While the staff were welcoming and helpful, this hotel looks nothing like the pictures you see on the internet. It is run down and neglected. The towels were dirty. One of the washcloths had mascara on it (not my mascara). When we saw how dirty the room was, we skipped the breakfast. What I thought was going to be a relaxing stay in Cedar Falls turned into a \"how fast can we get out of here?\" layover.

The hotel didn't quite match the photos. They had baggage carts but no elevator. Stairs only. It was dirty. The bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, especially behind the door. The carpets were dirty, and I saw an earring back in the living area. Breakfast was just as questionable. There was butter but no bread or bagels or anything. Yogurt cups & dry cereal. With a gallon jug of milk that everyone handled and shared. Kinda gross. The lids didn't fit the coffee cups. Nothing else for breakfast.

The personnel were friendly and kind.

The photos are entirely misleading. The toilet was broken and wouldn't flush. I was given a pencil to dip into the tank to dislodge the flapper for a flush. The hairdryer sparked and smoked, and I was afraid the smoke alarm was going to go off. But then I found that the alarm had been removed. The floors in the room and hallways were not vacuumed, and there was litter on both.

I arrive at 8:00 am because my flight was delayed I checked in for a 2 night stay. I made it until 4:00pm. I checked out because it was so bad. Carpet was dirty and stained, I found garbage on the floor that was not cleaned up. Shower was old scratched and rusted. Molding falling off the wall. I did not expect a lot for what I paid but I did expect clean. It was worth the loss of the 2 nights I paid and the d yea I paid for a new hotel to leave early.

I liked that it's close to my relatives. I didn't like the noisy air conditioner on the ceiling. The grout in the bathroom is dirty (poorly applied). No elevator! I had to manage a huge suitcase to the second floor. The staff was ok (no complaints). I cancelled my reservation after one night.

This entire stay was a disaster. I knew it was older and outdated bc of the photos, but given we didn’t have many options bc of weekend event in the area, it wasn’t a big deal. At first glance, it looked ok. Beds were made and it wasn’t terrible. I walked into the bathroom and it was obvious it had not been cleaned. There was hair all over the bathtub and on the shower walls. The toilet did not flush. There was an insanely annoying buzzing sound about every minute that went on all night in or around the desk. (We looked but could not find where it was coming from.) The tv was glitching and remote did not work so it stayed on all night. (Idk why I didn’t just think to unplug it—that was my fault, but should I even have to?) I asked for a different & clean room, the man said they did not have any other rooms. I asked him to come and clean the bathroom. He showed up 10 mins later with a plastic glove, removed SOME of the hair, and no cleaning supplies. The wall was stained with hair color from hair left there. I asked him to properly clean & not just remove the hair, and all he kept saying was “Sorry, ma’am.” After a horrible nights rest bc of buzzing sound, I went to the front desk to check out & discuss all the issues. While discussing, another lady approached as well saying their bathroom was equally as dirty with hair all over it. We bought baby wipes so we would not have to shower there. There wasn’t any effort to make anything right. Pay the extra $ and stay elsewhere!

Stayed 3 nights. No housekeeping the day after first night and was told by management that all housekeeping staff had quit. False fire alarm on the third night with no intervention with management to the guests and the hotel was far from being full. Condition of room was just okay and the mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Would mot stay at this hotel again.

Worst hotel ever

Arrived after 4pm, room was not ready needed to wait. The room was filthy and stunk. The tv had direct Tv and inly 1 channel worked, front desk came to check it , he couldn’t fix it and left, also there was a plastic bag taped over the smoke alarm and when I mentioned it he did t seem to care. We then told him we were not staying and wanted to cancel and get a refund.

We were in town for a dance weekend. This place is all we are looking for. It was easy to drive to and from venue. The room was clean, truly non smoking. Needs some areas of fixing, but nothing that was an inconvenience. Breakfast was simple, and good. Located next to shopping and eating places. The price was good. Safe place.

Wasnt impressed with anything. Not as clean as I would prefer. Heater made noises, would rather not use. Breakfast lacking: 2 cereals, toast, yogurt, watery gross looking pancake mix. Lid for coffee cups are too small to fit. Shampoo and conditioner samples mustve been half empty bc they were used prior to us. Wash cloth smelled. Would've been fine if it was a $50 night place to stay just to try to sleep somewhere for a minute.

Dirty worn out room. Head hair and pubic hair in the tub and bathroom. No pancake mix or milk or hot water for oatmeal. Juice was watered down. Management refused to bring out any more milk. It's a cheap place but you get what you pay for. Be prepared.

Picked this place trying to save a buck so I didn’t expect a lot but they did not meet the very low bar I’d set for it. No staff anywhere to be found. There was a bunch of junk lying around at the front desk. No lights on in the entry way. Very dark, dank, run down. They put a $100 deposit on my credit card even though Id already paid. I cant think of anything I could possibly have broken there worth $100. Room was freezing. I turned the “heater” on. It only blew cold air all night long. It looked like they were in the middle of a remodel at least I hope they were. Sheets smelled clean despite being covered in stains. Didnt bother to turn the TV on or take a shower. Would gladly have traded the $20 I saved on literally any other hotel in town.

Absolutely terrible! Room hadn't been cleaned. Shower was full of soap scum and towels/bedding stained. Asked for a different room, second room didn't have the power on. Dirty and the fridge stunk like power hadn't been on in months and standing water sat. Absolutely disgusting, staff said they just got the hotel. Clearly the new owners didn't perform basic cleaning of the rooms before begining taking money from customers. Was a process to get a refund.

There was also a $100 deposit that was not clear online, and I still havent gotten it back... its been only about 4 days, im in NEED of it (the transaction says its still pending too, but i dont have any of that money).The cool air and heat stopped working half-way through our 6 day stay. The people at the desk were nice enough, but they didn't have much to eat for breakfast either.

Frankly, as a pregnant woman this stay felt like it would never end. It was cleanier than most hotels but that doesnt makeup for the disrespectful management.

The woman who checked us in knew about our dog and yet we were required to pay an additional 80 dollars which i might add they never told us when they put the payment through. In addition, they said it would be 180 but they would do us a favor and bump it down to the charged price. We were never informed about this upon arrival.

Doors slamming at almost every hour on the hour and need i remind you i am 7 MONTHS PREGNANT! And i already have a hard time sleeping.
Also very loud music coming through the vent in the bathroom. We are pretty sure we were placed in the room next to what seemed to be their storage room. It was as if we needed an eye kept on us like we were criminals. Microwave worked but only if you needed something cooked for a minute.

I had gone down for breakfast and made myself waffles, before i could even eat a man comes from around the corner and practically stares me down. \"Why, why you did this?\"(a mess of batter that i did not clean up yet) \"this is no good\", same man who told us not to bring cereal into room. Again clear criminal treatment. Or maybe just a thing against woman.

The wife who i assume was married to that man was very much in the wrong for calling my fiance a liar. As she walked away.

We would expect either a full or half refund. Or a few nights free at a later date

I used to live in Cedar Falls and this hotel used to be all right. This place has gone really down hill. There is no money spent on upkeep much less upgrades. Breakfast was a joke. No coffee ever. There were several concerning things about this property. There was a huge brown stain on the floor by the bed. The stain reeked of cigarette smell. The lampshade on the desk was broken and had been set directly on the light bulbs - a potential fire hazard. The smoke detector was hanging from the upper wall by the wires - not sure if it would have worked in case of a fire. The mirror on the bathroom door was filthy. The phone in the room appeared to have scorch marks on it. The metal Kleenex box covering was full of rust spots. The sink leaked A LOT, all over the floor. When I contacted the person at the desk about the leaking sink, he said, \"What do you want me to do about it?\" I was stunned at his comment! I asked for another room, but he said there weren't any other rooms (I'm not sure if that was accurate or not). He brought us more towels to mop up all the water and gave us a $5 bill as compensation. We put a wastebasket under the sink to catch all the water that was leaking. We did NOT shower the next morning as the tub looked rather grimy. There were very limited breakfast items, plus a broken juice machine. We went to a restaurant for breakfast, after we checked out. Will NOT stay there again!

Overall the neighborhood was fine, felt aafe for a late night check-in but when we checked in guy at sesk never spoke a word to us. When we got to the room, the door was ajar, held open by the security lock. Made us really nervous. Bathroom was disgusting! Floor had wear holes in it, chair had atains, and we found a smooshed bug on the wall!

my room was very clean and mini split HVAC was very good.
HOWEVER I have a few negatives....
In spite of only 2-4 cars in the parking lot AND never seeing another person in the hall in a 2 day stay....I was told there were no rooms on the first floor, so lots of stairs and confusing halls....so IF you are older or have issues with mobility, check first
Also my remote for the TV did not work at all and manual turn on limited my choices to 3-10 channels
Coffee machine in room may have worked.....but part to hold coffee was missing.
I did housekeeping in a major hospital ER so small things catch my eye.....bathroom door mirror was quite dirty....Little things matter

I chose the motel after looking at pictures of the place on Expedia, the place looked nothing like the pictures on the website. I was traveling alone and did not feel safe or comfortable. The place was dirty and run down. Had a moldy/dusty smell when you walked in the door. Employees never came into the room to change towels or sheets in the 5 night stay. I had to go to the desk to ask for toilet paper. I would never stay at a Days Inn again.

In a pinch sure.

Good location. Room was okay. However bathroom was dirty and tub was dirty and drain was broken. Staff came into my room while I was out to dinner and took the AC controller. Side by side Rooms share an AC, because I turned it off and the other room wanted it on the remote was removed from my room. Staff member that entered my room felt no explanation was needed. When I asked for the remote back so I could manage the room temp, I was given attitude.

Absolutely disgusting! All they did was make the beds and spray some fabreeze. The floors, bedding, counters and fixtures were so dirty and gross. It looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The mirror, doors and walls were disgusting. There’s also paint chips and speckles on everything. The ironing board had smeared boogers on it. The desk, dresser and nightstand had dried sticky residue. This place deserves 0 stars. I even found mouse poop. The check-in staff was sitting in the lobby on his phone when I arrived. I greeted him first and was at the counter before he even stood up. He said nothing at all, didn’t even explain breakfast times or anything at all. It was also noisy as heck!! You could hear the TV and people in the next rooms until almost 3am. For a place that has 300 rooms and not many guests you could at least clean a freaking room and space out people. DONT STAY HERE.

It smelled terrible all through the hotel. The check-in guy came out with no shoes on at all... and then took my driver's license and credit card out and around the desk making his way to a hotel room around the corner to ask some lady something and I kinda followed him cuz I didn't know what he was doing with both my cards. Will not stay there EVER again... The beds were okay and clean but the room really needed a lot of work and renovations...

Smoke detector was laying behind the tv and of course not working. No 'do not disturb' door hanger. No tv guire which made it hard for an out of towner to find anything to watch. Top of toilet did not fit right. No Bible, pen or paper.

Staff so kind. Bed comfy. Breakfast good. Check in great.
Needs a better up keep-a lot of small things unattended to that distracted. (Paint touch ups, worn/torn carpet, and a few corners could have been cleaner) Well stay again as we are only there to sleep and then have breakfast a couple nights.

Going into room had cigar smell. I was told that the A.C. would get smell out It didnt
Move to other room much nicer. 2nd room A.C. didn't work well. Paint chips in bathroom and sink. Rust and what looked like mold in bathroom. Had to bring in fan to cool room.T.V. was about to fall off cabinet. Took pictures.
