från flygplatsen. I kvarteret fanns många mysiga matställen och vi tog oss runt till fots till de flesta sevärdigheterna. Utsikten från hotellfönstret över den stora synagogan var fantastisk. Utbudet på frukostbuffén var ok.
Vi skulle boka här igen om vi kom tillbaka!😊
