Great place to stay near Antibes, we traveled by car and after trying other options returned here for comfortable rest. Rooms are clean and we'll equipped, staff is super attentive, there are entertainment options on the property. Highly recommended

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I used to come here about ten years ago, and loved it. Now EVERYTHING is awful! Ceiling leaking, restaurant is a joke, air conditioning does not work, and the hotel itself needs to be totally remodeled/rebuilt. It looks like 2 star hotel, and Ibis down the road (same Accord chain) is MUCH BETTER, for 1/3 of the price. Just a really awful hotel...

The area near Sophia Antipolis is beautiful with much to do! The buidling is modern and secure. We were welcomed at the front door by staff who provided an easy checkin. When we arrived to our room the air conditioner was not working but they quickly assigned us to a new room where everything ran perfectly. The room was basic but had everything you need including complimentary water. They do have a big eating area that was well decorated but it is extra and we decided to go elsewhere. The pool closes early around dinner time so my kids were disappointed but it looked nice! Overall we would stay here again!

A first real experience in a beautiful setting

Like most places we've stayed in the Novotel chain, this one is really first rate. It's immaculately clean, well appointed, and staffed by people who are uniformly pleasant easy to deal with. The buffet breakfasts are varied and of high quality. The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating and offers a nice array of options. The outdoor portion is well shaded and on a terrace that looks out at the swimming pool and at a vast array of lovely greenery. The bar is well stocked and staffed from around 10 a.m. until 11 in the evening. We have stayed here three times before and will certainly do so again the next time our travels bring us anywhere near Valbonne.

Average and good hotel - with basic features

This hotel is generally acceptable and for £85 is not too bad. The hotel room is pretty basic (no atmosphere) but has a kettle and tea/coffee and also bottle of water complimentary. Novotel's use of brown carpet with some squares or patches makes it look not very clean. Although it has air circulation but no a/c. I tried to use a/c but had no luck. Staff - good and courteous - restaurant good and decent food. Nothing is excellent but good - hence the average mark.

Free parking and a warm welcome from staff at check in. Breakfast options was also very nice. However the hotel itself is a little outdated once you start heading up to your room. But if you are looking somewhere near Cannes (as Cannes hotels are expensive!) and you are not fussed too much about the room, this is a good option.

The hotel is in an out of the way location. The pool was very clean. Outside terrace very nice. Children’s playground with tennis courts and table tennis . Reception area very child friendly with pool and football table. Books and games table. Our room was clean but decor very dated and smelt of smoke .

fairly good hotel

Friendly and helpful staff much appreciated. Spacious room. Restful sleep. Very nice food at restaurant. Nice terrace overlooking the swimming pool.
Hotel could do with a revamp thought, dirty stained outdated carpet everywhere in the hotel(room included)outdated bathroom, dirty stained paint everywhere in the hotel. A little disappointing for a Novotel.

Good base for family holiday with car

Good location for those with a car. Friendly staff. Good facilities. Good breakfast. Don't eat there in the evening. We tried twice: first time they only served paella so we went elsewhere. The next night was utter chaos with too few staff trying to serve a packed restaurant all with karaoke in the foreground. Good all arrived at the wrong times, cold and undercooked. Complained in the end for a full refund. Still a terrible evening so best focus on all the wonderful alternative restaurants in the area and just use the hotel as a base for the night.

avoid if your travelling with your family.

Whilst this Novotel isn't any different from any other Novotel we have stayed in, nice enough, staff helpful, rooms clean etc, etc..... We did to our complete horror experience the ugly side of human nature, after spending 10 years traveling through France with a mostly positive experience this was about to change at this Novotel. On one occasion a lady in the swimming pool said to my son (12) who was swimming and enjoying the facilities...\" move boy\" on a second occasion my 9 year old daughter was standing inline waiting to get an orange juice from the self service breakfast only to have a guy say \" get out of my way\" how can the French people be so rude and horrible to children yet say nothing when those same children are standing with their parents ...... We will not be staying here again.

Pleasant stay. However, we were booked into a smoking room despite our request for a non smoking room. They had tried to mask the smoke smell with air freshener but I requested to change rooms as I had 2 kids. I had to change rooms twice before they could accomodate my request.

A/C was there but not brilliant, even at the lowest setting we had trouble getting a sweat free sleep.

Restaurant breakfast and service can be a bit substandard during busy times.

Once again, I experienced the rule that when you book through Expedia, some hotels automatically direct you to the worst possible available room (closest to entrance, ground floor, noisiest, etc). Won't be back.

We are from Canada and just arrived via Lyon, which wasn't a great experience. It was a nice change to spend some time at a friendly place, with a pool and restaurant. We have our dog along so the walking path out back was super convenient! We will stay there again for sure!

Nice getaway.

Rooms are larger than comparable priced hotels in nice or Cannes. Breakfast is great. Staff is friendly.

Only one issue I had. I got hungry at 3am and tried calling room service but no one answered my calls there for an hour. Then slept hungry.

Nice quiet location for hotel. It's relatively isolated from other things to do so you definitely need a car to do anything here. Very friendly staff. Not a massive selection for breakfast but it was pretty nice. I would stay here again.

Novotel Sophia Antipolis was a great location for exploring the Cote d'Azur. Our young kids loved the pool and the room, although a bit cosy for 4 of us, functioned perfectly. Also has the best designed bathroom for a hotel in this class. Puts other 5 star hotels to shame. Chapeau Novotel, Chapeau!

The hotel is located well if you have a car. It is up to 20 min by car to all places.
The main problem is the air conditioning in the room. The room is about 25deg. I prefer cooler. I complained at evening time. They said a technician will be a available only in the morning. He came the following day at noon. He claimed to fix it, but there was no change. They moved us a room, which was slightly better. Yet too hot in the room for me.
I was dissapointed that they told me the technician solved it, when actually, there was no change.

For usually very crowded South of France, the hotel is a perfect place to relax. It is located in the middle of a large green area, but nearby many tourist attractions. The hotel has a good size swimming pool and a nice patio restaurant. Rooms are quite small with queen size bed and no balcony. Hotel requires renovation and facilities are old.

I found the hotel quite good and relaxing, like the breakfast. however is not a hotel for business trips, as its very far from the town, and the taxis are quite expensive, no train service and the buses dont run till late, I was attending the film festival-Cannes and it cost alot on transport, and also very inconvenient'. for holiday makers with a hired car- its a nice place

It seems to be in a very business oriented district. However when we did find the hotel we found the bus service there quite good.

A good, affordable \"base\" for travelers with car

We booked this hotel last-minute, just for one night before leaving for the NCE airport to fly home . We were positively surprised, everything went smoothly. The hotel is standard -\"OK\", clean and tidy. The service was much better than we got at a 4 star, expensive hotel in Marseille. The best part was the kids playing room with the woman supervizing the play. We could leave our kid there for a while, and our kid was happy to be able to play by himself for a while after traveling by adults desires for a week. The pool area was nice. I would recommend this hotel for families with a car, to use as an affordable base for traveling in the area. I would not stay in this hotel as a \"resort\" type of stay. (There is nothing around the hotel to see - you need a car to see places). E.g. Grasse with its perfumeries is just 15 minutes away.

Le personelle etait tres gentille mais depacer manque d'effectif la chambre correcte mais tres petite la piscine manque de proprete l'eau netait pas claire yavais trop de clohre le petis dejener manquais de beaucouo de chose fallait a chaque fois demander et attendre . Faute de personelle .
Le diner netait pas variee et trop chere pour ce que cest on avait commander du poison et on nous la servie crue de linterieur mais jinsiste sur le personelle tres agreable et gentille

Struttura collocata nel verde a pochi minuti da Antibes, Biot e Mougins per cui posizione strategica per visitarli. Anche il mare quindi è vicino.
Camere appena rinnovate tutte e bene; l’hotel ha infatti riaperto il 1/8 dopo mesi si lavori che andranno avanti anche nell’autunno per aggiornare anche il ristorante e il bar.
Colazione varia, piscina bella (attenzione, hotel molto frequentato da famiglie in estate per cui un po’ di confusione in piscina), palestra piccola con solo 3 attrezzi cardio (ad ogni modo a 50 metri di distanza dall’hotel c’è un parchetto con attrezzatura per fare esercizi all’aperto nel bosco).
Complessivamente bene e ci ritornerei di sicuro.

Une honte ! Hôtel dans son jus et daté ! On nous vend un 4 Étoiles, c’est à peine un 2 étoiles ! Tout est vieux, sombre, mal insonorisé et sale ! Je n’ai jamais vu ça ! Et on paie le prix fort ! Canapé lit des années 80 ! Ma fille sentait les ressorts ! Problème de climatisation, murs qui s’effritent ! Le pire séjour dans un hôtel !

Hotel calme mais qui na plus le standing d'un Novotel , materiaux usés, mobilier d'exterieur totalement degradé, vernis usés, siege cassé etc... la reception est une simple table haute, bizarre comme style mais cela fait négligé. PDJ médiocre et banal pour 16€ !! J'espere qu\"une renovation sera prevué a tous points de vue afin de nous redonner envie de frequenter cet hotel.

Ci siamo trovati bene .Immersi nel verde ,piscina, colazione buona. Unica pecca la moquette in camera e nei corridoi sinceramente è stra vecchia e anche se pulita non sembra esserlo! Meglio piastrelle o parquet 😁
