Our room looked as though it was not cleaned. I had to ask for all new bedding due to ours being dirty when checking in. There were toenails all over the floor and it was dirty. I really don’t think our room was cleaned before check in. Very disappointed due to the price I spent.

This hotel was perfect for 2 of us that came to town for an event at UNI (3 minute drive/20 minute walk for reference). The price was right, the exterior is nice & well kept, and the interior was consistent with that. Overall very clean, pleasant staff including the housekeepers we met in the elevator. Another review mentioned noise from the highway, but we did not find this to be a problem. (We were on the highway side too). Water pressure in the shower is great, there were plenty of towels (bonus points for that - usually hotels just give the bare minimum), and there was a hair dryer! Beds are OK - more on the firm side, but I slept fine.
When choosing a hotel I'm always looking for a pool/hot tub and continental breakfast & this had both. The pool is a little smaller than the pictures, but that's OK. It was full of kids the few times we checked - all the way up to 10pm, so we did not take advantage of the pool area. I know this is relatively out of control of the hotel, but a suggestion I would offer would be \"adult only\" swim time from 10pm-12am. Lastly, the breakfast was a little underwhelming. There appeared to be only 1 person staffing everything - from making more eggs, to cleaning up tables, to refilling silverware. He was definitely overwhelmed, and nothing got refilled while we were there. I made a waffle, ate it with a spoon, and called it good. It was not a make or break for our stay, and all around we really enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely be back!

One of the loudest hotels I have ever stayed. They updated the floors and there is no padding.... you can hear every stomp and step. I thought the kids above us were going to come through the floor! Pool very cold and hot tub was cooler than a warm bath. Breakfast was horrible, no food out and dirty.

Bed was not made completely with fitted sheets rolling up over mattress in the room assigned, pillows questionable, and some crumbs on the floor. They gave us a new room. The new room was ok, but obviously not cleaned thoroughly as there was still food in the cupboard from prior guests . At 830 am breakfast was out of oatmeal, eggs, sausage and we got the last yogurt. Juice dispenser not working, water dispenser not working, and out of napkins. We have stayed here several times in the past but the facility needs a refresh and a better staffing plan. Drew was doing his best at the front, but clearly didn't have the support needed. Will look at other hotels next time

overall hotel is about a three star. Looks pretty clean on the outside, but in the inside it’s slightly ran down but in the middle of a remodel. The Jacuzzi in the suite was very outdated but functional. The swimming pool area was about a four out of 10 as far as cleanliness so swimming with my child was a little concerning.

Rooms are generally clean, but there was ketchup or sauce on the wall by the microwave and other little things that show only the basic cleaning gets done. They over chlorinate the pool in the afternoon, so if you go later in the day and/or the evening it's so bad your eyes are burning and skin gets very irritated. I know this happens then because our 1st night there we went down to sit in hottub and it was so bad we couldn't hang out long. We avoided it Sat, then had grandkids spend the night and went down Sun early and it was perfect...pool was warm and no burning of the eyes. We took a break for lunch and went back down later. Then about 6ish I believe we seen them walk in with 5 gallons of (I assume) chlorine, because shortly after we started to feel the effects. If sitting in hottub you'd start coughing and the eyes started burning as well. Also if you want breakfast get down there early....they do not keep it stocked til the end, eggs ran out and was still 15min left (sign actually said 10:30 but we were told 10) and when Inasked if nore was coming Inwas told no, it closes at 10. There were several of us in there still, I'd maybe understand if it was just me....but since there more people I'm sure they would've gotten eaten.

Front desk guy was great, very responsive. Place was clean. Appreciated the coffee bar all day. Good breakfast. My only complaint was that the first morning when I went to the hot tub it was barely warm - front desk guy said he was still heating it and to come back later but I didn't have time to wait. Second morning he said water was low but he was adding more and it should be ready very soon, I came back a while later and the water was still super low (jets were spewing over the water line) and barely hot. So I was disappointed with the hot tub but very satisfied with everything else.

The front desk staff English was not very intelligible. We arrive three hours after check-in in our room was not finished being cleaned. The floor had a dip in it and the bed was really hard. We stayed in the hotel with a large group and breakfast was not prepared to accommodate a large group and therefore ran out of food before we had to leave.

It was a beautiful room, and clean. Looked like they are currently rennovatiing or something due to weird tub floor. Also the toilet paper stand was like full on buster and leaning lol 😆
The room they had me in was right next to the laundry room so it was a bit liud, plus they were doing something right outside my door to the ceiling so that was also loud. Overall a really good stay, wish they had plowed the parkinglot more, lots of chunks of snow and ice made it hard to see the lines. Id probably stay again just request a different room.

Floor and shower were dirty upon arrival- let the front desk staff know and they said they would let housekeeping know, but nothing was rectified. Pool was a bit too cold to swim but hot tub was good (though there was quite a bit of sand or dirt piled up on the hot tub floor). Was nice to have a restroom/shower/changing room in the pool area. The hotel was nearly fully occupied so breakfast was a madhouse... could have benefitted from additional staff to keep it clean and stocked. The food was not good. The eggs were made with questionable cheese and the breads/pastries were stale. The waffle batter was separated and the use of plastic liners in the chaffing dishes was not good for food quality- causes too much condensation build up. Then was surprised that I had to shovel out my own car after it snowed overnight. Overall, disappointed with the accommodations but still got the job done for what we needed.

The sheets were not changed from the previous guests… food was in the bed when we pulled the sheets back. The chairs need to be cleaned as you can see the BLACK dirt on the arm rests. No cookies were out during the whole stay like they are supposed to be. Breakfast was definitely on a budget!

Listed check-in time was 3 PM arrived at 4 PM to check in was told the room wasn’t ready. Ask the front desk clerk what was available. He said “you picked the cheapest room nothing is available for that price” I picked the first recommended room by Expedia. went back-and-forth with the guy for 20 minutes and then he said your room’s ready room was decently clean. We were only there to use the swimming pool didn’t stay the night didn’t eat breakfast. I just feel like if my room wasn’t ready something different would’ve been offered to me.

Overall, the hotel was ok. Our room was spacious and clean. The issue I had was our room did not lock. You did not need a key to open the door, anyone could just open the door. Even with the deadbolt locked and the hook lock, you could still get in from the outside. We did not realize this until it was too late, and we were leaving. Upon check out, there was no one at the desk to tell and there was just a drop box for the keys.

Everything was good, especially the staff. Delicious cookies offered at the desk. And very good coffee.The front desk gentleman was especially nice.
The room was comfortable but had areas that had not been dusted. The bathroom sink drained very slowly. The bathroom tub is old and stained. Needs to be updated. Breakfast was good. The overall hotel property looked well maintained. Other than a couple of issues with the room, it was a pleasant stay.

One bummer was the television. It had an ancient program where the channels ran and you had to edit and then enter the number. It brought back memories of my childhood!

The rooms were ok, the pool area was not cleaned well, an old bag of candy was laying by the hot tub for who knows how long. Black mold caked on the vents in pool area. Breakfast was terrible, no sausage ,no orange juice, cranberry and apple juice was obviously watered down, the milk was expired by a week with chunks on the top. Save yourself, go somewhere else.

Check in was smooth. Our first room had obviously not been cleaned, the bed was unmade, the bathroom had trash in it and used towels on the floor.
We were given a second room, which was clean, but no tv remotes and two burnt outlight bulbs. We were given one tv remote but the bulbs were never replaced. We asked for a discount on our room several times and no manager was ever present and no compensation was given. The breakfast was decent and the property was well kept and conveniently located. Expected better service for the price.

We have stayed here previously and had an excellent stay. This time there was a terrible smell in the room, especially bathroom. Smelled like cat urine. Also the price of the hold for incidentals went up to $100 and we were told it would come off following check out. The charge is still pending over a week later and every time I call the hotel they’ve said they would look into it and call back and have not. I definitely won’t be staying here again. Very disappointed

I had a great stay in Cedar Falls at the Country Inn and Suites! The place is quiet, staff were friendly, and I enjoyed a nice soak in the (clean) hot tub after a long day. Breakfast included, so this was a great value, too.

Cable was horrible. Room appeared clean till I moved the furniture back to where it belonged. Laminate flooring so furniture was easily moved. All kinds of crumbs, nuts and chips all over under the furniture. Bed was very comfortable, but needed to be vacuumed under. Bathroom clean. Breakfast was good...
