Excellent customer service and welcome when we arrived, thanks to all the team a Hotel de Mougins. Food we excellent, really tasty, high quality and made our visit special. Room was great, only two things were a little below par. Bed mattress seemed old and springs we could feel in the bed, and the shower heat was luke warm rather than hot each morning. But neither stole from our enjoyable stay, thanks.

We loved the quiet, clam atmosphere with excellent staff. The pool area was clean, well maintained pool and breakfast set you up perfectly for the day.
Almost perfect except that sometimes in cleaning the room daily things weren’t replaced once used. The Wi-Fi could also be stronger in the rooms further away from the main building. Parking was great and a good location to see the area.

Lovely area. Property needs landscaping and to address the bees while eating and new pillows. Morning buffet is a nice selection of quality food yet they rarely replace food that is finished, women serving food area in morning do not appear to like their jobs. If you ask for a food item in the at breakfast they respond that its closed, yet guests are in dinning area. There is no feeling of service and that a guess should be at a minimum acknowledged. I've never once experienced lack of service anywhere in France in 20 years. Gentleman behind front desk was both warm and helpful.

A disappointing stay at a once fashionable hotel trying to maintain its past glory.
There was a time when distressed, shabby-chic furniture was an acceptable look, but when it matches the distressed and shabby state of the room it must be time to change.
My ‘deluxe’ (sic) room #211, apart from a comfortable bed, has few redeeming features to warrant the €370+ stated tarrif.
There is no evidence of overall care to repair the chipped, damaged dated paintwork and furnishings or even to hang the curtains correctly on the rail.
The bathroom suffers from not looking very hygienic – with cracked and stained? flooring (not a good look in a bathroom), water damaged, rotting woodwork and a very unappealing bath/shower with a faulty shower, together with low quality towels and toiletries. It is easily surpassed by an IBIS or a rural LOGIS.
I did not try the restaurant, having been frightened off by the low standard of the lunch served at the pool bar.
At €14, it is hard to imagine such an ill conceived and badly presented dish as ‘Like a ratatouille’ (not) being served in a French restaurant. This comprised - half a very small aubergine, partially scooped out and griddled, with 3 small cubes of feta and a scattering of chopped white lettuce (iceberg I think, certainly not mache, mesclun or frisse) with no dressing or a hint of those wonderful, traditional Mediterranean flavours.
A full refurbishment of this hotel accommodation is long overdue, or an acceptance to reduce its rating.

absolutely beautiful place and really friendly staff. Great sized rooms and very comfortable but would of expected a more luxurious bathroom. Convenient shuttle service into town so don’t worry about being slightly outside of Mougins. watchout for the 7.30am earlier risers who reserve sunbeds with their towels and then don’t actually sit on them for half the day - this can be particularly annoying for us Brit’s who don’t operate like this (think someone at the hotel needs to put a stop this as it was a joke at times), however, the place is so nice you soon forget about it.

It would be nice if the pool was heated, and the prices are very steep for the area. We lived in the south of France, a block from the beach and have eaten at the finest Riviera Beach Clubs. Hotel de Mougins is not that, but their prices are.

We enjoyed our stay.A little difficult to locate initially but a quiet location. The rooms were very comfortable.The staff very willing.The pool area was particularly attractive, The only criticism is the cost of drinks and food.The owners/management need to revue their policy on pricing. 10 euros for a small glass of wine- dinner set menu 39/49 euros breakfast a shocking 22 euros for a continental breakfast.They must ask whilst the staff do so much to please and the detail of the rooms and grounds is exceptional why be happy when the bar and restaurant is empty-please do something about it. In all honesty the first night was very noisy with a loud group of guests up till 2,30 in the morning drinking (on company expenses I suspect).
I would recommend anyone to stay here but not burn money on the hotel food and drink.Which is a shame.

Close to Cannes but with space, a pool and free car parking. Good restaurant although they didn't know how to deal with my daughter's nut allergy and told me a green salad was just a green salad when I could clearly see oil all over it. It hadn't occurred to the rather snooty Maitre D' that if said oil was a nut oil (popular in France), it could have very grave consequences. The hotel phone system didn't work and we were told to call reception on our mobile phones! Our hotel safe became stuck with my purse and car keys in it when we had an important appointment to keep. The hotel staff worked hard to fix the problem (they did, eventually) but the problem should never have happened. All in all, this is an almost charming hotel crying out for someone to invest millions of euros in it. Update the furniture and technology and it would be truly lovely.

Expensive but charming boutique hotel with beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Rooms have small terraces with table and 2 chairs to enjoy the outside. Poolside dining reasonable, but gourmet dinner dining very costly. While hotel has continental breakfast for approx. 22 Euros, went to 1 of 2 local boulangeries for cafe au lait, croissants, baguette with jam and fresh juice for 7.5 Euros.
Hotel is quiet and out of the way but very accessible to beaches and other sites of interest. Difficult to locate as GPS in rental car took us to an isolated dead end residential street approx 1/4 mile away. So best to arrive in daylight to negotiate directions for the first time.

We had booked a superior room and it wasn't. It had a view of 2 huge pylons to the front and overlooked the staff smoking and rest area. The shower over the bath was in poor condition and there was black mould on tiles and grout

Nice hotel in quiet Mougins. First room was moldy on first floor near back so they upgraded us to second floor much better room. Very cute and charming hotel but smaller than expected. Service was very good but internet barely worked whole time they need to improve that and the restaurant was quite expensive. Nice pool and bath amenities.

We loved our time at the hotel. A quite, relaxing atmosphere away from the craziness along the coast. Very friendly staff, great restaurant (the foie gras is to die for), conveniently located close to the highway so one can explore the French Riviera. Highly recommended.

There was one hick up on the first night when the night porter didn't open the Main gate because he was absent from the his post for awhile.
Management was really sorry and dealt with it accordingly.
Overall the Hotel was very nice with a pool and service was very good.

Mougins is a great place to stay and explore the south of France. Great restaurants, cozy old town and quiet surrounding neighborhoods. The hotel was beautiful and peaceful and extremely easy to find. Definitely a place for people with cars however. A big soft bed, big clean bathroom and plenty of friendly help. Only negative is the price of breakfast. If you don't book a room with breakfast then save some euros and walk over to the nearby cafe for pastries and delicious coffee.

L'hôtel est très bien. Je recommanderais d'éviter la chambre 101 située trop près du hall et mal insonorisée. Les conversations tardives voire nocturnes tenues dans le hall sont bruyantes.

L’accoglienza non è stata delle migliori perchè alla reception non c’era nessuno e abbiamo aspettato 10 minuti. La struttura è bella e di charme però molti particolari denotano una scarsa manutenzione. Colazione eccellente (da prenotare subito o è molto costosa), parcheggio interno con chiusura notturna.

Es hatte die ersten Tage eine Tagungsgruppe, die morgens über das eh schon magere Frühstücksbüffet herfielen und bis in die Nacht sehr laut waren. Die entsprechende Servicekraft war leider nicht in der Lage für Ruhe zu sorgen.
Das Frühstück ist viel zu teuer mit 20 Euro. Das Brot und Baguette, wenn es denn hatte (3 tage lang kam keine Lieferung und es hat einiges gefehlt), wurde aufgebacken. An einem Tag war es innen noch gefroren. Der Kaffe kam aus einem Automaten, der auch ständig nicht ging, war sehr dünn, hat schrecklich geschmeckt und Milchschaum gab es leider nicht.
Die ausgewiesenen Raucherbereiche waren wohl das gesamte Hotel. Sehr störend war, dass auch beim Essen geraucht wurde und obwohl Nichtraucherzimmer gebucht, um mich herum Raucher einquartiert waren.
Zudem war das Zimmer in der Nähe der hoteleigenen Abfallcontainer, deren Metalldeckel nachts um 23 Uhr mehrfach zugeschlagen wurden.
Das Servicepersonal wirkte überfordert sowie unmotiviert und zum Teil waren sie frech.

O hotel é charmoso e com boa localização, mas praticamente não tem serviços. Ao fazer o check in fomos informados que o quarto ainda não estava pronto. Ok. Ao pedir uma estimated tempo para que o quarto ficasse disponível, a resposta da recepcionista foi “não tenho ideia, pode ser 30 min, 1 hora, nao tenho como saber”. Quando finalmente o quarto ficou pronto, ficada mim anexo. Ao perguntar se tinha alguém para ajudar com as malas a resposta foi negativa. Tivemos que carregar as nossas malas para o quarto. Ao chegar no anexo, o quarto ficava no 2o andar e não tinha elevador. Perguntamos de novo se alguém poderia nos ajudar a levar as malas ao 2o andar e novamente a resposta foi negativa. Após carregarmos as malas escada acima, descemos para almoçar. Eram 2:05 pm, mas fomos informados que o restaurante fechava às 2:00pm e que não era mais possível almoçar. Perguntamos então se não poderíamos comer uma salada ou um sanduíche. De novo a resposta foi negativa. Após as 2:00pm não havia nada para comer. Enfim, um hotel charmoso, bem localizado ( especialmente para quem vai jogar golfe), porém faltam os serviços básicos de um hotel 4 estrelas. Uma pena.

Superbe endroit bien entretenu. Le personnel est très gentil. Nous avons eu un séjour très agréable à cet hôtel, qui aurait été encore plus agréable si nous avions eu accès au restaurant de l’hôtel. Je recommanderais cet hôtel à quiconque visite Mougins ou Grasse.

De manière générale, l'hôtel est charmant. Malheureusement nous avons pris une première chambre dont l'état de la salle de bain était franchement limite. La douche était cassée et les joints présentaient de la moisissure. La peinture et le carrelage étaient aussi dans leur jus. Nous avons donc demandé de changer de chambre avec une baignoire et son état était identique à la première : vetuste et présentant de la moisissure sur les joints de la baignoire. Le pommeau de douche était jauni par la vieillesse et la barre de douche tenait miraculeusement...
Pour une nuit à 120 € c'est limite. Il méritait peut-être ses quatres étoiles il y a 10 ans mais ce n'est plus le cas.
